Drow and Crusiad were continuing to fight Adonis. Crusiad punched and kicked Adonis in the side then he flipped backwards to avoid being hit by Adonis. Adonis swung his hammer at Crusiad several times, all that were dodged, then he was kneed in the chin by Crusiad. Adonis stumbled back then he punched Crusiad in the gut, sending him into the pavement.

Drow used her lightning speed to slash Adonis on his back. She then sped around Adonis, slashing him whenever she could. Adonis grinned then he sent a blast of lightning towards Drow, hitting her in the side. Drow tumbled into a fire hydrant and she looked at it before looking at Adonis. Adonis raised his hammer but Crusiad got on his back and began choking him, much to Adonis' annoyance.

Drow took this opportunity to stand up and slice off the front of the fire hydrant, sending a torrent of rushing water at Adonis. The torrent hit Adonis and he slid backwards, cracking the pavement as he did so. Crusiad gave Drow a thumbs up then theh both ran at Adonis, who threw his hammer to plug up the hydrant successfully.

Adonis shook his head and wiped some water out of his eyes and he saw Drow and Crusiad closing in on him. He blocked two slashes from Drow then threw a punch at her but it was swiftly dodged. Crusiad jumped up and kicked Adonis in the head twice before he was punched out of the air, landing on his feet. Drow slashed Adonis on his torso seven times before she had run away from an attack. Crusiad charged at Adonis and vaulted over a punch before dropkicking Adonis in his face. Drow took the opportunity to deliver a flurry of high speed slashes to Adonis' abdomen then she switched to Force form and hit him with her hammer, sending Adonis back some feet.

Crusiad and Drow continued to attack Adonis in tandem, both taking as many hits as they gave, until the simultaneously kicked Adonis in his gut. The kicks made Adonis stumble back then fall to one knee. He coughed for a bit then he continued that some blood came from his mouth and was now on the street. Adonis became infuriated and as Drow and Crusiad made their way towards him, he put his hand to the air then slammed into the ground while shouting enraged,"ENOUGH!"

This caused a massive lightning bolt to come down and strike where Adonis hit the ground, causing an explosion that sent both Drow and Crusiad back as well as a lot of infrastructure, cars et cetera.

Once the smoke cleared, Adonis now stood in the middle of a large crater with Devon not too far from him. Devon's clothes now had rips and tears in them and he had many bruises, scratches and even burns on his torso, arms, and legs while also having his nose bleed. Rose, who now had even more injuries and who's clothes now had rips and tears in them, was on the ground coughing in pain then she looked at Adonis as he stared at her.

Adonis then looked at Devon before he said,"Wait right there Rose. I need to have a conversation with the boy."

"Stay away from him.",Rose said while trying to get up but only managing to get to one knee. Adonis walked over to Devon, who looked up at him and gritted his teeth while trying to sit up. Adonis looked down on Devon then he said,"I want you to know something boy, what I am about to do to you is not personal to you."

"Should I be excited or something?",Devon questioned with a sarcastic tone.

Adonis smirked,"Heh, I like your spunk boy. Shame that it'll be extinguished in a moment."

Adonis then picked Devon up by the collar of his shirt and he turned to Rose, who had managed to stand up now. Rose gained a worried expression and she began limping towards the two.

"Rose. I commend you, you're the first person in the last three millennia to actually make me bleed and who has made me acknowledge their strength.",Adonis began to say with his tone being calmer than it previously was. "But that is also the reason why I can't let you leave this battle. I would just kill you and be done with it but I must bring you true pain before that so I'm afraid the lad must die first."

"Adonis stop! I'm the one you want, let Devon go.",Rose said with great concern, stopping in her tracks.

"While that may be true, I want you to know true despair and misery. Figure the best way to do that is to kill this lad and once I see you have gained both of those emotions, I shall kill you."Adonis said with an evilly sly grin. He then made another hammer out of lightning and he prepared to hit Devon with it. Devon tried to get out of Adonis' grip but was unable to no matter how much he struggled.

Rose saw Adonis readying his hammer and she began pleading with Adonis. After a moment, Rose could hear nothing but her heart beat and the sound of flames while her eyes turned crimson with black sclera. Rose then let out an angered roar and rocketed towards Adonis while shouting,"I SAID LET HIM GO!"

