We're headed back to Danville for this chapter as we take a look at Melissa and how she's preparing to meet her idol, Kim Possible. Plus, after being mentioned here and there a few times, we finally meet Veruca Salt and find out her evil plans for Candace and Melissa. ROLL IT!
(Danville - 10:30 PM)
Mrs. Chase was awaiting the return of her daughter. She was in the living room of her house, watching one of hers and Melissa's favorite shows - 'The Bachelor'
"What is taking Melissa and her friends so long?" Mrs. Chase asked herself, looking at the digital clock on the combo video/DVD/Blu-Ray player.
Then, a car with Sara and Milo pulled up into the Chase driveway. Milo and Melissa were in the back seat with several bags of well-hung clothes laid out on hangers. Once the car came to a complete stop. Milo and Melissa undid their seatbelts and tried to gather the bags.
"Melissa, Milo, can you slowly come out the back seat?" Sara asked, trying to round up her little brother and his girlfriend.
"I'm...trying, Sara. So many...hanging clothes...to gather..." Melissa strained, gathering some of her new clothes. She gathered eight of her new outfits with Milo, likely formal dresses. "Milo, I can not wait for you to see me in these..."
"Melissa, you know I'll always love you, cheerleader or not..." Milo said to his ginger girlfriend, pecking her on the cheek before helping her carry her new dresses to her room.
"Hey, Sara! So why were you and the girls so late?" Mrs. Chase asked.
"You mean other than having to drop off Lydia and Amanda and having to help them with their haul?" Sara asked. "There was a major wreck on the interstate. Traffic was a mess. I don't know if Murphy's law had anything to do with it, but the cause was a jack-knife tractor trailer. Gallons of ice cream and hot fudge spilled everywhere. Since the Highway Patrol and Danville PD were there, we had to take a detour and...it was a total mess. Thankfully no one was hurt," the blonde explained.
"It was worse than a last lap wreck at Talladega," Melissa added.
Mrs. Chase thought to herself, wondering what her sister Linda would think of the scene Sara, Milo and Melissa had witnessed. Then it occurred to her that Mrs. Flynn-Fletcher would think that it would make great material for late night show hosts like Fallon, Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.
"You and Milo need any help there, Melissa?" Mrs. Chase called out to her daughter.
Before Melissa could answer, Sara jumped in. "I'll handle it, Mrs. Chase!" the blonde fangirl chimed in, taking the middle of the dress haul up to Melissa's room with Melissa's mom following closely behind. Once they got inside Melissa's room, Melissa swooned as she laid out the dresses on her bed, tearing up at the thought of dancing with Milo at homecoming and prom, kissing her jinx of a boyfriend.
"Mom...these dresses are wonderful..." Melissa cried into the loving arms of her mother.
Even Pepper was crying, "My little spark...she's all grown up..." Sara smiled and hugged her brother, knowing that Milo and Melissa were practically inseparable since they were kids.
Milo then turned to his girlfriend's mother. "Hey, Mrs. Chase...I know Melissa's been having these 'Veruca-related flashbacks', as she calls 'em. Would it be alright if I slept over tonight?" the jinx asked.
"Milo, you're practically family! Of course you can, sweetheart!" Pepper smiled.
Milo smiled and pecked Melissa on the cheek. "Be back in about a half hour...gotta get what I need for our sleepover, 'Liss..."
"See ya later, Milo honey..." Melissa replied in a hushed tone, kissing Milo sweetly before he headed back to his sister's car.
(Back at Kim's house in Middleton - 11:15 PM)
Kim rolled out the sleeping bags for Monique and Bonnie on either side of her bed in her room.
"Here they are, girls!" Kim exclaimed, patting on the bags below. "All ready and puffed up for you!"
"Okay, Kim is awesome, Monique!" Bonnie squealed.
"Girl, you are totally amazing!" Monique added, lying down on the sleeping bag and fluffing up the pillow. Bonnie did the same.
"Am I, or am I totally?" Kim questioned with a devious grin. She then turned to the TV and blurted out loud, "Hey, girls...you, uh, wanna watch some TV?"
Monique shrugged her shoulders "Sure, Kim, I guess..."
"Alright, K," Bonnie replied.
Kim clicked on the remote to her TV in front of her bed. What the trio saw first was a news report concerning a familiar and vile cheerleader more despicable than Dementor and Shego combined.
"Oh no..." Kim gagged. "Veruca..."
"Shield your eyes!" Bonnie freaked, hiding her face with Kim's Pandaroo.
"Totally not worth it..." Monique sneered with disgust.
What they saw was their sworn foe, Veruca Darling Salt, clad in her crown pajamas and fuzzy high-heels, in her penthouse at Middleton Juvenile Penitentiary, running her fingers through her money while sitting on her golden lion throne.
"Change the channel...please!" Bonnie yelled out.
"Change it...change it...change it!" Monique cried out to Kim.
Kim nodded her head and flipped through the channels as fast as she could before landing on something they all liked. "Sweet! TeenNick has a 'Drake & Josh' marathon!"
"Oh my gosh! I love that show, K!" Bonnie exclaimed, handing Pandaroo back to Kim.
"Ditto!" Monique replied.
However, the commotion between the trio of girls attracted the attention of Kim's troublesome twin brothers.
"Did you girls just say 'Drake & Josh' is on?" Tim asked.
"You know we love that show, Kim!" Jim replied.
Kim growled. "You tweebs! What are you doing up? It's well past your bedtime!"
