Currently, Devon and Rose are in the backyard with Rose walking away from Devon. Devon had his hands in his pockets and asked,"So, you were given the power of lightning and you're testing in the backyard with me here because?"

"Because the last time I got a new power, I destroyed the patio by accident,"Rose said while stopping and turning to Devon.

"Which took me forever to fix,"Devon commented.

Rose dismissed Devon's comment,"So this time, you're here to help me and see that I don't destroy anything."

"Yes but how would you even test out having lightning powers?"

"I… don't know, but that's why we're out here."Rose said optimistically. Devon crossed his arms,"It's cute how optimistic you are when it comes to doing potentially dangerous things."

"Thanks."Rose smiled cutely. She then readied herself before running at Devon and immediately slamming into him at a high speed, causing both to fall down. Rose sat up, now straddling Devon, and she said with a smile,"I'm super fast now."

"Yeah, you also hit me in the nuts super fast.",Devon said in a pained voice. Rose winced then she got off of Devon and helped him to sit up while he held his groin in pain. Devon nodded while Rose sat next to him saying,"Sorry."

"It's okay, you didn't do it on purpose. Although I must ask that you try not to do it again.",Devon replied as the pain subsided. Rose had an embarrassed smile as she nodded and sat next to Devon. Devon looked at Rose then he said,"So Rose, are you okay? Ya know after everything that happened with Rufus and Voria,"

"I'm getting better, I think. I'm mainly just trying to not think about it too much and that's working.",Rose replied while hugging her knees.

"Well, you can't just not think about it. Holding in all those emotions isn't good for you."

"I don't know how to get them out though."

"You could always see a therapist, but I don't know if that's an option considering you don't have a medical history or a social security number or anything that just about everyone from nowadays has."

Rose giggled,"Well until you find a way for me to get out my emotions, I think there's one way that may work."

Devon raised an eyebrow then Rose kissed him lovingly. Devon put a hand on Rose's waist while she put a hand on his chest. The young couple began making out slowly yet lovingly but stopped when Holly shouted over the gate,"Hey love birds! Mind letting me in?!"

Rose pulled away and rested her head on Devon's while Devon said,"Why does she always appear at the most inopportune times?"

Rose chuckled then she kissed Devon once more before they both stood up and went inside, Devon limping ever so slightly.

The two entered the house and opened the door for Holly. The trio sat down, Devon and Rose sitting next to one another and Rose laying her head on Devon's shoulder, then Holly said,"Okay so, you guys mind explaining this whole thing to me?"

"What thing?"Rose asked.

"The whole you having armor that appears on you and fighting a skeleton thing that I saw last week."

Devon looked at Rose with a raised eyebrow and Rose sheepishly said,"I may have transformed in front of your sister to fight the hippo demon and then she saw Voria transform into her Gluttony form."

Devon nodded, then he looked at Holly and said,"The short answer is that Rose was sacrificed to Hell 3,000 years ago and came back to defeat those who sacrificed her. The people who sacrificed her are famous people in our time while also being the ones possessed by the seven deadly sins."

Holly's eyes widened and she looked at Rose,"You're three thousand years old?!"

"Actually I was sacrificed when I was about the same age as Devon and I didn't really age through those years of being tortured in Hell.",Rose said.

"So you're 25 like me.",Devon said.

"That's right."

"My brother's girlfriend is 3,025 years old. I mean I knew you could only attract older women but damn."Holly joked while sitting back in her seat.

"Holly!",Devon said, offended slightly.

"You know I'm right."

"Anyway, a little bit after I met Rose I was saved and possessed by an angel and can now become a warrior named Crusiad.",Devon explained.

"Crusiad?",Holly questioned.

Devon sighed then Rose made him stand up and she whispered into his ear. Devon looked at Rose, who smiled at him and gave him thumbs up, before he sighed and said,"Henshin." while pressing the jewel on his brace. Devon changed into Crusiad and Holly let out a shocked gasp, before exclaiming,"My brother I'd a monster?!"

"What, no! I'm like Rose and this is armor.",Crusiad said.

"Well it makes you look like a monster.",Holly replied.

Crusiad groaned in frustration then he looked at Rose, who looked at him then said,"You do look a bit like a monster."

Crusiad went to the restroom and looked in the mirror. Rose and Holly then hear Crusiad let out a surprised shout and he reentered the room saying,"Rose, why didn't you ever tell me that my helmet looked like this?!"

"I thought you knew.",Rose said.

