Chapter 5: Shark Dressed Women

Will smiled as he carried Sirena towards their house, bridal style, with her tail dangling from his arms and swaying from side to side. It was night time and the shark woman was understandably tired. Their dinner with Trip and his family had certainly taken a toll on her.

As he opened the door and closed it behind him, he heard the sound of chatter coming from the living room… and he didn't recall letting anyone in his home. Sirena heard the chatter too and narrowed her eyes as she stood up from her mate's arms.

"Who the hell broke into our house?!" She hissed.

"I don't know, but we're about to find out." The man said as he slowly reached behind his belt and pulled out a pearl-handled Beretta with a skull with two crossed cutlasses on the handle in silver out of a holster and loaded it.

Sirena, meanwhile, rolled up her sleeves and concentrated for a moment before bio electric growth gauntlets appeared on her arms. The two crept toward the living room and stopped at a corner. They shared a glance before nodding and immediately entered the room.

"HEY!" Will barked as he pointed his gun at the intruders in his home… only to raise an eyebrow when he was greeted by four male mutant turtles in ninja gear and four mutant sharks in Sirena's clothes looking at him with surprised looks. "Okay, explain. Now." He ordered.

"Uh, Leo, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" One of the Turtles questioned.

"Yeah, Donnie. I'm seeing it." Leo nodded. Meanwhile a Turtle in a red mask suddenly pulled out a pair of Sais.

"Who are you guys, and why are you in our house?" Sirena questioned, electricity bouncing along her firearms.

"Well, we were just following these four after we rescued them, and ended up here." A turtle in an orange mask replied as he gestured to the four other mutant sharks in the room.

This made Sirena look at the sharks and she gasped. "Oh my god!" She exclaimed as she saw them look at her. This couldn't be happening! Was she seeing things?!

"Wait, there's more?" Will asked in surprise.

"This is not how I thought today would go…" Leo groaned as he facepalmed.

Meanwhile in New York, Stockman and Hun were sifting through the rubble of their original lab and warehouse for anything worth salvaging. And they were having moderate success.

"What in the world even caused those old fireworks to go off?" Stockman wondered as he looked through the salvage haul.

"Probably some idiot accidentally lit them." Hun shrugged, unsure of the cause himself.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that, Hun." A woman in Foot armor said as she walked up to them, with a shuriken that had the Turtles symbol on it in her hand.

"You've got to be kidding me… Of course it was them!" The gang leader groaned.

"That would explain what happened to the sharks I was going to examine." The scientist of the group mused. "Now we just need to figure out where they went." He added.

"I don't think we'll need to." Karai said as she held up a set of blood samples. "We have what we need here." She added.

(Later)

"Hmm, fascinating." Stockman nodded as he examined the blood samples. "At first I thought that those four sharks were just random ones that were just mutated by chance. Seems I was wrong." He added.

"Is there something interesting you've learned?" Karai asked.

"Indeed there is. It would appear that these four sharks are directly related to the Maneater of Port Clovis." The man explained.

"You can't be serious. That thing has siblings?" Hun asked in disbelief.

"But how? It's mother is dead, and those sharks are much younger." Karai added.

"Well, simply put, those sharks were birthed from a clone of the mother shark." The one eyed and armed man told them.

"Any idea where we can find that clone?" Hun asked.

"Unfortunately, no. At least, not at present." Stockman replied as the metal doors to the lab opened again.

"Then I suggest you figure out a way to find the clone, Stockman." The Shredder said as he stepped inside. "As compensation for your failure. Or else." He added, holding up his hand blade threateningly.

"O-of course, sir." The scientist gulped as he started to get to work.

Meanwhile back in Will and Sirena's house, the group was finally able to sit down and talk things out, and the new shark girls introduced themselves as Jade, Pearl, Sapphire and Ebony.

Jade was a gentle giant sort of girl, and had a rather intelligent brain in her head. Pearl was rather hotheaded and brash, which threw Will off a bit, but he shrugged it off. Sapphire was basically the shark equivalent of a five year old on a sugar rush, and considering she has bio-electric mutations, it actually made her very likable. Ebony, meanwhile, seemed to be the most mentally mature out of all her siblings. She also had Shadow mutations that made her the stealthiest of them, as well. Definitely a good trade for being the smallest of her siblings.

"So you guys are Turtles who were mutated by some sort of green oozed from TCRI canisters. Trained and raised as ninjas by an equally mutated rat. And live in the sewers of New York City." Will recapped as they finished the backstory portion of the conversation, at least for the Turtles.

"That's basically it." Donnie nodded.

