Lamenting, Regret and Comatose

Note: I wanted Ran's mindscape to resemble 'The Upside-down' from Stranger Things in order to have a true representation of Ran's sadness, despair and loneliness.

Third POV

Iruka read through Ran's journal moments before her so-called banishment and disappearance 'no wonder she hated it here' he thought. Her journal added how she was unable to go to the piler of heroes to read the names of those who lost their lives to fight off the nine tailed fox. When ever I go to the pillar to find the name 'Uzumaki' I am chased away. I just want to know who my parents were, so far no one is giving me answers' not even Lord Hokage. In my dreams I have parents, friends, no one want to beat me up, laugh at me, let alone chase me away like I am not human. I just want to stay in the dreams forever and never wake up. When I sleep, I am always hoping I will never wake up.

Iruka's POV

When I read the entry 'so that is why she goes there and then I catch a glimpse of her running away from there' I thought. 'She did have a right to know who her parents were, as a sense of closure' I thought. I read more of her journal if my parents hated me why did they even have me from the start? I ask was I that unwanted they left me to be harassed, humiliated, chased away, assaulted and singled out for no reason by the Leaf? I feel I need to go, there is no place for me here. I will comply with Lord Hokage's request to leave and never return. I continued to read all of this and realized how she had suffered and it caused her to lose her sense of speech, her eye color fading from a shade of purple to near lifelessness, and looking more like an empty shell.

"Ran Uzumaki I didn't understand you, let alone your feelings. I had heard Danzō Shimura wanted to throw you into ROOT because he saw you as a weapon. You are not a weapon; you were just a victim of circumstance. You just wanted to know your parents were and if they cared about you before they died" I said as I closed her journal. If she was found alive, I promised to ensure life returned to her eyes. Her journal described how she had been feeling for years; isolated, unwanted, useless, hopeless, worthless, shut out, picked on. I realized I was one of those who did this to her and she didn't deserve it and grew to hate the village.

When I'm gone and to whoever is reading this most likely Iruka-sensi you got what you wanted. This was the last sentence before she left the village. I know Hibachi was kicked out of the Academy and his little gang was suspended until further notice.

In the Village Hidden in the Mountains

Third POV

Once Miki was done with her checkup since the little one was found freezing with barley any clothing on her husband, Kenpachiro Fuyu. He admitted along with his brothers Tsutomu and Mizuho they had never seen their oldest brother like that when he ran into the village with his jacket on the child and feeling sad for her.

"Is she dead" his wife Kumi asked as Tsutomu and his wife Akane got the youngling into the bed to assess her. "I don't know she was freezing and her breath was slowing down" Haruo. The little one who they know now as Ran Uzumaki was in a gown, hocked up to life support because according the Haruo's brother Tsutomu she was fading and the doctors informed them she had fallen comatose.

"I was in her mindscape and it was terrible it was a twisted version of our reality; the shadows and twisted versions of humans are the abuse she suffered. It was far worse than I thought knowing her status as a Jinchūriki was revealed and somehow, she figured it out. She was in chains on a wall and all of those shadows harmed her and when her eyes opened there was nothing but dark black eyes" Miki explained.

Kenpachiro helped his wife out of the room to ensure she would be alright. He glanced at the small girl in the hospital bed on various machines to ensure she does not die on them. One thing was for sure the Yamanokage was not going to let the Leaf take Ran back because they know about the order of her banishment, it was a terrible act to do on a poor, sad and lonely child. "If they do come to try to take her, no way the Hokage and his shinobi are going near her again" Lord Yamanokage decreed.

In Ran's Mindscape

Ran's POV

I could hear and feel everything as the chains were encasing me and I did not bother fighting it and out of no where a tall woman with short black hair appeared "Ran, is that your name" she asked. "Yes" I replied. "Where did you come from" she asked "Leaf" I replied. "Why are you not in the Leaf" "Banished". Then she was gone.

In the Hospital

Ran's POV

Before I blacked out, I could see a really tall, muscular man picking me up, wrapping me in his coat and then running. "Take this kid she's not moving and she's cold" he shouted. He was holding me in his arms and before I knew it was transferred to another pair of arms. I felt myself being set down on something warm and soft. "Why would a village do this to a child" the same voice of the woman asked. I could hear everything but why are they caring about me, I'm just an outsider who was banished because the Hokage hated me too just like the rest of the Leaf.

Third POV

Ran was in a deep coma due to her body weakening and shutting down because of the years of abuse, although the Mountain Village hospital was keeping her alive. Of course, people from all over the Mountain Village would see the youngling, mostly Haruo and his wife, Kumi. "I wonder if she knows people are seeing her" Kumi asked. "Akane said she might be aware of it and so far, they couldn't let any of her soon to be classmates see her yet" Haruo replied. With Ran very sick there was no way they would let the young see her yet.

"At least we were able to get our home ready for her" Kumi murmured as she and her husband watched the little one. So far she was getting better, slowly coming out of a coma.
