"Lucy look, a spider." Arana laughed as she held out a rather large insect on her hand.
"Ew!" I swatted it away. "Arana get it away!" I squealed as I tried to distance myself from her. I hear Angel click her tongue.
"Have you never seen an insect before? What, always had your maids kill it before you can see it?" She side eyed me.
I glared at Angel. Seriously, what did Arana see in this girl? Since she moved here six months ago, she has done nothing but stick herself to my best friend like a persistent leech.
"What?" She asked me, taunting me.
"Nothing."

Magnolia University was a prestigious school, not as famous as the one I used to attend, but it looked normal and educational, from what I can see inside Juvia's black convertible. As she parked her car in the school's parking lot, I observed a bit more.
It had separate buildings, probably one for each program. Or it had a lot of students in it.
"Does Lucy-san know her schedule?"
I ring myself back to reality and look at my roommate, and probably only friend. "Yeah." I nod at her. "Planetary Geology, room L106."
"Ah, its over there." Juvia pointed to a building adjacent to the main one. "Would you like Juvia to walk with you?"
"Oh no." I shook my head. "You're almost late, I can find it."
She nodded at me. "I'll see you at lunch?"
"Alright." I smiled at her before walking away.

It was amazing how now one notices me. It was calming how I wasn't hauled off by snobby rich kids, wanting to expand their daddy's businesses with mine.
The only look I got today was lust.
Yeah, I know what it looked like. I so fucking know it.
But that's fine. As long as I'm not touched, as long as they don't approach. I'm fine.
Class had been uneventful, mainly because I already knew what was going on. Father had access to the oldest archives, and I abused that power with all I had.
Just for that one though, it was for educational purposes anyway. And it wasn't like he cared enough to stop me.
I vacated the classroom. My body felt so heavy and wiggly at the same time, like I was some unwanted tooth that could be dislodged with just a little bit of force. Slowly, the voices of the students around me started to fade away as I entered the female's washroom.
I used to like going to class. I used to like studying my ass off like my life depended on it. I didn't listen to what the professor was saying. I wanted to go home. I wanted to sleep.
I didn't want to be anywhere with other people.
I positioned myself against the counter , wetting my hands with cold water. I looked at my face. Haggard, pale, boring. Angel always pressured me to put on make up. I never went a day without wearing any.
I must have forgot.
Taking some more water in my hands, I bent down to wash my face. I reached into the dispenser, grabbing some crumpled towels and rubbing it into my skin soon after.
I sighed as I looked back at the mirror.
The girl in the mirror smiled, but it wasn't me. White hair spilled on my shoulder where my blonde hair would usually been. Then the reflection bent, sinister in the glass. Gasping, I covered my mouth, head dropping,
I'm okay.
I am fine.
There is nothing wrong with me.
I did not just see Angel in that mirror.
I'm good.
I am not breaking down in school on the first fucking day of school.
That's not me. I'm trained to be poised, elegant, graceful. I am trained to be everything my mother is.
I clenched my teeth and open my eyes again, my own face staring back at me. I glared at myself like I did something wrong.
You are not going to lose control here.
I hurried out of the restroom, stalking away to another direction.

I found Juvia near the entrance of the cafeteria, looking like a leech that wouldn't let go of some guy who had black hair.
Must be her boyfriend.
Said guy turned his head and spotted me. He raised a brow in confusion. Juvia then followed his gaze, jealousy evident, but as soon as she saw me she calmed herself.
"Lucy-san." She smiled, letting go of her boyfriend. "Come, join us for lunch." She stuck herself to me, wrapping an arm around mine and dragging me towards a table, the man right beside us.
"New friend, Juvia?" He asked.
"Yes! This is Lucy-san, she's my new roommate!" She smiled at me. As we reached an empty table, pardon the one person sitting on it, Juvia sat me down, then set herself in front of me.
"Lucy-san, this is Natsu-san and Gray-sama. They live at the apartment next door." She introduced. I looked at the two men.
I nodded in acknowledgement.
The pink haired man, looked at me and grinned. "Yo!" He waved his hand.
"H-Hello." I said.
He smiled at me like he knew me. It was terrifying. "I can't remember you." He said.
"Of course you can't remember her Natsu, you've never met her before." Gray rolled his eyes.
"I think I have." He kept looking at me, even moving closer, breaking my personal space.
"U-Um…"
"You're making her uncomfortable."
Natsu broke his stare, and turned to the man named Gray. "No, you're making her uncomfortable!" They both glared at each other.
"Please no fighting." Juvia tried to calm down the two. I looked at them back and forth.
"I'm… going to get some food." I said.
"See, you scared her away."
"You scared her, ice freak."
*.*.*.*.*
I handed the vendor some money as I took the tray of food I had just purchased. I didn't really mind the two fighting, it was the most eventful part of my day so far. At least they were acting like themselves.
I set my food down again, Juvia had also just gotten back with her own tray of food.
"You're not going to eat Gray-sama?"
"I just had lunch."
"And you, Natsu-san?"
"I can't decide." He glared at the line of food stalls.
Juvia shrugged and looked at me. "What did Lucy-san get?"
"Tonkatsu, I guess."
"Oh, did you get it from Food Rush?" She pointed towards the stall I had just been to. "Its amazing, try their sauce, it's the best part of it."
"T-Thanks." I said. I look back down on my food, scooping up some rice to bring it to my mouth.
My hand stopped when I spotted something moving. Something small. Something pale and white. I froze as my gaze slid over the plate. White maggots writhed around the paper plate. I covered my mouth.
It was a plate of disgusting maggots.
"Lucy-san?"
I looked at Juvia, then back at my plate. Just plain white rice, unmoving. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." I mumbled. "I'm fine." I kept staring at my plate, like I'm waiting for the rice to start moving again.
"It tastes better when it hot." Natsu commented.
"I guess I didn't… realize that I didn't want to eat." I pushed the plate back. I then looked at the pink haired man. "D-Do you want it?"
"Uh, yeah sure."
Keep the hallucinations to yourself Lucy. You're not crazy.
