Drow and Crusiad were fighting Voria and Rufus with both having trouble against their opponents. Crusiad kicked Rufus three times then he was hit by Rufus' mace and punched in the chest. Drow dodged two slashes from Voria's claws then she was punched twice in the face then kicked in the back. Drow and Crusiad crashed into one another then they stood up with Crusiad saying,"This isn't going well for us."

"I can see that Dev. Got anything that can actually help us?!",Drow responded. She then had to block four attacks from Voria before swinging her hammer but missing Voria.

Crusiad ducked Rufus' mace then he slashed him across the stomach with his knife before back flipping away from the large man. He stopped and blocked a punch but he flew back several feet and tumbled onto the ground.

Drow swung her hammer at Voria several times then she narrowly dodged two balls of sludge that Voria spat at her. She grunted when her back hit a car then she dropped to the ground to avoid being hit by another ball of sludge. Drow rolled to the side then she was back to back with Crusiad once more.

"What's wrong Rose? Not as strong as you thought.",Voria taunted before biting into a parked truck.

"Can you please die already. I want to go home and nap for a few weeks.",Rufus yawned while almost dragging his mace along the ground. Crusiad and Drow stayed in place then Crusiad said,"Okay, I think I got something that can work."

"Mind saying it before we die.",Drow said.

"Rufus is really strong but he's incredibly slow and durable plus he tires out easily. Voria, from what I can see, is fast but her attacks don't hurt too much and she uses that acid vomit to try and close the distance with you."

"Okay, where are you going with this?"

"What I'm saying is we're fighting the wrong opponents and need to get the right ones."

"What are… Oh, I see what you mean."

"Good, now let's beat these guys."

"Don't have to tell me twice."

Crusiad and Drow then spun on their heels and charged at the opposite opponent, which made Voria and Rufus gasp in surprise.

Drow charged at Rufus and she easily dodged swings from his mace. Drow blocked two of Rufus' attacks then she hit Rufus with her hammer causing him to stumble to the side. Drow hit Rufus with her hammer three times,causing Rufus to crash through an ad kiosk. Drow spun her hammer then she readied it while saying,"Now we're getting somewhere." and smirking under her helmet.

Crusiad easily dodged several of Voria's sludge balls then he kicked her in the chest before dodging her claws. He dodged swipes from Voria's claws then retaliated by punching her in the face then he slashed her torso several times before kicking her back. Crusiad chuckled then he had royal blue flames engulf his fist and he punched Voria in the space where her abdomen would be. Voria gasped from this punch, causing her what appeared to be lime green blood to escape from her mouth.

In the conference room, Cleo and the others watched Drow and Crusiad fight, then Adonis said,"They're putting up a good fight against Rufus and Voria."

"You sound pleased by this.",Cleo said while looking over her shoulder at Adonis.

"I'm not necessarily pleased by this but I am intrigued.",Adonis said while pointing at Crusiad.

"Well that's a surprise, you're taking an interest in someone that isn't you.",Hezekiah said while turning to Adonis.

"Oi, I may be the best of all but it doesn't mean I can't acknowledge when someone has great strength in their own right."

Hezekiah shrugged with a look of understanding then he looked at Balrog to see her glaring at Drow. Balrog had her usual angered expression on her face and her eyes never left Drow until she saw how Drow and Crusiad were working together.

Back with Drow and Crusiad, the two warriors landed attacks on their opponents then they stood back to back and Drow said,"I think k we've beaten them pretty good. Let's end this."

"I'm with you.",Crusiad said while readying his knife.

"Finish us? Wait, wait, if you spare me I can tell you things.",Rufus said fearfully.

"Rufus, shut up!",Voria exclaimed.

"What things?",Drow asked, facing Rufus and keeping her hammer at the ready.

"Like I can tell you why you were sacrificed. There's more to it than what Jacoby told you.",Rufus pleaded. Crusiad and Drow looked at Rufus with Crusiad looking at Drow. Voria took this opportunity to charge at Rufus, her claws prepared to dig into the large man's torso, but she was stopped by Crusiad and Drow punching her in the chin with fist that were covered by their respective colored energies.

Voria exploded mid air then landed on top of a car unconscious, changing back into her human form. Drow and Crusiad turned to Rufus and Drow menacingly said,"Start talking or I crush you with my hammer."

Rufus nodded, then he fearfully stammered,"The day before you were sacrificed, we met all of us and we decided to sacrifice you to Satan to become the vessels of the seven deadly sins."

"I already know that, fatso!"

"Maybe, but you don't know that you were chosen for a reason."

Crusiad tilted his head to the side slightly while saying,"What reason could you all have to sacrifice your friend?!" angrily.

"Rose was the youngest of us and the most unknown. She was nothing more than a peasant girl before she joined us so sacrificing her would be as though we were getting rid of a forgotten animal.",Rufus fearfully said. Crusiad clenched his hand around his knife's hilt then he looked at Drow to see that she was shaking angrily.

Rufus looked between the two then he said in a cowardly tone,"I have told you what I said I would. Now let me go, please."

Drow remained somewhat silent then she said in a shaky voice,"Let you go? Sure, you can go."

Rufus smiled thankfully and got to his feet and turned around, only to hear Drow shout at him,"YOU CAN GO TO HELL!"

"Rose!",Crusiad exclaimed as Rose rapidly changed into her flame form and put her crystal into her scythe.

"PENANCE BREAK!"

Drow mercilessly cut down Rufus and he stumbled back before exploding in a large ball of sickly green flames. Rufus was now back in his human form and laying in a crater with his clothes tattered. He was also snoring during this.

