AN: Hello to all my devoted fans! At this point and time I do believe that this story is different from the ONLY... other fanfic that I wrote and has a lot of potential.
Thank you StrFri for the slash fix, I do like the idea of a female demigod that knows MMA. Much like my OC, they are both skilled in the art of combat. Your OC sounds like a scalpel whereas my OC is more of a sledgehammer. That would certainly make for an interesting dynamic. I would like more ideas like this, Im open to anything except gay stuff cause my boy Henry Bragg is not gay.
If you do have a suggestion or you want me to know what you think about my story or OC leave a review. I do read them all, as of right now there is not much to read.
By the way nobody asked but Percy Jackson will exist in this fic. It does start out with the lightning thief and Clarisse is also sixteen.
I don't own anything except for my OC, ery'thing else is Uncle Rick's.
Anyway let us get on with the juicy plot.
"Yes ma'am!" I responded curtly.
Before Clarisse and I embarked I snagged my gory trophy off the table and shoved them in my back pocket.
Clarisse led me down the hill away from the huge house with the deck. The sun was starting to fall, if I were to guess what time it was it would be seven o'clock in the evening. The temperature was starting to drop and my clothes were torn up. My jeans were ripped not very stylishly, as if they were just hanging off the belt like tassels, my ripped legs on display for the entire camp to see. My shirt was ripped apart, just resting on my large muscular frame.
"That's the big house, it's the biggest house at camp." She explained simply.
"Well I could have figured that out…" I mumbled to her.
"Dude you're like, covered in ichor, let's get you to the bathroom and clean you up." Clarisse observed, staring me up and down, and up and down… up and down. I feel like Clarisse is attracted to me for some reason.
"What's ichor?" I asked.
"It's the blood of immortals, all the monsters you run into will bleed it like glitter from an open jar." She stated.
On the way to the bathrooms we passed by a strawberry field and a beach volleyball court. There was a group of girls just laying down on the sand in very tiny bikinis that left little to the imagination, as if they would die if they didn't show enough skin. We passed by them and I felt all of their eyes burning a hole through my ass, which was on display thanks to that fucking cow.
"Please don't be my brother, please don't be my brother." I heard Clarisse whispering to herself over and over. Is she referring to me?
"What are you muttering about?" I asked suddenly, snapping her out of her thoughts abruptly.
"Oh uh nothing. Say... did you kill anything before you got to camp Henry?" She answered with a question.
"A Cyclops, whatever the hell that thing is." I answered back.
We continued walking as an awkward silence fell over us. I could see the bathroom Clarisse mentioned, it wasn't that big, A rectangular cement building that felt out of place among all the wood cabins. One side for the girls and one for the boys. It sat on a steep hill that we began to climb.
"How did you kill it?" She asked with baited breath, like my answer would decide her future.
"With my bare hands, why?" I responded nonchalantly.
"Shit." She muttered quietly.
"What?" I asked seriously
"You might be my… brother, what's going on over here?" She said quickly as she looked at a teenage boy and girl in front of the boys bathroom at the base of the hill.
"Excuse me, what did you say?" I asked kind of frantically.
I 'might' have a sister? I'm happy but also confused at the same time. What did killing Mr. Nostrand have to do with me being Clarisse's brother? Was it how I killed him? How else was I supposed to kill him? I didn't have a gun, and I'm pretty sure I caused more damage than a gun ever could anyways.
"What the hell does that mean, um… sis." I asked as she changed course from the bathrooms to the teenagers.
"I'll explain later, I think I have another new camper I have to initiate." She said over her shoulder at me casually.
"Oh moving along fast I see." I threw back at her.
The boy she was approaching was about an inch taller than her with a dark haired bowl cut and an athletic build, he must be like fourteen or was holding what looked to be a black bull horn. The girl is what you could call a stereotypical California girl, tan skin blonde hair and a good face. Clarisse was approaching them quickly, clearly intent on something. I decided to follow her and see what was going on, she was my sister supposedly, who said I wasn't a protective brother.
"Hey newbie! Hey Annie!" She said both like they were vile in her mouth.
I noticed 'Annie' rolled her eyes as soon as she heard Clarisse call out to them, like she was in for a beating or something. 'Annie' leaned over and whispered into 'Newbie's' ear, the boy suddenly got a very annoyed look on his face. I was about thirty feet behind Clarisse when she got to them.
"My name is Percy." The boy stated in an annoyed tone.
