Chapter 6: Problem to solve.
AN: Well first what I want to say is English is not my native language and this is my first fanfiction and I made it out of boredom.
The next morning
Jaune now wears a normal black T-shirt and his favorite pumpkin peach hoodie over it. And wears a modified steel chest plate that the blacksmith fix from his old armor covering a bit more of his upper abdomen. he wears black gloves with metal plates over his fingers. He wearing his black militia combat pant. He is also equipped with steel shoulder plates and shin protectors. End with his combat boot.
To his right side, there is his family heirloom sword Crocea mors on hip. His left is Iron light the trustworthy hand cannon that he made by himself. On his back is Reach his spear in short form.
From how Jaune dresses he has looked like a normal knight but when he pulled his hood up to cover his head. He has given a vibe like rouge that will do your bidding if you pay him enough.
After Jaune gets many goodbye kisses on his cheek from women in the village and dead glares from men.
Qrow and Jaune walk outside of the village gate and stand under some trees from the forest.
"All right kid before we go. I have something to give you." Qrow search into his pocket pant.
"I thought that you just wander around to work as wannabe huntsman instead of study in primary combat school like Signal Academy or other schools that mean you don't have a guarantee to get into Beacon initiation. But don't worry." Qrow found something and show it to Jaune.
"Take this with you kid. It will help you get into Beacon." Qrow said by holding a piece of paper in his hand presented to Jaune.
Jaune takes a piece of paper from Qrow's hand and reads it out round. "Sent by Qrow Branwen from your truly great and royal friend… and get this kid into beacon or I will dump all your coffee stash into a toilet." After finish reading it. Jaune looking up to Qrow with a deadpan look of 'What the hell is this look.
"Qrow can you explain how is this piece of paper and your message will help me get into huntsman academy?"
"Well, easy you just need to put this together with an application form for a gifted kid that you will be let in to beacon for initiation test. And then they will call me to confirm it and boom they will let you at least going into initiation." Qrow said while wiggling his arm around.
"Wait but I don't have a transcript. My dad told me that I need a transcript to get into huntsman academy." Jaune said with confusion.
"Well, On the thing your dad told you isn't wrong kid. In the past, the only way for you to get into huntsman initiation is to have a transcript conform that you graduate from pre-combat school. But after me and my sister get into Beacon with our fake transcript and become one of the most skilled huntsmen in the whole kingdom have changed their mind a little. By making another way to get into huntsmen initiation is an application for a gifted kid. They will consider a kid with a high level of skill to become huntsmen even if they are not from any pre-combat school." Qrow said with a sage voice.
Jaune's jaw almost drops. He has almost given up his dream when his father said they will only accept him if he has the transcript. He even made a plan to make a fake transcript by himself but it looks like he will not have to worry about it anymore.
"Wow, Qrow thanks you very much." Jaune smiles at Qrow with tears in his eyes. "You are doing too much for me." Jaune tries to hug Qrow.
"Now, can you stop being emotional for a second kid? Why do you always get easy to show your emotion like this?" Qrow put his two hands up and lean away from Jaune.
"I can't help it. You just make me really emotional with all the things you do for me Qrow. You train me and teach me the thing huntsman should know. Even when I make a mistake you did not give up on me." Jaune said with a hiccup. "But I really want to thank you. If it were not for you I don't know any other way than to fake my transcript and get into Beacon. Even if I get in. I will always feel like I don't belong there because I use a wrong way to get in." Jaune said and shed his tears away
Qrow smile and put his hand on Jaune's shoulder. "Then I will say this kid. Even if you get into beacon by a fake transcript? It doesn't matter! Because from a second you pass the initiation of beacon that means you are qualified to become huntsmen in training. And any form of application will doesn't matter anymore."
Jaune just smiles like normally he does. "Well then, the next time we meet I will show you how great a huntsman I can be." Jaune's fist pump up and lay at his heart. "I will make you proud that you accept to teach me and I will not disappoint you. I give you an Arc word and an Arc never-"
"Go back on his word." Qrow finishes the sentence with a smile.
Jaune looks at Qrow with a dumbfounded look. "How do you know my family quotes?"
"Well, Ifs it's not your father that throws the quotes around when he tries to convince people to help him with something or reassure them then I don't know who is that guy! Hahaha," Qrow said and laugh.
Qrow pat Jaune's head. "Like father like son."
Jaune smacks Qrow hand away. And pout.
"Then this is a goodbye then," Jaune said and look at Qrow.
