Hey guys! I'm finally back. My computer was having issues. Sorry about that! I got a new device for Christmas and I'm able to update the story again. Have a nice day! :)

Azra sat down beside Sarabi. "See Sarabi, I told you she would be fine." Sarafina said. "Alright. Did anything happen after we left?" Sarabi asked. "I have a date with Tojo tomorrow." Azra said proudly. "Wonderful choice." Sarabi commented. "He's a great kid." Sarafina added. "Yeah and he's ten times better than your first boyfriend." Nala said and cringed, remembering the horrible guy.

Azra nodded in agreement. Her first boyfriend was a gold digger and a cheater. Azra caught him with another girl, telling her that Azra would never find out and that he was just using her for money. Azra immediately broke up with him and Scar nearly killed him when he found out.

"Then after Tojo left, some men who were part of my father's army attacked me. I fought them off of course but I hate when that happens." Azra told the group. "Wait what? I thought I got rid of everyone loyal to Scar." Simba said, confused.

"You did. These men aren't loyal to Scar. In fact they hate him. They helped Shenzi kill him. They somehow slipped the system. They told your men that my father forced them to join his army and that is a huge lie." Azra explained. "I'll have to put my soldiers to work finding them." Simba decided.

"Azra, with your skill you should seriously consider joining the military." Nala suggested. "I am. It's something I've wanted to do for a while. Tojo has too. When I'm old enough, we're both going to enlist." Azra told her. "That's good. You and your boyfriend in service together." Nala teased. Azra shoved her playfully.

Timon and Pumbaa came into the room with plates of barbecue. They sat them down on the table and everyone started eating. "This is good, Timon. It's the best batch you've ever made." Simba complimented. "Thanks pal." Timon responded.

After dinner, Azra went home. She opened her front door and walked to her bedroom. She changed into her evening clothes and walked back out of the room. Azra went down the hallway and to the living room. Hanging on the walls were pictures of her family and military pictures and achievements. Her most valued was an award that Scar had won for his bravery in many wars of the 1990s.

Azra kept a picture of Scar wearing his military uniform on a table in the living room. Azra sat down on her couch and thought about her father. She remembered him very clearly and wanted nothing more than things to be be the way they were before. Azra sighed. She missed Scar terribly. But he was gone and there was nothing she could do about it. Sure he was an evil murderer but he was still her father. Zara was a horrible mother to her and cared nothing about Azra. At least Scar loved Azra and cared about her.

Simba had every reason to hate Scar and Azra knew this so she didn't express that she loved him around Simba. Nala knew how she felt and told her best friend that Scar had his death coming. She also said that Azra was a good person and she shouldn't worry about her parents' mistakes. Azra tried to convince herself that this was true. Was it?

Azra had fought along side her friends and family to defend their home but she knew people still doubted her. Were they right? Azra was a spitting image of her father just like her baby brother, Kovu. She had the same dark hair as him. The same piercing green eyes. The same skinny, lean figure. Her facial features were even identical to his. The only thing that made them different was that Scar was evil and Azra was pure at heart.

Azra got up from the couch, turned out the lights, and walked to her bedroom. She set her alarm and turned off her lamp. Then she curled up on her bed and closed her eyes. Tomorrow is a new day. Another chance to prove I can be better than Scar. I just hope everyone else will except me. Azra thought as she fell asleep.

A Few Months Earlier

Azra, Sarafina, Eugene, and Tojo stood gathered around a tree in Azra's backyard. Nailed to the tree was a wooden plaque that read: Taka 'Scar' Thomas 1975 - 2015. The ground in front of the tree had just been dug up and then put back into place. It was obvious that they had just buried Scar in front of the tree.

Why was Sarafina there? She had loved Scar despite their differences and their parting when they were young. Why was Eugene there? He was Scar's best friend and brother in arms. Tojo was there to support Azra since he had grown quite fond of her. Sarafina sighed. "Azra, let me tell you something." She said softly. Azra looked up at her solemnly.

"Don't ever let anyone make you feel less of a person just because of Scar's mistakes. This was not who he was. I really think that if he had received the proper help when he was young, this wouldn't have happened. Rafiki even said so himself. Scar was a decent man but he was troubled. He was desperate for love and attention. He let his anger and his fear take over his life. Thus becoming a murderer.

But know this, he loved you. Deep down he loved all of us. It's too late to change the past but you know what? You can carry on your father's legacy simply by being the person he should have been. Use your talents for good, Azra. Do what your father could have done." Sarafina told Azra.

Eugene spoke up. "Be strong, Azra. The great rulers of the past will be with you always." He said encouragingly. "Thanks guys. I promise I'll stay true to what I know is right. I won't let you down." Azra vowed. That was the promise she made to herself and tried to stay true to it.