"Yeah yeah whatever Prissy." Clarisse dismissed in a semi excited tone.
She backhanded him in the face hard and dragged him up the hill into the girls room, Percy didn't really put up a fight as his feet dragged on the ground behind him. The bulls horn still held tight in his grasp.
"Hey Annie, what is she doing?" I asked the blondie.
"My name's Annabeth, and she's initiating him." She responded without looking at me.
"Why didn't she initiate me?" I asked nobody in particular.
"Probably because she weighs as much as just one of your legs, I didn't catch your name by the way." I heard her say to me.
I looked at Annabeth to find that her full attention was on me, or my legs rather.
"Hey hey," I said snapping my fingers in front of her face, "my eyes are up here Annie."
She quickly blinked and glanced up at me dazed.
"I'm Henry." I stated.
"Hi." She responded
"Uh-huh." I vocalized.
Just then the door blew off the girls bathroom, a wave of water rushed out of the building carrying an unconscious Clarisse. The water carried her limp body down the hill only to come to an abrupt halt at my feet, the water flowing past my feet and down the hill. I stared at her up-tight facial expression as it slowly changed to a dazed and confused one as she regained consciousness.
'Oohs' and 'Aahs' could be heard from the group of onlookers that were starting to gather around Annabeth, Clarisse, and I. They were very surprised that Clarisse, who might be a bully, just got knocked on her ass by a new camper.
"...Henry…" She whispered to my towering form from her prone state, a hand reaching out to me.
"Uh, hey… sis, what's up." I asked with genuine concern as I squatted down to her level.
"As my brother *cough* it's your duty to beat the shit out of that prissy new camper." She spoke weakly.
"What did he do to you?" I asked softly, a concerning and understanding smile adorned my face.
"I don't know, I don't remember much. But, by knocking me out that fucking loser has put the entire Ares cabin to shame." She uttered gravely and quietly.
"...What... the fuck are you talking about right now?" I asked her while maintaining the same understanding smile. My rage exploding through my body at the sight of my alleged sister lying on the ground at my feet.
The crowd of potential witnesses were growing ever bigger, they were looking at Clarisse with some twisted sense of justice. While they were looking at me with fear and some admiration because of my current ragged appearance.
"I want you to punch him as hard as you can in his stupid face, can you do that for me Henry? *cough* Can you restore our pride as tough badasses and do this for me?" She continued on as if she didn't hear me. A tired smile grew from the edges of her mouth as she coughed up drops of water.
"Clarisse, I could actually kill him if I did that. I'm a lot stronger than I look ya know. If it glitters and sparkles with the uh… Ares cabin... could I just break his jaw?" I asked the waterlogged teen, half serious and half concerned about her.
"It does, in fact, glitter and sparkle with the Ares cabin. Just don't kill him, we aren't murderers ya know. So if you have them, no weapons." She requested of me.
"Sure thing Clarisse, you don't have to worry about a thing. Now sleep." I responded.
The smile on her face faded as she lost consciousness once again. I've never had a sister before, women do not tend to try and be my friend, they would rather be flirty and try to get in my pants. Clarisse is the only girl who has taken a personal interest in being my friend. So with that, Clarisse is now under my protection, meaning any harm done to her will be taken personally by me. So, I'll do the brotherly thing and beat the shit out of that Percy character for laying hands on her.
I turned to Annabeth who was watching the scene unfold with great interest.
"Hey Annie, I need you to make sure that nobody touches her while I beat the shit out of that jabroni." I demanded of her as I pointed to the surprisingly dry form of Percy who had emerged from the bathroom while we were talking.
"Henry, I don't think that's a good Idea, I mean she probably deserved it. She was also being pretty dramatic, I mean is this really- " She said.
I shot her a murderous look that would make most people crap their pants, it shut her up.
"Hold my balls." I stated to her as I handed them over. I didn't want to damage them in case I ran into that Minotaur again.
"I'll be back." I vocalized as I stormed up the hill in Percy's direction.
"He's the fucking terminator, I swear." I heard Annabeth say under her breath.
I marched up the hill with my fists clenched and my head clouded by thoughts of violence. Not the healthiest mindset, but when you are trying to beat the heavyweight champion of the world, it certainly helps out.
I looked at Percy's lips, they were moving but I couldn't hear what they were saying. My vision became red as I got more and more mad. The horn he had carried in his hand was unintentionally dropped out of fear and dread of my approaching figure.
