Hey guys! I know it's really late, especially for people in my time zone, but I have been working nonstop on this chapter all evening so here you go. I have some ideas for future fanfics but if there is another Disney animal movie that you want me to humanize, let me know. Have a nice day/night! :)
Azra woke up and got dressed for the day. She had a job interview at the palace for a Royal Security position. Simba had recommended it since it would be a while before Azra went into the military. Azra also had a date with Tojo at three o'clock that afternoon. She was really looking forward to it because after her first boyfriend she didn't have much luck with guys.
Azra threw on a green crop top, brown shorts, and her boots. She put her hair up and put on a touch of makeup. Then she went to her kitchen and made a quick breakfast of hot tea and toast. She was a very light eater. Azra grabbed her keys and rushed out the door. She climbed into her jeep and drove to the palace's security building.
Azra parked the jeep and walked up to the entrance. A tall muscular man with brown hair greeted her at the gate. "Hi. You must be Azra. King Simba has told me so much about you. My name is Zuburi but you can call me Zeke. Everyone else does. I'm the captain of the Royal Security team." Zeke introduced himself. Azra nodded.
"You will be the first female on our team and the youngest to ever work with us. Our job is obviously to guard the palace, keep out intruders, and protect the royal family at all costs. Follow me and we'll start the interview." Zeke said and walked inside the building. Azra followed him. They went inside Zeke's office and sat down.
Zeke pulled out some paperwork and cleared his throat. "Do you feel that you have the qualities needed for this job?" He asked. "Yes, I do." Azra replied. "Do you have any experience with firearms and defense?" Zeke asked. "I do." Azra said. "I've heard that you were the one who took all the weapons from the armory and helped Queen Nala round up an army of civilians to take down your father. That's pretty impressive. We could use someone like you on our team." Zeke told her.
"Just fill out these papers and the job is yours." Zeke decided. "Thank you." Azra said, excited she got the job. She filled out the paperwork and left the security building. She would start her new job the following Monday. That gave her three days to prepare for it. Azra got in her Jeep and drove home. She spent the rest of her day tidying up her house and when it was time, she started getting ready for her date with Tojo. At three o'clock, Azra left the house and went to the gym. She walked around the building and saw Tojo sitting on top of his brown pickup truck.
Tojo was wearing a brown t-shirt and jeans with some holes in them. His brown hair was combed back neatly and the tiny, fuzzy beard on his chin was cleanly shaven off. He noticed Azra and jumped up. "Hey Azra. You wanted to see me?" He greeted her. "Yeah. So what do you want to do?" Azra asked. "Well, I do have a good place in mind. Hop in." Tojo said and gestured to his truck. Azra went around and got in the passenger's seat. Tojo drove to the national park and then drove to a spot he reserved just for them.
Tojo parked and the two of them got off the truck. Azra looked at her surroundings. There was tall green grass and all kinds of flowers everywhere. Behind her was a crystal clear pool of water with beautiful sandy banks this place was the very definition of magical. It was also very similar to where Simba took Nala when he was discovered.
"Tojo, this place is beautiful." Azra said in awe. "I know. I asked Simba if we could come because we are on the side of the park that he owns and he said yes. He also gave me a key. He said we could come back anytime." Tojo told her. "Wow. Simba is a nice guy." Azra said. Tojo nodded. "Azra, there is something I've been meaning to ask you for a while now." He said after a moment. "Okay. What is it?" Azra asked.
"Ever since seventh grade, I've taken a liking to you and when school shut down the year after, I still liked you. Do you remember when you, me, Nala, and the gang would hang out in the alleyways? And everybody said I liked Tama? I didn't. She was just a really close friend. I liked you. Which was crazy because well, look who your father was. But I realized that it didn't define you. You're beautiful and I love you because of it. So, will you be my girlfriend and hopefully someday more than that?" Tojo asked.
"Yes. I would love to." Azra said with a smile. She leaned forward and then the two of them kissed for a moment but then Tojo lost his balance and they both went tumbling down the sandy banks. They landed in the water and Azra laughed. She stood up, soaking wet and walked back to the truck. Tojo followed her. "Azra, what are your plans?" He asked as they sat down on the truck's tailgate.
"What do you mean?" Azra asked as she let her hair down. "I mean, what are you going to do with your life?" Tojo asked. "I don't really know. I already have my own house so I don't have to worry about that. I'm done with school. I guess I'll just do Royal Security and join the military. Then marry a nice guy like you and start a family." Azra told him. "How'd your interview go today?" Tojo asked. "I got the job. The guy seemed really nice. I start on Monday." Azra replied. "That's good. My Dad said I should apply for Royal Security too. I just don't know if I should." Tojo said doubtfully.
"I think you should. They have several positions open. Plus, some of the men who work there are snobs. They need more nice guys to work there." Azra encouraged him. "I'll consider it. Right now I just fix people's cars. It brings me enough money to get by." Tojo said and shrugged. "How is your dad? I know that the last few years have been hard on him." Azra asked. "He's fine. After Mom left he actually seemed happier." Tojo replied. Azra nodded. When Tojo was ten, his mother divorced Eugene because they argued about everything and she hated that Eugene was away all the time for his military career. Eugene got full custody of Tojo and they never spoke again.
"Any word on your family?" Tojo asked. "No and I could care less about them." Azra said angrily. "I wouldn't either." Tojo agreed. "I only care about Nuka. I hope he's okay. I miss him." Azra said sadly. "I'm sure he'll be fine." Tojo assured her.
The rest of the evening, Azra stayed with Tojo in the national park. They swam in the water and listened to their favorite rock bands like AC/DC and Metallica. Azra had a great time and returned home very happy. Over time, Azra and Tojo's relationship grew stronger and Eugene was delighted that he would most likely have Azra for a daughter-in-law.
