Missy sat at her monitor for days. What she thought would take an hour, had taken longer than she expected. So long that the tardis had sent a recliner.

She read about pokemon, how to handle them, their natures, the many tales written about them, and the abilities of the pokemon legends. She had a feeling that she had only scratched the surface.

Then there was pokemon battling. Certain types of pokemon have an advantage over others in battle, Dark-type pokemon easily had the advantage over psychic, fairy, and ice could defeat dragon types. Fire-type pokemon could conquer steel and grass. It took great effort to memorize all of the variations.

She learned that certain moves could give her an advantage in battle. The move sunny day could give a fire or grass type pokemon the upper hand with an attack boost. She learned about power-up moves such as bulk-up could raise a pokemon's attack and be used with a pair move such as baton pass to up the next pokemon's status.

Missy spent an entire day on a pokemon battle simulator challenging competitors from all over the world. She had gone as far as to create her own fictional teams to take on opponents. She learned how to harness the abilities of the pokemon she was given. She had fought in many battles and used more than two hundred species.

She watched live pokemon battles to better grasp what a real battle could be like. She learned more about mega evolutions. Then discovered how to achieve such power. Apparently, the trainer and the pokemon needed to have a close bond.

Missy continued to dive into the competitive aspect of pokemon. She learned of pokemon gyms which were places trainers visited to prove their abilities and to earn badges. Each region had eight gyms on average.

A trainer must battle and win against all eight gym leaders to move on to the Pokemon League. Some of the strongest gyms in the world were in the following cities; Snowbell, Blackthorn, Opelucid, Sunyshore, Viridian, and Stootopolis.

Not knowing the locations off-hand could be a problem going forward. She spent nearly half a day learning the maps of the world and coordinates for all of the towns and noteworthy locations. She sighed, an article popped with a daycare center.

When she finished one task she was on to the next. Its contents were about how to take care of pokemon. Missy glimpsed through some of the two hundred and twelve-page article. She decided she would have the tardis take care of the pokemon. It seemed to do a great job with ninetails.

There was so much more to discover. She learned more about the lore of celebi. The pokemon traveled through time replenishing the forest of the world. The people of this world prayed to the pokemon as a forest deity. Celebi sighting was common in a few places in the world Arborville Town and Ilex Forest.

The pokemon had access to a time rift. This made her wonder if there was a temporal pokemon. With a quick search, she got an answer.

Dialga, the temporal pokemon. Dialga was part of the creation trio it's other members include Palkia and Giratina. It is thought that all three pokemon lived in parallel dimensions to ours. Very little was known about these pokemon or the places they lived in. It was common lore that portals existed to their realms.

She did a bit more research and discovered the creation trio was created by Arceus. She learned of Arceus was said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world.

Arceus and the creation trio, Dialga the ruler of the temporal realm the pokemon was believed to control time. Giratina of the void, a place thought to be the underworld. Palkia keeper of all space, its realm was rumored to be guided by imagination. There wasn't much beyond the theories of these realms and theology.

Missy searched and searched, but the information the archive and internet had was scarce. There was no information on how to get to Dialga's dimension.

Dialga, the pokemon controlled all of the time in this world. There was very little information beyond that. She read many articles on the internet that attempted to explain this pokemon's power.

Missy leaned back into the recliner. Her frustration grew as she realized the world is in some sort of time lock. According to the information, the pokemon Dialga seemed to be the source of her problem.

She closed her eyes and thought it over. All she had to do was catch the celebi. Have it bring her to the temporal realm and defeat Dialga. Then she could be on her way and travel properly. She wondered if the pokemon might be of any use to her in the future.

Her attention was taken away from these matters as ninetails soft footsteps approached. Her eyes shot open as the fox entered the control room. Lazily Missy looked over at her, the pokemon looked concerned.

Mistress you've been reading non-stop for days. You've barely slept or eaten anything and I'm worried about you, Ninetails softly said as she parked next to her.

" I've been busy, but now that I have a greater understanding of this world I think we will be leaving very shortly," Missy explained as she got up.

She walked into her wardrobe, through a corridor of outfits. She slipped into the bathroom and cleaned up. After a change of clothes, she was ready to get going.

The glimmer of a mirror caught her eye. She stopped and looked at herself in the mirror. When gazed at herself and realized that she looked incredible.