When I was within arms reach of him, I took hold of his shirt with my left arm and lifted him off the ground, my rage fueling my strength. I kicked open the door to the boys restroom because I don't want to go in the girls restroom. Not because the floor was wet, but because it was the girls room and I have standards. I shoved him against the wall with force that I didn't know I possessed and the tiles on the wall cracked.
"What did you do to her?" I questioned carefully.
"Um Uh, I-I don't know?!" Percy stuttered out.
"Don't play dumb with me man. Clarisse got knocked out, you think she did that herself? Huh?" I interrogated him.
Percy's eyes rolled to the back of his head, and I heard the sound of metal groaning under pressure. I slapped him across the face and the sound stopped.
"What are you trying to pull, tough guy?" I asked him not seriously.
"N-Nothing man I swear!" He begged me.
My grip on his shirt tightened.
"I'm supposed to break your jaw now." I said in a deep and menacing voice.
His eyes bugged out of his head and his mouth dropped open. He then began straining against my grip, kicking his legs out and trying to pry my hand off him so he can escape, to no avail.
"Please man I didn't mean to, I swear." He explained frantically.
I don't watch a lot of movies, only the ones that my stepdad gets for me. He just happens to be a huge fan of Batman and his whole dark knight thing he has going for him. He made me watch Batman Begins at least twenty times. So I saw the opportunity and seized it.
"SWEAR TO ME!" I yelled in my best grovely Batman impression.
I threw a right hook that snapped his head to the left and he fell into unconsciousness. I felt his face to verify that I indeed broke the intended bone. My fingers ran along his jaw and I felt many sharp bumps. I guess I went a little too far and shattered it… whoopsies. Blood poured out of his mouth like a faucet
I heard what sounded like small rocks dropping onto the floor and looked down. Three teeth had fallen out of his open mouth. Ok, I might have gone a little overboard with this. I put him on the ground and checked his pulse, you can imagine my relief when I found it. Ah, so he is alive and well. Well, he's not well, he's just alive so that's that.
I realized that Clarisse took me to the bathroom to wash up. I went up to the sink and I first washed my hands of the red and yellow coagulated blood. Then I splashed my face with water and looked at my reflection. At first glance, my eyes were full of fire and my face was bared like I was trying to scare the biggest man in the world. Above my head was a red holographic circle with a warthog in the center. I blinked and my reflection returned to normal, that was... weird.
I left the bathroom feeling that I had sufficiently regained the reputation of the Ares cabin as badasses. I ran down the hill to where Clarisse lay.
"Just let me take her to the infirmary at least, he can meet her there." I heard a guy say.
"Trust me you do not want to take her to the infirmary, I honestly don't know what he'll do to me if I let you take her." I heard Annabeth say.
"Shut up you stupid Apollo camper! My brother Henry is coming back and I don't think you want to piss him off, He is huge!" Clarisse loudly proclaimed.
When I heard the words: My Brother, It made me so happy to hear her say that. To think I killed my teacher and gained a sister in the same day was honestly mind boggling enough. But I'm actually half god on top of all that.
I pushed my way through the crowd to find Clarisse leaning on Annabeth's shoulder swaying around like she was drunk.
"I hope you don't mind but I fed her some ambrosia." Annabeth said to me with a nervous tone.
"What is… you know what, I'll ask Clarisse about it later." I said as I glanced down at her only to find that she had disappeared.
I felt someone jump on my back and wrap their arms and legs around me.
"Henry! Bro, Annie gave me that goodie goodie, that good shit you know what im talking about bro?!" Clarisse exclaimed as she clung to me like her life depended on it.
"Clarisse, where is the uh… Ares cabin?" I asked.
"That way!" She yelled in my ear while she pointed in the direction of a bunch of cabins.
"Alright lets see whose home I guess." I said over my shoulder as I slipped my hands under her knees and started walking in that direction.
"Yes, time to introduce you to the rest of the family!" She whispered excitedly.
"The rest of them?" I said curiously.
"Yeah you got two other brothers and a sister Henry, actually a couple of them…" She trailed off as I could feel her head turn and look behind us.
"...Yup, they are following us! Wow that's all of 'em." She finished.
"All of my siblings?" I asked Clarisse, surprise evident in my voice as my body turned quickly.
I saw my supposed siblings walking closely behind us in a V formation, like we were in some sort of protective unit. I didn't even know they were there, which was impressive because I always had a general read on my environment.
