At Devon's house, Rose walked into the living room wearing the shirt Devon wore to Adonis' party with being oversized on her. She yawned while stretching and rubbing her eye before she saw Devon making coffee, wearing his uniform for work. Rose walked over to Devon and he turned to her saying,"Morning Rose. I made you some coffee before I went to work."

"Thanks. So you have to work today?",Rose asked with a slightly saddened tone. Devon nodded,"Yeah, I get off at 7:00 so I should be heading to the bus now."

Rose nodded then she kissed Devon goodbye and he left to go to work. Rose looked saddened briefly then she smelled Devon's shirt and smiled softly. She then thought back to the night before and her smile grew before she walked to the bathroom to freshen up.

After taking a shower, brushing her teeth and changing, Rose was now outside in the backyard doing push-ups on the patio. She currently wore a black pullover hoodie over a black tank top and a pair of red athletic shorts. Rose stopped doing her pushups and she sat up looking at the sky. She sighed then said,"Never thought I'd have this feeling, especially when I am in such an unbelievable situation."

Rose then looked at her hands as electricity began sparking around her fingers. She smirked and said,"It's good that I know how to adapt when fighting."

Rose stood up and her belt appeared on her waist with her crystal now being pale gold instead of red. She then said,"Henshin."

Rose changed into Drow, her armor now being pale gold in color and her visor now being light red . The horns on her helmet now facing backwards instead of upwards but remained in the same place as the flame form.

"FIGHT WITH SWIFT STRIKES! DROW: LIGHTNING FORM!"

Drow looked at her new armor and she ooh'd and awe'd before cracking her knuckles. She readied herself before taking off her scarf, causing the scarf to turn into a pair of kunai that had pale gold blades with a black edge, and black hilts. Drow looked at her kunai then she said,"What are these things? Some kind of knife?"

Drow slashed with the kunai, being adept at using them, then she stopped and said,"Eh, not what I'm used to but these will do."

Drow had her kunai changed back into her scarf then she looked around the yard and said,"Now to test my speed."

At Devon's job, he was in the store's warehouse setting up a palette to be taken out and stocked when the angel appeared in front of him. Devon jumped slightly then he said,"Would you quit just appearing out of nowhere?!"

"Considering I am inside your head and have no corporeal form, no.",the angel responded in a snippy fashion. Devon sighed in frustration,"Well you don't show up for nothing so what is it?"

"I am here to tell you something I'm sure you've noticed by now.",The angel said.

"And that would be?"

"That you're growing in strength, rapidly."

Devon raised an eyebrow,"That's it? I'm growing stronger is the reason you decided to appear?"

"Yes, because you're not supposed to be growing in strength the way you are."

"What do you mean?"

"In the last few weeks since your first transformation into Crusiad and the defeat of Gluttony and Sloth; you've been growing in power to the point where now you don't even need to transform in order to use the strength, durability or speed of Crusiad."

"Isn't that a good thing though? I mean the stronger I get, the better chance I have to beat the sins with Rose."

"While that may be true, your growth in strength should be coming from years of battle and training. Instead you are somehow gaining more power through means of which I cannot pinpoint."

Devon gained a worried expression,"So will something bad happen if I continue to grow in power?"

"That's just it. I do not know what will happen to you if this continues, no other wielded of Crusiad has had this happen.",the angel said while putting a hand on his chin. Devon gulped nervously then he looked at his hands, thinking about Rose and his family.

Hours later at Devon's house, Rose was in the living room practicing reading when Devon came into the house. Rose immediately put down the book she was looking at and ran up to Devon, hugging him tightly and surprising him. Devon hugged Rose back and was about to speak but Rose then kissed him passionately. The two kissed for some moments then Rose pulled away, saying,"Sorry, I just missed you. A lot."

"I can tell and you don't need to be sorry. Uh, I assume you had a good day while I was gone?",Devon said, trying to collect himself.

Rose nodded with a smile,"Yep, I trained with my new form in the backyard and know how to use it."

"You trained with a new form?",Devon questioned. Rose nodded then she took his hand and led him to the backyard. Devon expected to see his backyard destroyed but he was pleasantly surprised to see that his backyard was okay. He sighed in relief as Rose said,"Look, I didn't destroy your porch or backyard."

"Thank God.",Devon said with immense relief.

"This is actually a case where it's okay for you to say that.",the angel commented in Devon's head.

Rose chuckled then she shocked herself and she winced, causing Devon to look at her with confusion. Rose met Devon's gaze then she said,"I've been shocking myself at random times throughout the day. Mainly when on that fluffy floor you have."