Missy twirled as she looked at herself over. She gazed back at her pale complexion and blue eyes. A lock of her auburn hair fell to the side. She brushed it aside and smiled. She felt ready to take on the universe. She'll take it as a Goddess of beauty and destruction. She felt more alive than she had in the last fifty years.

There were more pressing matters at hand. At the end next to the mirror was a large ebony jewelry box. Missy opened it up and snatched a silver necklace and a pendant with a vacant socket. She then found a black velvet collar with a socket. It was the perfect size for a wolf. She had always wanted one, now she had the next best thing.

She snatched it and then briskly walked to the laboratory. She took the appropriate keystone from the box and placed it into the empty socket. The absolite fit perfectly inside. The screwdriver hummed as she locked it in place.

Missy took absol's ball from her pocket and summoned the pokemon. Absol seemed bemused, it looked around the laboratory and then at her.

" Sit," she ordered.

The wolf-like canine complied and she placed the collar on its neck. It looked elegant on the pokemon, she was pleased to have a wolf. The next step was simple, she hypnotized the wolf. She made it believe that they have had a long and plentiful relationship. In turn, she learned that the pokemon had lived most of its life in the mountains.

The process took a few minutes. When she was done absol nuzzled her chest. She graciously returned the affection and scratched its head. After a few moments, she recalled the pokemon.

She pondered where she would go but the steady wyrm of an alarm stopped her.

She walked back into her control room and looked at the computer. A time anomaly was occurring. The event was taking place on October 30th, 1909 in Alamos Town of Sinnoh Region.

The fashion of the period is Edwardian. She smirked as she re-entered her wardrobe. She changed into a long flowing purple skirt. She put on a pressed white dress shirt and a mulberry tie. She put on a fine Edwardian-style jacket. Then placed her hair into an elegant bun.

She snatched her umbrella and beckoned ninetails as she stepped out the door. She wanted to know what all the fuss was about. She supposed there was only one way to find out.

Before they departed, she transformed the tardis into a pokeball once more. It was a very useful thing to carry, best kept with her. She was curious about what lie ahead. With a press of a button, the pair was on their way to the past.

When their travel stopped they arrived in a dark and dingy alley. The dull light of a street lamp was a few steps ahead. They made their way to it and stepped onto a cobblestone street.

Closed stores and still models lined the windows around them. They were in a shopping district. The store windows showcased fine women's fashion. There were dresses of every color and suits for the gentlemen.

The city had a unique Spanish accent that was reflected in the architecture of the buildings. The light from the gas lamps gave the street a dull illumination. The shadows cast gave the town an eerie feel.

They crossed the vacant street and stepped onto a sidewalk. They turned left and strolled down the road. Missy used her screwdriver to scan the area for time temporal anomalies. Her search came back as inconclusive.

The sound of horses trotting at pace got her attention. A black carriage led by two rapidash steadily passed them. The firey horses crackled, and embers burst from under their hooves as they trotted along. The carriage they pulled bounced as passed by.

Missy checked the area for people and noticed a couple dressed in fine evening wear. The couple had a drunken stupor and paraded down the walkway merrily. They were talking and laughing with one another. A flick of the screwdriver amplified their conversation.

" I wish we could have stayed longer, but that Lysandre fellow was just too much," she said, the woman was wasted. " As you can see here-" she stopped to get ahold of herself. " I've managed to explain the dynamics of the music. I swear I could have died of boredom."

The man accompanying her laughed then replied," He was an interesting character, he had so many assistants. Who realistically needs that many people to accompany them to a celebration? He must have brought a company of ten tonight. Did he forget about Godey? " the man paused, then continued with his ideas, " No, No, Godey slipped away. Said he would be back. That's what we said. "

The couple burst into laughter. After a moment, his date regained her composure. " Oh, you had the pleasure of speaking with Godey-" she snickered before she carried on, " Perhaps he was running from Lysandre's company. They looked ridiculous dressed in their red suits with their red hair. I wanted to vomit in disgust."

He laughed again then said, " I think you wanted to vomit from more than that. You're right, the grand unveiling of the Space-Time Tower, whatever the hell kind of name that is, will be remembered as a disaster."

