They were getting married. He could barely believe it. Him and Dora. Getting married. It was just... wow. Remus was still truly at a loss for words and he had been the one doing the proposing. He had known it was going to happen.

It didn't make him any less happy because, well, she had said yes! Nymphadora Tonks had said yes to marrying him! Remus was quite prepared to shout it from the rooftops but he restrained himself. Barely.

"Youve got that look on your face again," Dora said fondly.

They were curled up together on the sofa - their usual position in the evening these days. It was like they were making up for a lost year of touching and just being together. Remus definitely had no complaints. He looked down at her questioningly.

"What look?"

"That goofy look."

He gave her a mock outraged look and poked her in the side. She wriggled but grinned at him.

"I don't have a goofy look," he said imperiously, making her giggle.

"Oh," she said, adjusting herself that she was (unfortunately) no longer against him and instead sitting upright. "You definitely do."

"I think you'll find that I don't."

"Now, that's a lie, Remus Lupin."

He raised an eyebrow at her. "Well, what is this goofy look that I am supposed to have, then?"

"Well." she began quite decisively. "Your eyes get all glassy and far-away looking..."

"Far away looking?" Remus couldn't help but interrupt.

"Yes. Like you're staring at something way into the distance."

"Oh-kay."

She ignored his sceptical tone and continued, "then you get this weird, fond look in your eyes that people usually reserve for baby animals or actual babies... and then you do this weird lopsided thing with your mouth as you smile."

She poked the corner of his mouth for good measure and he gave her a fake growl.

"So, yeah, it's a really goofy look," she finished.

"I apologise for being so happy," he said solemnly, struggling to keep a straight face. "It's inappropriate."

That got him another eye roll.

"Obviously not. It's good to be happy about good things. Doesn't make it any less weird though."

More and more bad news was coming in every day so this was something (no matter small and personal) to counteract that. The best way to counteract it. Love.

"You're weird," he said childishly.

'Thwack' Dora swatted him on the chest.

"Arse," she scolded but she was still smiling.

He grabbed her hand and gave it a kiss.

"I'm your arse, though."

"Damn right you are. And soon we'll have the rings to prove it."

"No getting rid of each other," Remus finished fondly.

"Exactly."

It was nice to be on the same page like this. Even if they were a bit crazy.

"Well, not until after the wedding, anyway," Remus added with a teasing smile. "Which we should probably start organising."

Tonks couldn't help but scrunch her nose up at the thought. Remus hide smile. Organising. He knew that was basically a curse word in her book.

"Do we have to?" She whined.

Really? She was resorting to whining already? Remus raised an eyebrow at her.

"If you want a wedding of any sort, we do."

Your standard wedding did take a while to plan out, after all.

"But I don't want a normal wedding, Remus," Dora told him, shaking her head. "When have I ever done anything normally?"

Well, that was true. That was why he loved her after all. But that didn't necessarily translate into her not wanting a traditional sort of wedding. People could be surprising, after all.

"Not for as long as I've known you."

"Exactly. So why should our wedding be any different?"

Why should it indeed? Remus supposed that he was really just going off tradition. And probably projecting the work he'd seen the Weasleys put into Bill and Fleur's.

"Unless, you want a traditional sort of wedding?" Dora added somewhat anxiously.

Did he really? It would mean more waiting when he would just rather already be together. Not that they weren't already together but officially. Forever. And something simple would be less fuss...

Okay. He was sold.

Shaking his head, he replied honestly, "I don't want one either. I just want to be married to you."

That got him a beaming smile and a kiss on the lips.

"All I want are my parents, Moody and whoever you want to be present," she continued. "I've never wanted some over the top, big ceremony."

Like the one that was currently underway at the Weasleys, Remus was sure they both were thinking.

"Who do you want to come by the way?"

Dora was now looking at him expectantly. He opened and closed his mouth and then frowned, not knowing how to answer. Everyone he automatically thought of... well, they were no longer with them. There wouldn't be James or Lily or Sirius or P- none of them. He was the only one left. So, who did he want to come?

"Harry is probably out of the question, isn't he?" Remus said with a sigh, rubbing a hand across his face.

They couldn't take him away from the safety of his relatives with no plan in place to keep everyone involved safe. Something that was still ongoing in the Order Meetings.

Dora shrugged, "Maybe. Maybe not. I suppose it depends on when you want the wedding to happen. We could sort it out so it happens after we get him?"

Remus shook his head. "We don't know when that's going to be."

She scrunched up her nose at that, remembering all the arguing that had been going on over that very matter. They just ended up talking in circles.

"Let's just try to organise the wedding as soon as we can then," he added. "As long as you have no problems with that?"

"Definitely not," Dora said immediately.

"And if Harry is here when the date comes around, he can attend and if he's not, he won't," Remus finished.

He was hopeful that Harry could. It would be nice to have some of his "family" present.

"Well, we won't rule him out, okay?" she said encouragingly. He nodded at her. "Is there anyone else?"

Remus thought for a moment and was about to shake his head when a thought struck him.

"Minerva," he said.

Dora gave him a blank look. "McGonagall?"

"That is her name," he teased gently.

"I know that. I just didn't realise that you were that close to her."

He nodded and smiled fondly, "I wouldn't have got through school without her."

That and he didn't think she would ever forgive him if she didn't know about his wedding.

"Okay, then. Moody, McGonagall and my parents," she recited and then frowned. "Is that it?"

"Kingsley?" Remus suggested, knowing she was close to him and he got on quite well with the man as well.

"Oh yeah," she let out a laugh. "Can't leave out him."

"Or whoever is officiating it," he added because they need that too.

"That too. See? This is going to be easy. No fuss at all."

No fuss indeed. Remus actually felt himself start to get excited. Their wedding was actually going to happen. Soon.

"Okay," he said decisively. "Let's organise ourselves a wedding."
