Happy new year!

"Hey, hasn't Silver been gone for a while?" Yellow was a little concerned.

"Yeah, he has. Maybe he went outside. Or maybe he's doing something else~" Blue said, far less concerned than Yellow.

"Like what?" Yellow asked, not getting the joke. Blue sighed at her purity.

"You are going to need to grow up soon. Poor Red won't be able to do anything. Actually, he is kind of just as dense as you are. Although he probably would have gotten the joke." Red has grown a little since they were kids, mind and body, but his romantic portion of the brain, not so much.

"I still don't get it. I've grown up plenty, haven't I?" Yellow wondered.

'I love Yellow, but she is too innocent for her own good sometimes.' Blue sighed again.

"I know Silver can handle himself but we should probably look for him anyway. We don't want him to be slacking. If I have to do this, so does he." It was obvious that Green didn't want to be doing this.

"We should split up. The first team will be Crystal, Gold, Ruby, Pearl, X, and Moon. Another team will be Red, Sapphire, Diamond, Black, White, Y, and Sun. Blue, you go with Yellow, Emerald, and Platinum. I will go with team one. Okay?" Green split everyone up. Nobody had any problems with the teams, so the groups started to leave.

"Hold on, not you Blue." Green grabbed Blue's shoulder to stop her from leaving.

"What? Don't you want to find him?"

"Of course..." Green trailed off for a minute, "but I want your group to continue investigating. We came here on a mission and we can't just forget about it. Silver's probably fine, he's likely just investigating on his because he got sick of the group. Can you do that?"

"Fine, but he better be okay." Blue glared at him.

"How about we check the kitchen? When he left I saw him head that way." X suggested.

"All right." Pearl nodded.

"I hope he's okay." He heard Crystal mutter.

"He'll be fine. He's probably the strongest out of all of us." X reassured her.

"But isn't Red the strongest out of all of us?" Pearl glared at X, Crystal looked more nervous, and Green looked just about ready to kill him.

'Right, Green lost to Red.' X thought as the others turned away from him.

A shriek echoed throughout the halls

"The kitchen!" Pearl yelled. The group raced to the kitchen, worried by the shriek. Ruby's back was to them, arched and shivering.

"G-guys..." Moon backed away, "is th-that blood?"

Ruby, who was still shivering, nodded slowly before following the trail.

"What are you guys doing?" Asked Emerald as he walked up.

"Looking for cookies." Ruby replied, seemingly not caring that there is a trail of blood on the floor anymore.

"Really?!" Emerald asked excitedly.

"No dumbass, we're following the trail of blood!" Pearl yelled, not able to contain his anger.

The trail led to the closet.

"You open it." Ruby pushed Pearl in front of him.

"Hell no!" Pearl pushed Ruby in front of him.

"Chill." Red said before opening the closet. Silver's body fell onto the floor, right in front of Red's shoes.

"Waughuf!" Red yelled, literally jumping back six feet.

"Stay safe!" Moon said to no one in particular. (A/N: This was written in, like, November 2020)

"Red? What the hell was that noise?" Ruby asked while laughing, not caring about the body on the floor in front of him. Moon rushed up to the body, checking his pulse.

"He's still alive, although just barely." Moon said, eyes downcast. He was bleeding from his head, which was not a good sign.

"...guys..." a weak voice called out.

"Hurry! Get him to Yellow!" Red yelled. He tried to pick him up, but he noticed a spike was in his back.

"Here, get him on the table, but lay him face down so the spike doesn't dig into his back more." Green yelled.

They successfully got Silver on the table as Blue walked into the room with Platinum.

"Emerald, you were supposed to come back and tell u-" Blue didn't finish her sentence.

"SILVER!" Blue screamed at the top of her lungs. Silver opened his eyes.

"Sis?" His glazed-over eyes stared at her as she gripped his hand. His hand was cold, way too cold.

"Forget about me... Okay?"

"What?! Silver! What do you mean?!"

He smiled at Blue before the life left his eyes.

"Silver? SILVER?!" Blue cried.

"What happened?" Yellow ran into the room. Her eyes widened at the scene before her.

"I think... I think someone poisoned him." Green said somberly.

"What? Why would anyone do that?!" Pearl yelled.

"I don't want to consider that possibility, but there is a poison spike sticking out of his back. The room plunged into silence as Green walked over to Blue, putting an arm around her shoulder. Blue buried her face into Green's chest as she cried.

"I know..."

The room was silent.

"...I know he was murdered."

Again, nobody said anything.

"He was murdered by one of you! Platinum! You have a poison type, I bet it was you!" Blue yelled in a fit of rage.

"I'm sorry, but I was with you the whole time." It was true, as they were even side by side while exploring.

"If anyone, it would be him," Red pointed to Ruby, "he's been laughing and joking the whole time."

"YES! YOU!" Blue lunged at him in rage.

"Calm down." Green grabbed Blue, and she started to cry into his arms. Once again, everyone was silent.

"I'm sorry, I get like this when I'm nervous." Ruby said, being serious for the first time in the past thirty minutes.

"I'm sorry, I-I just can't believe he's dead. One of us killed him." Blue said while sobbing.

"Anything could have happened, there was an injury on his head. Maybe he fell on something or something fell on his head. There was also a poison spike in his back. It could have been a wild Pokémon." Green explained calmly.

"Then why was he in the closet?" Blue asked. Green remained silent.

The door slammed open as the second group arrived. Sun fainted as soon as his eyes laid on Silver.

"Sun!" Moon yelled as she ran up to him. The others were panting.

"What happened?" Y asked. They responded one by one, still panting.

"Monsters..."

"...Chasing us..."

"No choice..."

"But... To leave her..."

This chapter was very difficult to write. As I go and rewrite the chapters, I try to add new stuff, edit grammar, try to have things make more sense, and fix any plot holes if I find them. I remembered when I read this chapter on the original, I got a little confused because of the teams, since some characters were in other places than the team they were assigned to, or some characters weren't assigned a team. So, I looked at future chapters to reassign the teams to make sense, but when I went back to look at the teams while writing a future chapter, I realized most of the teams were right from the start, and I just confused myself. I then had to rewrite the teams (again) and everything past Green assigning the teams.

Anyways, have a happy new year!