"And how'd you meet her?" Raph asked, pointing a thumb at Sirena.

"Two of us met when he purchased me from a slave auction in pirate territory. Before you say anything, that was the only thing he could do." Sirena explained before silencing their possibly angry statements.

"It was literally me against a bunch of pirates. I chose the most harmless option available." Will added.

"I… guess I can't fault you." Leo admitted begrudgingly.

"But this still doesn't make any sense." Will said as he looked at his wife. "I mean, your mom is dead, Sirena." He continued before turning to the other girls. "And you girls are clearly younger than Sirena… What gives?" He wondered aloud.

"I was wondering about that." Donnie nodded in agreement, wondering what the explanation was.

"We overheard some of the people at the facility we were in before mention that our mom was a clone. That's probably it." Ebony spoke up.

"... Bullshit." The soon-to-be married couple said as their eyes widened.

(Later)

Will sighed as he worked on his vintage Royal Quiet Deluxe typewriter on his new book, a rocks glass which was filled with a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned sitting next to him with a few slices of stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions, bananas and jalapeño peppers. Doctored up with Italian seasoning, extra cheese, red chili flakes and fresh garlic.

And meanwhile, the Turtles and girls were lounging next to the fireplace with books in hand and enjoying pizza of the same kind. Sirena was practicing her drawing in another room since she wanted to help her lover out in regards to his books. She had taken it upon herself to be his cover artist, and felt the urge to practice her drawing skills.

The others were all reading books as well to pass the time, and when an hour or two had passed, Sirena walked into the room right as the phone on Will's desk rang.

"I got it." He said as he answered the phone. "Hello?" He asked while reading over what he'd written so far.

"Will, it's Trip. I just got informed that Maneater: Aftermath has be slotted to premiere on Primetime TV come next year. We can start interviewing anytime." The man said, causing Will to smile.

"Great to hear." He said before looking at his mutant lover. "Maneater: Aftermath can start filming." He told her.

"That's great! Who are we gonna interview first?" Sirena asked as everyone looked in their direction while Will asked Trip that question.

"Well, right now we have three people lined up for the first three episodes: Port Clovis's Mayor Hibord and the town council, prominent Marine biologist Athena Giovanni, and Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" and his family." Trip replied on the other end of the phone.

"That's quite the selection. Hm… Let's start with Mayor Hibord. I want to see what he's got to say." Will said.

"Alright, I'll get the questions to ask him written down." Trip said.

"Great. And I'll have Sirena set a time for the interview." Will nodded as he said good bye and hung up. "Sirena, think you can—?" He asked as she set something on his desk.

"On it." She nodded before kissing him on the cheek.

"Heh. Thanks." The man chuckled. As their little interaction took place, their guests watched with minor interest.

"They get along pretty well." Leo whispered to Ebony, who nodded.

"Yeah, I noticed that too." The shadow bull shark girl nodded as she continued reading a copy of "Pride and Prejudice" while also drinking a glass of Russian Caravan black tea with cream and sugar.

"Hey, how'd you get these copies of Modern Ninja Magazine?" Raph called up. "These issues are pretty hard to get." He added.

"It's pretty easy, given that I help the writers out from time to time." Will called back.

"Seriously? Huh." Pearl said before she kept reading, she was drinking a bottle of Vanilla Coke.

Donnie, meanwhile, was reading a copy of Will's last book on Port Clovis and its conditions. "You must have spent a long time at Port Clovis, gathering information." He noted.

"I have, and Dead Horse Lake is an absolute nightmare." The man nodded with a shudder as he recalled the water quality of said lake.

"I know from experience." Sirena nodded as she gagged, recalling the utter misfortune of tasting the water there.

"... Okay." Mikey said awkwardly.

"This cover art looks pretty good, Sirena. Nice work." Will said as he looked at the artwork. It was of his lover when she was still her old self in front of a shiny sea background with the Maneater logo in the top right corner.

"Thanks." Sirena smiled as she started fixing herself something to drink. That being a sazerac. As she sat down next to him with her computer, she started looking at things online before she gasped in surprise. The cause of her surprise?

She had stumbled across advertisements for Maneater plushies, aka plushies of herself… and she wanted one because they made her look adorable. "Will, look at these!" She told her husband as she turned her computer around to face him.

"Maneater plushies? Okay, that's actually adorable." The man chuckled.

"I know!" She gushed before an idea came to her. "Oh those would be perfect for when we start a nursery!" She added, as images of their future baby playing and cuddling with one of the plush toys.

