A New Hero, A New Legend

First off: belated happy New Year and welcome to 2022. Last month I said that this fic will be ready by the end of January, but for a reason it ended up getting delayed, in which I won't make any excuses. It is because I caught the COVID despite getting vaccinated, and I believe that I have gotten the Omicron variant. Thankfully I managed to recover while isolating myself inside my house but as a result working on this and my other fanfics slowed down, hence the late update of this fic.

Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…

Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the story kicks off as Midoriya takes on the entity, but will he be able to tap the power of this artifact in order to combat this unidentified entity now that it is starting to target Tsukauchi?

As the helicopter backed away, the humanoid-looking spider-like entity looked up, and mistook the helicopter for a creature, as he is unaware about the present era, and decided to challenge the helicopter first before finishing off Midoriya.

"Hmm ... an impar-vultus creatura ... es felix."

"Huh…?"

"Vos adepto a requiem ... sed ego veni tergum pro postea."

"Eh…?"

"Ego reprehendo sicco quod creatura ... videtur valde intriguing..."

"The helicopter…no…that thing is…"

"Capiunt tibi post, Kuuga…"

"Stop! Wait!"

Midoriya became worried as the humanoid-looking spider-like entity threw Midoriya aside as it spits out web and struck the side of the helicopter as it propels itself upward to hitch a ride and then seek out easy targets so as to kill them and make itself feel good as a way to raise its morale.

Inside the helicopter, Tsukauchi was startled after feeling something is dragging the chopper downward a bit and asked the pilot what just happened, which the pilot said that something must have caught the chopper and he tells Tsukauchi that he would have to land it at a safe place to avoid potential problems.

Suddenly, the humanoid-looking spider-like entity got in and Tsukauchi was taken aback at what he is seeing, and now the situation has become dire as Tsukauchi has little room to evade as the humanoid-looking spider-like entity makes his intentions known despite the language barrier between the entity and Tsukauchi.

"Ita...te oportet esse is qui me aggressus est.…"

"What…?"

"Hanc tribum putare satis ausi sunt…Imprimi me oportet dicere."

"What are you saying? I don't understand you…"

"Tu reverentiam merui. Nam ut mi nece dignus es."

"What is this guy saying…?"

"Nunc para mori."

"What are you…?"

Ch. 4: Choppā no uchigawa de shōtotsu

The pilot became concerned upon seeing the humanoid-looking spider-like entity lurking near Tsukauchi, but the police officer told the pilot to concentrate in finding a safe landing for the chopper no matter what and assured that he will be okay as he will try to kick the entity out of the chopper, believing that the entity would not survive the fall.

"Just find a safe landing for the chopper!"

"But what about you?"

"I'll be okay!"

"Are you sure?"

"Just focus on controlling the chopper!"

"But…"

"Just do it!"

"…"

Luckily, the humanoid-looking spider-like entity appeared to be fixated at Tsukauchi, sensing that he is the one who fired the shotgun rifle at him minutes ago, and deemed the police officer a worthy target that the entity seemingly ignored the pilot, who is looking for a safe place to land the helicopter so that Tsukauchi could find a safe place to evade and attack the entity.

The humanoid-looking spider-like then raised its right fist where a pair of spikes sprout, and told Tsukauchi that he would make a good trophy and a worthy collection, even though the police officer doesn't understand the attacker's language, though he knows that he is in danger and had to think of something to get the attacker out of the helicopter.

"Nunc ergo…"

"What…?"

"Caput tuum capiam…!"

"I don't know what you're saying…but your intentions are clear…"

"Bonum tropheum efficies…!"

"Damn…!"

"Iam morieris!"

"!"

Suddenly, the armored Midoriya managed to get aboard and punched the attacker which sends it out of the chopper, and Tsukauchi was astonished to see Midoriya's white-and-black colored form, but to his surprise the armored Midoriya placed a hand on the officer's shoulder, showing him that everything will be okay and has nothing to worry about.

Tsukauchi blinked his eyes and asked if he is an ally or not, which Midoriya realized that at this point he couldn't tell Tsukauchi about him and all he did was nod his head while he tapped the pilot's shoulder and pointed at the direction of a nearby park, which the pilot is also astonished and asked if he is saying that he wants to land there.

"Eh…? You..."

"…"

"You want me to land there…?"

"…"

"Is this…what you want…?"

"…"

"Just who are you…?"

"…"

Suddenly, the humanoid-looking, spider-like entity entered the chopper, revealing that he managed to hold onto the stepping of the chopper and punched Midoriya back, then he grabbed Tsukauchi and is about to stab him, sayiklg that he will not let such an opportunity go to waste and said that he will have Tsukauchi's head as a prize, but his language made it impossible for Tsukauchi to understand.

However, the armored Midoriya wouldn't let the attacker have his way and tells the humanoid-looking, spider-like entity that nobody is going to be murdered and he will put a stop to the killing spree once and for all, surprising Tsukauchi as he somewhat recognized Midoriya's voice underneath the armor.

"No! I won't let you!"