"See you next times kid." Qrow nods and waves his hand. Qrow turns and walks away.
"You know you can turn into a bird in front of me right?" Jaune suddenly said.
Qrow stumbles a little and turns toward Jaune. "What are you talking about?"
"Well, I am not really sure but when I am training and you said you will take care of something there will always be a bird-watching me train until it flew away and you come back. I think you have a semblance that can turn you into an animal" Jaune said with smugness.
Qrow has looked lost in thought on his own for a second.
"Yeah, you got me, kid. I can turn into a bird. You better watch out when a bird is watching you around." Qrow said with a smug face. And then turn himself into a bird and fly away.
Jaune watches Qrow flew away and turn away pull his hood up mutter something about 'cool semblance' and walk to the next village.
While Jaune walking to the next village. With Vento on his shoulder. This cute falcon is always at his shoulder or flying around Jaune.
"Ready to kick ass and take the name, Vento?" Jaune asks Vento that flies above him.
"CHIRP!" Vento land on Jaune's shoulder.
"Right! It's all about you and me girl! We are gonna fight anybody that wants to stop us! From our path to becoming a hero." Jaune said cheerfully.
"CHIRP?"
"I don't know how are we gonna do it but when we are at the city of Vale. We will figure it out together. Ok?"
"CHIRP"
"That my girl!" Jaune smile and pat Vento on her head.
"CHIRP?"
"Oh! About the group that follows us for ten minutes now? Thanks for telling me Vento but I already detect their Aura when there are in my Aura observe the distance." Jaune said then he stops walking.
Jaune turns his head to his right side.
"How long are you guys planning to follow me? Don't be shy I don't bite. You can come out and talk with me here." Jaune makes a come-on gesture with his hand.
Then three persons walking out of the line of the tree to the road Jaune walk. They all dress in rugged black cloth with scarves covering their heads. "Hey, brother what bring you walking around here alone. Are you not afraid of Grimm?" One on the front asks.
"Thanks, for your kindness but you don't have to worry about me. I have travel alone before. And I think I can still manage it this time." Jaune hand lay on the pommel of Crocea Mors.
'Huh, I thought he is a man. Turn out he just a kid.' All three person now thinks more carefully.
"Well, we are just a very kind people and we consider escorting you to the nearest village." the person in the front said while signal with a hand gesture for two persons behind him to get ready.
"Here let me show you the map first." The first person walking to Jaune. At that exact moment, the other two draw their handgun trying to point it at Jaune. But instantly got push out of their hand by some heavy wind bash at their hand both people with a gun get to knock out of their hand down to the ground while their butt immediately got knocked down to the ground too.
"What!?" All the person and Jaune said. All heads now turn to look at falcon on Jaune shoulder with beige color now glow a pale green aura around gem on the head. that just opened its mouth.
"Vento! Why don't you tell me you have your semblance too! Hahaha!" Jaune lifts Vento with his two hands in excited feeling.
"Chirp," Vento said.
"What do you mean you can do that even before I unlock your Aura?" Jaune looks at Vento with confusion.
"Get! Him! And that bird!" after the person in the front get out of stun from Vento display her ability. That person orders the underling immediately.
Jaune and Vento then nod to each other and turn to the group.
Not for long, Jaune beat them up with the help of Vento that assistant him with a ball of wind pressure.
Now it Jaune and Vento look at three people that got beat-up and panting on the ground.
Jaune reaches his hand out and tugs their scarf out of their face.
! "What in the hell is this!" What Jaune see on three men face is scar too many of them. Range from small to big as half their face. Two Faunus and one human. Jaune looks into their eyes and sees only fear now. Fear of what Jaune will do with them. Jaune just reaches out his two hands to two Faunus. Two Faunus bodies began to shake fear of what will happen to them right now.
But what comes next is not expected by any of them two Faunus bodies glow purple and blue. When the glow was gone. They both feel that their body has been healed they no longer feel any pain in their body. They are now fresher and stronger. They both turn to see that the rough knight healing their comrade.
With Jaune finish his healing and now sitting before him is three men.
"Can any of you tell me why you want to rob me and what happens to three of you and your own face?"
The human speaks first. "We are just a miner from Schnee mine in this forest. And what happens to our face is what those Schnee officers in the mine do in their own free time to us. They don't care what you are because then you are in front of them down there you are just their slave, their plaything. You have no right. They will torture you until you dead by their hand or from your own workload in the mine. And what happens to our body is because we can't endure any more! We fight to break free! Many of our people have die enough! My friend, my father, my mother, they all die in those damn hell holes! Even when we break free from that hell. we still can't do anything! We don't have lien we don't have the power to recuse those who are still stuck in the hell hole!" The man now crying and hiccup and sob.