"I'll put in an order for some when I'm done with work." Will nodded in agreement before resuming what he was doing. "... Wait, a nursery?" He asked, the statement she had just said beginning to click in his head. Though he didn't stop working, he could hear Sirena's tail wagging beside him as she daydreamed of having a little pup running around the mansion.

(Later)

Later on, the couple was now with Trip trying to decide on the opening sequence for the new show, and Sirena suggested they use the same logo and song as the actual show, but different visuals.

"That could work, but what kind of visuals would we go for?" Trip wondered.

"I'd say a narrated intro with clips from the various interviews, then as the theme starts to play, we show series highlights and then end it with the season finale explosion that cuts to a flickering logo." The woman explained. Trip and Will mulled it over before looking at each other and nodding.

"I can see that working as a suitable intro." The rich man said.

"I'll start working on it. You two go to your first interview with Wayde Hibbord, Mayor of Port Clovis." Trip nodded.

"Got it. Sirena, let's go." Will beckoned as he and his lover took their leave for their first interview. After a good hour and a half of driving, they reached Port Clovis's Golden Shores district, where the mayor's office was.

Once they made their way to his office, they proceeded to enter. Once inside, they saw a man talking to the TV crew. He had black hair that looked like it had recently started turning gray, and he had a business suit on befitting a politician.

This was Mayor Wade Hibbord, a man who Trip and Will suspected was complacent in the Gulf's many oil spills because he had fifty shares in Execo, which was a sub company of Heberties, and was owned by Iviks and Varkon. Which were all companies either responsible for the spills or it's clean up, meaning he most likely made money on the latter.

"Mayor Hibbord." Will spoke up, getting the man's attention.

"Ah, Mr. Turner. Your crew was telling me about what's going on here." The man said.

"Yes, if we can get set up in the interview room, we can go ahead and get started," Will nodded, gesturing to the crew to go on ahead. "So I assume you already know what we're going to be doing here today?" He questioned.

"Yes. You'll be interviewing me on the impact the Maneater had on Port Clovis." The politician nodded.

"Right, as well as your thoughts on what caused it's many adaptations and what you'll be doing as mayor to try and fix things so we don't get a repeat." Will nodded. "Now you'll have the choice of being interviewed by my colleague Trip Westhaven or my fiancé here, Sirena." he continued as they entered the interview room.

"I'll let your fiancé do the talking. She seems like a nice person." The man replied, getting a nod from Sirena.

"Then let's get started." The shark woman nodded as the two sat down in two opposite facing chairs in the room.

"Alright, Maneater: Aftermath interview one: Mayor Wade Hibbord, take one. Action!" Will said as the camera started rolling.

"Hello and welcome to the first episode of Maneater: Aftermath, I'm your host Sirena Seawulf. Tonight we have the mayor of Port Clovis Wade Hibbard with us." The shark woman said, introducing herself before turning to the man. "Mr. Hibbord, what brought the Maneater to your attention for the first time?" Sirena questioned.

"Well, Sirena, at first I heard about it from my dear friend Bayou Willie before his tragic death at the fins of the heinous beast. At first I wasn't sure if I should have taken it more seriously back then… But now I do. In hindsight, maybe I should have been more proactive." The man replied, musing bitterly.

"Well, hindsight is twenty-twenty, usually." Sirena chuckled, getting a facepalm from the crew and a "Goddammit Sirena!" from Will for her awful joke. "Ahem. Moving on. As the Maneater's notoriety grew, how did the citizens feel about it?" She asked with a small cough.

"How do you think? Terrified, angry, grief stricken, and a number of other emotions tied to having a bloodthirsty bull shark attack and devour them in the water and on land about every other week." The man responded bitterly. "It was made even worse by those mutations!" He added.

"Speaking of which, what do you think caused said mutations?" The hidden shark woman questioned.

"Well I'm no marine biologist, but I think it may have something to do with those nutrient caches it kept eating. The ones dumped out here by Horizon Enterprises and TCRI." Hibbard replied. Sirena jotted that down before asking the next question.

"People who actually watched the original Maneater show are saying that part of the reason the Maneater did what it did is due in part to the actions of shark hunter Scaly Pete. What are your thoughts on that?" She questioned.

"I heard about that, and saw the footage." The man began with a displeased look. "I may not have been much of a shark fan to begin with, but what Pete did was over the line! Only the vilest people would do that to a newborn!" He growled.

"And I think a fair amount of people would agree with you on that." Sirena nodded. "Next Question, regarding the many commentaries and comments made by the show's narrator Trip Westhaven, what is your opinion on how your home of Port Clovis has been shown and portrayed to the public?" She questioned. The mayor took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding.

