Remus knew that he was acting on edge today but he couldn't help it. Nor could he help the pacing he did or the staring into space. He did feel guilty about it, however, when he realised what he was doing. He didn't want to be like this.

"Sorry," he apologised when Dora waved a hand in front of his face.

"Thinking about the date?" She asked gently.

Because she was an amazing person like that. What did he do to deserve such a person?

He nodded numbly, not able to reply. Because today was Hallowe'en. All Hallows Eve. The day for pumpkins and ghosts and ghouls and all the sweets you can eat. And celebrations. But also pain and sorrow and loss. And grief. Grief was the big one. At least for him. Was he really the only one left to grieve them? It certainly felt like it these days.

Dora didn't say anything to him, not that she really could say anything to make it better, but instead buried herself into him in some semblance of a hug. Automatically, he wrapped his arms around her and held her tight, breathing in her scent deeply. Her scent and their baby's. Because there was no doubt about it now, there were two separate scents there.

"Why don't we tell people today?" Remus asked suddenly.

Dora blinked at him. "What?"

"Yeah," he said, warming up to his impulsive announcement. "Why don't we tell everyone about the baby?"

"The baby that we're still freaking out about?" She asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Yes," he replied unashamedly. "Because even with both of our nerves together we are still calmer than James was when he found out Lily was pregnant."

"Seriously?" Dora looked extremely interested in that. "I normally hear about James being confident and full of fun and ideas."

"He was all of those," Remus agreed. "But he was also protective and, well, I guess you would say... high strung?"

"High strung?" Dora repeated incredulously.

"Maybe that's not the tight word exactly," he said thoughtfully, frowning as he tried to put it into words properly. "It was more like he saw himself as the one who had to look after people but he also had a rather overactive imagination."

"Sounds exhausting," Dora joked which did get a smile from him.

"He could be. Lily spent her time being thoroughly exasperated by him or highly amused because of his antics."

"They sound like they balanced each other out."

"They did," Remus said quietly. And then he wanted to change the subject. "So, should we tell them?"

"This is about the time people make their announcements anyway, isn't it?" Dora asked after thinking for a moment.

Remus shrugged. "It's normally after the first trimester. When you're less likely to..."

"Have a miscarriage," Dora finished for him. "Mum and Dad told me. And we're beyond that now. I'm about four months along, right?"

"Nearly," Remus agreed. "Or around that anyway because you can't say exactly when the baby was conceived so any date is really as estimate."

"Let's tell them then," Dora decided. "It's safer now and we're in a better headspace about it."

Remus winced slightly but what she said was true.

So that's what they did. There was an Order meeting today and after everything was done and dusted, they made their formal announcement. They got plenty of congratulations and hugs and knowing looks, it seemed some people had already guessed. They even got a loud "I knew it!" from Molly which surprised no one.

The twins took the opportunity to shake both of their hands very vigorously.

"We knew something was going to happen today," George said.

"Excuse me?" Remus asked in amazement.

"Something always happens on Hallowe'en," Fred said very matter-of-factly which made everyone stare at him.

"Excuse me?" Remus repeated in confusion.

"Troll in the dungeon, chamber opening, uh, goblet of fire fiasco," George listed off.

"You forgot Sirius breaking into Hogwarts in our fifth year," Fred reminded him.

"I didn't forget, I was leaving that one open for you."

Remus didn't know whether to laugh or be concerned at all these events. Had they really all happened on Hallowe'en? That was insane.

"It sounds like the date is cursed," Remus said wryly, only half joking.

"Basically," the twins replied.

"So, what does that mean for today exactly?" Dora asked, trying to figure out what they should prepare should prepare for.

The twins shrugged. "Something big "

"We've already had that weeks ago with the chaos in the Ministry," Remus pointed out.

"And my pregnancy isn't exactly something big," Dora said. "I mean, it's good and all but not big news."

"A baby is always big news," George told her, which made her smile proudly.

"Well, we thought that we would have been the Hallowe'en event because we have a big plan for today." Fred began.

"More like a big idea," George continued.

"But we are announcing it on Hallowe'en," Fred finished.

"Deliberately being a big thing?" Remus asked with a chuckle.

"Exactly!"

"Maybe this way the universe will be happy and nothing else will happen."

Remus shook his head and laughed. He didn't think that was quite how it worked but who was he to burst their bubble.

"Look, we'll tell the rest of the Order when we get it up and running," George said conspiratorially.

"But we think you two would like to be actively involved," Fred finished.

Now that piqued both of their interests.

The twins went onto explain their idea for a radio show. A secret one. One to help moral, keep everyone's spirits up, things like that. Because "people always need to be able to laugh at something and war doesn't change that," George had said succinctly.

Dora had suggested that they shouldn't just assume whatever measures they took made it completely safe and advised them to use a code or something when talking, just in case Death Eaters got wind of it. Of course, that lead to mild teasing of her channelling Moody which she gave a sad smile at.

Remus changed the subject by saying that as well as keeping people's spirits up they should also give people real, unbiased news on what's going on.

"We were going to give people advise on how to stay safe," Fred told them. "So, the news could come under that."

"It's going to be a lot of work," Remus said. "But I think you could do it."

"With help?" Fred asked hopefully.

"With help," Remus agreed, nodding. "I'll be happy to."

"I think it's a good idea," Dora said eagerly and then she turned to him. "It will be something to do."

"That's safe," George threw in, nodding at Dora's stomach.

Dora grumbled at that which made Remus smile. Oh, he knew she wouldn't do anything stupid when pregnant - she had made that very clear before he even brought it up, after all - but that didn't mean that she wasn't annoyed by her inability to do overly active work for the Order. And she had full right to feel that way. Hell, even he felt annoyed about his physical incapacity in the day or two after the full moon so who knew how frustrated she was. She was so used to being active... not that this was going to be active exactly.

Anyway, it was something they could both do with the twins and Lee Jordan, who apparently knew a thing or two about radios.

"This is going to be fun," Dora said eagerly.
