Charlie watches the scene between Snuffles and 'Remus' play out in bemusement. He tries not to think too hard about what's happening. The conspiracy theory sounded mad at first but Snuffles has always been an unusually intelligent animal.
Charlie's no stranger to intelligent animals. He really isn't. And he genuinely believes that all living things have their own intelligence completely separate from humans, and that dogs are amongst the most empathic species on earth but...there's a seed of doubt.
Wordlessly, he summons the mysterious piece of paper out of Remus' loose grip, and starts in shock when it arrives at his hand.
"This is my family." He says dumbly. "Tonks what is this?"
Tonks reaches out and filches the photo but they look equally bewildered.
"What's your mad cousin got to do with my family?"
They scowl at him, but he doesn't have time for that right now. He raises his wand and begins the movement for the animagus transformation spell but Tonks pulls his arm down.
"Hey, what're you doing?"
"Look at the photo Tonks. He isn't a normal dog, and that's my family. I need to know if they're in danger."
"Sirius -
"I. don't. care. Nymphadora." He uses their name for emphasis, shaking off their hand. "My family could be in danger."
"Neither of you have even tried asking him to transform."
"You want to try diplomacy?" Remus asks incredulously. "He's a terrorist."
