Chapter 8: New Members and A New Uzumaki
"What is the meaning of this?" Jura asks them wondering what they're plan is since they can't arrest them for taking down a dark guild.
"Ah Jura of the Ten Wizard Saints. It is an honor to meet you in person. My name is Lahar of the Reformed Magic Council who will not let the We're not here to arrest you guys. We're here to arrest Oracion Seis.
"They're already back in business!?" Lucy yells surprised at how fast, the council was able to reform.
"We have been reborn to uphold the law and protect justice." Lahar tells them as Natsu is worried that they're going to arrest him and the others.
"You can relax, we aren't here for you. In fact, Oracion Seis isn't even our primary objective, as we have come for someone who has infiltrated the Magic Council, persuaded the council to fire an Etherion bomb at the Tower of Heaven who was using it to revive Zeref the Black Wizard." Lahar tells them and all look over to Jellal much to the shock of everyone.
"Wait!" They turn around to see Natsu getting into a stance. "He helped us against them, he deserves his second chance!" This had set off a reaction from the rest of the alliance except for Naruto who didn't react like the rest of them did.
Before anything could happen though it looked like a fight was about to break out. They all feel a heavy amount of pressure on them as everyone looks at Naruto with his aura radiating with power as some people were starting to hyperventilate from the force they could feel coming from him.
"Enough! Natsu let him go!" Naruto shouts at everyone.
"Naruto you can't be serious!" Natsu shouts in disbelief at him choosing to hand him over and was about to say more to him until Naruto raised his hand to silence him.
"I promised the Master that I would bring everyone back safely and that includes fighting with the Magic Council." Naruto states seriously as he wants to avoid them and bring everyone home.
Despite what he says, Natsu refuses to listen to him. "Even so, why must we allow them to take him, when he has finally regained all of his memories and wants to make things right with everyone!" He continues to shout at Naruto.
"Sometimes the path to redemption is serving the time as a start if he goes willingly. If you guys fight them now, not only will you make things harder for us, but for him as well." Naruto explains further raising his power.
"Thank you and for what it's worth Naruto. I am sorry for keeping you prisoner for all that time." Jellal tells him when Naruto nods, understanding it wasn't entirely his fault.
As they take Jellal away and leave the group to themselves. They all turn to Naruto who looks with a blank expression not able to tell what he's thinking.
"You can all hate me for this if you want. I wouldn't judge you, but I want you to know that I didn't do this because of what he did to me. I truly believe that sometimes you can begin your redemption by doing what needs to be done. He says this as he looks over to Erza who is staring at him with a blank expression to the point where Naruto can't take it anymore and disappears using a bodyflicker where he reappears nearby not able to stand her stare any longer as he feels she hates him even more now and starts tearing up scared that she doesn't want anything to do with him anymore.
"Where'd he go?" Lucy asks concerned for him when she remembers him breaking down after what happened with Erza and decides to talk to her on the way to Caitshelter.
"Well let's head on to Cait Shelter now so we can rest before heading home tomorrow." Jura tells everyone who agrees as they are all tired from the eventful day and from dealing with the Magic Council.
They had made it halfway to the guild when Lucy decided to talk to her about it and what had happened exactly. "Hey Erza, what happened exactly between you and Naruto? I ask because earlier when something happened between you two, he had been crying nonstop and saying how you hate him for whatever reason as he wouldn't tell me, but it had me worried. I could tell he was slowly losing himself to Nirvana when I found him and it didn't look good, so what exactly had happened?" Lucy asks wanting to figure out what had happened and to see what she could do to help them patch things up.
By the time Lucy had finished, Erza had been silently sobbing remembering how things had turned out and what she said to him. "He was crying?! Are you sure?! Erza trying to confirm what she was told, but to her horror Lucy nodded in confirmation that he had been crying when she found him and the state he was in.
She goes on to explain when Naruto had saved them both and teleported them out of there to a an area on Nirvana, to him punching him in stomach which caused her to go defensive saying how Jellal had no memories of who he was or what he had done, but the way it all sounded as if there was something between them, especially when she said how he was someone special to her and how she told him to leave them alone as she didn't want to see him right now and to try to talk to Jellal.
By the time Erza had finished her story, she was crying openly on what she had done to him thinking that she hated him and with what just happened and how she looked at Naruto didn't help either as it looked like she didn't care for him anymore.
