First Night
Light hums in a kiss that was able to caught L off guard, completely enjoying the mixture of soft and cold combination of her lips. He could feel by the sudden change of her posture that she was tense (after all, why wouldn't she be? He had just kissed her out of the blue, and they are still in the middle of it) so he rested his hands on her hips, slowly stroking it.
Eventually, L came to her senses and was beyond mortified. Using whatever power she had left within her, she pushed him off her, face reddening and looked as if she's ready to cry.
Light favours those expressions. Every single second of it.
"What's wrong with you?!", she screamed, "How many times do I have to tell you no?!".
"But you never asked me to stop", he defended, "You were so cute and squirmy, too. I get off to that".
"You get off—" she breathed out, in utter disbelief, "I don't need to know what's your sexual preference is, Light-kun! Consent is consent! No is a no! You can't just keep doing this and moves on as if the world revolves around you!".
"Whatever", he said, turning towards the shower as he discarded his boxers, completely ignoring her protest, "I'm going to take a shower now".
"You can't just— ", she was cut off by a sudden tug, forcing her to follow, "Hey! I'm not done yet!".
L had her back turned throughout the whole shower, which brought Light's attention dwelling. With nothing else to hold his eyesight, he would occasionally slip a glance or two and peek at her ass, soft and plump, or her long unblemished legs that are wet, or...
...Or her back that has a long scar running through...
That piqued his interest; he didn't notice that before, and he sure as hell wasn't the cause of it.
Within an instant, Light almost turned around physically to take a better look at the said scar; it was a bump of soft skin tissue, meaning that L must in need of stitching to recover from whatever type of wound that was inflicted upon her. Judging by the looks of it, it was placed at a crucial position and was lethal to her, too— God is certainly on her side when that happened, because as far as Light is aware, no typical person could survive such injuries.
So yeah, God (him) is picking favourite here.
"Where'd you get the scar?", he asked. He wanted to know what bastard dares to hurt her, when it should've been his job. He wanted to kill and hurt and torture whoever that does that to her, harm them with his own bare hands and bathe in their blood. It was a violent thought, more so than his usual ones, but he's going to let it spiral this time around.
"It's none of your business", she said, quick to answer. Her hands ran through her shoulder, as if she was reaching to touch the scar without making it seems ridiculous.
Sighing, she claims, "It happened a long time ago, anyway... you don't need to concern yourself with it".
There was a short, brief moments of silence before Light responds.
"No. I don't think I'll let you go this time around".
Without a warning, Light latched himself onto her, wrapping an arm around her waist as he pressed himself behind. His hand ended up on her stomach, which became his sole centre of force in pushing (pulling?) her against him. She could practically hear his breathing down her neck, on top of the sounds of gushing water that's showering them both.
"Light! What the hell?!", she screamed, "Let me go this instant!".
L tried to trash around, trying to free herself from Light's grasp, but it was all rendered futile as he was, biologically, stronger than her. Instead, he pressed harder and captures her wrist, inching closer to her ear.
"No...", he whispered, "I don't want to hear those bullshit. I want to know who did this to you".
L was speechless. Never had she met a convicted suspect so intrigued in wanting to know of her well-being (well, there were a couple) and is so persistent of it.
"I told you! It's not your business to mingle in!",
"But it is", Light argued, "It is my business when my fellow chain mate, who happens to be the world's greatest detective, somehow fucking slipped and almost get herself killed. I need to know who the hell did this to her. I need to know, and we're going to stay like this until you tell me".
L simply scoffed, "You're just going to find a way to communicate with them and plan my downfall, aren't you?".
"No", Light said, "Stop accusing me of stuff I don't have the slightest of intention in doing. It's unsightly".
L was about to argue when Light licked the area of her earlobe, making her tense. She moaned at the anticipation as he continuously whispers into her ears, asking for the culprit. She noticed that his hold has also tightens, almost wrapped protectively, preventing her from escaping. It sent the chills down her spine, especially of what he said next.
"Come on, L. Give me what the hell I want".
It didn't work. Somehow, L managed to work her composure through the shower which, of course, were dragged exponentially, despite of Light's antics against her.
Watari has grown concerned towards the extended period of time of the two, considering it was when L was most at disadvantage, and decides to check upon them himself.
Light immediately lets go of L and dumped a generous amount of liquid soap onto his abdomen, acting as if he was in the middle of showering, and weren't groping L a good second ago.
"We're halfway done, Watari-san!". Light yelled, glancing at L who is panting, face red. Her legs were quite shaky and, frankly, Light was beginning to be afraid that she's going to fall. "Do you mind grabbing us a few clothes? Ryuzaki looks like she's going to faint!".
Watari narrowed his eyes; who does this man thinks he is? Ordering him around like that... L was right to question that boy. It hasn't even been a day when Light has interferes their comfort space, and Watari decided that he already disliked Light.
"Do the two of you have anything to cover yourself with? I need to come in and check upon Ryuzaki", he said, hands already mangling around the door knob. From the other side of the door, L could be seen glaring daggers directly at Light, as he begins to pour soap onto her, leaving only her to scrub it. Noticing, he goes, "What?".
