Chapter 10: You and me.
The sun rises in the morning. May stir from sleep. She yawns and tries to stretch. But something is entwining with her right now. She rolls her body around to see what is holding her from doing so. Her face collided with a chest. Looking up from it, she sees her sleeping boyfriend's face. His arm scoops her close to his body for both her and his warmth.
May smile at the sight. Laugh in her mind. Who would have guessed that two people who had only met for the first time in less than a day would fall in love so quickly and spend so much time together?
They spent almost all of their time together in the days that followed. May remember what they've done together with a smile. At first, it was awkward. It was their first date, and neither of them had ever been in a relationship before. They often make mistakes on the first and second days. On the third day, however, it comes naturally. She wasn't sure if it was because they were getting to know each other or because they were getting better at this girlfriend and boyfriend thing.
But, oh, if Jaune isn't a great lover, she has no idea who is. Even if he denies it, he isn't very good at interacting with girls. But once you've got him to do so. His confidence grows as he shows how much of a lover he can be; he is nothing more than a romantic love-stuck boy. Her boy.
They go out to eat and walk together. Anyone would do for a normal date. This advice came from Jaune's mother, according to Jaune.
Seven days. One week. Such a small amount of time for their love is still young.
It's only a matter of time before they leave. Sadly. After these seven days, she must return to Vacuo, while he travels to Vale. They have to talk about it, and they may even fight about it. Jaune begged her to let him join her to Vacuo or she would follow him to Vale. Either option is a death sentence for them both. She had explained to him that in Vacuo, he must be strong to survive. If she goes to Vale with him. Her mother will surely hunt them down by herself to the end of the remnant.
And that even if he manages to survive with his explosive trick or semblance, he is still just a young awaken aura user. It's only been a month. He is fragile. For the time being. May has a feeling he'll be powerful in the future. Based on what he displays to her. But, for the time being, only time will allow him to grow stronger.
May's hand reaches up to brush Jaune's hair back, allowing her to see his face clearly, and lovingly caresses her lover's face.
She once had a dream. To grow, fall in love, and spend time with the person she loves. When she began training to fight her mother, that dream died a long time ago. There is no space for love in a conflict and the struggle for one's survival. In the land of sand. If you are not prepared to face it, nothing but death awaits you.
"Sigh." Even though the moment comes. For her to fall in love. But only for a short time.
"What gives you such a gloomy face on a morning like this?"
Jaune smiled at her. That smile. That damn smile. That always made her happy and bothered. And a lot of other girls. That she must use her sniper rifle to beat them off. In his hooded knight suit, he always hides his face, but after the day they fight Grimm, he no longer does so. He simply threw off his clothing as if it were on fire. And this causes him to showcase his attractive boyish face to her and every other woman who begins to notice him when they go out for a walk together. But he's so pure that he has no idea he's attractive. Even when she invited him to spend the night in her room. He didn't do anything she expected men and women to do while alone together. They've only slept together for three days. Fully clothed. But she thinks it's one of his charms. And she appreciates this side of him.
"I was just thinking about something."
"Excuses will get you nowhere, princess," Jaune observed with a sly grin.
"Gasp! "Is my knight doubting my word?" This is heresy! After breakfast, I'll have your head." May said dramatically.
Jaune only sighs and rolls his eyes. And lean in closer to kiss her lips. For her, his kisses are always warm and full of life.

After a bath and breakfast, they both go for a walk in the woods.
"You are aware that I spent a month in the wilderness, right?" Jaune question.
"Yep."
"So, why are you dragging me back to it?"
"Well, you always curious about my semblance. that I've promised to show you, and I want it to be our little secret, so?" May look up to him. Dress in a white hoodie and jeans with normal shoes. Holding hands side by side.
"So, you're taking me out of town so no one sees it?"
"Yes! Jaune, you get a perfect score!" May yank him down and leap up to kiss him on the cheek.
Jaune flushes slightly. "I'm not stupid, you know, but couldn't you just tell me what your semblance can do?"
