The Hatake compound- more like the Hatake house because it's actually one house with acres and acres of backyard and part of the Nara forest- was, Sakura thought, too big for Kakashi alone to be living in. Of course, that and the fact that his own father took his own life there was the reason why Kakashi decides to abandon it in the first place.
Taking a deep breath, Sakura watched as Kakashi unlocked the front door and unarm the protection seals around the compound. The door slides open and Kakashi stood still, seeing the insides of the house remains the same as what he remembers. Sakura put her hand on Kakashi's shoulder and smiled as she managed to nudge Kakashi to enter the house.
Kakashi looks around the house as Sakura diligently follows slightly behind him, being completely silent to not overwhelm Kakashi seeing his house again after over thirty years of keeping out of the compound. The first thing Kakashi put his eyes on is the short tanto that his father owned and used, the one that he wielded when he gained his moniker, The White Fang of Konoha. He touched the tanto and picked it up, examining it and sheathing it back again after he finished. He then walked to his father's room, the one room he really didn't want to go in ever again, but you have to, Kakashi, the scrolls are in there!
Sakura was going through his kitchen, trying to find the equipment to make tea. Kakashi gathers all of his courage and opens the door to the room, quickly finding two scrolls among all the other things, and sealed it back again. He moves closer to the kitchen and calls out, "Sakura-chan, it's better to do the chakra ritual as soon as possible, and I have another scroll for you here."
She was just finishing up setting the dining table and sets up two cups of green tea as Kakashi throws a scroll at her that she gracefully catch. "You know, Kakashi, the things in your house are important one way or another, don't throw them around carelessly-" She saw the writings at the scroll and she splutters, "Kakashi! This is your father's summoning scroll!"
Kakashi shrugged and answered, "Yeah, but he's not here anymore, I don't use that one, and it'll be good for you to have them instead, no?"
The scroll was indeed, Sakumo's old summons, the wolf pack that dutifully accompanied him on the second shinobi world war. Sakura thought that she would get a pack of dogs, because that's what Kakashi summons, but noooooo, it turns out that Kakashi didn't want to share his dad's summoning scroll and decided on the dog summons instead. Well, they're both canines I guess, right? Sakura thought and shrugged as she follows Kakashi to the backyard.
"Are you ready, Sakura? The induction to the Hatake clan kind of works like the summoning ritual, but it can only be done here in the compound, since it has been owned by the Hatake clan since Konoha's founding. I read about them once or twice before and I'm pretty sure I can do it, but yeah, since I'm the only one left of the Hatake clan, and the fact that I don't marry and don't plan to, you'll be the first one to do this ritual." Kakashi said to Sakura.
"First off, you'll need to sign that summoning scroll, I think having the wolf pack present would make it easier." Sakura nods and opens the summoning scroll, biting her pointer finger and signs it as Hatake Sakura.
Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram, Kuchiose no Jutsu!
Sakura smacked the ground after she finished the hand sign and plume of smoke appears. A black wolf about Kakashi's height after the smoke dissipates. Kakashi immediately recognizes the canine and identifies him as Yoshiro, his father's loyal companion. "Yoshiro-sama," Kakashi nods at the canine.
Yoshiro's ear twitches and he sets his eyes on the silver haired-nin. "Kakashi-chan, it has been a long while." He pauses, "Indeed it has, but it seems like the ones who summoned me is not you, who is the one to summon me?"
Kakashi gestures for Sakura to step forward, she addresses the great wolf, "I was the one who signed the scroll, Yoshiro-sama. My name is Sakura, formerly Haruno Sakura. Under some circumstances, it was deemed necessary for me to take on the Hatake name."
Yoshiro nods slightly and steps closer to Sakura. He sniffs a couple of times and did the same to Kakashi, and sat back down right in front of her, "Ah, the two of you time travelled here, no? It makes sense now why the pup has smelled different, he smelled older than his age, and so does you. The both of you smelled of war, of sadness and of perseverance. There has been not a single soul to summon the wolves since the unfortunate passing of Sakumo, it would be an honor to aide the both of you in this journey."
"Thank you, Yoshiro-sama." Sakura bows slightly to the wolf as Kakashi continues for her, "Thank you, Yoshiro-sama, I was planning to do the properly induct Sakura into the clan, and for that we would need your help, I think. I have never done this before, you see."
Yoshiro's tail brushed the ground a couple of times and he replied, "Indeed, you would need our kin's help to be properly inducted, you were correct in signing the scroll first before doing the ritual, for have you tried doing the ritual first, the white chakra would reject you and take a big portion of chakra instead and might probably kill you." Sakura tensed slightly and sent a quick glare towards the silver boy. "Fear not, I shall guide you through the ritual. Sakura, you would be able to summon me and the rest of my pack, but for I have been the primary summon of Sakumo, you would be needed to imprint on another."
Another poof and a light gray wolf appears beside Yoshiro.
"I'VE BEEN SUMMONED! FATHER!" It prances around the Hatake's back yard and soon came back to nuzzle his father's fur. The wolf that appears has beautiful grey coat with dark grey accents, and white nuzzles. It has a lot of energy and seems to be very excited to the prospect of being a companion to a summoner.
"Yes, Yasu, now calm down and let me introduce the two of you." The wolf, Yasu, immediately sits down beside his father and opens his mouth as he lets his tongue fall to the side of his mouth. "Sakura, this is Yasu, my eldest, he is to be the next pack leader this upcoming fall and I would say that he seems to be the most compatible to assist you."
He's... acting like Naruto... It was the first thought that went through both time-traveller's mind. "Hello, Yasu-sama, my name is Sakura. I hope we could get along-"
"SAKURA-CHAN! YES YES OF COURSE! AND NONE OF THAT YASU-SAMA THING, CALL ME YASU. JUST YASU!" He cut Sakura off of her introduction and started to prance around her person.
Sakura, who is equally baffled and amused, leaned down and strokes Yasu's fur, immediately feeling an attachment to the wolf. She lightly laughs and replies a short, "Okay then, Yasu-kun!" as both Kakashi and Yoshiro sighs at the vibrance of their bond.
"Looks like they have already imprinted on each other, I think it would be easier to do the ritual then." Yoshiro sets his eyes on the newly bonded pair and immediately howls, gaining the attention of all three beside him. Yasu joined on the howl and the sky begins to rumbles, Kakashi took Sakura's hand instinctively and suddenly the both of them starts to glow.
As the two finishes on their howl, the glow on Kakashi's body transferred to Sakura and she glows brighter. More and more chakra appears on her person and the intensity of it caused Kakashi to squint his eyes.
The sky turns back to blue, Sakura's glow slowly dimmed and got absorbed to her body. Sakura screams and holds her head with her hands as she drops down to her knees and feels pain all over her body. Kakashi started to panic and be concerned over Sakura, since he never saw how the ritual goes before.
As soon as Sakura stops screaming, a wave of white chakra was expelled from her body, causing the trees to shake and rumble. The roots of the trees came out from the ground below her and encase Sakura inside a cocoon of barks. After the minutes pass, Sakura steps out of the cocoon and the roots went back inside the ground, leaving only the holes of which they came out from.
"It is done, may the white chakra be of use to you and the deeds you do, Hatake Sakura"