"Well… In regards to certain hazards, like the status of Dead Horse Lake, for example, I am sorry for the state it found itself in." He said. "As for others… Well, my words will vary." He added.

"I see." the woman nodded. "Moving on, there have been rumors that after the supposed death of his son, Scaly Pete poisoned Sapphire Bay to draw the Maneater out. Your thoughts? And has the Port Clovis City Council done anything about it?" She asked.

"Ah yes, that mess." Hibbard nodded. "When reports of that started pouring in, the first thing the councils did was close down all beaches in the area. It wasn't very effective, since people still went, though there were very few of them. We did a survey then, to figure out how to deal with it. One of the teams was able to find one of the drums containing poison and marked it for removal, which was done with all the others. Once the drums were gone, the poison faded away within seventy-two hours, according to reports." He explained. Off to the side, Will seemed rather pleased about that.

"And the explosion that seemingly killed it and Pete? Has any efforts to try and recover the creature's remains been taken? Or Pete's boat for that matter, and what of the anti-ship barrier? Has it been repaired?" The woman asked.

"In order: If the explosion killed it, then its remains must've drifted out to sea, so there's no point trying to recover them, in my eyes. The wreckage of Pete's boat has been identified and was deemed unsalvageable. And the damage to the barrier is rather extensive, so repairs will run on their own schedule." The politician explained.

"I see… And your thoughts on the fact that a very large chunk of the populations of animals have left Port Clovis after the barrier's destruction?" She continued. "...And the rumors that the Maneater is among them?" She added ominously.

"The loss of so many marine animals has put a large dent in the hunting and fishing industry, which will take a long time to recover from." Hibbard stated. "As for the Maneater being among them… I do hope that isn't the case, and that the injuries it sustained in the previously mentioned explosion killed it." He added, not registering the ominous tone Sirena used.

"Yes… Ahem, in regards to the many bounty hunters that lost their lives to the Maneater, what are your thoughts on the death of one Mabel "Mama Maybelle" Bryant, former matriarch of the Antolini Crime family?" The sea wolf asked.

"Those people, while they had good intentions of taking the Maneater out of the picture, could have taken better precautions. No offense to the family of any of them watching. As for Mama Maybelle… Well, I'd rather not say much." The mayor said, looking uncomfortable about talking about the Antolinis.

"Very well then. Finally, what do you plan to do amidst the outcry for a crackdown on the over hunting of predator species, sport hunting of sharks and animal cruelty to said sharks and other animals. As well as calls for better vetting of people who apply for hunting licenses due to many of the current ones being repeat convicts?' Sirena asked pointedly.

"Addressing the outcry for the crackdown will take time, as does everything related to sport hunting and cruelty to sharks will be addressed with a law that will strip anyone of their hunting license, if they have one. If not, then they will get a sentence of six months in prison. Repeat convicts will be stripped of their means to hunt on the water." Hibbard explained, having planned on delivering a punishment to repeat convicts for some time now.

"Very nice." Sirena nodded. "Thank you for your time, Mayor Hibbard, we appreciate you deciding to talk to us for our show." She added.

"You're welcome, thanks for having me." The man nodded as the interview wrapped up.

(later)

After the interview was done, Sirena and Will arrived home and found that the turtles had made themselves a base in an old World War bunker not far from the house, it being not far from their house. And as the two sat down in their living room, Will decided to say something in regards to what his wife said earlier.

"Sirena, when you said 'when we build a nursery'... Did you mean that you want to…?" He asked, knowing full well what that meant.

"Yes, William. I want kids." The shark woman nodded before she smirked. "I also decided that I want to share you with more girls." She added much to his confusion before he quickly realized what she was saying.

"W-wait, are you saying that…?" He trailed off, wanting his lover to confirm his thoughts.

"Yes, dear. I want you to get some more women for us to make a little harem." She purred into his ear. This caused the man to blush as she suddenly started pushing him onto the couch, her tail stroking his crotch. "Now, let's get started, shall we?" She purred as she nibbled on his ear.

It would seem that the Maneater of Port Clovis was ready to spawn.

Dragon Emperor0: So that's one interview down. Next chapter we're gonna see the gang interview various residents and the marine biologist mentioned in the last chapter. That's definitely gonna get spicy when Trip gets involved.

ThermalsniperN7: Yeah. We've got quite a bit lined up for these things. And it looks like Sirena wants harem sisters.

Dragon Emperor0: And apparently also wants a baby, or two, or who knows how many. That's definitely going to lead to a very long honeymoon period for them. I sure hope Will's prostate can handle it…

ThermalsniperN7: Um, yeah. I hope so, too. Anyway, see you guys next time.