"Stultus unus"

"I won't let you kill anyone!"

"Hoc unum est meum! Tropaeum me habere oportet!"

"This has to stop!"

"Desine, impedimento esse! Tuus vicissim veniet, Kuuga!"

"I said stop!"

"Stultus!"

Pissed at the interference, the humanoid-looking, spider-like entity decided to kill Midoriya first and started to strangle him with pure force and Midoriya finds himself getting choked and has difficulty in getting a leverage to push the attacker back as he is starting to lose air due to being strangled by the attacker.

Realizing that they would be killed if the white-armored entity is killed, Tsukauchi thought fast and came up with an idea, as he grabbed a toolbox and opened it, revealing that it houses a pepper spray and brought it out before spraying it on the attacker's eyes, temporarily blinding it as well as disorienting it.

As the attacker fling his fists wildly, the armored Midoriya took the opportunity and did a rather strong punch and struck the attacker on the chest, and the blow was quite strong enough to force the entity to be thrown out of the chopper and landed on the ground below.

Since the helicopter is still airborne, both Midoriya and Tsukauchi couldn't tell if the attacker survive or not, and there the armored Midoriya helped Tsukauchi on his seat and patted his shoulder, which the police officer asked him who is he and why did he saved him, though Midoriya was silent as he couldn't give Tsukauchi a proper answer.

"You...you saved me…"

"…"

"I…"

"…"

"Who…who are you…?"

"…"

"Just what are you…?"

"…"

Seeing that they are passing by a skyscraper, the armored Midoriya patted Tsukauchi on the shoulder before jumping out of the helicopter, and there he landed onto the rooftop of the skyscraper, and thinking that no one is watching, Midoriya thought carefully as he tried to figure out how to change back to normal, and luckily he did, though out of sheer luck.

However, Tsukauchi was able to catch a glimpse using a binoculars, and is surprised to see Midoriya was the one who saved his life but realized that the younger boy has put himself in danger, and decided that once the chopper landed he would go look for Sawatari and asked her if she is aware of what Midoriya has gotten himself into.

He then told the pilot to land the helicopter near the police station which the pilot asked if he is sure, and Tsukauchi confirmed it with a serious tone as he needed to get to the ground as much as possible.

"Just find a safe landing for the chopper! I need to head back to the police station"

"But what about that thing from earlier?"

"I'll deal with that!"

"Are you sure?"

"Just focus on controlling the chopper!"

"But…"

"Just do it!"

"…"

Much later, Midoriya managed to sneak out of the skyscraper building and exited to the ground floor, and after walking a few blocks he managed to get back to the scene of the incident and Sakurako saw Midoriya and immediately hugged him, telling him how much she is worried about him, saying that she has no idea what is happening and even said that she is unsure what to say to Inko.

Midoriya apologized while assuring to her that things are okay and tells her that he is fine and not hurt, though both overheard some nearby cops whispering about the entity massacring 80% of the victims inside the police building whilst a SECOND LIFEFORM, described as colored white, is seen by some eyewitnesses jumping out of a helicopter and couldn't be traced.

"Have you heard?"

"A monster…yeah I did…"

"And then someone said that another one is seen?"

"Eh? Another one?"

"He's colored white…"

"For real?"

"Yeah…some say it came out from a chopper…"

"No way!"

Sakurako stared wide-eyed as she realized that Midoriya was seen and she tells him that they better leave before someone might suspect something, which the younger boy agreed, unsure about what would happen if the police figure out that he is the white-colored entity who fought the humanoid-looking, spider-like entity several minutes ago.

"Izuku…"

"Huh?"

"Come on."

"Eh?"

"Let's go. We can't stay here."

"Y-yeah…"

"We can't let anyone suspect that it was you…"

"R-right…"

Sakurako then suggested that Midoriya spend the night at her home as she is going to see what Midoriya has gotten himself into and how he was able to harness the artifact's strange abilities as well as to try deciphering something in order to figure out if there would be any side to his body after he BODILY ABSORBED it, which Midoriya reluctantly accepted.

"We need to decipher that artifact…and I mean ASAP."

"Uh..."

"I must figure out if it is safe…and if there are any side effects."

"I…see…"

"And we got to know if it is not fatal to you or anything. What you did back there might have something hidden that we don't know if it is safe for you to use…"

"I suppose…"

"And be ready…we don't know what to expect…"

"R-right…"

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Midoriya has gained something that would pass up as a pro hero even though it wasn't a Quirk…and was able to repel a mysterious creature that was trying to murder Tsukauchi, but what the teen boy didn't know is that Tsukauchi saw him undo his transformation…and now the police officer is set to find him…

All in all…this wraps up the first arc…

A new story arc commences as Tsukauchi finds Midoriya and wanted to get answers from the boy, and how and why he gained such mysterious powers as he sensed that it is not a Quirk…

At the same time Sakurako discovered that Izuku is set to discover something about his newfound power that would help him in his unexpected battle against these so-called mysterious creatures…

And the police force is set to investigate the attackers while mobilizing various pro heroes to combat this new threat…
