A slip of the tongue caused the whole shrinking but what if the word size was replaced with another

Crysta was flying through the forest on her way to mount morn. She couldn't stop thinking about the smoke she saw coming from that area and despite Batty's warnings, she drew closer to it. As she grew closer to it, she noticed several trees with large red "X"s on them. She went close to one and pressed her hand on it and noticed it was a type of thick liquid. As she looked around at the other trees she heard something in the distance.

"Zack?"

Hearing this, she made her way closer to it.

"Zack?"

"Zack?"

"ZAAAAACCCKKKK!"

She could hear that it was now close by but something else caught her attention

It was a type of rhythm that she didn't recognize. She then heard a voice in the quiet rhythm's direction

"Yeah, yeah, what's the big deal?!"

The faraway voice seemed to respond to him "you finish marking those trees yet?"

The close by voice answered, "I'm getting to it, don't have a cow sheesh!"

Crysta followed the one that spoke and saw who it was. She flew close and hid behind the leaves of a plant to see a large person. The person was wearing a blue fabric on his torso and for the bottom, she assumed that it was a long dark blue loincloth. She noticed that the weird rhythm was coming from him and he was putting the red "X" on the trees. She watched as he went to another tree to do the same thing but he paused when he noticed a big black wicked looking tree. She ducked behind a tree as he walked by brushing his arm on a tree causing some of the bark to fall around her. She flew higher to watch what he would do

Zack rubbed his arm to soothe some of the scratches that were now on his arm. As he got to the tree, he looked the tree over and had one thought about it. "Cree-py…." he looked around the tree and saw that it was like all the other trees kept their distance. As he looked at the tree again, a fly began to buzz around him and he used his spray can to try and kill the fly. Once he got the fly he smirked and left to continue his job.

What he didn't realize is that in spraying erratically at the fly, he made a very crude "X" on the wicked tree, which began to bubble as a faint hissing voice spoke out "He~Xis~"

Zack was about to get to the next tree but he noticed something blue flying in a bundle of leaves to his right.

Crysta was going from leaf to leaf to get a better view on the large being but when she saw him coming at her fast, she panicked and bolted away from where she was just in time as the large figure burst his face through the leaves. She flew as fast as she could to get away from him and even hid in a bunch of dried banana leave only to have to fly away. As she looked back, she saw that he was keeping up with her, that is until he got tangled up in vines. Before she could put some distance between them, Crysta heard a loud buzzing noise and looked towards it. She gasped in horror when she saw that one of the trees was being cut by something. She felt it's agonizing pain from where she was and was in the middle of panicking until she was caught by the large being

Zack was proud of himself when he caught the little firefly. After that fly, he just felt the need to catch this one. It was weird too. It glowed blue and for a split second, he thought it looked like a small human. Now he caught it and was opening his hand to get a look at it. When he opened his hands he saw the blue glow that was there before and when his eyes landed on what he caught he was stunned to see a …..small girl. He couldn't comprehend this fact and wasn't paying attention when she spoke

Crysta was looking up at the large being that caught her and in her peripheral, she saw the tree that was cut, fall towards them. "Look out!" she didn't know what to do until she remembered the spell she used on Batty. She assumed that this being was also hard of seeing and chose to use the spell once more. But in her panic, she rushed through it "bless your eyes with magic light, I give the gift of fairy life -oh! Sight!" she shook her hands a bit at her mistake

Due to her slip of the tongue, Zack had shrunken down to her size and from the burst of air, along with the immediate size change, Zack was flung into the air towards the tree.

Crysta shook her head from the impact of the tree and when she cleared her vision, she looked around for Zack. she paused a bit when she saw the monster begin to eat the tree that it had cut down. As she looked at the horrific sight, she spotted Zack unconscious and caught in a spider web on one of the branches. "Oh no!" she flew to him and began to try and free him from it. As she tugged, she looked back to see that they were getting closer to the teeth of the massive monster. "Come one! Come on!" she put all her strength in her last tug but the elasticity of the web pulled her into it and now she was stuck as well. She was now terrified at the situation and looked up to see that they were only moments from being eaten. She closed her eyes and covered her head, waiting for the inevitable.

Out of nowhere, Batty flew down and snatched the two of them just a split second before the spot they were at would be shredded, while also ripping Zack's shirt a bit.

Batty flew higher and away from the monster as fast as he could. "Lift! I need lift!"

Batty had made it back to the dense part of the forest that he and Crysta had come from with no sign of the monster they got away from. "'Don't go' I said, 'bad idea' I said. But did you listen? No, no. no one listens to Batty." he then looked at his passengers and looked at the newcomer in curiosity "now what do we have her…...shoes…..animals don't wear shoes." he then noticed what he had and brought his claw holding Zack up and panicked "a human!" He, unfortunately, stopped paying attention to where he was going and he heard Crysta shout out

"A tree!"

Batty looked up and screamed as he slammed into said tree and letting go of his passengers, with Zack landing on a branch

Crysta was able to catch herself mid-air and looked toward Zack, who was still unconscious. As she got closer to him she noticed that his top covering was ripped but what really caught her attention was what she saw on his back.

Zack groaned as he began to wake up. As he was regaining his senses he noticed a few things. His head felt like it was being bombarded by several hundred voices at once like they were all talking to each other, he felt like he was laying on a wooden floor and something on his back was hurting. He opened his eyes to see where he was and he saw a girl with shaggy black hair looking down at him. He groaned as he sat up and rubbed his head "ok….what happened?"

Crysta was still stunned at what she had done and she tried to come up with something to say. After biting her lower lip for a bit she nervously answered "well I saved you from that monster earlier and when I used a spell to get you to see it, I accidentally…." she didn't get to finish what she was saying as Zack bolted to his feet and screamed out

"Wait!what monster!?"

Crysta pointed in the direction that they came from "the one that was eating all those trees. If I hadn't been there you would have been eaten too."

Zack was looking up at her and he then noticed that she was still taller than he was. After he shook his head, he looked down and noticed that her bare feet were not touching the ground, he quickly looked up and saw wings on her back. She was flying! "Uh…..what are you?"

Crysta smiled as she spoke "I'm a fairy. What about you?"

Zack smiled at this and shook his head "human, last time I checked."

Crysta felt the need to correct him as her spell did more than just shrink him to her size

Zack was about to continue but something on his back felt restrained. It felt like he had his arm restrained from a tight shirt but his arms were both free. He moved his arm over his shoulder to see of he could feel what it was that was causing this odd feeling but he stopped when he felt something paper-thin. Not only that he could feel his hand touch it. He ran his hand up whatever it was and he could feel it as well. It was only when he got to the base of it did he realize that something was attached to his back. He panicked as he turned his head to see if he could catch a glimpse of what it was and he stopped when he saw one wing sticking up from over his left shoulder. "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!"

Crysta was biting her finger now in nervousness "that's what I was trying to say earlier. I used a spell on you and seemed to have made a mistake."

Zack was panicking, which was not helped with the fact that one of his wings was stuck in his shirt. He ripped of what was left of his shirt to reveal that he also had a set of wings on his back just like the girl "what did you do?

Crysta looked anywhere but at him as she answered: "I turned you into a fairy."

End

I don't know how this popped into my head. I hadn't seen this movie in years. Like, it had been a decade since I had seen the movie but as I was waking up one morning, there it was.