"Of course, I can, but what fun would that be?" May whip sniper from behind her back and hold it in her palm, ready to fight.
"Now answer to me. Will you choose to be the hunter or the hunted?"
"I'm sure, I'm not going to enjoy this idea of yours," Jaune sighed.

Jaune examines his scroll. "3... 2... 1... it began." He stowed his scroll and began heading toward the forest.
'Simple rule: you must hunt me, and whoever is the first to say give up or has an aura with less than 20% is the first to lose!' All Jaune can do is sigh. He has no idea why they are fighting or what the winner will receive, but he is doing it nonetheless since she said so. treat them with love Always treat women with respect, Jaune. He can hear what his mother is saying to him right now.
He was lost in thought while walking about looking for his girlfriend. Consider this relationship. Qrow congratulates him on finding a girlfriend. Even if what he says isn't much, he's supportive. 'You're just two horny teens who consider one other as attractive and want to bang.' So go ahead and bang Jaune, there's nothing wrong with that.' He claimed that was normal. It's normal for two people to fall in love so quickly.
However, he also stated that it is typical for people to seek comfort in one another after being in a near-death encounter, such as fighting titan Grimm. When they see that thing, they usually accept it as a death sentence, but who knows? They can be saved by a boy and a bird. It is simple. Life is short, and you don't know if you'll live to see tomorrow because dead can appear at any time if you turn your head away. So just beat it. Life, like your love, is short. But it loves nonetheless. So make the most of it.' Following that, Qrow flew back to Vale. 'Because he has work to do not like you, hormone teenager.' Qrow remarked.
His aura immediately erupts within him, causing him to feel the need to duck down. As a reaction, he does so. Only a second later, a bullet flew past him, striking a tree and piercing it with a baseball-sized hole.
"That's where she is. Good." By channeling aura into his leg, Jaune begins sprinting at a fast pace. Jaune seeks protection by running between a tree and a boulder. Jaune stops at a tree to recover and plan a little. Something slammed the back of Jaune's skull, causing him to bounce and roll on the ground. Jaune looks up to see that the tree he had been hiding behind had a hole in it, allowing him to see back to May, who had sniped him on the peak of the hill. So Jaune starts running again, but this time she always knows where he goes and shoots every chance. when he hides behind cover or slows down a little.
If this continues, I'll be out in no time. Jaune's aura was fifty percent when he looked down at his scroll. It's time to seek some help

"Jaune, where do you think you're going?" May aim with her sniper weapon at her boyfriend. And then another round is fired. Miss him by an inch. "If you're going to run this fast, I should call you bunny instead of a knight." Jaune takes a pebble from the ground. Enchant his arm with aura and throw it at May. with amazing accuracy. May was forced to dodge and lose sight of Jaune as a result of this action. "Where has he gone?" May exclaim. Looking around by her scope, she sees no sign of Jaune.
Reload the magazine and take another look, but this time a blow of wind hit her from the right side, causing her body to bounce off the ground. "What?" she couldn't quite say. Then, from above, a hail of wind ball size gale descended on her.
"Vento! Do you think it's okay for you and Jaune to gang up on me like this?" With a cheek puff, May expressed her anger.
The bird just responds with a chirp and fires another load of wind.
May and Vento begin shooting at each other and dodge each other bullets.
"Let's see if you can avoid this!" May throw raw lighting dust into the sky toward Vento's direction. Vento noticed this and attempted to flee, but it was too late. May shoot at the dust. They explode, causing lighting to spread throughout the air. Vento was shocked, and she was knocked down as a result. May rushes up to Vento and lunges at her. Vento recovers from the shock and attempts to escape May. but it is too late. "I've got you now! Guess who's cooking the chicken tonight!" May triumphantly rise and hold Vento in both hands.
May not sure how, but the bird in her palm begins to give her a smug expression.
"What's up with that look, Vento?"
"It means you're already lost, May," Jaune whispered beside her ear.
