As the five trainers left the gym, they begun to plan out their next moves. Perseus looked at his sisters and their friend.
"so Leaf, what are you planning on next? You already battled and beat Brock, so you have the boulder badge. Are you planning on going to Cerulean next, to battle the gym leader there?" he asked.
Having been asked a question by her friend, and crush, the young budding woman thought on her answer for a bit, before speaking out. "well, if it's okay with all of you, I thought maybe we could travel together for a little while, you know? Just for a town or a few, training together, mock battling one another, that sort of thing?"
"I have no problems with that. I don't think anyone else would either. After all, it's not as if we all planned to stick together for the rest of our journeys either, so adding and losing another companion wouldn't be to much of an issue, would it?" Hemera announced cheerfully. Always happy to be surrounded by people, this one was.
"Cerulean gym uses water type Pokemon, right? So that means we should all, with the exception of leaf and Hemera, try to search for a grass, or electric type, right? Then again, even grass types aren't a safe choice against water types, due to them being able to learn some ice moves." Thalassa calmly stated.
"well, I do have nidorina, that's neutral, but a grass or electric type wouldn't hurt. Nyx doesn't have a very good position either, she has a fire type, and a water type. Though between here and Cerulean, the only few types that would help, are either a paras, a mareep, or shinx. Paras is a relatively weak Pokemon, and mareeps and shinxes are pretty elusive around here. Oh well, I guess we will just catch what we find, if anything." Perseus said.
Arriving to the Pokemon center and getting their Pokemon healed, the five then went out and grabbed a bite to eat. Of course the young women all made Perseus pay.
"oh of course I have to pay. Damn freeloaders. It's because I'm a male, isn't it?! Those assholes." he grumbled goodnaturedly. Much to the amusement of the others, all of whom decided to order the most expensive thing on the menu. Those fuckers!
'oh I will have my revenge. Just you all wait.' the young man thought, before looking down at his wallet, and wincing. 'oh my poor, poor wallet.' as he took a small dent in his savings and winnings.
Finishing up their meal, they headed back to the Pokemon center, and grabbed their Pokemon. Heading towards the exit on the west side of Pewter city, to begin their trek towards Mt. Moon.
Walking in the grass, they soon encountered a jigglypuff. Leaf got excited. "A JIGGLYPUFF. IT'S SO CUTE!" she squealed loudly. Nyx glared at her for the loud outburst. Perseus just rolled his eyes exasperated, though he wore a fond smile on his face. He liked seeing his friends happy.
"use your inside voice." Hemera told leaf gently. Leaf just nodded sheepishly, before unclipping a pokéball off of her belt, enlarging it, and tossing it out into the air.
"go kirlia." she called as the ball opened and released the Pokemon inside. The dual psychic and fairy type glared down at her opponent. Jigglypuff seemed to be very unhappy, if the gaze it showed on it's face meant anything.
"kirlia, use disarming voice, followed up by psybeam." leaf ordered. Kirlia was more than happy to oblige her trainer. Launching a small orb of pale pink energy, immediately chased by a multicolored beam of psychic energy, all of which slammed into the jigglypuff and threw it back.
Jigglypuff rolled off it's back forwards, gleaming with a bright, silver sheen, the jigglypuff barreled towards kirlia, smashing into her with incredible force. Kirlia was thrown back and slammed right into a tree. Barely conscious, the emotion Pokemon struggled back to her feet.
"what move was that?! Why and how did it do so much damage?!" leaf asked/demanded to know.
"leaf, I think that might have been gyro ball. Since kirlia is part fairy type, a steel type attack does super effective damage. Be careful." Perseus told her.
"WHAT?! Why does this thing know a steel type attack?!" leaf screamed. Hemera and Thalassa sighed, while gently rubbing their ears, thankfully their ear drums were still intact. Perseus' eyes twitched, wasn't she told to use an inside voice?! He glanced over at Nyx, wanting to know why she hadn't said anything to leaf yet, only to glare at her. She had put some earplugs in her ears. HIS EARPLUGS, and she had the nerve to smile at him?! Cheeky bitch.