Lucy taking in all this information didn't know what to do to handle this, but did know one thing for sure that needed to be done and that was for her to talk to him and settle things right for them. "Erza you need to talk to him and set things straight so he doesn't think things like this especially with what you had told me, if nothing is done then things will only get worse for you two and I don't know what will happen at that point. If he feels betrayed then he may not be able to trust any of us and that could push him to leave the guild and us. Knowing that his trust and loyalty is everything to him and if he feels like this, he will eventually start having doubts about all of us, so you need to find him and set things straight.
"You're right, but I don't even know where he is since he can hide his presence completely." Erza says as she sighs knowing how difficult he can be to find when he wants to be hidden from anyone.
"Maybe he's already at Cait Shelter and waiting for the rest of us to get there, so that would be your chance to sort things out with him." Lucy tells her hoping that this cheers her up. Erza ends up agreeing with her on this as she is right on everything that was said to her as he didn't trust many people growing up knowing how he was treated in his village.
They finally make it to Wendy's guild and find Naruto already in his tent resting as Erza decides to talk to him to clear things up. While they had talked, Cait Shelter decided to throw a party and to get everyone some new clothes as well since what they had on was ruined for the most part already.
Naruto and Erza
"Naruto? Are you awake? I want to say I'm sorry for what I said and how I reacted to you. I didn't even think about what I was saying, only what had to come to my mind. I am so sorry I hurt you. Lucy told me how she found you and I never meant to hurt you like that. Is there any way I could make it up to you?
"It wasn't just you either. I may have been hasty when I saw Jellal, but it did make me think you hated me with what was said and how you sounded when you had said those things, it just made me feel like I was just someone temporarily until you could find him and when you found him. It just hurt and it made me feel used and that you hated me for everything. When I had said that Jellal could really start repenting for his mistakes in jail, I meant it and that it wasn't because of what he did to me. When you were staring at me like that, it felt like you didn't believe me. I can hope that you do though, believe me and aren't mad at me for it." He said to her,
It took hours, but they were eventually able to come to understand that they had both made mistakes and that Erza never hated him or would ever want to leave him which was a relief to Naruto. "I couldn't see my life without you like their other girls. I care for each of you and if anything were to happen to any of you. I don't know what I'd do. Erza Scarlet, I do love you very much and hope we can get past this and become closer." Naruto had finished talking to her.
Erza was happy that he loved her as she had felt the same way for him and couldn't help but agree with him. He leaned forward and captured her lips on his own with passion as she returned it with equal force. He pulled back with a smile and tears that she didn't hate him and had forgiven him for it and decided to ask her something that would change everything. "Erza-chan I was wondering if you wanted to move in with me? I was going to ask you and the others when we got back, but I feel like now is the perfect time to ask you now and the others when we get back." Naruto asked her.
She couldn't believe what she had just heard him ask her. She couldn't stop crying tears of joy that she hadn't been able to say anything so all she could do was nod at her which made him grin and smile knowing she said yes. He pulled her in again to kiss her and hold her while they stayed in their embrace for quite some time.
"When we get back, we can ask the rest of the girls and then start getting your things packed for the move." He tells her which she agrees with and is excited to start a new chapter of her life with him.
The rest of the night was spent as they cuddled and enjoyed the night when the others had spent, singing, dancing, and having a good time. Naruto had gotten to know the little dragon slayer a bit more now that they didn't have to worry about Nirvana and he had found out that she had a similar situation as Natsu who had left them 7 years ago and they don't know where they went, as that made him curious to look into for them as well. He would ask Natsu more about it later, but right now would just enjoy what he has now. He also found out that Wendy has some self-confidence issues when it comes to making friends and among other things, but Naruto told her that he would help her with that over time as he would visit from time to time which she was happy to have a new friend, even Charla was impressed as he seemed the most normal out of everyone and he was kind as well, so she didn't mind it as much. Little did anyone know though that Roubaul had been listening to their conversation and knew that Wendy would be taken care of.
The Following Morning
Now we find our group getting ready to leave with Cait Shelter with them to see them off and find Wendy not wanting Naruto leave holding onto him while Naruto smiles while shaking his head chuckling at her antics as he is finding an attachment to her as well with everyone see this chuckles at the scene at how cute they look as if they could be siblings.
"I want to thank you again for taking care of Nirvana and saving our guild from it. We couldn't be more grateful for this endeavor." He said, but he noticed that Naruto was staring at him, widening his eyes as he must have just noticed something about him.
