Takes place after early S8 breakup and goes AU from there. Rick separates from Kate, and she is enticed to join Jackson's world. The duo is brought back together years later due to a professional encounter between Kate and a very different Alexis. There is a Casket ending though not with the passion most would like. AU. Kate opens up a bakery after being shot. She meets a customer named Richard Castle. Sets place around the year of season 4/5. (It's been years since my last fanfic, but for JJ I came back out of "retirement").

Castle and Beckett travel with their family to the Aloha State for spring break and explore from Mauna Kea to Hilo to see everything the Big Island has to offer. A surprise request then leads to an extension of their vacation and reuniting with good friends on the West Coast. Forty-first in the Beware Of Darkness series. Caskett pairing.

This story begins just before the kiss in Knockdown. Only in this version, Rick admits his feelings for Kate and she is forced to respond.

It's Castle's birthday, and one of his gifts is that his little girl is moving back home…without Pi in her life. He didn't think he could be happier. (Very AU after the May 3 episode and finale. LOL One of those stories that was intended to stop around chapter 3 or 4 but wandered off on its own.) Involves family, some excitement, and so much fluff I should be ashamed.
