My Pov

"Ah, this feels great!" David said. What we were doing at the moment was some material art exercises with Mr. Mime. David was a Tai-Chi operative, so he did this kind of thing regularly. It wasn't just us either. The rest of our sector, Goh, Professor Cerise and his daughter Chloe were doing some too. Although, Chloe seemed really annoyed to be here. That's when Scorbunny ran and accidently kicked Goh's Metapod in the air. The poor thing spun in the air before coming back down and landing on a rock. Followed by a sharp crack noise.

"What..." Bruce said.

"was..." Lenny said.

"that?" Ashley asked.

"I thought I heard a strange noise." Chloe said.

"If I remember, inside a Metapod is-" Goh started before all of us yelled in panic. Goh checked on Metapod, who turned out to be ok. Phew!

"Hey guys!" Ash called. We all turned as our backpacks were thrown at us. Sector V was right behind him.

"What's up?" Constance asked.

"We're going to the Hoenn region!" Hoagie said. The Hoenn region? Well, off we go. While on the plane Ash talked about his time in the Hoenn region, including when he encountered Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Deoxys and Jirachi. It was amazing to hear how he encountered Legendary Pokémon like that. Soon, we arrived in the Hoenn region. It turns out there was some kind of tournament and that was why Ash wanted to come here.

"So, are you guys going to compete?" Ash asked. We all looked at each other.

"We're still new at this Ash. We need a little more time to get use to it." Abby said.

"Speak for yourself! I'm enterin'!" Wally said. Wally had Crabrawler, Chewtle, Rufflet and Grubbin. He had an ok team.

"I'm going to see what other Pokémon I can catch!" I said. I ran off, calling back that I'd be back in time to watch the battle. I went deep into a nearby forest area until I came to a small stream. "Hummy, go ahead a take a drink."

"Vui!" Hummy said. She knelt down and drank. I had caught two Wurmples, but I didn't use either of my Love Balls. I wanted to save them for a Pokémon I was going to keep on my team. Everyone else was like that too. I heard a small splash and looked over. I saw a Pokémon playing in the water and knew I had to catch it.

David's POV

Bruce, Wally, Nigel, Lenny and I had entered the tournament along with Ash and Goh. All of us, but Ash got eliminated in the first round. Well, we hadn't really been training our Pokémon as much, but we learned from this. Goh has gotten upset as he lost his first official Pokémon battle and was opting just to catch Pokémon instead. Ash was getting ready to battle Hodge when both Melody and Goh came back.

"Did we miss anything?" Melody asked.

"No you made it just in time." Constance said. She sat next to me as we watched the match. Hodge was a Trainer from Lavaridge Town we had met earlier who used a Hariyama and Mightyena. Ash lead with Mr. Mime who dodged Force Palm using the martial arts exercises we had done earlier that day, then landed a hit with Focus Punch. Hariyama tried to use Arm Thrust, but was immobilized by Mr. Mime's Reflect. Mr. Mime finished Hariyama by tossing it in the air with Psychic and slamming it back down.

"That was awesome!" Bruce exclaimed. Hodge then sent out Mightyena, who Mr. Mime refused to fight. So Pikachu stepped in. It was a close battle with both sides hitting hard, but Pikachu came out on top and won the match. Ash was given a flute set and we headed back to Vermillion City.

"So, what's with all the Wurmple?" Professor Cerise asked. Along with Melody's two, Goh had caught three.

"What do you both catch more than one?" Chloe asked.

"Well, there's no way to tell if a Wurmple will evolve into Silcoon or Cascoon, so I caught three!" Goh explained.

"Same with me." Melody said. She then looked at Goh. "Hey Goh? If say you end up with the same evolution for all three and I end up with the other, would you want to trade one for the other?"

"Sure!" Goh agreed. That's when Melody took out one of the Love Balls she had.

"Check out what else I caught!" Melody said, throwing it in the air. It opened, releasing a pink light with hearts. When the light faded, a blue Pokémon looked up at us.

"Mud?" it said, tilting its head.

"Whoa! A Mudkip!" Ash exclaimed. I took out my Rotom Phone and pointed it at Mudkip.

"Mudkip, the Mud Fish Pokémon. A Water type. The fin on Mudkip's head acts as highly sensitive radar. Using this fin to sense movements of water and air, this Pokémon can determine what is taking place around it without using its eyes. In water, Mudkip breathes using the gills on its cheeks. If it is faced with a tight situation in battle, this Pokémon will unleash its amazing power—it can crush rocks bigger than itself." it said.

"That's one of the Starter Pokémon from Hoenn!" Professor Cerise said. Melody picked up Mudkip.

"We'll be a team from here on out, right Mudkip?" she asked it responded by spraying her in the face with Water Gun. She was stunned at first before looking at it and smiling. "I'll take that as a yes." We all laughed at the situation and with happiness as Melody had a new member of her team.

David's Pokémon: Ralts, Squirtle, Eevee.

Bruce's Pokémon: Aron, Charmander, Joltik, Eevee.

Ashley's Pokémon: Swablu, Eevee.

Lenny's Pokémon: Weedle, Bulbasaur, Eevee.

Constance's Pokémon: Shuppet, Rookidee, Eevee.

Nigel's Pokémon: Absol, Blipbug, Wishiwashi

Hoagie's Pokémon: Emolga, Skwovet, Klink.

Kuki's Pokémon: Aipom, Morpeko, Caterpie.

Wally's Pokémon: Crabrawler, Chewtle, Rufflet, Grubbin.

Abby's Pokémon: Hatenna, Oddish, Vanillite.

A little Christmas present for the readers and followers of this story. I'll try to have another one up for either this or the KND story tied to this before the year's over. It's been a nightmare this week.