"I can't see my own face and I just recently was able to control this form. How would I know how I look?"

Rose scratched the back of her neck nervously then she stood up and walked into the kitchen. Crusiad reverted into Devon and he followed Rose while asking her the same question. Holly sat back and tried to fathom what she had just seen then she heard a knock at the door and went to it. She opened the door to see a mailman standing there with a letter for Devon. Holly accepted both the letter and package then she closed the door and said,"Devon, you got some mail. Looks all fancy and stuff,"

Holly turned to the kitchen to see Devon and Rose making out. She cleared her throat causing Devon and Rose to stop and look at her. Holly lifted the letter into Devon's view and Devon nodded before going over to Holly. Rose bit her lip before following Devon as he went to the table and opened the letter. Devon read the letter while Rose looked at it, eventually asking,"What's that parchment say?"

"You mean the letter?",Devon questioned.

"There's lots of letters on it but what does the parchment say?",Rose said.

"No, a letter is a written form of communication that can be typed or printed. It's commonly sent via the mail or by a messenger."

Rose gained a look of realization while nodding. Holly looked at Rose,"You know, you being 3,000 years old would explain why you don't know about some basic things."

"The letter is an invitation to some party downtown. It's for Rose and I.",Devon said.

"Who'd invite you guys to a party?",Holly asked.

"Someone named Adonis."

Rose's eyes widened then she said,"Adonis, that's one of my old teammates."

Devon and Holly looked at Rose with concern then Devon said,"Which means that he's a deadly sin and that he could be leading us into a trap."

"He's not leading us into a trap, Adonis isn't one for traps or trickery. Finds it beneath him along with everyone and everything he doesn't like."Rose explained while balling her hand into a fist.

"So with how he sounds, would that make him the sin of Pride?",Holly said.

"Yes. Adonis Argarant is the sin of Pride.",the angel said in Devon's mind.

"The angel confirmed that Adonis is Pride.",Devon said. The trio stayed in silence momentarily then Rose said in a determined tone,"We're going."

"We are?",Devon questioned.

"Yes, if Adonis wants me to come to him then it gives us an opportunity to take him down."

"Yeah but what about all the people there who aren't demons. We can't fight him with them around."

Rose groaned in frustration then she perked when she heard Devon say,"But we shouldn't pass on an opportunity to get close to this guy."

Rose smiled then she kissed Devon his cheek and he smirked. Holly popped up between the two happily saying,"So does this mean that I get to makeover you guys again?"

"Him, no. Me, probably.",Rose said. Holly fist pumped,"When is that party brother?"

"Tonight at 8:00.",Devon answered.

"That gives me ten and a half hours to work my magic. Good, to the bathroom!",Holly said while grabbing Rose by the wrist and dragging her to the bathroom.

Later on that evening, Devon and Rose had driven to a hotel downtown and were entering into the room where a massive party was being held. Devon currently had his hair and beard freshly groomed and he currently wore a black button up long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and multicolored high top sneakers. Rose currently wore a long sleeve black dress that stopped at half her thigh and toeless heeled boots that stopped just above her ankles. Rose's hair was also done in the lovely wavy lob style and he had on some makeup which gave her a smokey eye look.

Devon and Rose stood at the entrance looking around, then Devon said,"This is a very extravagant party."

"Well he is the sin of Pride and Adonis was never one for being subtle.",Rose said. Devon shrugged in understanding then he put an arm around Rose's waist and the two walked further into the party, doing their best to keep a low profile.

Eventually, Devon and Rose were stopped by Adonis, who was currently wearing a three piece suit that was dark red in color with a gold button up, black tie and black dress shoes. Adonis smiled saying,"Ah look who it is; Rose and her friend. Glad you both could make it here tonight."

"You're happy that we came to a party?",Devon questioned.

"Yes I am, lad. Just because we're on different sides of this conflict doesn't mean we can't bask in my brilliance together.",Adonis said before sipping some champagne.

"It does when you're one of the asshats that sent me to Hell.",Rose said while scowling at Adonis. Adonis chuckled,"I can understand that being a point of contention for you, Rose. Trust me though, I am simply wanting you and the lad to have a good time. Join the festivities."

"Well at least your sense of partying hasn't changed, along with your taste in admiring yourself."

"What can I say? I am the greatest that has ever been born and everyone should bask in the fact that they're around me. Although, there is one person here I think you wouldn't take too kindly to, Rose."

"And who would that be?",Rose asked, still having an angered expression.