"Wha-" May reacts just for her to turn her face to the side. Jaune's arm wraps around her from behind and pulls her down to the ground. He's sitting on top of her. Lock her hands with his and pin her on the ground. His face is formed by strong expressions. And she had no choice but to say it. It's extremely hot.
"I hope you had your fun, cause running around like headless chicken is not fun at all for me."
Jaune leans his face closer to her.
"You have two options: I throw you around until your Aura is low, or you give up now and I will give you a kiss," Jaune said, smiling.
May sulk and pout a little. "I'm done, now give me that kiss." May, who was still pouting, added, "It better be good or I'm angry!"
Vento huffs and rolls her eyes. Enough of this love bird nonsense, and fly away.
Jaune lowers his head and kisses her on the lips. Close her eyes so she can focus on him.
May lost in ecstasy. His kiss just gets better and better the more time they spend together. Until Jaune does something. May take her head back away from Jaune. "Wait! "Did you just use your tongue?" May covered her lips with her fingers, her face as red as a tomato.
"Do you hate it?" Jaune frowns and looks to be worried.
"No! It's only new to me. It's just unusual to me."
Raise one eyebrow.
"Is it no, or yes?" Jaune asks.
"It's not that I dislike it, but-" Jaune uses his hand to turn her face and kiss him once more. His tongue took over her mouth. May's arm is wrapped around his neck, with one hand behind his head.
May can only moan into Jaune's mouth and feel her body heat up. lost in enjoyment.
Jaune moved from a kiss for both of them to gasp for air. Their breath becomes hotter as their body heats up.
He then lay down on his back. down next to May
"How come you're now acting aggressively? After spending so much time together?" May rests against his chest, his chin resting on top of her head.
"Well, if you've ever been hit by a sniper bullet, you'll know it's not fun, it hurts, and, to be honest, it gets you angry." And it makes me want to act."
'Maybe I might fire my rifle a little more at you...'
They both lie down for a time. Lay calmly beside one other, allowing time to pass. Cooling their body and their mind.
"So... what exactly is your semblance?" Jaune asks slowly.
"Are you aware that you have an obsession with aura?" With a sly smile, May turns her gaze to Jaune.
"May, a man can have a passion or two. And Aura is quite important! Especially in our own lives. Consider the one factor that causes humanity to get through Grimm and into the modern-day. And we're all sleeping on its potential!"
"I know, I know, sheesh. Okay, here's what my semblance can do, and it's a boring thing."
"And what about it?"
"My semblance gave me the ability to see through anything with my eye," May explained pointing at her eye. Looking to her side, Jaune's expression froze. He appeared to be engrossed in his thoughts.
"Jaune? Jaune, "Can you hear what I'm saying?" May, shake Jaune a little.
Jaune's face slowly unfroze and turned excited as the gears in his head began to move.
"May! That is incredible! How much of your aura is being drained!? How exactly does it work? Is it true that you can see through everything!? How long can you keep using it? Is there any risk of side effects!? No! "No, don't speak yet though!" His hand is moved behind his back. "How many fingers am I holding up."
"Now, Jaune, do not tempt your girlfriend."
"You can't do that, girl, cool." Jaune challenges her and raises three fingers.
May takes a sigh. "Three." Jaune changes the number he is holding. "two, four, nine, six, eight, one,"
"Wow." This amazes Jaune. "All right, last one." Jaune's hand jerks slightly. then raise seven fingers "All right, how many now?"
May respond with a deadpan expression to Jaune. "Seven."
Jaune is holding two fingers down. Then he shows May his five fingers. "Hah!"
May punch Jaune's face. "You cheat! To my face, Jaune. I see everything that you do! You hold your two fingers down!" May pout and continue punching Jaune, who is laughing himself funny.
"I'm sorry, I can't stop myself from doing that." Jaune is still laughing.
They wait for Jaune to calm down.
"It a wonderful semblance, May."
"It's not even a cool semblance, and it put me through hell as a child when I unlocked my aura for a year." Then it appears unexpectedly while I'm training with my mother. I can't control it at first, and everything looks to be confusing to me. "I have no idea what is in front of me or how far and close I am to an object." May become gloomy.