"kirlia, teleport to jigglypuff, use hypnosis, and then use draining kiss to take all of it's energy." kirlia vanished in a bright burst of light, before appearing in front of the singing Pokemon. The emotion pokemon's eyes glowed bright red, before jigglypuff fell asleep, upon seeing her opponent sound asleep, kirlia then parted her lips, and lowered her head, before laying them on her fallen enemy. Capturing them, she began to glow pink, while sucking out the energy of jigglypuff. Seeing she had no better opportunity, leaf called out, "kirlia, teleport back over here!"
Once she was back with her trainer, Leaf threw one of her spare pokéballs, and caught the jigglypuff. She smiled happily at her newest capture.
Perseus and his sisters just shook their heads, though they were happy with their friend. Nyx and Perseus then decided to try and catch something themselves.
"hey, let's look around for a little bit, and see if we can at least find an electric type for the next gym. Unless of course anyone has a problem with that?" Nyx said sweetly, just daring anyone to oppose her.
"nope, no problems here, not a single one." Hemera said frantically. Hey say what you want, but her sister scared the shit out of her. Any rational person would be afraid of Nyx.
Leaf and Thalassa were shaking their heads off at the side as well, Nyx scared the fuck out of them as well. Perseus was just laughing his ass off, internally that is. He just raised an eyebrow at them all, before walking off in the grass, looking around through bushes, or caves, even some tunnels in the ground, thinking on what he would prefer, an eventual ampharos or luxray?
Bzzt. Crackle. Snap.
He quickly jumped back, just in time to, a small bolt of electricity hit where he was just standing. Glancing up, he came across a mareep. Although it was a bit different than normal mareeps.
The mareep had the same dark blue face, along with the black hooves, and black horns, with yellow stripes on them. It even had the same tail. The difference however, was the wool. Whereas mareep normally had whitish or yellowish wool, this one, had purple. Perseus' eyes widened. He pulled out his pokédex, and scanned the Pokemon.
"Mareep. The wool Pokemon. Mareep's fluffy coat of wool rubs together and builds a static charge. The more static electricity is charged, the more brightly the light bulb at the tip of its tail glows.Note this Pokemon, is shiny."
'dam, a shiny Pokemon? Well at least it's a decent Pokemon. Okay now, who should battle it?' Perseus thought to himself. Before grabbing a ball off of his ball carrier. He tossed it into the air, with a shout of, "Go."
A bright silhouette faded away to reveal his choice, nidorina. Perseus smiled. He then called out, "nidorina, quick attack it with poison fang, followed up by bite."
charging forward, her fangs dripping purple liquid. Latching onto the mareep, which let out a pained cry as she felt the attack. Letting go, she then snapped her jaws on her enemy, the mareep had enough, it let loose a blast of electricity. A shock wave. Nidorina was launched back and flipped through the air.
Perseus gritted his teeth, before noticing the flinching and wincing mareep did, liquid purple was oozing off of it. He grinned, the mareep was poisoned.
"nidorina, use focus energy, before attacking with double kick. Take it down!" the nidorina glowed a bright white, before rushing towards the mareep, spinning around, and thrusting her hind legs out, hitting the mareep once and then a second time. Mareep let out a loud scream, before glowing yellow, it's tail began to shine, before letting loose a powerful thunder shock.
"nidorina, quick use fury swipes and end this." nidorina lifted her claws up, before bringing them down over and over again. Mareep couldn't hold up for long. Between the poison and the multiple attacks, it fell quickly. Throwing a ball, the mareep was caught, Perseus grinned, content with his newest catch. Nidorina was by her trainer's side, beaming with pride at her success.
Nyx rolled her eyes, peeved at her brother's luck. Turning around however, her eyes started shooting sparks. Digging around in her bag, eating her food, was a small Pokemon. A shinx, to be exact. She growled out, "okay. .IT."
"go Houndour, cook that little bastard with ember." she yelled out when throwing her pokéball. Upon her release, the Pokemon did exactly that, she quickly opened her mouth, and let loose a small ball of flames. Hitting the shinx, and doing a little bit of damage, somehow even managing to get a burn. Nyx smirked, and told Houndour, "attack with bite and smog. Don't let up, don't give it even a minute." Houndour rushed forward with her jaws wide open, and latched onto the shinx, and started to shake her head, before letting the shinx out, and jumping back. Loosening her jaw, Houndour spewed out some purple mist, hitting the shinx, and causing it to cough and hack out.