"It was our pleasure to help even if Nirvana originated from you Nirvit right? I could tell something was up when Zero was having its target here for a reason and it took me until now to figure out until last night during the festivities.
"You would be right. You're quite sharp for someone so young." He chuckles at him.
He goes on to explain how they are not the descendents, but Nirvit themselves much to the shock of everyone except Naruto as he had a feeling that was the case. He goes on to tell them of the history and how they had created Nirvana as well as being thought projections for the last 7 years for Wendy and now that she has found friends and a family, he wouldn't need to be in the living world anymore.
"I am sorry Wendy, but I am just a spiritual manifestation to protect Nirvana and watch over it, so nothing could happen to it like what just happened with Oracion Seis, but when the blue haired boy brought you in, I couldn't say no him when he asked me to look after you." He tells her sadly when she starts crying.
"No, that can't be true Master! I don't want you to leave me! Please!" She cries at him not wanting him to disappear from her life.
"It's okay Wendy, you no longer need a foster family, you now have a real family and someone who you can call your brother." He said smiling at her watching her blush embarrassment about getting close to Naruto like a sister would for a brother. "Please look after her and Charla as they will need you all to look after them."
"You can count on us. We'd be honored to have her as part of our family." Erza tells him.
They start to disappear one by one and explain how they were all illusions created by him to give Wendy the guild she'd always wanted.
"Please don't leave everyone! I don't want you to leave me!" Wendy shouts as tears are running down her face, but never notices Naruto hugging her while she cried into his shoulders as he stayed like that for her.
"It's okay Wendy, let it all out." He whispers into her ear, letting her release all of her emotions onto him while everyone else smiles sadly at knowing Wendy's guild was gone, but Naruto was there to pick her back up.
They soon head back to the others as Wendy looks at Naruto. "What will I do now? We have nowhere to go now." She says to him but to her surprise he shakes his head at her.
"That is not true. You can join us at Fairy Tail where you can become a part of our family." He tells her, not expecting an invite for them to join their guild. The rest of the group from Fairy Tail agreed with him and that they'd be welcomed there.
"Thank you Naruto-nii-chan, what do you think, Charla?" Wendy asks her friend her thoughts about it.
"It wouldn't be bad, as we don't have anywhere else to go. They seem like an interesting bunch." Charla tells her.
"We accept your offer than Nii-chan and everyone. Take care of us please." Wendy tells them and bows her head a little at them.
"Does that leave me with a question now that you're planning on joining our guild. Wendy, how would you like to become my adopted sister?" He asks, hearing her gasp not expecting this from him to want to adopt her like that, much to the surprise of everyone there, but not as much as Erza had expected to do something like that.
She starts tearing up on hearing him wanting to adopt her as his sister. "Yes Nii-chan! I would love for you to adopt me! Thank you so much!" She shouts out of excitement and crying at the same time never thinking that something like this would happen.
"You are welcome, my little Imoto. I promise to always look out for you and to make sure you have everything you need. What say you Charla, would you like to be adopted as well?" He asked not wanting to exclude Wendy's best friend since he's grown to like her too.
"I suppose, but you better take good care of Wendy, that's all that matters to me." Charla says somewhat bluntly.
"Of course I never break my promises. Thank you for letting me adopt you both."
Later on
Now we find Fairy Tail in the carriage on their way back home while Wendy is sleeping next to Naruto on his shoulder while everyone is listening him sing a lullaby to her as no one expected him to be able to sing, but welcomed it nonetheless except Natsu who was sick from the carriage ride until Naruto had an idea.
"Here Natsu let me try something, can you crawl your way over here? I'm not moving at the moment waking Wendy-chan when she has had a dramatic day." Naruto tells him.
He does what he asks of him hoping he does something to help him with motion sickness. He notices the sun mark on his hand forgetting that it was there and remembers what he said he could do with it.
"I'm gonna try using the sun mark on you and see if it will help you a bit." He tells him
The mark being used actually worked on him as he jumps up from his spot in happiness.
"It worked! Naruto! You're the best. I won't ever complain to you ever again.!" He tells Naruto as he bows to him for his help.
"I forgot you could use the sun mark to heal others as you usually use your Mystic Palm." Lucy tells her.
"So you're really going to adopt her? I didn't see that one coming, but I'm not at all surprised by it. Erza says to him. "I do like the idea of having a little sister though. I wonder how everyone else will react to this."
