Currently in Devon's home, Devon had awoken and was walking to his kitchen when he smelt a foul smell and said,"Ugh, what is that?"

"Morning Devon, why do you have that look on your face?",Rose questioned while walking up to Devon. Devon looked at Rose and sniffed her before covering his nose and saying,"That's you! Haven't you taken a bath since you ya know came back from Hell?"

"I've tried to bathe but for one, I don't know where any of your daily cleaning supplies is and two, apparently it is against the law to bathe in a lake.",Rose said in a thoughtful tone as she remembered. Devon groaned then he led Rose to the bathroom and said,"This is where you bathe. You use the shower and my bathing supplies are my body wash and some towels I have."

Rose's expression was that of someone who had no clue what Devon was speaking about then Devon sighed before saying,"Let me show you."

After a few minutes of showing Rose how to work a shower as well as brush her teeth, Devon stood outside of the bathroom door with a set of clothes in his hands then he heard the shower stop then Rose said,"So, I use this large towel to dry myself off with?"

"Yes you do then you put these on.",Devon said while cracking the door open and handing Rose the clothes he held for her. Rose took the clothes and after a few minutes, she came out of the bathroom wearing a red basketball jersey and black jeans. Rose looked at her clothing then said,"Something's not right about these."

Devon raised an eyebrow then his eyes widened when Rose ripped the bottom portion of her pants legs off, changing them into shorts, then she said,"That's more like it."

Devon blinked four times the said,"You're just naturally destructive aren't you."

"Eh, possibly. Anyway, how have you been Devon? Anything happened with that brace you got last week?",Rose asked while casually walking to the kitchen with Devon. Devon walked with Rose, looking at the brace on his left arm, while saying,"Nothing has happened with it except for the fact that I can't take it off."

Rose stopped in her tracks and looked at Devon with her eyebrows furrowed. She then took Devon's arm and tried to take the brace off of it, stopping when Devon called out in pain. Rose stopped then tapped her chin and smiled before summoning her scythe and saying,"Hold still."

"Whoa whoa wait! Why did you summon that?! Also how did you summon that?",Devon asked while backing away from Rose. Rose looked at her scythe then said,"I was gonna use it to cut that brace off. Also I learned I can summon this thing even outside of my armor while I was training."

"No cutting of any kind will happen with that thing unless it's a demon.",Devon said in an insistent tone. Rose grumbled,"Fine you big baby." As she made her scythe disappear.

Devon let out a sigh of relief then he said,"So, what do you want to do today, seeing as how none of your old team has shown themselves in a bit."

"I don't know really. Kinda want to know more about this time period. Example, why is it that you all are okay with showing a lot of skin. Not that I mind because I can wear shorts without almost getting beheaded but it just intrigues me.",Rose said while plopping herself onto Devon's couch. Devon nodded then said,"Well I think the best way to do that is to either watch TV or go to the mall."

Rose looked at Devon with confusion and Devon simply said,"Come on." while moving to the door. Rose sat up then followed Devon, putting on a pair of running shoes Devon had got her.

Half an hour later, Rose was inside the mall with a stunned expression and her jaw dropped then she said,"This place is gigantic!"

Devon looked around then said,"It is, but there are bigger buildings in the city."

Devon then looked at Rose to see that she had moved towards a store when he wasn't looking. He made his way over to Rose and once close she asked,"What is this thing?"

"It's a mannequin, they're used to show off clothes as well as other stuff.",Devon said, seeing how Rose's face lit up at all the sights.

Unbeknownst to the duo, Balrog and Jacoby watched them from the second floor with Jacoby having a fearful expression on his face. Balrog smirked and said,"There she is."

Jacoby tried to leave but Balrog snatched him by the back of his shirt while saying,"Make a demon."

"Are you sure? I mean I know that's the plan we're all going with but it's broad daylight and.",Jacoby hastily said. Balrog made him look her in the eye and her eyes were now burning orange and she commanded in an angered voice,"I said make a demon!"

Jacoby nodded in a frightened and hurried fashion before Balrog tossed him to the ground and he walked away to make a demon. Balrog's eyes changed back to being Hazel then she turned back to scowl at Rose and Devon.

Back with Devon and Rose, Rose had entered a clothes store and was looking at many jackets and shorts while Devon followed behind her. Rose stopped when she saw a crimson jacket that had striking black accents on the sleeves and a black hem and lining then she said while smiling,"This looks amazing. I want it."

"Do you have any money?",Devon asked.

"Uh… no.",Rose answered while turning to face Devon.

"Then you can't get it unless you steal it and that's not happening while I'm here.",Devon said. Rose frowned briefly then she began feeling a tingling and said,"Demon nearby."

"Seriously?! Are you a magnet for these things or something?!",Devon asked while stretching his arms out. Rose raised an eyebrow then Devon said,"Forget the metaphor and go fight the freakin thing."