Shinx shook it's head, before lunging forwards, it's own jaws open, crackling and sparking with electricity, chomping down on Houndour with thunder fang. Jumping back, shinx became cloaked in lightning, running forward, and ramming into Houndour, pushing her back, and paralyzing her. Nyx glared at the shinx, "I swear it's like everything is against me today! I have had it! Houndour, get up and hit it with an ember barrage. I want it fainted." Houndour got up with a bit of struggle, sparks still flying off of her due to the paralysis, opening her maw, she blew out small fire ball after fire ball, hitting the shinx over and over again.
Finally, after two embers, the shinx fell to the ground, with closed eyes, Nyx didn't hesitate, before throwing a pokéball and catching the shinx.
"congratulations on your captures, a potential luxray and a potential ampharos will go a long way for the two of you." Thalassa told them both.
"thanks, though I have to admit, I didn't expect a shiny mareep, but I won't complain." Perseus told his sister, meanwhile Nyx pouted, "yes you got a pretty shiny, and I got a little bastard food thief. I call tauroshit."
"who knows what Pokemon we will run into next? For all you know, you could find a shiny phanpy or shiny clefairy in Mt. Moon." Perseus told his sister.
The group headed into the Pokemon center, to heal their Pokemon and take a quick rest, before finishing their trek in the mountain. They overheard a man bragging about selling a few 'rare' Pokemon. Rolling their eyes, they walked over to the man.
"excuse me, sir? You said you were selling rare Pokemon? How many, and for how much?" Hemera inquired politely.
The man reeked of greed, his expression screaming suckers! He told the young woman, "well I have two left, 1,000 pokedollars each. What do you say? The only ones of their kind! It's a real bargain, I tell ya."
"just a moment, sir." Thalassa said, before the group started to talk amongst themselves.
"I say we buy them. Even if the Pokemon doesn't turn out to be anything special, we would still be saving it from a disgusting owner!" leaf said. Hemera and Thalassa were inclined to agree. Nyx and Perseus however, were a bit more cautious.
"okay, while that is good and all, and it's a noble cause, what's to stop him from conning us or someone else? If we buy into his con here, he will go on to con more people. Not to mention, that he is probably just selling a magikarp or wishiwashi. We would be trumped two grand. So is it worth it? I don't think it is." Nyx stated.
Perseus, though added this, "personally I think I should just kick his ass, take the Pokemon, tie him up, blindfold him, and call officer Jenny. But, I promised mom I wouldn't do anything uncivilized, though I think it would be okay, everyone else seems to think it is the opposite." he hadn't noticed that his sisters, with the exception of Nyx, deadpanned at him, and leaf, looked like she wanted to laugh, "yes Perseus, that is uncivilized, and so not okay."
"whatever, so are we buying them or not? I would like to get in and out of the mountain sometime today you know." Nyx said annoyed. Perseus rolled his eyes, 'she definitely needs to get laid, she's bitchier than usual'.
Nyx glared at her brother, feeling like he just said something rude, insulting, or sexist. 'oh well, I will punish him later.'
"fine, but Percy you buy one, and Nyx will buy the other, okay? Okay." Hemera said. Nyx's eye twitched, but she and Perseus walked over to the man and paid him the money, before walking out of the center and into the mountain entrance.
So not much happened here, unfortunately.
Leaf is now traveling with Percy and the others, for a short time. I am thinking on where and when I want them to all split up.
Nyx seems to be a bit angry with Percy, I wonder why? Lol
what about the shiny mareep, that Percy caught?
What two Pokemon did the man sell Percy and Nyx? I am thinking on making them shiny as well, but I don't know.
Percy's egg will most likely hatch into an eevee, but I am not one hundred percent sure yet.
What Pokemon should they catch in the cave/mountain?
Next chapter will feature, hopefully, a battle with a surprise rival or two, a gym leader match, possibly a lemon or two, and some interesting captures.
What Pokemon should they all start catching? Keep in mind, I have the final say, I want to hear some feedback though.
Also, what legendaries do you think they should all get? Now granted won't happen for a while, and it will most likely be kept to the region they are in, for the moment, so that means, for example, in this region, it's only moltres, zapdos, articuno, mew, mewtwo.
When they get to johto, it will be the johto legendaries, and so on and so forth.