Adonis looked around then he pointed towards a group of men that were arm wrestling someone. One of the men moved out of the way to reveal Balrog being the one they were arm wrestling with, Balrog currently having her hair in a wavy style and was going down to her lower back. She currently wore a black suit jacket with a white button up that she kept unbuttoned on the collar and first button, black suit pants that were flared on the cuffs and black wedge heels.

Rose's eyes widened and she gasped at the sight of Balrog, which Devon took notice of before seeing Balrog. He looked at Adonis and said,"Why is she here?"

"Well she is a friend of mine plus if you knew her as well as Rose and I do, then you'd realize that she only goes to these things when there's something in it for her.",Adonis explained with a hint of smugness. Devon glared at Adonis then he looked at Rose, seeing a fearful yet angry expression on her face as Balrog saw and began to approach her and Devon. Adonis stepped away while Balrog stepped up saying,"Well well well, if it isn't Rosebud and the holy buzzkill. Strange to see you both here."

"Don't call me that."Rose said, her voice trembling.

"What's wrong Rosebud? Don't like the nickname I gave you? Hey buzzkill, did she tell you about how me and her used to go on crazy missions for days on end.",Balrog said with an almost evil grin. Devon noticed this then he glanced at Rose, seeing her begin to tremble and her hands clenched into fists.

"No she hasn't.",Devon said with suspicion.

"Oh really, now come on Rosebud. You shouldn't keep secrets from your friends, especially one who decided to take you in. I mean, I can kinda understand considering how she's embarrassed by some of our more private moments together.",Balrog said, playfully elbowing Devon in the side. Rose gritted her teeth then she quickly walked out of the party.

Devon went after Rose but he was stopped by Balrog, who grabbed his arm as he was almost past her. Devon looked over his shoulder as Balrog said with sinister elation,"Don't worry about Rosebud, buzzkill; Soon I'll take her off your hands and you can go back to being whatever worthless human you were before having met her."

Devon scowled at Balrog then he said,"You're not going anywhere near Rose. Not as long as I am alive."

"I can always make your death wish come true. Even right now.",Balrog said, turning her head to Devon with her eyes being fiery orange. Devon's eyes changed to being light blue but then they began to gain an orange hue on them. This took Balrog by surprise and she let go of Devon, who immediately left her to go be with Rose.

Balrog continued to stare at Devon as he left the room, then she looked at her hand while saying with a stunned tone,"Did I just see what I think I saw?"

Outside the hotel, Devon ran outside and looked around for Rose before he noticed she was sitting on a bench in a gazebo. He walked to where she was and once close, he heard her crying. Devon walked so he was now next to her and he said in a caring tone,"Rose?"

Rose sniffles while also wiping tears from her eyes,"Sorry, I shouldn't have stormed out like that."

"It's okay, it's not my party plus I don't know anyone in there.",Devon joked, trying to alleviate the tension. Rose giggled while still wiping tears from her face. Devon sat next to Rose and the two sat in a comfortable silence for sometime until Devon asked,"What did Balrog mean by your private moments together?"

Rose stayed silent gripping the bench then she said in a shaky voice,"She's talking about how she, how she um… She's talking about how she and I were alone a few times and things happened."

Devon's eyes widened,"Oh, okay then. I never would've thought you were also into girls."

"I'm not. Balrog forced herself upon me and back then I couldn't do anything to stop her. I had just started my training and she was older and stronger than me.",Rose said with her head hung low and her voice becoming shaky. Devon also noticed when Rose managed to dent the bench with how hard she was gripping it.

"I didn't want those times to happen. I never did, but I was too weak to do anything. Of all of my former comrades, Balrog is the one I hate the most.",Rose said, beginning to cry at the end of her sentence. Devon looked at Rose with concern and shock then he moved her closer to him so he could embrace her. Rose hugged Devon and cried into the crook of his neck.

Eventually, Rose stopped crying and she looked Devon in his eyes before he said,"It's okay to cry. I'm here for you."

Rose just stared at Devon before she kissed him lovingly. Unbeknownst to the two, Balrog came out of the hotel and saw them kissing. Her anger grew and then she said,"Alright buzzkill, seems I have to deal with you before I get to Rosebud."

Back with Devon and Rose, the two pulled away from one another but their faces stayed close. Rose looked into Devon's eyes then she said in a low but lovingly tone,"Devon, can you help me to take back something from Balrog?"

"Sure, what is it?",Devon replied. Rose nodded then she stood up with Devon and held his hand. The young couple then began walking to their car, holding hands and talking to one another.
