The warning pop of apparition comes only moments after Arthur himself has arrived home. Odd. Visitors are odd at all but this late? Odd.

He's too far away for Arthur to see his face, although he recognises the auror robes wearing and as he gets closer recognises him as Kingsley Shacklebolt. Shacklebolt's always been a friendly enough person the few times Arthur has had cause to speak with him; one of the few aurors who isn't condescending about the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department's relationship with law enforcement. Arthur can't think of any reason for him to be coming to the Burrow. He wonders if it would be too much to take out his wand.

"Arthur." Kingsley nods at him.

"Kingsley." Arthur says back warily. "We weren't expecting you?"

Kingsley replies with a long-suffering sigh. "I wasn't expecting this either I assure you. Is your wife in?"

"Of course. I'll go and fetch her."

Arthur only shoots Kingsley one questioning look before making his way inside, telling Molly of the unexpected visitors and bringing her back out.

Kingsley frowns at them and gives an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry to tell you this with no warning Mrs Weasley but I need you to accompany me to a colleague's home to answer some questions about Sirius Black."

"What?" Molly reacts quicker to this statement than Arthur. "Why would you want to ask me about him? I don't know anything about him! I've never even met him!"

"Apparently that isn't quite true." Kingsley replies calmly, raising up a hand. "I'm not accusing you of anything. I don't know if you recall meeting a certain pet dog belonging to Nymphadora Tonks…"