Missy disengaged her screwdriver, she had heard enough and was disgusted by their nonsense. She scanned the area and discovered the tower was not far away.

A mischievous idea came to mind, then she looked down at the fox. " Sounds like we've got a party to crash."

Ninetails raised a brow then asked, Mistress you're just going to show up uninvited?

The question brought about a gleeful smile and reply, It'll be a nice change of pace, a fun one.

Ninetails was bemused by her answer and asked, Fun, what about the temporal anomalies Mistress?

You'll see, besides it's the Time and Space Tower if we can't find our answer's there where will we? Missy mused before she stepped ahead. Come on, we'll get to the bottom of this.

Her step bounced as they prowled the streets of Alamos. They passed a lively bar its patrons were in an uproar. A glance in the window and a quick look at the jovial patrons of the night dancing and playing cards answered all of her questions. She paid them no more attention and continued. Not too long after, they found their destination.

The Space and Time Tower was a magnificent structure. A massive Roman-style cathedral, its height was impressive. Two separate spires rose into the sky flanking the structure.

Both spires were very different, the first was decorated with glass cut in the shape of diamonds, the other with pearl-like objects. Behind the cathedral, a lake glimmered under the light of the full moon.

The carriage that had passed them had parked in front of the gate. An older gentleman slowly got out. His hair is white and in a mullet. It was a good contrast to the penguin tux, but it went terribly with the red bow tie he wore.

When he approached the elegant gate he was greeted by another man who was also dressed in a tuxedo. His red hair and beard were spiked. He looked to the other with a warm smile.

Both men were lively with conversation as entered the tower. She was certain of one thing, the other man was the priest from the congregation at The Brass Tower.

Missy sneered as she eyed him. " He's a very prominent priest."

Right, Mistress, Ninetails agreed.

She snatched ninetails ball and whispered, " It's time for you to disappear."

Ninetails frowned as she was sent back to her ball. Missy carried on and readied her psychic paper as she approached the door. Two men dressed in red tuxedos stood guard. One of them was holding a clipboard, they both looked at her and the list as she approached.

" Your name please?" the man holding the clipboard.

Missy handed them the psychic paper and the two held her identification for a moment. They both looked over it before it was handed back to her.

" We've been expecting you, Miss Grace," he said.

He opened the door, " Please come this way."

He was very polite as he showed her in. Missy was escorted to a vast parlor room. The party-goers mingled and drank. There was a party somewhere in this conglomerate of conversations.

The floor was an elegant pearl-like marble and the glass of the skyline sparkled. The moonlight shined through, but its illumination was drowned out by the gas-lit fixtures.

A makeshift stage had been placed at the end of the room. Behind it was a series of large windows. A glass double door entrance that showcased an enormous auditorium. Inside there was a temporary seating arrangement on the floor.

Missy meandered her way through the crowds of people. They were mostly engaged in their affairs.

" This is a lovely way to spend a Saturday. Shame we have to wait for the music at this party," a woman said to her partner.

The recipient smiled in turn and replied, " My dear it adds to the experience when you hear it after such anticipation."

The sounds of chatter died as two men took the stage. The members of the party applauded as they took the podium together.

Missy looked over the pair. They were the same two men she saw when she arrived. The older man with white hair cleared his throat. His soft brown eyes looked over the auditorium.

" Good evening ladies and gentlemen, friends and strangers. For the few tonight that I have not had the pleasure to meet my name is Godey. I am the architect of The Time-Space Tower. Tonight I would like to introduce a new structure dedicated to the gods of time and space. A few years ago I had a dream of a cathedral that touched the sky. A cathedral that played melodies to soothe the heavens and the masses. When I first started my design I never thought it would be achievable to build such a magnificent design."

Godey warmly showcased his partner. " I would like to give my deepest thanks to my partner Lysandre. His vision and incredible calculation broadened the path to our success. "

They shook hands in commemoration of the event. A reporter stepped in front of the podium camera in hand. He squatted and took a picture before retreating.

Lysandre smiled as he looked over the crowd. Then he picked up the speech, " It took many years and many calculations to make this dream a reality. As you can all see with a little bit of time and a lot of ingenuity anything can be achieved. Tonight we dedicate this structure as a tribute to the Gods of time and space, Dialga and Palkia."