"But, after you practice and control it, it's awesome, right?" Jaune asks positively.
May snap head to Jaune. "Do you know how long I have to watch my mum naked before I can control it!" I can't sleep since I can see everything even when I close my eyes."
After a brief rant, May. pant. And Jaune burst out laughing.
"It's not funny!" May snap at Jaune. "I apologize once more. But, oh my side, I can't." Jaune calms a little by hugging his side.
"All right, now I'll ask you a favor, May," Jaune stated.
May's hand reaches out to touch Jaune's hand.
"I'll do everything for you if I can," May replied.
"May, Can I have a look at your aura?"
May puzzled by Jaune's question. "Of course, you can," she says.
"Really!? Can we do that right now? I promise it will be quick." Jaune hurries to sit up. "You're free to lie down." So, uh, ahem!" Jaune coughs into his hand. "Do you trust me?"
"With every cell in my body," May replied, trusting in Jaune.
"Let's get started." Jaune raises his hand above May's chest. While his hand begins to pull up, a ball of light emerges from May's chest. Follow his hand and connect it to her body in some way. When it was fully extended, Jaune drew his hand back to his side and let the ball float above May's chest.
"Isn't it beautiful?" A magnificent ball of light floats above May's chest, shining with how pure and full of life it is.
"Wow," May exclaimed. "What exactly is it, Jaune?" She gave a nod at the ball above her chest.
"Oh, this is your aura core, as everyone refers to them. It's basically your soul." Jaune responds.
"Oh, it's just my soul, huh?" May nod with understanding. And she snaps her head back to Jaune. "Wait, what?!" JAUNE WHY ARE YOU PULLING MY SOUL OUT LIKE THIS? PUT IT BACK!" In a panic, May cries to Jaune.
"Don't worry about it, there's nothing to worry about." I will not do this to someone until I am absolutely certain it is completely safe. Do you see those lines that attach to your soul? That means you're still connected to your soul." While trying to soothe May, Jaune explains.
"How can you be so certain that this thing is working?" Still, panic May shout back at Jaune.
"Well, if it's not working, you should be out by now and sleeping for three to four hours." Jaune's response rubbed at the back of his head a little.
Something clicked in May's head at that point. "Wait! Is that why you slept all morning yesterday?" May ask.
...
"Yes?"
May groan. "Oh, the brothers, I can't believe it! You're a moron! Like this, you're putting your soul to the test! It's extremely dangerous, Jaune! Nobody should toy with their soul in this way." May said in a worried tone.
"I appreciate your concern, May. But I have this. This isn't the first time I've done anything like this. I've been doing this for about a month. But, thanks to Velvet, I've figured it out!" Jaune exclaimed with glee.
"Had she been assisting you with this?" May face sadden a little. "You believe she can help you with this?"
Jaune senses May's distress and begins to panic. "It has absolutely nothing to do with trust, May," I swear to you. "I only need her to help me with my semblance!" Jaune responds quickly.
"What can her semblance do?" May inquire.
Jaune does not say anything. He reached out with both hands for her Aura core. Then he separated his hands. Her aura core expanded to cover both of them. It's as if they're all in a big bubble together. And there are some strange lines, almost like words, floating around them. Even so, it is as beautiful as a small star. " Photographic Memory is her semblance. " Her semblance allows her to imitate people's movements, including fighting techniques. But it's all about fighting. That isn't going to grab my attention."
"ah-hah?" And what did her semblance have to do with it?" May ask. Everything around here is still fascinating to her. "This is what your Aura core looks like inside. " Is this how it looks? Amazing! " And what are those that float around us, that also looks to be pretty?"
"This?" Jaune reaches out and snatches the tiny thing. "This is a piece of your Aura. I like to think of it as a code. As if it were in a program. This little thing is also a code, and your Aura is a large program that is run by this many codes. But I refer to them as runes." Jaune makes a gesture toward the runes that surround them.