Jaune turn to two faunus. "They do that to you two too?" Jaune ask.
Two Faunus nod. "Even more if you're Faunus. They don't see us as a living being anymore." One of the Faunus says.
In Jaune's head right now is spin with many thoughts. Should he help them? Should he just go and report to the authority? What should he do if he wanted to help them?
Jaune stands and thinks in silence for good five minutes. Three men on the ground can only watch The Rouge Knight standing there in his thought. And then he moves.
"Fuck it!" The knight said and looking up at them. "I will help you three rescue other people in the mines. Can you lead me to them?" The Knight reaches his hand out for them.
Right now, what the three men see is not just a Rogue knight but their savior.
At the front gate of Schnee dust mine, Vale branch Northwest sector. 11:58 AM. Sun is nearly on the head.
There are two guards at each side of the gate left and right.
Two guards just spot a person walking to them. until the said person stops in front of the gate now.
With a close look.
The person looked like a knight with his armor but his hood made him look like a rogue it made his face got.
"Identify yourself! And tell why are you doing in a Schnee property!" one of the guards shouts at the person.
The person said in a deep tone like the voice of a middle-aged man. "I just want to help those people in the mines. Is nothing personal ok? Just like Joe does her works under me all this time really well. And you guy should know how Joe is doing." The person lifting his left hand to them gestures that this is nothing to do with them.
While two-guard just confuse with what the man said. "Joe who-." Something threw by the man in front of them suddenly flying past two guards and smack at the front gate. Two guards just look around and see fire dust but, the shape is not like this it should not be like this. This is!
One of the guard panic and shouts "It a bom-." *BOOM!* the dust firebomb exploded. The pressure threw off two guards toward the person who threw it and stops at his foot. With its power, it easily destroys the door of the front gate of the mine. The gate now has a door no more.
"Joe Mama." The man said in a whisper. Then kick two guards on the ground at their head to make sure that they are indeed knocked out.
The rogue Knight now enters the Schnee wall to meet with Schnee's private army and robot in front of him.
Without any Question ask the Schnee army to open fire at the Rogue knight immediately. A rain of dust around and missile shoot at the Rogue knight. Create a smoke from snow by shooting at him.
When the smoke cleared out of their sight. Only to see a rogue knight hide behind the hard light shield that forms around where he stands. In his hand is a hard light shield.
The Rogue knight then points make finger gun at the Schnee army like he gonna shoot them. He looking at his scroll and smile. He then looks at Schnee's army and said "It high-noon." And make a gun-shooting out gesture. Suddenly from the sky drop a pair of wind dust bombs and electricity dust bombs together at the center of the Schnee army.
*BOOM!* The explosion has made one giant tornado with electricity in it. It also lifts snow into its core make snow flying all over the place. It made any robot that got suck into it got their circuit fries immediately and for any person, they just got either shock and knock out or paralysis. They scream in pain and agony but they will live.
The Rogue knight let his hard light shield down and walking to the mine. He faced the guard in the mine but they are nothing compare to him they either go down in one or two punches or one swing from his sword. The knight walking down the mines to met with the living resident in the mines.
People in the mines all have a scar on their bodies from young to old people. Women or children all got a scar on their bodies. But then the knight kneeling to the kid in front of him and touch his head. In a flash of light. the kid scar is now gone leaving an only healthy normal child. And form there goes on the story of the rogue knight will be one of a tale to their children before they go to sleep.
In a span of one month of misadventure. With Jaune being a leading group of the miner, that escape from the Schnee mines they travel from village to village they help those who want to settle down in the village they go pass even help some village from Grimm hoard with manpower and his skill they are no match. People start to call him a Rogue knight who travels around North Vale to help those in need in his way of doing. Jaune starting to wonder how he ends up like this in a campfire with fifty persons celebrate their freedom and life they sing a song and dance around the campfire all night long. Vento is also there and shakes her wing left and right make other laughs.
When he goes to sleep. He still thinking of his family at night wonder how are they doing now do they still love him or curse him for running away.
Now he, Vento, and fifty persons survive the forest full of Grimm help other villages around the north by themselves and finally arrive at his final town.
In front of them is a town called 'Green sand' said on top of the town gate. And then their guard on the wall spot us a group of fifty they go alert immediately. Of cause, we talk to them. I then told them all about adventure san the rescue on the part of the mines.
