AN: This is my first attempt at a true series on this site. Comments are welcome and encouraged. I am beginning with InuYasha, but who is next can be up to you. I'm having all of the cast of InuYasha making an appearance, eventually. Also, because of a small complaint, I have decided to branch out a bit. I admit, this gives me a little more freedom, but I want to stay with my original prompt. I don't own anything, but I wouldn't say no if the owners gave it to me...

Sorry for the delay!

What would happen if the various characters from InuYasha found themselves in Rivendell in time for the formation of the Fellowship? Let's find out.

Kagura

Elrond looked upon the dwarf who had just lost his ax to the power of the ring's defenses in exasperation.

/Fool…Did he really think that had not been tried before?/

He then stated, "The Ring cannot be destroyed, Gimli, son of Gloin by any craft that we here posses-"

The Elf Lord is interrupted as a pinkish orb, flecked by what looks to be a combination of crimson and purple energies, suddenly appears in the air over the pedestal. It grows rapidly, causing all to leap to their feet, and draw weapons. Suddenly, with a popping sound, the orb vanishes, revealing a dark haired woman gracefully crouched on the ground.

Gandalf stood and immediately took up a defensive position, one word ringing in his head.

/Demon!/

Noticing quite quickly that she was in a no win position, the allowed the fan in her hand to drop to the floor.

"Damn you Naraku…" She whispered to herself as she tried to come up with a way to get out of this alive.

/I bet he planned this, that's why it was so easy to get my hands on my heart…/

"What is your name Demon, and what is your reason for being here?" Gandalf spoke.

No one involved had any illusions that it was anything other than a command, despite it being phrased like a question.

"My Name is Kagura. And the reason for my being here is probably payment for my betrayal."

"Who did you betray? And why?" Frodo spoke up from his position behind Gandalf.

Kagura looked up and her eyes narrowed, even as a stray thought passed through her mind.

/I might survive this after all…/

"I betrayed my Master because he enslaved me, as well as my two younger brothers and my elder sister." She said, only twisting the truth a little bit.

Suddenly, she felt something reaching out to her, something dark. Feeling a cold shiver grip her spine, she froze, only moving her eyes, trying to find out who, or what (she had learned her lesion regarding that damn jewel after all) was the source.

Confusion was the main emotion felt, until a soft voice made itself heard.

"You feel him too, don't you?"

Gandalf and the elves, only through force of will, stopped their jaws from dropping as the Demon responded, looking at Frodo, confusion written on her face.

"You feel that too? What is it? Who is it?"

Gandalf relaxed a bit and had to stop himself from reaching for his pipe.

"It is Sauron, and he…"

He was cut off as Kagura scoffed. "Wait, let me guess. He is a Dark Lord who, after a battle involving an army, was thought to be destroyed, when in reality he became an object of incredible power that constantly seduces and corrupts beings by giving them a power boost that eventually become both addictive and degenerative in nature?" The Demon shook her head as she remembered the fast one that Naraku had pulled during the events with the moon goddess.

This time, not even Gandalf was able to keep their jaws from dropping.

"Yes, that's right…"

Kagura groaned and held her head. "What is it, and how do I get rid of it? It's/His power is too much like my former Master's for my comfort. I managed to free myself once, and that was only because he miscalculated and allowed it. I would rather get rid of the possibility of it happening again."

Elrond looked at the Demon carefully before nodding to himself.

"It can only be destroyed by throwing it into Mount Doom."

"Could you help us?"

Frodo spoke again, realizing that this newcomer could provide something that the enemy couldn't predict.

Kagura growled softly to herself before looking up again.

"I help you to get rid of it, you leave me alone?"

Gandalf's eyes narrowed before nodding.

"Alright then, what is it and which way is this Mount Doom?" Kagura said as she pulled one of her feathers out of her hair, as well as snagging her fan with the other hand.

"Let's get this over with."

And now, Bonus Time!

"Let them come! There is one Dwarf in Moria that still draws breath!" Gimli growled as he hefted his axes.

As Aragorn and Legolas drew their bows back, Gandalf's eyes narrowed. "There is something else at work here.

Just then, a breeze seems to pass through the room, and all of the skeletons begin to move. The hobbits freeze in horror as the long dead warriors shake the dust and cobwebs off their bodies and heft their weapons.

"And your kin will fight with you, showing that not even Death will keep a Dwarfish warrior down." Came a voice from above. Looking up, Gandalf beheld two females perched on a massive feather. One had black hair and red eyes, the other, smaller one had white hair and black, empty eyes.

"I cannot keep them here for long sister…" the one with white hair murmurs softly, almost too softly to hear.

"That's alright Kanna. You don't need to hold them long. Just long enough."

With a clacking sound, the re-animated Dwarves rush forward, just as the door is torn off its hinges by a cave troll.

"The Dead Dance one last time…" Kagura says to herself, feeling the drain of her technique draining her of her last dregs. Looking at her sister, only long familiarity with her revealed that she was fading fast as well, her lower half, hidden from below by the feather, savaged and burned.

"We may die this night big sister… but we die free of that wretched Naraku…"

Kanna looked at Kagura and nodded slowly. "Yes. Though, I think…I would be sad…that I never got to Feel anything else…"

The two held onto each other as the fight below concluded with the reanimates falling to the floor as the power supporting and sustaining them winked out, followed soon by the bodies of the two demonesses.

Slowly approaching the downed duo, Gandalf barely even had time to realize what they were before a heart stopping growl filled the cavern, scattering the remains of the goblins and orcs fighting them.

"What new devilry is this?" Boromir pants.

Heart falling, Gandalf tugs on the tip of his hat, hiding his eyes from the others.

"A Balrog. A Demon of the ancient world. This foe is beyond any of you. RUN!"
