Currently, Rose and Devon were running against a crowd that was running the opposite direction. The two two made it to the end of the crowd to see a demon that was a humanoid German Shephard in pale gold armor attacking people. Rose and Devon readied themselves then said,"Henshin." before charging towards the dog demon.
Drow, in flame form, and Crusiad charged at the demon and began fighting it. Crusiad dodged several attacks then he punched the demon twice before roundhouse kicking it. Drow summoned her Scythe and slashed the demon in the back once then had to block several punches that sent her backwards into a stop sign. Crusiad kicked the Dog Demon in the face then he became angered and hit it relentlessly. Drow shook her head then she looked at Crusiad, beginning to see orange electricity beginning to come off of his punches.
Crusiad punched the dog demon in the face once more then he stopped and stumbled back as orange electricity began to spark around him. The dog demon took this opportunity to slash Crusiad several times with its claws until it was slashed across the back by Drow. Drow went over to Crusiad saying with concern,"Devon, what's wrong?"
"I don't know.",Crusiad said in a pained voice. He then let out a pained shout as he fell to his knees and reverted into Devon. Drow gasped then she blocked a slash from the Dog demon then she pushed it off and slashed it across the chest. Drow looked at Devon then she turned her attention to the demon and said,"Guess now's a good time to test lightning form."
"FIGHT WITH SWIFT STRIKES! DROW: LIGHTNING FORM!"
Drow turned to her Lightning form and her scythe turned into the daggers. She readied herself then sped over to the demon and slashed several times at lightning speeds. Drow then dropkicked the demon in the chest before flipping to her feet before roundhouse kicking it in the face.
The dog demon stumbled back then roared but it then looked behind it. The demon then ran off, leaping onto a car's roof before scaling a building. Drow relaxed herself then she reverted into Rose before running over to Devon and kneeling down next to him.
"Devon.",Rose said with concern.
Devon looked at Rose then he said he was fine while breathing heavily. He then winced as he tried to stand. Rose helped Devon stand up then she and him began making their way home, with Rose helping Devon walk.
Unbeknownst to the two, Balrog was watching them from the driver seat of a navy blue muscle car. She stared as Rose and Devon left, her gaze showing contemplation and malice. Balrog then took her eyes off of Rose and Devon when she heard a knock on her passenger side window, looking at the window to see Jacoby standing there. Balrog sighed then she rolled down the window and Jacoby said,"Hey Balrog, how's it going?"
"What do you want Jacoby?",Balrog replied with her usual frustrated tone.
"Well you're just a ray of sunshine as per usual."Jacoby commented. "I was just in the area, saw your car and thought I'd come say hi."
"Well hi, now go away I'm busy.",Balrog said.
"Busy creepily watching Rose and her friend leave a fight?",Jacoby questioned. Balrog scowled at Jacoby and he put his hands up saying,"Okay, I'll leave. Hope your stalking goes well."
Jacoby then walked away from Balrog's car, whistling as he did so. Balrog stared at Jacoby then she said,"He's up to something. Don't know what it is but I can tell."
At Devon's home, Rose and Devon entered the front door and Rose helped Devon sit on the couch before she moved her hair away from her face. Devon thanked Rose then said,"What about the demon?"
"It ran away when I was fighting it.",Rose said while moving some hair away from her face.
"What?! We have to find it and,"Devon said before he grunted and grabbed his chest. Rose got to her knees and she gained a worried expression while saying,"What's wrong?!"
"My chest, it feels like it's on fire."Devon grunted. Rose moved Devon's hand then she ripped his shirt open and she gasped at the sight. On Devon's chest was a mark that looked like a stone which had an orange crack in it. Devon looked at his chest then said,"What the hell is this?"
Rose put a finger to the mark then she pulled it back when the orange portion of the mark began to glow. The angel appeared behind Rose and he said,"How strange."
Rose looked at the angel then said,"Where did you come from?"
The angel looked at Rose and said,"You can see me?"
"Yeah, that isn't important. Do you know what's happening to Devon?",Rose said, her worry being evident on her face.
"I'm afraid I do not know for certain, however that mark on his chest gives me an idea.",The angel said.
Rose stood up, turned to the angel,"What's the idea?!"
"I think that mark represents an evolution in Devon. It could also explain the orange electricity that came off of his attacks earlier.",the angel explained. Devon thought back to his earlier fight then he gritted his teeth as pain began to come from the mark on his chest. Rose knelt down and held Devon's hand, her face having only worry on it.
"What can I do to help him?",Rose asked.
"There's nothing you can do for him. Devon's power is growing and it can't be stopped."
Rose turned to the angel and said to him in a saddened and angry voice,"I can't have him in pain like this and you better figure something out!"
Rose then turned back to Devon and stroked his hair as he panted for air. The angel was taken aback by Rose's outburst then he disappeared. Rose had her attention focused on Devon as he began drifting into sleep.
"Rose, I'm gonna be fine.",Devon said drowsily. He then fell asleep and Rose smiled briefly before kissing Devon on the forehead. Rose then stood up and she left the house with an angered look on her face.
At an office building, Adonis sat in a large office with many expensive trinkets and furniture in the office. He concluded a call then he said,"And I once again closed a deal."
Adonis then heard some shambling coming from outside and he gained an inquisitive expression while standing to his feet. He was then shocked when the Dog demon stumbled into his office missing an arm, having many cuts on its body, and even having a chunk of its abdomen gone. The dog demon flopped to the ground in front of Adonis and he moved to it as it turned to ash. Adonis had an angered look come onto his face.
In the city, Rose walked down a sidewalk, her anger prevalent on her face. She then began to sense a demon approaching her fast and she looked around before she, many civilians, and several objects were blasted away in all directions as something landed in front of Rose. Rose changed into Drow in her flame form as she flew backwards, skidding back once she was able to put her feet on the ground. Drow regained her balance then she looked forward as the dust cloud dissipated, showing her Adonis in his demon form.
Adonis was now approximately 7ft in height and he had also become incredibly muscular. He currently wore only the pants and shoes he'd usually have on except now they looked more like armor. Adonis' torso was naked for the most part save for a pair of golden gauntlets that had a draconian appearance to them. On Adonis' head was now a gold crown that had red, violet, and blue jewels in it and he now had a mustache that curled on the ends and was brown.
"Oh, shit."Drow said while taking off her scarf, changing it into her scythe.
"I was originally going to try and kill you with a demon of mine so I wouldn't have to sully my own hands. But seeing as you decided to savagely kill what is mine without my permission, I'll just have to deal with you myself.",Adonis said in a much deeper voice and with a more regal tone.
"Don't know what you're talking about but you saved me the trouble of finding you.",Drow said while brandishing her scythe. She then looked up at the sky as storm clouds began to form then she looked back towards Adonis to see him stretching his hand into the air. Bolts of golden lightning struck Adonis' hand then formed into a war hammer that was primarily gold with a black grip that had hints of red in it.
"Oh lass, you don't know how much trouble you've found.",Adonis said while readying his hammer and having lightning strike around him.