"I'm sure it'll be fine, but that does remind me, does anyone have a lacrima? I want to contact Makarov, so he can get the paperwork ready for when we arrive it'll be ready for us to sign." Naruto asks his friends.
"I have one that Raubaul gave me when we left." Charla says.
"Thank you Charla. I appreciate it." Naruto thanks her and takes the lacrima from her.
"Master! Master, are you there?" Naruto asks having gotten through to the guild.
"Yes my boy I am. What can I do for you?" Makarov asks him.
"Everything went well Master, everyone here is fine and we're heading back now, but I have a favor to ask of you. First we'll be receiving two new members to the guild, but the favor is can you get some adoption papers for me? I'm adopting one of the new members as my little imoto. Do you think you can get them for me, so all we will have to do is sign them?" Naruto waits for an answer when he doesn't hear from him for a while.
"You're what!?" Makarov screams through the Lacrima.
"Yes master. I decided to add a little sister to my family and we couldn't be more excited. Can you not tell anyone as I want it to be a surprise to them, especially the girls?" Naruto asks.
"I suppose, but I'll want to hear the story of how this came to be as it sounds intriguing to say the least, but yet I can get them for you my boy." Master says to Naruto.
"You wouldn't even know half of it and thank you master. This means a lot to us." Naruto says smiling at him and excited to officially have a little imoto.
The rest of the trip went normally and not much had happened for the most part. Naruto did tell Wendy that he had contacted the master of Fairy Tail to get the adoption papers ready, so all we'd need to do is sign them. It made her so excited and happy, \she kept bouncing on her feet which made everyone laugh at her excitement. Naruto had hugged her for all she was worth until she started having trouble breathing and simply said things like "I am the luckiest nii-chan in the world." and smothering her with hugs. Everyone that had seen this, had thoughts running through their head, sweat dropping at his behavior. 'Who knew he had a side like this of a sis-con.' Everyone is thinking the same thing.
They were finally back in Magnolia town and we now find the group in front of Fairy Tail getting ready to go in, but they noticed Wendy wasn't moving from her spot and Naruto had wondered what was wrong.
"What's wrong little sis? I thought you'd be excited to meet your new guildmates?" Naruto asks.
"I am, but I'm more nervous than anything nii-san." She says while looking at the ground which makes her that much cuter to everyone.
"You'll do fine, Wendy-chan, you have everyone here to support you, but you'll love it here and everyone here will enjoy your company as well, so please try not to worry so much okay?" He asks.
"Okay nii-chan." She says timidly.
"Well let's go say hi to everyone." He says
They walk in and they see a brawl happening which comes as a surprise to no one, especially now when Natsu and Gray jump in to be a part of it. They walk through the chaos until they get to the bar where they see Mira cleaning the mugs when she sees them and waves to them.
"Welcome back everyone!" She says happily. "How did the mission go?"
"It went well, we were able to stop the guild and they are now in the custody of the Magic Council." Naruto says.
"That's good, where are Natsu and Gray?" She asked until Naruto pointed to the brawl and sure enough they were in the middle of it going at it with everyone.
"You shouldn't be surprised with them as I'm certainly not, but they are amusing to watch that's for sure." He says.
Mira notices the little girl hiding behind Naruto with the white cat that looks the same as Happy.
"Who is the cute little girl and the cat?" She asks.
"This here is Wendy-chan and this is Charla." He introduces them.
"Hello. I'm Mirajane Strauss, but you can call me Mira like everybody else does." She says to introduce herself.
"Oh wow. It's Mirajane Strauss, the Mira! It's a pleasure to meet you." Wendy happily says to her excited to meet someone as famous as her.
"Is the Master in his office?" He asks.
"Yes he is. What's this other thing you need to get from him, Naruto-kun?" She asks suspiciously.
"Oh you'll find out what it is. You'll be surprised, but love it nonetheless." He tells her as she pouts not knowing what he's up too.
"Mouu you're so mean Naru-kun, why not just tell me? She says while moving her chest forward to show some cleavage hoping to entice him of his secret.
He leans forward to whisper to her ear when she doesn't see his smirk. "I'll tell you. After I visit the Master. He tells her laughing at her reaction to that.
"We better go now Wendy-Chan. I'll see you later Mira-chan." He says while still laughing.
Mira just sits there wondering what just happens as she blinks at the whole situation until she realizes what just happened. "I just got pranked and damn was it a good one. Completely left me hanging like that. I'll make sure to get him back for that one." She says.
