A series of unfortunate events that have made the history of the Dragon Ball world slightly deviate from its normal course has caused the subject of the world's most embarrassing folly to get another chance to, hopefully, not mess things up nearly as bad while residing on Earth.

Here lies a world in which Goku retains the memories of his final moments before leaving Planet Vegeta; Grandpa Gohan, subsequent to dropping Goku, has a senzu bean gifted from Muten Roshi. He gives it to Son Goku, who keeps more of his sense of identity. This only drives him to gain a deeper understanding of himself. One small change couldn't be that drastic, could it?
