Hey, hey! Welcome back! I think I'm going to bump up the rating to an M, since it is a pretty violent story. With that being said, if you are uncomfortable with or have a bad reaction to violence, death, or suicide, I would suggest not reading this story. If you choose to continue reading the story, enjoy!
"See anything, you guys?"
"Nothing over here!"
"It's the same over here." Red sighed. They haven't been able to find anything yet.
"Let's head back guys, I don't think we have anything here."
"Hopefully the other group found him." Y said, nervous.
"Don't worry Y! Like Green said, he's probably fine!" Red reassured her.
"Hey, seniors! Over here!" Yelled White. Red turned to face White, who was looking at a dark room.
"We haven't searched this one yet." Red felt Sun and Diamond shudder next to him.
"Come on, if you don't think about it, it's not really scary!" Moon tried to cheer the others up. The room was so dark that you wouldn't be able to see clearly in it. Strange covers were haphazardly thrown across the floor, along with a few boxes.
"Okay! Let's go!" Y said. She and Moon happened to like scary things, so this didn't bother them.
"Let's stay together, just in case." Sun said, pretending to not really be scared.
The group searched the room, checking corners and crevices.
Nothing.
"We should head back. Hopefully, the others have found him." Sun said.
"Okay." Y sighed. She was still nervous about her senior. They walked towards the door, avoiding the boxes that littered the floor. That is until Sun tripped on one of them. Suddenly, there was a strange beeping noise, catching the other's attention.
"What is that?!" Sun yelled.
"Let's get out of here!" Red yelled. Rumbling then shook the room, sending the kids sprawling. Red held onto the corner of the box, holding onto Y as the rumbling grew stronger. (A/N: Originally Y was Yellow in parts of this chapter, but I had to change her to Y for consistency. Keep that in mind Red x Yellow shippers!)
"Boom!" Red yelled as the others sighed.
"You didn't have to yell 'boom'," Green again sighed, "Just say 'the box exploded.'"
"But that's no fun." Red pouted.
"Anyways, what happened next?" Crystal asked, getting impatient.
"We were all separated, so I wasn't there to see the rest. Dia was, though." Red explained.
"Okay, I-I'll explain." Diamond said, looking uncomfortable.
The walls closed in, blocking Diamond and White from the others. Diamond looked around frantically, eyes filled with terror as he looked around at the collapsed walls.
'What's going on!?'
"Red? Y?" There was no response. The walls must've blocked everything out.
"I don't want to die... Not like this." White was hugging her knees to her chest as she rocked back and forth. Diamond placed a hand on her back, trying to comfort her.
"It will be okay."
"Huh?" White looked at Diamond.
"You're here? Hey, the walls stopped collapsing, we're okay!"
'She must've been trapped in her own world.' Diamond thought.
The floors lit up a black color.
"Too soon." White sighed.
"Wait, I don't have my Pokémon!" She started to panic again.
Figures arose from the light, demonic smirks etched on their faces.
They advanced on their prey.
Diamond and White stood back-to-back.
"What can we do?! We don't have our Pokémon!" Diamond yelled.
"I guess we have to try to fight them." White said, nervous.
More and more of the "shadow children" (as Diamond began to call them) advanced on them, some fusing into deformed blobs. That's when they attacked. They leaped at the two teens, latching onto their skin.
Diamond shrieked in pain; the monsters were killing them. His skin was on fire.
White fell to the floor, the monsters engulfing her.
"No! White!" Diamond tried kicking them off of White, but they only dispersed for a minute before they reappeared.
"Just die already!" Diamond yelled. He was pushed back from his friend as more monsters latched onto his skin. His vision blurred and he saw white spots.
'I guess this is it.'
He still heard White shrieking, but there was nothing he could do. He slumped to the floor and gave up.
You can't give up.
'Yes, I can. Pearl is willpower, I'm just emotion.'
Emotions are what keeps you alive. Keep going Diamond, I know you can.
'Mespirit.'
He slowly picked himself up, punching the creatures. He no longer saw anything but black, and White's screams were gone.
'I'm alone.'
He dodged the creatures as they leaped at him.
'I can't stay still for long.'
A faint light shone from the other side of the room.
"An exit?!"
That's when he heard it.
"Diamond? White? Are you there!" Red yelled. He thanked Arceus before racing to the other side of the room, kicking aside the monsters as he ran. He collapsed at the exit, hearing the voices fade.
Everything faded to black.
"That's what happened." Diamond said, still shook by the events that transpired mere moments ago.
"I don't believe you!" Black raced to Diamond, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt
"Monsters? That's why you left her?! Pfft, I thought you were a dexholder! We don't leave anyone behind!" He yelled with rage.
"I tried-"
"YOU DID NOT! YOU LEFT HER!" he pointed at the others in the group,
"AND THAT GOES FOR YOU GUYS TOO! SHE COULD STILL BE ALIVE, BEING TORTURED BY THOSE... THINGS''
Diamond pushed Black away from him without a word and a cold expression on his face. Black growled, before turning away.
"Diamond?" Platinum looked at him with shock. He flinched from her reaction.
"Ugh! I can't take this! I'm looking for White!" Black ran out of the room. Diamond then walked out of the room, going in the opposite direction.
"What the- those idiots!" Green yelled.
"Teams one and three, go after them! I'll stay here."
The dexholders on those teams quickly chased after the two boys.
"We aren't going to last long like this..."
"See anything?"
"No."
Team one (Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Pearl, X, and Moon) had tried to follow Diamond, but they lost him.
"Two of us are dead, and it hasn't even been a day." Crystal sighed.
"Don't talk like that! We'll get out of this, I know it!" Moon tried to cheer her up.
"I hope, but I don't think Dia is all right." Pearl looked down at his feet.
"What about Black?" Ruby asked. Pearl looked up, glaring at Ruby.
"He's the asshole who caused this!" He yelled. Crystal gasped at Pearl. He never used language like that. Although, it would make sense in this situation. Diamond wa- is his best friend after all.
"How about we check in here?" X suggested. The room he suggested was dark, and it seemed like it could be a good hiding place.
"Sure." Crystal said. Boxes were all over the place and some were on their sides like they had been kicked away in haste.
'Strange." Crystal thought.
"Diamond!? Are you in here?" Sun yelled.
Grr
"Hello?"
A figure moved across the room, its features covered with darkness.
"Diamond? Is that you?"
The figure looked up, a crooked smirk on its face, gleaming red.
"Oh shi-"
"That is not Diamond."
The creature raised a red hand at them, flames spurting out as he did so. Crystal jumped back, pulling Pearl with her.
"Run!"
Again, the violence and body descriptions get more graphic and there are mentions of suicide later in the story, so please be warned. It shouldn't be anything worse than a Danganronpa game, but I did feel the need to mention that there will be suicide. If anyone reading this has suicidal thoughts, please stop reading this story and seek help.
Anyways, I decided to put the content warning here so there will be minimal spoilers, and I feel like it fits right here since nothing too bad has happened yet. Also, I should have all of the original story posted by next month! Yay! I actually started writing chapters 7-9 even though I haven't finished chapter 5. Yeah, I should get on that.