Now, this is the last time I will walk to Vale because this town has a train to transport people to Vale from here. So, I will chill out here with Vento until the train came.
"Hey, Boss we gonna go and find a place to crash wanna go with us?" One of my companions asked.
"You guys go on ahead I will look at the train first."
"Ok, boss!"
At the train station.
"Excuse me, can you run me by that again?" Jaune asks the ticket seller with disbelief.
"I said the train will arrive in seven days. Sir." The ticket seller said plainly.
Now Jaune just lowers his head and walks away.
Sitting on the bench. Jaune then put Vento down beside him.
"What should we do now Ven. The train will arrive in seven days. Even if I train every day but what about our free time what are we gonna do?" Jaune said to Vento.
"CHIRP."
"I know we will train every day and drinks with the gang but we must rest too. Aren't you get bored when you just do something again over and over again?"
"CHIRP"
"Of cause, you are a bird you don't bore you live your life with freedom." Jaune's eyes go wide. "Wait but you aren't free anymore because of my soul-bonding with you. Do you hate me?"
"CHIRP!"
"AWWW, you sweet little thing. Come here let me hug you." Jaune smile and hugs Vento. While Vento uses her wing to pat Jaune back.
"Mom, why is that person talk to the bird and hug it?" A child not far away handhold with his mom pointing at Jaune and asking.
"You don't need to meddle with other people's life sweety he dresses like a huntsman maybe he has experienced some very bad and wants to have someone to hold him." His mother said gently.
Jaune hurry let go of Vento and blush a little.
The child now looks at Jaune with sad eyes.
"Then I want will help him! The kid let go of his mother's hand and run to Jaune.
Jaune surprise when the child runs to his bench and hug his leg. Very adorable.
Jaune smile under his hoodie. And pat child head.
"Thanks, you little buddy that helps me a lot. With your hug, I now have the energy to destroy all the Grimm that try to hurt other people!" Jaune then does some exaggerated macho pose. Show his great biceps.
While Jaune and the child play together. The child's mother just walking closer to them.
"Now now, you're already bothered Mr. huntsman enough sweety we should let him rest now."
The mother then nodding her head thankfully at him and hold her child's hand then walk away with him.
Jaune just watches two mothers and sons walk away peacefully and watch his environment of the peaceful village then smile. 'This is why I want to protect them.' Jaune thought.
"Hello? Can I sit here?" A voice from his left side calls to him.
Jaune then turns his head to meet with a girl.
She was a young girl with light tan skin, dusky rose hair, and grey-blue eyes. She wore a red and white hoodie with blue tracksuit pants and a distinctive black beanie that covered her left eye. She also wore a large black scarf and red canvas sneakers. She also has some big cases behind her back.
"Sure! You can have a seat." Jaune hurry said.
'Damn! Why I am always nervous when talking to a girl.' Jaune scolds himself.
The two teens just sat there without talking to each other for a whole minute.
'Well, this is kind of awkward. At least for me.' Jaune thought.
Jaune opens his mouth tries to say something.
"You are the silent type too aren't you?" The girl turned her head speaking to Jaune.
"Ye… yes… sorry," Jaune said sheepishly while rubbing behind his head.
"No no, don't say sorry I am the same as you too don't like to talk much."
The girl smile at Jaune. And Jaune smiles back at her.
"I'm glad to know that brave Rogue Knight is still a man and has a heart like others." The girl said and smile.
"My name is May, May Zedong. I'm from Vacuo. Oscuro Academy and I graduate soon around six months." She offered her hand to me.
"Is I really easy to spot as the rogue knight?" Jaune ask.
"Well, you are the only person around here that wears armor and hood. Not many huntsmen do that much now a day as we go on more casual on cloth because aura always protect us and armor just slow us down." May answer and then wiggle her hand.
Jaune's face red a little and accept her hand. shake it a little.
"My name is Jaune, Jaune Arc. I don't join any primary combat school but I was already ready to fight Grimm. I guess? May I ask why a lovely lady like you comes far from Vacuo to here in this village? if you ok with it?" Jaune asks curiously.
"Oh, I just come to visit my grandmother. She living here because her body is too frail to endure the harsh sand of Vacuo. And now waiting for a train to go to Vale and hop on airship go back to Vacuo. You?"
"I travel from my village set on the northeast of Vale and from there I travel by foot to this town. And now waiting for a train to come here around seven days." Jaune sigh.