Makarovs' Office
"Master, I'm back." Naruto tells him.
"Naruto my boy, glad to see you all made it back, I take it this is Wendy and Charla?" He asks.
"Yes this is Wendy and the cat is Charla." He introduces them. "Wendy, Charla, this here is Master Makarov, the Third Master of Fairy Tail."
"It's a pleasure to meet you two and I hope you come to like it here at Fairy Tail." He says to the girls.
"Thank you Master." Wendy says timidly.
"Now Master, do you have the papers for us to sign?" He asks him.
"Oh yes I do, right here. You need to sign here." He says. "You understand Wendy, that your name will be Wendy Marvell Uzumaki correct?" He asks, wanting her to make sure she understands that they'll be adopted siblings now.
"Of course Master." Wendy replies excited to have a new brother officially.
"Well then congratulations. You are now officially Wendy Marvell Uzumaki." He announces. "Let's go get your stamp and I'll introduce you to everyone."
"Nii-chan has told me about some people already, so I look forward to meeting them in person." Wendy says.
Outside the office
They walk out and Makarov walks to the stage. "Listen up everyone! We have two new members here that I want to introduce to the guild. This one here is Charla, who is like Happy and this lovely girl here is Wendy Marvell Uzumaki!" He announces.
No one says anything as everyone turns around to look at Naruto as to what happened.
"Yes she's now an Uzumaki, I adopted her as my little sister, so please be nice to her." He says. "My Imoto deserves the best, so treat her as such."
"Nii-chan, stop it, you're embarrassing me!" A blushing Wendy says much to his amusement.
As if on cue, everyone starts cheering for the new members and Makarov decides to throw a party to celebrate the new members of the guild.
Right now we see Naruto and Wendy in front of Levy, Cana, and Mira. "I take it this was the surprise you had in mind, Naruto-kun?"
"Yep and I wouldn't change anything. I'm sorry though I didn't bring this up with you guys, but while I was gone, we got to know each other and got along so well and she is just so cute. It felt like I was really looking at a sister and when her guild was disbanded, I ended up asking her if she wanted to become my actual sister to be adopted as one and she was just so excited about it. You should've it, she couldn't stop bouncing everywhere. It was adorable." He gushes about his sister, much to her embarrassment.
"Nii-chan stop, you're embarrassing me." She says with a red face.
"But why can't I show how much I care about you imoto. It's my job to do that." He says like a child.
"Now, now Naruto-kun, be nice to her and not embarrass her. Well my name is Levy McGarden and I'm one of Naruto-kuns girlfriends." She says to her.
"I'm Cana Alberona and I'm one of his girlfriends too."
"And you already know me and one of his girlfriends too." Mira says.
"I know. Nii-chan told me about all of you and I hope you can take good care of me. He also told me about where he came from too, so I know everything about my nii-chan. "He also said, I'd get to meet his parents and Godmother, but was hoping you could tell me about them, since nii-chan?" She asks.
"We'll tell you about them tonight and some of the embarrassing stories that we've been told when you get settled in the house." Mira tells him.
"That reminds me, I want to ask you three something important since I already asked Lucy and Erza and Wendy already knows this too." He tells them. "Would you three like to move in with me? I thought it would be a good idea for us to be living together."
"Yes of course!" They shout and tackle him in a hug excited to be moving in with their boyfriend.
"Great. I'll help you girls pack tomorrow since tomorrow will be a new chapter for us and I can't wait to see how it goes." He says. "I love you three very much."
"We love you too Naru-kun!" Mira says happily while tearing up. She knew he loved her, but hearing him say it, means the world to her.
Levy's openly crying as she knows how important it is for him to say something like this. "You mean the world to us as well, I'm not sure where we'd be if you hadn't appeared in our lives and I can't wait for what our future holds."
"Cana was sobbing as well with a grin on her face. "Oh you are the best to ever happen to us. You have made us the happiest women that we could ever imagine by saying those few words and for us to be living together. Thank you Naruto-kun for everything.
With that being said, they spent the rest of the night, talking and getting to know little Wendy and enjoying her company and spending time With Naruto as well with the girls planning to redecorate his place which he's dreading for, but will do it for them as long as it makes them happy than he will handle anything.
That's the end of the Chapter! Figure this would be a good way to end it with a great note and an emotional one too. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did writing this out. See you guys next time! Next Chapter 9: Edolas?!
