A Single Red Orchid

Thank you, followers, for being there and giving me ideas since I had been absent from Fanfiction due to school demanding my attention for a long time, adjusting to my new home and new job. I am making an effort to return to my stories so please if you have any ideas send them over.

Third POV

Ran was easily recognized by the Village with her red-hair, her violet-colored eyes and small stature considering local villagers were really tall. 'Least no one is giving me nasty looks, throwing things at me and so far, I can live my new life in peace' she thought. This was all Ran ever wanted; to live her life, be treated like a normal girl and not be viewed as a monster despite the fact she shares her body with one.

To Ran the best part was she had since been adopted during her recovery from a nasty prank but to her it was little compensation the preparator was kicked out of the academy, not allowed to see his friends again and he will never be a shinobi. As far as Ran was concerned, she never wanted to see the Leaf again as it would have opened old wounds she wanted to heal.

Unknown to Ran her youngest uncle Mizuho was keeping his eyes on her making sure none of the Leaf shinobi went near her again. "Keeping an eye on 'Little Orchid' again" a voice came, it was Mizuho's girlfriend, Yuri. "Yes, Yuri Harou does not want those Leaf people near her, so far one tried to go near her" he replied.

Mizuho's POV

I wondered if my brother Kenpachiro rigged the short straw game on purpose 'I am a Chūnin not a babysitter with my brothers are Jōnin so that must me they have higher ranks than me' I thought as I watched my little niece knowing she was from the Land of Fire and how she had been harmed by them.

Ran's POV

It was nice of my mom to let me wander my new village now that I can walk properly again and I know my dad sent someone to watch me and make sure I didn't wander too far. Sure, I was used to be left alone for hours no thanks to the Hokage. 'I don't mind this 'watcher'' I thought as I walked around window shopping.

"Time to come home Ran," said a voice. I turned around to see my youngest uncle, Mizuho right behind me. He wasn't as tall of my dad. I approached my uncle and his love looked right at me; her jet-black hair was similar to jet stone. I walked up to them and we walked back home together knowing I have those waiting for me, my mom and dad.

Once I was home dad was not home yet "he's on a mission Ran and in two months you will be attending school" mom said as she served dinner. I didn't have anything to say I was nervous about it because I was not treated like a student but a trouble maker. "Ran I can assure you nothing is going to go wrong and you need to be there. Your father and I have been homeschooling you so you won't be a late starter but you need to be with others" mom explained.

Soon the door opened and locked "she is right little one" dad said as he sat down to help himself to some dinner.

Third POV

Harou and Kumi knew school was not something Ran was looking forward to considering how she had been treated by her last school. "We know Ran but we promise you are going to be fine and the Yamanokage does visit sometimes" Harou said in a reassuring tone. This made Ran feel better and what made Ran feel even better her ex-sensi was followed by her uncle Kenpachiro he had given Iruka a serious warning he would be removed from the village along with the remain Leaf shinobi and relations would be cut for good.

Ran did not want her uncle Kenpachiro to hurt Iruka, sure Iruka was not much better than those who harmed her but she did not want to stoop to his level.