Two men dressed in red tuxedos approached the stage. They carried a large silver disk to the front of the podium. Lysandre waved his hand showcasing the disk.

After a moment of pause, Lysandre continued, " Before you is one of many pieces of music derived from the earth, wind, and man. Tonight's performance will be the first of a never-ending symphony. Forever dedicated in the honor of the Gods. From this day forth songs of joy and grace will sing through Sinnoh. These melodies will help keep the forces of time and space at ease."

Lysandre paused and gestured to Godey, who continued the speech, " Ladies and gentlemen it is our pleasure to present to you the first performance at Time-Space Tower."

The audience applauded while the doors to the auditorium were opened. The party swarmed the doors as they began to enter.

Missy moved away from the crowd and slipped into a corridor. She hastily walked down a hall. An illuminated sign on her right indicated stairs to the balcony.

She entered a stairwell with a grand spiral staircase. She slipped past a post and rope barrier to the stairs. She climbed the elegant oak stairway. When she entered the balcony she made her way to the center.

Missy looked out past the white marble floors of the auditorium. As the party-goers flooded in she wondered what this was all about.

In front of her, a was stained glass window of a Dialga and Palkia. A large set of windows flanked the stained glass each adorned with pearls and diamonds. The windows showcased a wilted garden, it would have been a sight to behold in the spring.

Missy could feel a presence creeping up behind her. She spun around, Lysandre had tried to sneak up on her. He was in the company of two others.

A man dressed in a red tuxedo and a woman dressed in a fine red gown. The girl's hair had been arranged in a triple-tiered bun. Her hairstyle didn't fit the period. The laser guns they both held said a lot too. She casually looked them over and then at Lysandre.

Missy tightened her grip on her umbrella. " Worship music much?"

Godey stepped before the audience his speech halted any response. " Ladies and gentlemen, On this night before the eve of the dead. We have prepared a special opening for our first performance. We present Concerto Grossa Toccata number two written by Alfred Schnittkee."

Godey bowed before he departed from the stage. The audience gently applauded in appreciation. There was a pause and soon the soft notes of music overtook the silence.

Lysandre gazed back at her in confusion, then said, " Worship?" he paused it seemed that he was in deep thought. " The only thing we worship here are the Gods of space and time."

The sound of a bell dinged through the hall. The music seemed to rouse his memories, or at the very least bring about the present moment.

" What are you doing up here Miss, the party's downstairs?" Lysandre asked.

" I came up here to listen to that dreadfully delightful sound you call music," Missy replied.

Lysandre's eyes narrowed, and he smiled with the remark." Dreadful indeed."

He took her aside, together they observed the audience. A few people were ready to depart, while others left with hast. A man and his wife walked out with a look of outrage.

She glanced over, Lysandre leaned against the railing. He seemed pleased by their reactions. He closed his eyes and listened before he regained focus.

Lysandre's grey eyes slowly opened. " Tonight the history of the world changes." He gestured to the audience below. " Look at them all, living their lives, growing feeble, becoming old and dying. I want to change that."

The music hit a high note. The sound of the violin's strings screeched and formed an awful pitch. Her lips curled with the sound, the piece could have been considered a chaotic masterpiece.

A burst of blue light illuminated the auditorium and the skyline beyond. Bolts of green and blue lightning shot across the sky. Gasp and hushed murmurs of chatter came from below.

" What do you intend to do?" Missy asked.

Lysandre's answer was simple, " Why re-write history of course."

Missy frowned with the revelation, " For life eternal? How will you manage to achieve that?"

Lysandre was focused on the bolts of lightning. His eyes and posture lead her to believe he was confident about the events. He was transfixed but remained mindful of her.

Lysander's answer was full of simper, " With the ability to time travel, a little luck, and with the help of some very good friends. I don't think anything is beyond the realm of possibility. " He looked at Missy and a smile crept across his face. " My dear Mistress you have a habit of showing up at the perfect times."

With a snap of his fingers, the henchmen aimed at her. Reacting quickly she hopped onto the railing. She used the umbrella to block just before they fired. The shield deflected their shots, but the impact launched her off the balcony.

Missy was blasted across the auditorium. Her skirt flailed wildly as she flew. She forced her umbrella closed and took advantage of the situation. She allowed herself to go over most of the hall. She was losing altitude but was closer to an exit.