"Uh...uh...gotta go!" Jim and Tim said in unison as they ran off, cowering at the sight of Kim in 'insane sister mode'.
"I'm sorry, girls. I just had enough of the Tweebs' mischief for one day...especially considering my period started up at the same time they swiped my lip gloss for their experiments..."
"I hear ya, Kim. Connie and Lonnie were like that with me when I was younger, though not to the extent that Jim and Tim are to you," Bonnie said, putting a hand on Kim's shoulder. "And if it's any consolation...my cycle started up today too, K."
"As did mine..." Monique added.
Kim scratched her head, trying to wrap her mind at the thought of her, Monique and Bonnie all starting their period at the exact same time. "Okay...that's way freaky."
"Kinda reminds me of what happened when Jen, Caitlin and Nikki had that happen to them..." Monique added in. Then she looked at her watch. "Kim, Bonnie, we gotta get some sleep!"
"Oooohhhh...Monique, you're right!" Bonnie agreed.
"I've gotta help those girls in Danville get ready for Middleton cheer tryouts!" Kim said as she got up to turn out the lights.
"Hmm...wonder where this Candace girl lives..." Monique thought to herself.
Bonnie then snapped her fingers, as if she had an idea. "Why not get Wade to put a GPS lock on her location? Doesn't he, like, have the whole world wired?"
"That may be a good idea, Bonnie..." Kim said as she snatched her Kimmunicator from her nightstand.
Wade quickly came on-screen. "What's up, Kim?"
"Wade, before I go to bed, I so need to find where Linda Flynn-Fletcher lives in the Danville area," Kim insisted. "I don't want to be in the embarrassing sitch of looking all over the city for her house and wasting gas on mom's car!"
"Yeah, that would be embarrassing," Wade agreed as he typed on his computer. "Let me just put in the coordinates and...BINGO! She lives on the southern part of Danville, not too far from your house, Kim."
"You rock in HD, Wade! You definitely beat any so-called GPS!" Kim complimented with a thumbs up.
"I do what I can, Kim! I'll also keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary!" Wade promised as the Kimmunicator screen went black.
While the Middleton crew was talking to each other, a fly was buzzing outside the Possible house. But this was no ordinary fly...
It was a super-enhanced cybertronic spy-fly! It flew on the strength of its electronic wings and within the hour, it reached its destination - Veruca's penthouse at Middleton Juvenile Penitentiary. One of Veruca's army of servants opened a window to let the spy-fly through. It then landed on a solid gold personalized table with Veruca's initial 'V' carved on it.
"Excellent work, my spy-fly..." Veruca cackled as the fly landed on her finger. She then ordered one of her most tech-savvy servants. "To me, Servant 64!"
One of her servants wearing a gray uniform and a red number 64 bowed before her. "What shall I do for you, Most Sacred Princess from the Heavens Veruca?"
"Download the information from the spy-fly to my laptop so that I may transfer all the data to Rebecca and the rest of my subordinates!" Veruca demanded and handed the fly over to Servant 64.
"At once, my Queen! We shall find out what girls that scum Kim Possible is trying to put on the squad to overthrow you!" He then headed to the other side of the penthouse, where the laptop was stationed. He hooked the spy-fly up to ethernet cables and started downloading the data onto Veruca's laptop.
Minutes later and after some prodding from Veruca, the download was complete.
She snapped her fingers. "Servants, bring my royal golden throne here as soon as possible! I need a place to sit down and chat with my subordinates to hatch a plan to dismantle any cheerleaders Kimberly Ann tries to bring into her ranks!"
The strongest of her servants immediately carried a solid gold throne encrusted with diamonds that made the initials 'VS' and lowered it to her level. She then got onto the fine, plush cotton cushions and the servants carried her to the computer area so she could see the data that was recently acquired. Veruca got off her throne and reached her laptop to read the information.
"Candace Gertrude Flynn, eh? Interesting...prone to insanity...has inventive brothers. Those brothers could pose an issue..."
One thing soon caught her eye on the information she collected. The one thing Candace held most dear - her boyfriend Jeremy.
Veruca cackled in a tone that would even scare Shego. "Bingo...I'll crack her like an egg!" she exclaimed. "Now onto the next girl...Melissa Sabrina Chase. 14 years old...incoming freshman...she's been to 14 Major League Baseball parks. Planning on going to T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Globe Life Field in Arlington and Truist Park in Atlanta this season. Well traveled girl - I like this one. Too bad she's going to be among Kimberly Ann's ranks. Perfect 4.0 GPA...smart one, too,"
Then she saw something that scared her, the one thing that could tear her whole plan apart.
"Boyfriend - Milo Murphy. Deals with Extreme Hereditary Murphy's Law syndrome..."
Veruca turned back to Servant 64. "Servant 64...what is Extreme Hereditary Murphy's Law syndrome?"
"Great Goddess Veruca...Extreme Hereditary Murphy's Law syndrome is an condition that afflicts those in the bloodline of Edward A. Murphy Jr., the psychologist behind Murphy's law. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong...around them."
Veruca gulped. With Milo around, anything she and the rest of the Mean Middleton Posse may be doomed to fail. "Uh oh...we're in big trouble..."
How right you are, Veruca! With Milo out and about, chaos is sure to come! Next up: Kim Possible meets the two Danville crews! See ya then and remember...
IT'S MILO'S WORLD AND WE'RE ALL LIVING IN IT!
