After that awkward moment, the group began walking through the forest and making it towards the kingdom, but they had to stop due to the fact that Hiccup needed to change out of his armor due to the sunny day.
"There is no way." Elsa stated to the girls about their statement on the fact that Hiccup likes her.
"Uh, did you see the way he was looking at you?" Raya asked her with an amused smile. "I've known Hiccup for a while now. He's never looked at anyone like that the whole time I've known him."
"Okay, so? That doesn't mean anything." Elsa stated as she crossed her arms, unsure how she feels of someone actually liking her.
"All right, let's keep going." Hiccup said as they looked and saw he changed out of his dragon armor and into a less complex outfit of a brown tunic and black leather vest with three buckles on the front.
"What, you kept that under your armor?" Jack asked in surprise.
"What, you think I wear that bulky armor all the time?" Hiccup asked as he ruffled his hair back to normal. "Come on, let's keep moving." He said and continued to lead them on through the woods.
Elsa was shocked at how strong he looked and how scrawny he also looked at the same time. With the armor on, he looked ten times
"That doesn't help your argument." Anna whispered to her sister, smiling at the thought of her sister finding someone like she already has.
That then caused her to stop and wonder about their friends back home, and what they might be thinking about what happened to the two of them. They just vanished to the people.
That caused Anna to have to wait a second to catch herself when she just immediately fell through an opening in the mountainside.
Her sudden Yelp caused the team to look back and noticed she's missing.
"Where'd Anna go?" Raya asked as they walked over to where she was just standing.
"Anna?!" Elsa cried out for her sister.
"Hey, guys! There's a secret passage!" Anna cried, causing them to look through the vines, and Hiccup immediately pushed the vines aside and they saw that Anna was standing at the other end of the tunnel.
They then followed Anna down and were shocked when they saw a giant tower next to a waterfall.
"Huh. Wow." Jack commented as Rapunzel was shocked to see it.
"This is my home!" Rapunzel said in shock as she ran ahead of them and towards the tower. "Come on, we can get some things here."
Hiccup then looked up at the tower and there was a flash of light from within it. That was weird.
Jack was the first to fly up to the tower and they saw there were a few sparks flying around before vanishing. "All clear!"
Sisu helped them climb up the tower and head inside and saw all of Rapunzel's paintings and drawings all over the walls.
"Someone kept herself busy." Elsa commented on all the paintings.
"Well, she's been here most of her life. Had to do something to pass that time." Hiccup guessed.
Rapunzel was grabbing some food from her kitchen that she noticed was the exact same as she left it.
That's only due to the fact that she literally did just leave. Those sparks were the leftover sleeping dust used to bring Rapunzel to the Web of Reality. They were sent back a few days earlier after Madame Web sent them on their mission.
Rapunzel grabbed a few clothes and handed them to Anna so she could get out of her dress. "Here. See if any of these fit."
"Uh, sure." Anna guessed and looked for a place to change.
Jack was looking at all of her drawings and noticed a hidden drawing behind a curtain. Moving it out of the way, what he saw looked to be Rapunzel sitting on a tree while watching a bunch of glowing things float from the distance.
"Hey, Rapunzel, what's this?" Jack called to her, causing Rapunzel to look back to what he was referring to.
"Oh, it's...it's nothing." Rapunzel promised them.
"Doesn't look like nothing." Jack commented, knowing that she's lying.
"It's...something I drew. About something I've wanted to see." Rapunzel tells him while messing with a part of her hair. "I'm told by my mother they're stars, but it happens every year."
"So it's an annual event?" Hiccup asks. "Sounds like some celebration or something. Like with lanterns or something."
"You see stuff like that often?" Elsa asked Hiccup.
"I get around." Hiccup shrugged to her.
"Lanterns?" Rapunzel whispered to herself. "I knew they weren't stars. Well, they're supposed to appear tomorrow night. Actually they usually come in the place where were headed."
"Well, if you want to see them so badly, the kingdom might be where they're coming from." Hiccup informed her. "Maybe if we get there in time, you can see them in person."
"Really?!" Rapunzel asked in shock.
"Aren't we on a mission?" Jack asked Hiccup.
"Come on, we're already on our way to Corona, and if it's tomorrow, it'll be perfect since it'll take at least a day or two to get there." Hiccup told him just as they saw Anna was coming back.
Anna came out wearing a long purple and magenta vest and a black long-sleeved dress with gold trim, a brown belt around her waist, and gold pants underneath. Seems she accessorized with long black boots and a gold cross pendant.
"Im not gonna lie, I love this." Anna confessed as she looked over her new look.
"Thanks. I made it myself." Rapunzel says sheepishly.
"Why do you have so many outfits, but only wear the same outfit?" Jack asks.
"I could ask you the same thing." Rapunzel stated to Jack.
Jack looked down at his outfit and up to Rapunzel's. "Touché."
In the villainous hideout, Drago smiled as he looked over the dragon army and Grimmel strolled through the army.
"I see you've still haven't gotten any closer to conquering the world. Even without the help of your new friends." Grimmel mocked Drago who growled at him.
Pitch suddenly appeared in-between the two of them before a fight could endure. "Now, now, no fighting. We need to be working together. Remember that."