There were two boys and a girl just like Clarisse said. The boys took up the rear and the girl took the front as she was the closest to me.
"Henry, meet your family! There's Ellis and Mark in the back and Macy in the front." She introduced with much more enthusiasm than she had previously displayed up until now as she pointed out each of them while still attached to my back.
On the left was Ellis, He had light brown hair and a strong jaw, one that you knew would be hard to score a knock out on. He looked like he was six foot one inches tall and he had the athletic build of a buff basketball player. On the right was Mark and he had dark brown hair with a rectangular face with a drawn out brow. His face forever resting on a serious expression, like he was always trying to figure you out or melt you with his laser vision. He was about six foot tall and built like a powerlifter. Macy was the shortest of the siblings, she is about four inches shorter than Clarisse is and has an agile and athletic frame. She looked like the poster child for some sort of exercise that would get you the perfect ass, but could also cut your head off if she wanted to. Her facial expression was a bit softer than the others but she still looks very serious.
All of them had brown hair and dark brown eyes like me and looked like they trained their whole lives for some war. Even now they were wearing leather armor and had weapons strapped to them. The most off putting thing about all of them was that they all had large toothy grins from ear to ear.
"Hi... I'm Henry." I introduced myself to them nervously.
"We know who you are Henry!" Said both Ellis and Mark at the same time.
Macy extended her hands cupped together towards me, and in her hands were the large bull testicles.
"I took this off of Annabeth when you left with Larry, it's a pretty epic spoil I have to admit." Macy said enthusiastically.
"Who is…" I started but then I thought, Larry... Clary... Clarisse. A most interesting nickname for a girl, but I do suppose that it's quite fitting.
"Oh I gotcha." I said.
"Dude, Henry, you are huge, what supplements do you use?" Asked Ellis.
"I'm all natural man, a good diet and a strict workout regimen consecutively for a long time is what I went through to look this good, it's functional too." I gushed
"You guys," Clarisse addressed them from over my shoulder, "this is our new brother."
It seemed as if their smiles somehow grew bigger.
"I guess I'm a little confused about this whole thing, How are you all my siblings?" I questioned them.
"We all have the same dad Henry." Macy explained.
"So our dad is a god? Making us all half god?" I asked once again.
"Yes!" exclaimed both Macy and Clarisse simultaneously.
"Is he… Ares?" I asked
"That's right." Answered Mark in a monotone voice.
"Ares is a god, okay which god is he?" I asked them.
"Well Henry, he's the Greek god of war." Macy responded.
I was the son of Ares, the Greek god of war. It all made sense now, my anger and rage, my natural combat skill, my bulky frame. My whole life I never knew either of my parents, I was told that they died in some war long ago. Then my life sucked until my step dad adopted me, built me up, and taught me how to use my anger and aggression effectively. The first time I saw him he looked like some sort of demon, his eyes were…
Wait a minute, my eyes were just like that. Could he be…
"What does he look like?" I asked breathlessly.
"Well he looks like all of us. But most mythological depictions are actually really close to how you look Henry." Macy replied.
"Would you say he had a raging fire in his eyes, maybe things that he could be annoyed by?" I asked.
"Yeah, some things that would probably stress him out is that he is having an affair with the wife of Hephaestus, Aphrodite." Replied Mark seriously.
"Hey guys, I think he raised me…" I revealed to my siblings.
It all made sense now. Why else would he give me my knucks, or even have them in the first place? He called me a conqueror, and made me study them religiously. Why?
"That is so… COOL!" Clarisse exclaimed, still clinging to my back.
My siblings berated me with questions about our dad on the porch of the Ares cabin until it was dark out, by then Clarisse had climbed off my back and was starting to not stumble around like she had brain damage. They dragged me over to the camp shop so I could get clothes that were less torn apart and more put together.
After that we went to dinner and I sat at the Ares table with my new siblings. Their attitudes changed on a dime from happy and upbeat to intimidating and brooding. Then we kind of sat through a singalong and stuff. Finally we returned to cabin number 5, where they kept me up with more and more questions. It seems like they put up a strong front to the other campers, because why not our dad is the god of war.
Then at three in the morning they were exhausted and went to sleep and I joined them in their slumber…
"Henry! Wake up!" said a female voice.
AN: Wow! Long chapter, didn't know I had it in me but hey, here it is.
Let me know if you like or not, if you got a slash fix or whatever.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time.
