Hey guys! I know the last chapter was sad but it has a happy outcome. I introduce several new characters here. I hope you guys enjoy and have a nice day! :)

6 years later

Azra did in fact have another child as difficult as it was to get over the loss of her first one. It was a boy. His name was Taji but everyone called him Tanner. Today Azra was in the nursery playing with Tanner while Tojo was at work. Tanner had his mother's green eyes, both his parents' brown hair, and Tojo's facial features.

Tanner was only a few months old and Azra loved him. He was a mischief maker but he was a adorable little baby. Soon it was his nap time so Azra started to rock him to sleep. Tanner finally fell asleep and Azra laid him in his crib.

Azra walked out of the nursery and turned on the baby monitor. She went into her living room and flopped down on the couch. She turned on her TV on flipped through the channels. A news report came on the headline was shocking. It read: King Simba confronts Outlander leader, Zira Thomas. Azra's jaw dropped and turned up the volume.

"Breaking news. Earlier today authorities gathered at the Outland and Prideland border over a conflict concerning Princess Kiara and a 12 year old boy. According to Simba the boy was the same kid Zira uses on her propaganda. The two children were in the Outlands together and then Zira made an appearance. Kiara was rescued and Zira and the boy went back to the Outlands. Various attacks involving the Outlanders have been made in Capital City. King Simba has stated that steps are being taken to stop this although many people believe war is coming. Amara Ellis, Prideland News Network." The report said.

Azra was shocked. What was Kovu doing? Also, he's 12 years old? It's been that long? She thought. She picked up her phone FaceTimed Nala. "Hey." Nala said when she answered. "Oh my gosh, Nala. What happened? I just saw the news." Azra told her.

"Well, Simba decided to let Kiara go out on her own for a change and shop at the mall. Then Kiara went to the Outlands and met Kovu. Zira saw them together and tried to hurt Kiara. Luckily we showed up in time and stopped her. Nothing happened except a heated conversation with Zira. We went our separate ways and then Kiara got some scolding from me and Simba." Nala explained.

Azra sighed. "When will Zira ever quit? And I thought Shenzi was relentless." She said in frustration. "I know. Attacks from her are becoming more frequent and I'm very afraid that this is going to turn into war." Nala said grimly. Azra nodded. She ended the phone call with Nala and went back to tidying up the nursery.

The Next Day

Azra sat at her kitchen table feeding Tanner his breakfast. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Azra got up to answer it. "I'll be right back, Tanner." She said and walked over to the door. She opened it and gasped. A teenage girl was standing in the doorway. She looked battered and injured. Her clothes were torn and she had a backpack slung over her shoulder.

Azra knew her from somewhere but she couldn't figure out where. "Can I help you?" She asked. "Azra, it's me." the girl said and looked into her eyes. Azra realized who she was and couldn't believe it. "Samara? Is that you?" Azra said in shock. The girl nodded. Samara was Azra's second cousin because she was the daughter of Zira's first cousin.

"What are you doing here? What happened?" Azra exclaimed. Samara burst into tears. "I can't take it anymore! Zira has gone crazy. She pushes us to the extreme. She hit Nuka for letting Kovu wander around even though it wasn't his fault. My mother isn't any better. She nearly killed me the other night. I had enough so I left. I almost got killed by doing that. You were the only person I thought of that I could go to." Samara told her.

"Come inside. We have a lot to catch up on. Last time I saw you, you were 11." Azra said and ushered Samara inside. Azra grabbed Tanner and sat down on the couch with Samara. "You have a son? Are you married?" Samara asked. "Yeah. I ended up getting married to Tojo just like you predicted. But enough about me, what's been happening with you? How old are you now?" Azra asked.

"I'm 23. Azra, Simba should never have let us go with Mom and Zira. What was he thinking? They're crazy! They don't deserve to even be near a child." Samara said in disgust. "I know but Simba's logic was that Dad had already been killed in front of them and he didn't want to traumatize them even more by taking them away from their mother. Same with you." Azra explained.

"I guess that makes sense but we could have stayed with you. Zira is nuts. She thinks Kovu is gonna grow up and be some big warrior that reclaims the Pridelands." Samara said and rolled her eyes. "The sad part is that as far as I know, Dad never told her to do this. I watched him die in front of me. Training Kovu as his successor was not his last words." Azra said with a sigh.

"What am I going to do? I don't have citizenship so technically I'm here illegally." Samara said and put her head in her hands. "It's okay. I'll talk to Simba. I'm sure he'll understand your situation." Azra reassured her.

2 hours later - Simba's office

"What? After what happened yesterday, no. How do we know this isn't part of some plan Zira hatched?" Simba snapped after hearing Azra's request. "I know Samara. She wouldn't do something like that. And if Zira was going to do something it would involve Kovu. Please just trust me." Azra pleaded. "No. I can't risk it. We're already on the brink of war." Simba said dismissively.

"Just give her a chance." Azra said. "No. I already took a risk by letting you stay." Simba shouted but then caught himself. Azra's jaw dropped. "I mean…" Simba stammered. "So the truth comes out! Is there anything else you want to say Simba? I've saved your life how many times? It's been 12 years! Get a hold of yourself! What my father did was not my fault! How many times do I have to explain that?" Azra screamed at him.

Simba bit his lip. Azra turned and started to storm away. "Azra, wait." Simba said more calmly. Azra turned around. "I'll make sure Samara gets her citizenship. I'm sorry. It just slipped out. But it's hard for me to trust anyone anymore. I trusted Scar and he killed my father. I trusted my judgment and now I have hundreds of people missing from the population because they're in the Outlands. I trusted the military with sorting out the attacks but even they can't do it. I'm just so lost." Simba said sadly.

"You can trust me. I'll always be here. So will Nala and Tojo and guess who else? Mufasa will always be there for you. Just learn to let go of the past, Simba. It's time to move on." Azra advised him. "Thanks and again I'm sorry. You just go home and tell Samara the news. I'll see you later." Simba said. Azra nodded and left the office. She told Samara the news and she was elated.
