Hey guys! Action is coming! This will make up for the last chapter since it was so short. Have a nice day! :)
It was just a normal day for Azra. Nala had called and said Kovu and Kiara were taking a liking to each other and that Simba was spending time with Kovu today. Azra was very excited. But it didn't last long. Azra got a call from Nala that afternoon that the Outlanders were attacking Simba at the national park. Azra rushed to the scene in her Jeep.
An Outlander car and Simba's car were crashed by the main road which was now blocked by authorities. The next thing that Azra saw shocked her the most. Simba limped out of the wreckage behind her but she didn't care. Nuka's beaten, bloody body was laying next to his car. Azra gasped and ran to her brother she hadn't seen in years.
Simba collapsed into Nala's arms who shot Azra a confused look but Azra kept going. By now Prideland forces had left the scene and were rushing an injured Simba to the hospital. "Nuka! No!" Azra screamed in utter pain. Nuka was older now. Not the sweet ten year old but a warrior in his twenties who looked a lot like Scar now.
"No! I shouldn't have let you go with her! You would've been safe with me… Now you're gone…" Azra sobbed. She wiped her eyes and stood up. Just as Azra reached down to grab Nuka's body for a burial, she heard a gun cock in the distance. "Don't." A young, female voice growled. Azra stepped back and looked up.
A young woman with blonde hair and sapphire eyes, dressed in combat gear stepped forward. Azra pulled out her pistol and raised it just as the woman did. "Who are you? If you haven't already noticed, my brother has just been killed and I don't feel like dealing with this!" Azra shouted. "Your brother? Lady, I don't know who you are but Nuka is my brother." The woman said aggressively.
Azra realized who the woman was and said, "Vitani?" The woman lowered her weapon slightly and stared at Azra. "Yes, how do you know who I am?" Vitani asked. "I'm your sister." Azra said, shocked at who she was seeing. "I have a sister? Mom never told me-" Vitani started but then looked at Azra harder. "You look like Scar." Vitani said after a moment. She looked afraid. Azra tried to reach out to her but Vitani flinched.
"I have to go." Vitani said quickly and dragged Nuka to her vehicle before Azra could protest. "Wait!" Azra called out as Vitani sped away. Azra fell to her knees in defeat. She looked up to the sky in anger. "Some protectors you guys are!" She spat. Where was the guidance from the great kings when she needed them?
Azra gunned the Jeep to the palace and saw Kovu walk up to the palace entrance where Simba, Kiara, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa stood. Simba looked furious. He also had a bandaged arm and a bruised up face. Apparently, Kovu was working with the Outlanders the whole time and the ambush was just a part of the plan. How dare him! He has the audacity to come back after what he's done! Azra thought angrily.
The media were gathered outside the palace gates as well as an angry patriotic mob of civilians. A group of palace guards had gathered behind Kovu too. "Why have you come back? You have some nerve punk!" Simba shouted. "Simba, I had nothing to do with-" Kovu started. "Really? We found all the evidence in your car. A pistol, maps of the Pridelands, pictures of me, I could go on!" Simba yelled. "Simba please. I ask for your forgiveness." Kovu begged.
"No! You took advantage of me and my daughter! I gave you a week to prove yourself and now I've made up my mind. Exile!" Simba shouted. Azra gasped. "No!" Kiara cried. She tried to run forwards but Nala held her back. Kovu turned and ran away as fast as he could. He went through the guards as they shouted and spat at him. The angry crowd was swearing and throwing rocks or whatever they could find at Kovu. Kovu hightailed it out of there and Azra almost felt bad for him.
No. That's what's wrong with me. I've given my family too many chances. Some of them won't change. Kovu deserves this. He tricked everyone. Azra told herself. Kiara ran up to Simba. "Daddy, please reconsider this!" Kiara pleaded. Is she serious?! Azra thought. "No. You will not go anywhere without an escort from now on." Simba said firmly. "Dad-" Kiara started. "He used you to get to me!" Simba told her. "He loves me. For me!" Kiara shouted.
Azra shook her head. Poor girl. She's so naive. "Because you're my daughter! You will not leave the palace and you'll stay where I can keep an eye on you. Away from him." Simba shouted. "You don't know him!" Kiara cried. "I know he's following in Scar's footsteps so I must follow in my father's." Simba said turned his back to Kiara. "You will never be Mufasa!" Kiara screamed. She turned and ran inside the palace with tears streaming down her face.
Everyone standing around the gates gasped and started to bad mouth Kiara in hushed whispers. She did not just say that! Azra thought and shook her head. She started her Jeep and drove away. The people in the crowd were starting to leave anyway.
Azra rushed into her house and grabbed her computer to do some research about something. She googled news pages about the Outlands to see what came up. One headline was, Reporter Goes Missing During an Investigation in the Outlands. Azra clicked on it and read the article. It said that the reporter went missing but his findings still managed to survive.
Azra looked at horrific pictures of the conditions in the Outlands and read about the brutal training that the reporter witnessed. Azra couldn't stand it and moved on. She had access to files as she was a top dog in the Prideland military so she went to search up her mother and her three siblings. Azra clicked on Zira's file.
It was interesting but it was mostly stuff Azra already knew. She also found it amusing that Scar and Zira had gotten married when they were nineteen. What a love story. Azra thought. She found a picture of her parents sitting outside when they were younger. Scar looked slightly different. His hair went down to the middle of his back and he had tattoos on both his shoulders. He had his green and black Les Paul guitar in his lap and was kissing Zira.
Azra sighed and clicked on Nuka's file. There wasn't much there of course. It only listed his birthday, his full name, and a few pictures of him. Azra continued to look at her siblings' files but she found nothing of importance. She closed her computer in frustration. "How could Vitani not know who I was? Nuka knew and apparently Kovu did too. Why would Zira keep it from Vitani?" Azra wondered aloud.
The bigger question was, when was the war?