"You mean the carpet?"Devon asked.

"Yes that. Every time I step on it, I've been shocked at least once. Though it feels very nice on my feet.",Rose said.

"Not too surprising considering that carpet can generate static electricity when you rub your socks on it. Though you don't really wear anything on your feet so I guess it's because of your lightning form."

Rose looked confused by this but she brushed it aside and went back inside with Devon. The two walked over to the kitchen with Rose saying,"How was your day?"

"It was okay. Nothing too special happened at work besides the angel appearing again.",Devon answered. Rose gained a concerned look then said,"The angel appeared? What did he say to you?"

"Oh nothing much besides that I'm getting stronger faster than I should be.",Devon said somewhat dismissively.

"Is that a good thing?",Rose asked.

"He doesn't know and that worries him a bit.",Devon said rather nonchalantly. He then noticed the look of worry on Rose's face and he said,"Rose, I'm fine."

"Are you sure? If your powers are hurting you or something then I will find a way to get that damn brace off.",Rose said in a tone which showed her affection and worry. Devon put his hands on Rose's shoulders then said gently,"Rose, I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me."

"You say that but, with what I just heard it sounds like I should.",Rose said. She was then interrupted by Devon planting a soft kiss to her lips. Rose melted into the kiss then Devon pulled away before saying in a low tone,"I'll be okay."

Rose stayed silent, biting her lip and looking into Devon's eyes before saying in a low tone,"It's going to take more than a kiss to reassure me."

"I think I can give more.",Devon said, inching his face closer to Rose's. The two kissed once more and Rose put her arms and legs around Devon as he picked her up and placed her on the counter. The two kissed for many moments, only stopping so Devon could discard his shirt. Rose got off the counter and took Devon by the hand before she led him to his bedroom.

At an MMA gym, Balrog was in the gym punching a punching bag, in her usual attire and with hair being braided once more. She punched the bag three more times then she stopped and began to think about her interaction with Devon.

"He couldn't possess it, there's no way. But his eyes showed it.",Balrog said with anger and intrigue. Balrog crossed her arms, still contemplating her interaction with Devon, then she heard the door open and turned around to see Adonis and Hezekiah standing there. She rolled her eyes saying rudely,"What do you assholes want?"

"Oh so crass, you're never gonna make friends like that, lass. Especially with Rose, although she seems to have gained a much better one from what I saw.",Adonis said. Balrog scowled at Adonis then she said menacingly,"Wanna repeat that Adonis?"

"Alright, stop it both of you. Seriously, we're all over 3,000 years old yet you two bicker and whine as if you're children."Hezekiah said in an annoyed tone. Balrog scoffed while Adonis shrugged nonchalantly.

"Why are you two here? I imagine it has something to do with Cleo wanting me to behave.",Balrog asked, mockingly mimicking Cleo's accent at the end.

"We're here to tell you that I've been assigned to deal with Rose for the time being.",Adonis said smugly.

"Okay, good for you. Maybe she'll hit you so hard the bubble known as your ego will burst.",Balrog said.

"One can hope." Hezekiah commented. "Anyway, we also came here to ask what happened with you and Rose's friend at Adonis' party?"

"What do you mean?",Balrog questioned.

"He means what did you two talk about? I saw that you grabbed him when he was going after Rose when she walked out.",Adonis said with a smug grin, infuriating Balrog.

"Nothing much, I just told him that I'd be taking Rose off his hands soon.",Balrog said. Hezekiah and Adonis raised their eyebrows. Balrog smirked arrogantly,"You both heard me correctly. Don't worry, I'll let Adonis do his thing. But, I'm going to meet with her friend again."

"And why would you do that, lass?",Adonis asked, genuinely confused. Balrog smirked and didn't answer the man, only going back to hitting the punching bag in front of her.

That night at Devon's home, Rose and Devon were sleeping in Devon's bed with their clothes strewn around the floor while they were under the covers. Rose had her arms around Devon and her head on his chest while Devon had an arm around Rose. Devon's phone began to ring and slowly awoke to see who's number it was and he raised an eyebrow then answered it drowsily,"Who is this?"

The person on the other line hung up the phone and Devon scoffed before saying,"Stupid prank callers."

Rose awoke, looking at Devon and drowsily asking,"What's wrong Dev?"

"Nothing, just someone called me by accident,"Devon responded. Rose nodded, then she moved up and rested into the crook of Devon's neck before saying drowsily but lovingly,"Goodnight."

"Goodnight.",Devon responded as he and Rose drifted off to sleep in each other's embrace.