Jaune then makes a pulling motion with his hand. Everything shifts as a result. Until he comes to a halt and everything stops. Right in front of them is a rune that does not look similar to the other runes that are floating around them. This one appears to be unique. Its color shines brighter than the others, like the sun among the stars.
"This is the rune of your semblance." Jaune takes it in his hand. He closed his eyelids. She notices Jaune begin to pour his Aura into it. In a flash, his hand glows with white light. He opens his eyes and lets go of the rune.
Floating to the same spot where it will remain.
Jaune joins his hands to make a hand gesture. Her Aura core shrank as a result. the same ball of light above her chest Jaune placed his hand above it and slowly pushed it into her body.
May now is relieved. "Whew, that was an experience." "What's next?" stands in front of him.
"You show me you, and now I'll show you mine." Jaune then repeats the gesture. Pull his Aura core from his chest, and it engulfs both of them. Allow her to see everything inside.
"Wait, why is your core larger than mine?" "How come you have so many runes?" May ask gesture to now a dorm of a bubble. And there are so many Runes around them that there is almost no room for them to stand.
"Simpler, larger aura. And I might be a little too fond of tinkering with my Aura. He-he." He rubbed his neck.
"But now let's get down to business." Jaune directs them toward the location of his semblance rune.
"This is Enhanced Memory Semblance!" The rune is pointed out by Jaune. "With this Rune. Now I can remember large amounts of information in greater depth and for far longer periods of time than the average person; I can read books, listen to song lyrics, meet people, or attend events and recall a large portion of the intricacies of my experience." Furthermore, it takes less work to retain the material I encounter, and I can remember it for longer periods of time without strain." Jaune spoke up without pausing.
"Wow, how did you come up with something like this?" May ask him.
Jaune raises both of his hands, pouring his Aura onto them and creating a Rune in each.
"Velvet semblance is in my left hand; as I previously stated, her semblance can only mimic people." So, this is where Yatsu's resemblance comes in." Jaune extends his right hand. "With his semblance. He has the ability to erase other people's memories anytime he wants." Jaune clasps his hands together. And his hand begins to glow once more. "Combine the semblances of Velvet and Yatsu with my own semblance." And the result of both of them." After that, there was a flash of white light. He opened his hand to reveal a rune that mirrored the one floating in the air.
"It's yours now," he said as he pushed it toward her. Enter her body and her aura. It's nice and warm.
"Are you sure you want to give me this?"
"I'm sure because you've already given me yours." With a flash of light, Jaune holds his hand. Her Rune is in his grasp. He just let it go. Floating around them like other Runes. Jaune then closes down his Aura core.
They both stand silently. Both look each other in the eyes. Smiling.
"Does that mean I'll always be with you?" May ask him.
"Yes, May, you will always be with me wherever I go. And I will always be there for you."
May leaps onto Jaune and embraces him.
Jaune pauses for a moment before responding.
"This is the last night we'll spend together." Jaune's gaze shifts away from her and toward something else. Darting from one place to the next. "Would you like to make it a special night with me?" Jaune finally said it, his face flushed.
When May realizes what Jaune means. Her face also turned bright red.
She reaches out to touch his face, making sure that he is looking at her.
"I do want to make our night special," she said.
They both look into each other eyes knowing that tonight will be special for both of them.
This chapter goes into great detail about my Aura and what Jaune does with it.
In Cannon. I didn't see anyone paying much attention to Aura, despite the fact that it was the only reason they survived Grimm for so long. That's why I like to use it in my story.
And what about Jaune's interest in Aura? Jaune in cannon knows nothing about it, and even after unlocking his aura, he just rolls with it like it's nothing. "Oh, I've obtained a superpower?" Ok." And then not be interested in it for the next eight seasons.
That's when it dawned on me. Wouldn't it be interesting if someone who knew nothing about aura became a master of it? So I present to you "AURA GEEK JAUNE." In the same way that Ruby is a weapon geek. So he's an Aura nerd. Really, Aura is underrated, and no one wants to talk about it.
For me, the only people in the canon who appear to know a lot about Aura are Ozpin, Glynda, and Ren.