Missy spun in the air before she opened her umbrella once more. Now in a graceful descent, she returned fire. The pair jumped and dodged the attack. While Lysandre ran to the stairs, he was using a handheld radio and said something on his way out.

As she approached the ground she noticed two men dressed in red tuxedos headed her way. A few more came from the aisles of the auditorium. She summoned her pokemon, vespiquen. The queen bee flew ahead to protect her.

As she landed, she started the fight with a command, " Vespiquen attack order."

Vespiquen pointed the honeycombs at the bottom of its dress. Small insects launched from the bottom and swarmed the nearest attacker. An assailant dressed in red covered his eyes as he charged through the insects.

With the show disrupted the audience became chaotic. They cried out and panicked as they began to flee. That was of little importance to those involved.

Her attacker threw a pokeball. " Druddigon!"

A massive, blue, and rugged, dragon materialized before him. The pokemon raised its claws into the air as it roared.

His companion took his side and tossed a ball. " I don't like your vespiquen's style. Raichu go!"

Raichu resembled a giant mouse with a lightning bolt for a tail. The pokemon growled as sparks ignited from its checks.

Missy gestured to the pair as if to say are you serious. " Start a pokemon battle and the first thing you complain about is my pokemon's fashion. Don't you think red is just a bit out of trend?"

" Team-" the other started.

His partner interrupted him," Remember what Lysandre said, we can't announce ourselves here."

The agent nodded, then took command," Use thunderbolt!"

Raichu growled as lightning surged from its cheeks. Vespiquen flew in front of her to take the attack but fell short.

Missy was forced to block the attack with her umbrella. She watched as the lightning scattered across the floor. The other agents held themselves back and avoided the slew of lightning.

The agent pointed at vespiquen. " Druddigon use dragon tail!"

The dragon charged vespiquen and began to swing its tail. Vespiquen took a hard hit knocking her to the ground. She quickly recouped, got up, and took flight.

" Use air slash," Missy commanded

Vespiquen began to flap her wing violently. The wind formed a blade that launched at the dragon.

Missy snagged ninetails ball then threw it. " Ninetails get in there."

The fox leaped into battle and growled. The dragon and mouse glared back in return. All pokemon were poised and ready to fight.

Missy wasted no time and ordered the fox to attack, " Use flamethrower."

Ninetails growled as a jet of flames came from her mouth. The flames consumed the mouse briefly. Raichu huffed and sneered, it had taken a hefty amount of damage. The pokemon's skin was charred and burned.

" Raichu use thunder punch!" her opponent countered.

Raichu growled as lumbered at ninetails. Its paw sparked as it leaped forward. The fox braced herself before she was struck on the side. Her tails flew up as she slid back.

Missy grinned while she took command, " Vespiquen use attack order again."

Vespiquen released more insects from its dress, the move affected both opposing pokemon. They frantically attempted to whack the insects away. Their efforts were ineffective, both pokemon took minor damage.

" Druddigon dragon rage," her opponent demanded.

Druddigon opened its mouth before it unleashed flames of purple fire. The attack struck the queen bee back. To spite the dragon's efforts, it had hardly phased vespiquen.

Missy took action," Ninetails use nasty plot."

Ninetails surrounded herself in a purple aura raising her special attack. The boost guaranteed that her next attack would deliver a knockout blow.

He quickly responded, " Raichu thunder wave!"

Raichu's cheeks began to spark as it charged towards ninetails. If the move struck her pokemon would be paralyzed. She wasn't going to allow that.

Missy's next order was fast, " Dodge it and use flamethrower."

Ninetails leaped to the left before she let out more flames. The moused fell to the ground and fainted. The dragon snarled as it chased after the fox.

A green burst of lightning illuminated the room. The sound of a crack overtook the vicinity. Panes of glass began to fall from the ceiling. When a large shard crashed onto the floor, she and her assailants recalled their pokemon.

The men fled more glass started to fall. She ducked under her umbrella. She watched the glass fall around her and shatter. Her umbrella rumbled as the shields deflected the heavy panes.

The sky was rapidly changing from shades of green followed by hues of blue. The flashes of lightning became more violent. After a moment they ceased, then an unsettling silence came after. Tension filled the air, then was broken by the roar of a massive creature. Its cry became paramount to all else.