Drow held her scythe tightly and began to walk towards Rufus but she stopped by Crusiad. Drow pushed Crusiad back then she swung her scythe at him three times, with him dodging them all. Crusiad then managed to grab Drow's scythe changing it back into a scarf and he threw it to the side.

"Rose, they're defeated.",Crusiad said in a calm tone.

"I don't care! They deserve to die! They all deserve to die!",Drow shouted while throwing punches at Crusiad. Crusiad dodged the punches then he caught both of Drow's fists and looked at Voria and Rufus to see they were gone. Drow looked to where the two were and reverted into Rose.

Rose looked around then she said in angry sadness,"No no no NO! Where'd those bastards go?!" while raking her hands through her hair. Crusiad reverted into Devon and he walked up to Rose, who turned to him and began hitting him in his chest.

"Why did you stop me?! Why did you stop me from killing them?!",Rose said while hitting Devon. Devon, who wasn't phased by Rose's hits, simply held Rose by her wrists then he said in a caring tone,"I couldn't let you kill them."

"Why?! They deserve to die by my hand! They deserve to die.",Rose responded, tears slowly beginning to well up in her eyes.

"They do, but I don't want you going back to Hell because of them."Devon said sternly but with a caring tone. Rose simply stared at Devon for a moment then she began sobbing uncontrollably before she hugged Devon. Devon hugged Rose, stroking her hair and letting her cry into his chest. Rose sobbed and held onto Devon even as she felt her knees, with Devon holding her the entire time.

Holly woke up and stood to her feet, looking around in a daze. She then saw Rose and Devon and she slowly made her way to them.

In a cemetery not too far from where Rose and the others were, Voria awoke slowly and got to her feet. She looked around then saw Jacoby standing sitting on a gravestone with the crystal he was given in his hand. Jacoby looked up at Voria and smirked while saying,"Hey hey, look who's finally awake from her nap."

"Jacoby? What are you doing here, where are we?",Voria asked in a daze.

"Well I thought that'd be pretty obvious but apparently not, we're in a cemetery. Yeah, I brought you and Rufus here so you didn't get creamed by Rose."

Voria looked at Jacoby with apprehension,"Thanks. Where's Rufus?"

"Oh he's right over here, ya know sleeping as usual. Big lug probably used up all his energy in the fight.",Jacoby said while pointing to the sleeping Rufus that was beside a gravestone. Voria nodded then she said,"I think I did too. Well at any rate, thanks for saving me. I'll see you two later on, I'm going to go home and rest."

Voria then began walking out of the cemetery limping and holding her side.

"See you later V, and be sure to get plenty of rest okay. We still gotta get Rose ya know.",Jacoby said with his smirk. He then looked down at the crystal in his hand and it briefly had images of Voria's demon form and Rufus' demon form appear over it before going into it.

"Also thanks for the power.",Jacoby said to himself while smirking evilly. He then put his crystal away and looked down at the sleeping Rufus and sighed,"I'm gonna have to call an Uber for you aren't I? Dammit."

Jacoby then stood up and picked up Rufus' legs before dragging him out of the cemetery.

Later on at Devon's house, Rose was sitting in her room in the feedle position, her eyes red from crying. Her door opened and Devon stepped through saying,"Hey Rose, mind if I come in?"

Rose shook her head and put her legs down as Devon walked to her and sat next to her. Rose wiped away some tears then she said,"So how was Holly?"

"She was fine. After I explained some stuff to her, she went home. Don't worry, she's not going to tell my parents about us fighting demons and everything.",Devon said. Rose smiled briefly while nodding then she said,"That's good."

Devon looked at Rose with caring eyes then he said in a caring tone,"Rose."

Rose said nothing but she hugged Devon and Bevan crying into his shoulder. Devon hugged Rose and comforted her as she cried. Rose sniffled then she sobbed,"Why me? Why did this happen to me?"

"I don't know."Devon answered somberly.

"I thought they were my friends, I thought they cared about me. Turns out I was nothing more than an animal to them."Rose sobbed harder and held onto Devon. Devon let Rose cry then once she stopped he moved Rose back and said,"Look at me. Rose, look at me,"

Rose looked Devon in his eyes, seeing his care and affection while he said,"It doesn't matter what they think, not anymore. What matters is how you go on with your life and how you can use what they meant for evil for good."

"Why should I care about my life? They didn't."

"Yeah they didn't, but I do. I care about you Rose and I know you can be more than what you think you can be.",Devon said with sincerity and while pushing some hair out of Rose's face. Rose looked at Devon, her gaze focused on him then she nodded hesitantly. Devon smiled warmly then he said,"You're going to get through this and I'll be with you through it all."

Rose smiled happily then said,"Thank you. For everything."

"No thanks necessary.",Devon said with a smirk. He then stood up and was about to leave when Rose grabbed his hand, causing him to look back at her. Rose had her head to the ground while she sheepishly asked,"Would you mind if I slept with you tonight? I, uh, don't think it'd be good for me to be alone."

"No, I don't mind. Although, right now I am wanting to go cook some food. Want some when I'm done.",Devon said. Rose nodded then she let go of Devon's hand and he went to the door. Rose lifted her head then she stood up while saying,"Hey Dev."

Devon turned to Rose, seeing her standing and walking towards him while she asked,"Mind if I help you cook? I'd like to learn so I'm not constantly relying on you."

Devon chuckled then said,"I don't mind as long as you do what I say and watch intently."

Rose and Devon then made their way to the kitchen to begin cooking. As Devon and Rose cooked, Rose kept sneaking affectionate glances at Devon and trying not to be seen. Devon also gave Rose some affectionate glances but he always did it when Rose's head was down and he was helping her out.