"I know the feeling. When I first ask when the train will arrive. I don't want to believe them too. They said it about Grimm and snow
Then Jaune and May continue to talk about themselves and their adventure or how their home is like. They continue to talk little they know that they have been talking for a straight thirty-minute now.
"Wow, you must be very strong to travel like this," May said with praise.
"Well, not really. I always got my buddy here. Her name is Vento." Jaune picks Vento up and shows her to May.
"OH! She is beautiful! Why there is a gem on her head?"
"I don't know when I found her. She already has it."
"She is really beautiful. I start to wonder what her buddy looks like?"
May look up from Vento to Jaune.
'Oh! Yeah, I still have my hood on!' Jaune's facepalm in his mind.
"Haha! sorry, I really forgot about that I still have my hood on." Jaune pulls his hood down.
"Better?" May now can see the full face of Jaune Arc. He has a handsome face has just enough fat on his face to show that he surely trained his body at some level.
Their eyes met. Dark blue eyes and grey-blue eyes look at each other for half a minute and break out of the trance as Vento flies out of Jaune's hand.
They blink together with the heat came up to their face and blush. Both turn away from each other.
'Why I look at him like that! But his eyes are very beautiful. Dark blue like a deep ocean… no stop!' May thought and blush harder.
'Oh, my Oum I am embarrassment myself again.' Jaune facepalm.
Jaune coughs to his hand. "Cough. I suggest if we going to continue our conversation. We should do at some comfortable place than on a bench with snow continue to fall around us." Jaune now looks at May's face again. "Will you go and find some coffee shop with me?" Jaune tries to make his voice as normal as possible.
May just chuckle at Jaune inviting her.
"Are you asking me out, my knight?" May say with a playful voice. Star tingling in her eyes.
"Um yes?" Jaune just said what he thinking is to invite other people to just drink and talk with him.
May cheek red a little "Ok, then take me then." May said. Present her hand to Jaune.
Jaune accepts her hand and pulls her up. Their hand locks together. While Jaune turns around and going to say something.
"Alert! GRIMM INVASION Alert! GRIMM INVASION This is not a drill! Every civilian please goes to the nearest bunker! Repeat please go to your nearest bunker!" The sound comes through everything with a speaker in the town.
Jaune sigh "Never rest for the wicked." Jaune mutter.
May sigh too and let Jaune hand go. "Look like our date must have been postponed, my knight," May said with a playful voice while laying her case from her back down on the bench and pulling out a sniper rifle ax from it.
"Ou our, da date? What do you mean when was I and you agree on that." Jaune stutter.
"AWW don't say like we don't know each other Jaune. You will break my heart you know that?" May make her voice sound like she is in a distress.
"Well, first we just know each other for less than an hour and two are you really want to go on a date with me?"
May look into Jaune's eyes while smile.
"You will know when all of this ends my knight." May use her hand to rub Jaune face a little make Jaune face go even redder.
"But right now? Let the hunts begin!" *BANG* May aim her sniper rifle at a nevermore and shoot it out of the sky.
"Just my luck." Jaune mumble. Draw his sword and gun ready to kill any Grimm in his path.

'Why have a feeling like my boy gonna get laid soon…' Qrow thought.
'I should check on Yang again.' *Rings Rings Rings *
"what up Qrow why do you call me." Yang accepted the call and says.
"Oh, it's nothing firecracker just want to check on my second favorite niece that if she is still alive and not die from Beowolf cub yet," Qrow said playfully.
"Qrow first off I am your favorite niece and two beowolf cubs are not true it's bullshitting and three if you just want to call me to troll me next time we met I will spike your drinks again.
"This is why you are my second." Qrow mutter
"You say something!?" Yang's voice growls out from the scroll.
"No, no nothing firecracker I just want to warn you about some blonde hair male teenage boy gonna be your problem. Qrow hurry said.
"And why is that?" Yang said.
"This guy wanted to have his way with Ruby…" Qrow whispers to his scroll.
Qrow can clearly hear from the other side of the call right now decent fully into chaos because Yang roar gave an impression of a demon.
"WHO. IS. THIS. GUY!" Yang's voice right now sounds like a demon crawl out from hell.
"Now now easy Yang calm down he is still not in Vale yet but soon he will come I just call to you to warn about him and that it," Qrow said.
"Tell me his name!" Yang shout.
"Sorry firecracker but that is all I got. Just remember he has blonde hair." Qrow then hangs up the call.
'I hope that my warning will help you, Yang.' Qrow praying right now.
Right now on the patch island, there is some house that almost gets burned down that day.
