Hey guys! Omg thank you so much for the idea to humanize Disney's Robin Hood! You're a genius, Guest. I might do the Jungle Book sometime as well. We have those two options or a story about the Outlands or a story about Mohatu. These are all things I want to do in the future. Which one should I do after this? Tell me in the reviews. Have a nice day! :)
5 years later
Conflict with the Outlands was still going on but Azra and the royal family looked past it for now. Today was a very special day. Kiara had just turned 16 and Simba was hosting a party at the palace for family and friends. Azra and Tojo sat at a table, talking with Tama and her husband. Kiara walked into the room and everyone turned to look at her. Azra couldn't believe how much Kiara had grown. It seemed like it was just yesterday when Kiara was little. It made Azra feel old.
Simba led Kiara outside to the garage to see her new car and Azra smiled as she heard Kiara squeal with happiness. Azra had helped Nala convince Simba to buy it for Kiara. Simba came back inside and walked over to his goofy friends, Timon and Pumbaa. "Guys, can you do me a favor and keep an eye on Kiara? She just took her new car for a test drive. Don't let her see you though. She'll be mad at me forever if she finds out." Simba whispered to them.
Azra rolled her eyes. Simba was so overprotective but it was none of her business so Azra always kept quiet. Timon and Pumbaa got up from the sofa and went to the garage to follow Kiara. Azra shook her head.
30 minutes later
Azra could see that Simba was getting worried about Kiara. Nala was reassuring him when Simba got a call. "Hello? A fire? Where? I'm on my way." He said and hung up the phone. "Nala we have to go now!" Simba cried and ran out of the room. Nala followed him and Azra followed her but discreetly because she didn't want Simba knowing. Simba got in their car and sped away with emergency vehicles trailing behind them. Azra got in her car and followed close behind.
There was a huge fire on Palm Street and Azra knew it had to have been set on purpose. But who would do such a thing? Azra saw Kiara standing next to her car and a teenager that looked shockingly similar to Scar. Azra almost thought it was Scar but she realized it was just Kovu. Why was he even there to begin with?
Azra rolled down her window and watched the situation from afar. "What are you doing in the Pridelands? I thought I already told you once to get out!" Simba shouted at Kovu. "I humbly ask to become a citizen of the Pridelands again." Kovu said calmly. Azra gasped. Why was he doing this? Was it part of Zira's plans?
"No. You were exiled along with the other Outsiders." Simba growled. "I have left the Outsiders. Judge me now for who I am or am I to blamed for a crime I didn't commit." Kovu stood his ground. Simba sighed irritably. "Dad he saved my life!" Kiara told him. "Simba you owe him one." Nala said sternly. Simba calmed down. "Alright hot shot. You get a week with us and then I'll decide if you deserve citizenship. Until then I'm watching you." He decided.
Azra was stunned. Simba actually agreed to let Kovu stay. That was surprising. Azra knew something was up though. Why would Kovu just up and leave like that? Maybe he finally had enough of Zira and left. But wouldn't Nuka and Vitani come with him?
As Simba and the others left, Azra followed them back to the palace. She parked her car in the shadows and watched Kovu carefully. Kovu got out of his car and tried to follow Simba inside the palace but Simba stopped him. Azra smirked with amusement. Simba was making sleep in his car. Kiara walked up to Kovu and talked with him for a while. Azra saw it as flirting. Kiara finally left and Azra carefully got out of her Jeep. She approached Kovu's car and knocked on the window.
Kovu opened his car door and stepped out. "Uh, hi. Do I know you?" Kovu said and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah actually you do. I'm your adoptive sister. You won't know who I am because the last time we saw each other you were a baby." Azra told him. "Oh yeah. Mom told us about you. You're Azra. What do you want?" Kovu asked. "I just wanted to say hi. You can talk to me at anytime. I know how it feels to be one of Scar's kids here." Azra said and Kovu nodded.
"Thanks. I better get to sleep now. Leaving the Outlands was really tiring." Kovu said. Azra nodded. "It was good talking to you." She said and left him. She walked back to her Jeep, picked Tojo up, and drove home.
Azra and Tojo went into their living room where Samara was babysitting Tanner. "Hey, I saw the news. What happened?" Samara greeted them. "Kovu is here in the Pridelands now. Simba has given him a week to prove himself." Azra told her. "Really? That's surprising." Samara said. "I know. What's Kovu doing here anyway? I mean right now is a pretty random time to be asking for citizenship." Azra said and shook her head.
"It is weird. Do you think it might be part of a plan to take over the Pridelands?" Samara asked. "I don't know what to believe. I hope not." Azra said with a sigh.