Rose punched Adonis in the face, her fist being covered in black and crimson flames, and the punch made Adonis let go of Devon but it also sent him flying backwards many miles away from Rose and Devon. Rose and Devon fell to the ground and Devon groaned while slowly sitting up. He moved over to Rose and said,"Rose. Rose, are you with me?"

Rose nodded, then she sat up and looked at her hands with fear while saying,"What was that?"

Devon breathed in and out while saying,"Don't know, but it saved me."

Devon then began to feel a massive spike of pain in his chest and he grabbed it while gritting his teeth and falling to his side. Rose immediately went to Devon's side but then she passed out on top of him. Devon looked at Rose then he fell unconscious as he heard sirens nearing the scene.

In the conference room, everyone present had astonished expressions on their faces. The entire room was silent and no one could believe what they saw Rose do. Eventually, Hezekiah broke the silence by saying,"Rose conjured a black flame."

"How? That shouldn't be at all possible.",Voria said fearfully. The room fell silent once again, with all who were present not knowing what to do.0

In a field near the outskirts of the city, Adonis was in a crater of dirt and he was unconscious and back in his human form. He then awoke, sat up and said,"That girl had black flames on her fist?! When the hell could she do that?!"

"It is a mystery ain't it.",Adonis heard from behind him, turning around to see Jacoby looking at him from the top of the crater. "Rose's powers, they're oh so mysterious aren't they."

"What are you ramblin on about boy?",Adonis questioned.

Jacoby chuckled then he said,"Nothin much, just had a thought pass in my head. You want some help out of there?"

Adonis looked around then he made his way out of the crater while saying,"I am fine Jacoby. I just need to make a call to my chauffeur so he can come pick me up."

"I can give you a ride if you want. I mean I was already on my way back to the city when I saw you crash land.",Jacoby said while pointing to a moped that was parked on the street. Adonis looked at the moped with disgust then said,"No thanks lad. I'll be fine."

"Look I know it's not luxurious but it gets me where I need to. I mean yeah we can teleport but where's the fun in that."Jacoby said. Adonis turned down Jacoby's offer and walked towards the street while taking out his phone. Jacoby smirked, then he pulled out the green crystal and looked at it with an evil smirk as an image of Adonis' demon form came over it briefly.

At a hospital, Rose stirred in her sleep then she awoke and looked around frantically while saying,"Where am I?"

Rose then sat up and she winced from doing so. She then noticed that her right bicep, left forearm, abdomen, and lower legs were wrapped in bandages. Rose also noticed that she had an iv hooked into her along with an oxygen tank.

Rose was confused by all this and took the oxygen tube out of her nose, causing her to sneeze and inadvertently hurt herself. Holly then came into the room and she smiled while saying,"Rose." with a smile.

Holly hugged Rose then pulled away and said,"I'm so glad you're alright."

"Holly, where am I? Where's Devon?",Rose asked with some apprehension.

"Rose, calm down. You're in a hospital, this is a place where people come when they're sick and injured really badly. Devon is fine and he's out in the waiting room.",Holly explained calmly. Rose nodded, calming down slightly, then she watched as Holly left and Devon entered. Rose smiled with relief then Devon walked up to her and hugged her, with Rose hugging him back. Devon pulled away then said,"You feeling okay?"

"About as okay as being in a weird place and having many injuries."Rose responded.

Devon chuckled then he said,"Yeah, I should've guessed that. Unlike me, your wounds were deeper."

"Well I did get tossed around a lot by Adonis.",Rose commented.

"So did I but let's not have a contest on who's worse off with being beaten up.",Devon said. Rose and Devon stayed in a comfortable silence for a moment then Devon asked,"So, what was that back there?"

"What was what?",Rose questioned.

"The whole black fire punch you hit Adonis with. What was it?",Devon asked. Rose remembered the punch then she said,"I don't know. I just couldn't let you get killed and then it happened."

Devon sighed with worry then he said,"We'll figure that out once you're healed up until then, rest and I'll go tell the doctor you're awake."

Rose nodded then Devon turned to leave but Rose held him by his wrist and he looked at her. Rose then kissed Devon on his lips before saying,"I love you."

"I love you too.",Devon said with a loving smile. He and Rose then kissed once more then Devon left the room to speak with the doctor. Rose smiled, pushing some of her hair away from her face, then she looked at her hands as they began to shake. Rose's face looked worried then she closed her hands into fists to try and stop them.