Rose nodded then she left the store in a hurry. Devon sighed then he noticed that Rose still had that jacket on when she left and he ran after her, having to duck down when Rose flew over his head before crashing into a snack cart. Devon stood up straight and went over to Rose as she picked herself up out of the destroyed cart, grunting and groaning. Devon stopped in front of Rose and asked,"So, this must be a pretty strong demon because it launched you into a snack cart."

"It's a pretty dead one too.",Rose said with frustration as her belt appeared on her waist. The demon stopped not too far away from Rose and Devon, revealing it to be a humanoid hyena demon that was incredibly muscular and had pitch black eyes, teeth, and claws. Devon was startled by this demon and he hid behind Rose, who pushed him back before saying,"Henshin." and changing into Drow. Drow then charged at the demon and jumped up before punching the hyena demon in the face. The hyena demon stumbled back then slashed at Drow, who managed to dodge the slashes. She then punched the hyena demon in the gut three times before she was slashed five times.

Drow stumbled back then jumped out of the way, avoiding being slashed once more, before she punched the demon across its face. The hyena demon stumbled to the side before it cackled and slashed at Drow with a rapid speed. Drow blocked as many of the slashes as she could before she was hit by a lot of them then kicked back into a wall, cracking said wall.

On the second floor, Balrog chuckled at the fight between Drow and the hyena demon then she looked to the side as Jacoby walked up to her, while in his demon form. Jacoby huffed then said,"There, I made a demon. Now can I go home and gain my strength back."

"What strength? All you are is the weak little mongrel you've always been. Why do you think you got Envy.",Balrog said in a mockingly amused yet sinister tone. Jacoby frowned then he held his head low as he changed back into a human and walked away from Balrog, who continued to watch Drow fight.

Drow dodged a slash from the hyena demon then she took off her scarf and it turned into her scythe. She spun the scythe around before slashing at the hyena demon three times, all of them being dodged. Drow was then kicked across the face then slashed across her stomach, causing her to fly back into a bench and drop her scythe. Devon gasped then he ran over to the scythe and tried to pick up but it changed back into a scarf. He let out a confused noise while saying,"What the? Why did you?"

Drow stood up and groaned before she managed to block the hyena demon's claws before uppercutting it in the chin. This caused the demon to go straight into the air. Drow looked back at Devon and said,"What happened to my scythe?!"

"I touched it and turned back into a scarf.",Devon said while looking at Drow.

"What?! Why did it do that?!",Drow asked, frustration showing in her tone.

"I don't freaking know! All I did was touch the dang thing!",Devon said with some snippyness. Drow groaned then she dived towards Devon as the hyena demon crashed into the ground. Drow immediately got to her feet and took the scarf, causing it to change back into a scythe. Drow and Devon looked at the scythe then Devon said,"Guess the scarf only responds to you. That sucks."

"Not to me.",Drow said while putting her crystal into her scythe. The scythe's blade become engulfed in surging blood red flames then Drow slashed a blood red X at the hyena demon, the slashes hitting the demon and causing it to explode.

Drow relaxed herself and reverted into Rose, who huffed then said,"Finally!" while throwing her arms in the air. She then let her arms down before looking at Devon and asking,"Please tell me there's food back at your house?"

"Not really. I need to go to the store for groceries.",Devon said. Rose raised an eyebrow towards the tall man before Devon said,"Groceries are basically just another way of saying getting supplies."

Rose nodded then she was going to leave but Devon stopped her and said,"Take off the jacket."

Rose frowned then did so.

Back with Balrog, she had an excitedly sinister grin on her face as her eyes glowed fiery orange and she appeared to have smoke coming from her skin. Balrog was going to jump down towards Rose when Hezikiah appeared in front of her and said,"Not now Balrog."

Balrog gritted her teeth then angrily said,"Hezikiah?! Why are you here?"

"I've been keeping an eye on you to make sure you don't go and try to fight Rose so suddenly.",Hezikiah said while turning to face Balrog. Balrog scowled then said,"Why are you doing that?! You know I can easily kill her and her new friend right now. I mean she's a walking power source for me."

"That exact reason is why I am stopping you. Because unlike the rest of us, you are the most volatile and, pun not intended, fiery. You're even starting to burn your clothes off.",Hezikiah said, pointing out how Balrog's clothing had begun to have burned sections on it. Balrog glanced at her clothes then she grunted in frustration before saying,"Next time you stop me, I'll use your corpse as a punching bag."

Balrog then walked away from Hezekiah, in the direction opposite of where Rose and Devon were going. Hezekiah let out an exasperated huff before saying,"What am I gonna do with that girl?"

Hezekiah then turned around and watched as Rose and Devon left the mall with a look of interest.
