Recovery, Assessment and New Life

Note: In addition to Ran's mindscape resembling the 'upside-down world' from 'Stanger Things' have those who have harmed Ran physically, mentally and emotionally to resemble the beings seen in the series 'Little Nightmares' (fun game by the way).

Third POV

Ran was still having nightmares about her abuse to a point where Miki had to calm her down using her mind jutsu. 'Calm down they are not real they cannot hurt you' she said to calm her down. As soon as Miki left Ran to calm down from her recent nightmare. "How is she" Kumi asked as her husband, Haruo entered.

"Not good I have seen how she sees those of the Hidden Leaf as terrifying monsters. She must have been really terrorized just for containing the Nine Tailed Fox" Miki replied to her sister-in-law. Haruo looked into the room where Ran was recovering by then she was hiding under the covers 'you will never go through this pain again little one I promise' he thought looking at the small girl.

Haruo's POV

I know little Ran still has a long recovery before she would be cleared to leave the hospital. 'I still can't get over how small she is, only four feet tall' I thought. People of my village are much taller and then some. My wife and I decided to take her in to raise her as our very own. When I cradled her tiny body, I knew right away she needed help, she was very weak and was barely breathing.

So far, my wife and I began getting her new room ready in our house from her mindscape she had been living in a run-down apartment with little to no resources due to the abuse she suffered. 'No child should have to go through this. What did the Leaf do to her?' I thought as I entered the room. "Shh there is no need to fear me little one I will not hurt you" I said as I took a seat next to her to make myself smaller and less intimidating to her. I held her tiny hand into mine. "My name is Haruo Fuyu and I made a choice to my wife to adopt you and care for you like my own child" I said as a soft of a voice I could. My comrades always told me I was an intimidating figure considering I am the tallest and more muscular in comparison to others in the mountain village.

Ran's POV

When I opened my eyes there was a large man in the room with me, he was huge. I felt scared knowing I had no means of fighting him but his soft voice made me feel safe. "My sister-in-law, or should I say your soon to be aunt Miki saw everything in your mind to understand how you are feeling and how to help you get better" he said.

I was shocked I thought it was Ino's dad could do that. He put his hand on my should and said "they won't hurt you anymore, Lord Yamanokage decreed the order that if any from the Land of Fire came, they were not to approach you. You will be a shinobi, I promise" he said to me. I was at first afraid of him considering how grown-ups always treat me but he took me into his village. "Get some rest little one my brother Tsutomu or your soon to be uncle are going to examine you in the morning" he said as he left the room.

I felt myself feel heavy and fall right to sleep knowing I can feel safe and I have heard how big the mountain villagers and ninja are but the fact I came here because of my banishment, maybe my banishment from the Land of Fire was meant to happen.