"Don't you 'what' me, bastard", she sneers, "The hell was that?", she asked, eyes not leaving Light's. She doesn't care if Light doesn't like it— she's not letting him go do what he wants this time around.
"I was merely looking for answers. Can't I at least be concern of my friend?", Light defended, "You're not going to tell Watari, are you?".
L didn't bother responding, giving Light the idea of her answer.
"Oh my God, you are", he gasped, chuckling, "I never pegged you as someone who'd report to their parents of about almost everything".
"I have every right to", she claims, "You were seconds away from molesting me in the shower!".
'And Watari isn't even my parents!', she mentally argue, but wisely kept her mouth shut, 'It would be a no brainer to tell him! You were all over me a second ago! God knows what you'll do had it not been the fact that Watari is just outside!'.
"I didn't touch your private parts. Not even an inch close", said Light, almost as if it was the obvious, "Why would I molest you? Why would I, pray tell, force an intimacy upon you in a place where I know you hold all the power? That doesn't sound reasonable on my part now, does it?".
L was about to answer when Watari barges in, not surprised by the nudity beholds before him. Light could see the irritation and suspicion behind those icy blue eyes.
"I apologise for mg abrupt intrusion, ma'am, but you didn't answer me and were unusually quiet. I had to make sure that this man...", he glances towards Light momentarily, "Didn't lay his hands on you...".
Instead of L, Light answers, "I would never commit such act on Ryuzaki, Watari-san".
Had Light known better, he would've thought Watari was glowering at him.
"Watari", L suddenly spoke, gaining all attention, "Do you mind preparing both Light-kun and I's night attire? We'll be out shortly", a pause, "...and I'm fine. Light-kun didn't do anything. Soap got into my eyes, and I was trying to wash it out. I apologise for making you worried".
She wanted to scream at herself for defending that man, but she's also too uncomfortable to talk it out any further. Right now at least.
She just wants to be out of the shower.
"Is that so? Well, I'm sorry, Light-kun, for jumping into conclusions", said Watari, although it was all talks. He didn't believe L one bit when it comes to this sorts of matter concerning herself. L tends to lie in these kinds of situation, to either save her pride or other's skin. He will investigate of their relationship himself and will decided of Light's confinement later, "Of course. Do you wish for some treats, as well?".
"Tea and some cupcakes would suffice. I'm intending in sleeping tonight".
"Certainly".
Light simply watched as the two exchanges in request, partaking in a conversation. L has fallen directly into his trap, and it's only the matter of time before he got her exactly where he wanted her to be.
He gleams, heart thumping as he washed off the remaining soaps that begins to bubbles. In his mind, he snickers.
'Good girl'.
L snap a peek at Light as the man is still standing right in front of the mirror, not making a move. He didn't have a shirt on and only put on a simple pants, although one was conveniently provided for him. He acted as if he was innocent, as if he didn't do anything to her during their first shower together, whilst L is trying her best wanting to forget all about it when her mind was merciless, displaying of the memory again and again and again like an endless cycle of loop.
L didn't even know why she didn't tattle on that man. Watari was right there— and by the looks of it, that man didn't quite have a fondness over Light either. He was silently grumbling and holding off an energy filled with hate. He would, without a doubt, believe L if she said that Light has attacked her in inappropriate manners, even if it was false accusation.
Now she's regretting that she hadn't.
She's regretting the fact that her first instict was to cover it up and lie.
And now she realised; things were way more awkward than she anticipated.
It was silent filled with dread, L longed to throw herself off the balcony. She didn't say anything when she heard a rustling of mattresses behind her, along with the sounds of the chains dangling when an arm crept around her waist, pulling her close to whoever that was pulling her. Even then, she kept her cool and kept quiet, not wanting to give Light the satisfaction.
She was sure she had given him a blast whilst in the shower by displaying a shit ton of emotions, now she's sparring herself some pride and ego.
"I'm sorry", Light suddenly said, catching her off guard, "You must hate me now, huh?".
Don't say anything. He's baiting you.
"Why the silent treatment, Ryuzaki?", he asked, voice pleading, "Come on, talk please. I know I went too far, but I just couldn't help it", 'it angers me when someone touches something that belongs to me', "It angers me that someone would do such thing to you...".
L knew that she was fighting a losing battle when she said, "Light-kun must know to stick his nose at only certain problem. This is no a business for him to poke around".
Light let out a sigh, which tickles the back of her neck, "I know. It's just... I'm sorry, okay? Will you forgive me?", he asked, sounding hopeful. It's starting to get real annoying now.
L let out a meek grumble, "I hope Light-kun is aware that I don't owe him forgiveness simply because he apologised. He got to do something better to earn it".
Light smiles, "Well, will Ryuzaki-san tell Light-kun what he needs to do to earn her forgiveness? He is chained to her, after all. He doesn't want to deal with cold shoulders every time he wakes up".
There wasn't a respond this time. L was too weak and too tired to deal with Light, she decided to let him wonders in silence. She hadn't had a good sleep for about the week, and she's not letting some obstacle such a child to stand in the way between her and a well-deserved sleep.
As she was about to succumb into slumber, she felt someone whispering into her ears, casting a gentle butterfly kiss onto her temple.
"Good night, L".
For the first time in her life, L felt like crying.