"I'll remember that, as long as he stays out of my way." Drago snarled as his anger was mostly towards Grimmel rather than Pitch who left just as fast as he appeared. "You could have taken the Dragon Rider down, but you're just playing with them. It wasted our time. Your inefficiency is not useful."
"It's been years since you planned to conquer the world, and you're no closer to it than when you started, I believe the inefficient one is you, you have no vision." Grimmel retaliated. "You've been doing the same thing for years and have accomplished so little. At least I offered a solid plan."
"You heard what Pitch said. We are running out of time. We can't waste anymore with your games. You better do something fast." Drago snarled as he towed over Grimmel.
Grimmel smiled as he saw Gothel appear. "I'm ready."
"Let's hope they aren't." Grimmel said as they went to put a thorn in the teams plan.
"Does anyone happen to know where we are?" Jack asked the team as they've been wandering the woods for a while now.
"It is starting to feel like we're lost." Elsa agreed with him.
"We're not lost." Hiccup promised as he tried to map out where they are and realized they actually are. "Okay, we're lost."
"Aaand we're doomed." Anna said when she slummed backwards.
"Really, Hiccup?" Raya asked him.
"What? I'm trying to find out where we are, but I've never really been to Corona before." Hiccup confesses as Toothless then began to sniff something and wandered away from the group. "Toothless, where are you going?"
"Should we follow him?" Sisu asked.
"Don't want to lose him, might be best we do." Hiccup said while they all raced to follow Toothless.
"Toothless!" Elsa cried to him.
"Where you going, Bud?" Hiccup exclaimed.
Toothless lead them to a pathway which ended near a residential building. It looked a little old, and even on its side, with a few horses outside.
A few yards from it where they had been standing, they noticed a sign reading 'SNUGGLY DUCKLING'
"The Snuggly Duckling?" Raya asked.
"Looks like a roadside restaurant." Sisu stated.
"Maybe we could get directions to Corona from here." Jack stated.
"Not a bad idea." Hiccup guesses. "Toothless, why don't you stay back? We don't want to scare off the people here. I'll call if there's any trouble."
Toothless groaned as he did as Hiccup asked and vanished in the woods.
"What do you guys say?" Hiccup asked the rest of the group.
"Well...I do like ducklings." Rapunzel said as she held onto the frying pan.
"We won't stay long. Just get directions and keep going." Hiccup promised.
The team walked up and Jack ended up playing a joke and using his staff to slam open the door, considering nobody can see or hear him.
"Garçon, your finest table, please!" Jack cried, even though it went unheard by everyone.
But that's when everyone got a good look on who exactly used the establishment and they noticed that it was filled with monstrous...using Rapunzel's terminology, ruffians.
Raya quickly got ready to draw her sword whilst Rapunzel kept her frying pan out in front of her.
"No sudden movement." Hiccup told everyone as they slowly strolled inside, not sure if they want to take their chances getting lost further in the woods or just taking their chances and asking for directions here. "Just stay calm. I think they can smell fear."
"Well, they're probably getting a feast off of them." Jack said as he looked back to Anna and Rapunzel who were either hiding behind Elsa or holding out the frying pan.
"Just shut up." Raya murmured to him as she kept her head down.
Rapunzel subsequently felt a tug on her head where she see one of the guys holding her hair and quickly grabbed a handful of it before running ahead of the group.
"That's a lot of hair." The ruffian acknowledged.
"She's growing it out." Hiccup says, trying to not get on these guys' bad side.
Rapunzel kept backing away where she ran into a bigger guy with crazy hair.
"You know what, I think we'll be better off with our chances in the woods." Sisu said as she walked up and dragged Rapunzel away from the man.
"Yeah, we'll be better off." Hiccup agreed when he backed and his sword smacked one of the other guys with a Viking helmet and the attack seemed to cause him to get up, towering over Hiccup. "Oh, sorry. Didn't see you."
The guy didn't seem to take his apology and snarled at Hiccup.
"Okay, I didn't want it to come to this." Hiccup moaned as he got ready to draw his sword. "Nobody panic."
"Uh, that's...that's a ruffian." Jack informed Hiccup with a wide grin on his face, using Rapunzel terminology himself. "Do you know what ruffians do to guys like you?"
"Safe to say he's never met someone like me." Hiccup said in a whisper tone as Jack rolled his eyes and froze the ground, causing Hiccup to slip and his peg leg to trip and smack the ruffian.
"Oh boy..." Raya whispered.
The Viking helmeted ruffian then went to punch Hiccup when Jack used his staff to yank Hiccup away and allowed the punch to smack the hook handed man who went flying into the guy wearing a bucket.
Then all of a sudden, punches were getting thrown back and forth throughout the place. Jack just sat on the barstools and laughed.
"You proud of yourself?" Elsa asked him.
Jack watched everything and thought about it for a second. "A little bit, yes."
Elsa looked at him in anger as Hiccup was trying to get away as he was picked up by all of the men in the bar.
"Uh, guys!" Sisu cried as they tried to help Hiccup without hurting anyone.
Rapunzel then got an idea as they got ready to hit Hiccup in the face when she tossed her hair up over a bar and around a branch.
Pulling it back, the branch smacked the hooked man/the guy about to punch Hiccup in the face, causing all of them to freeze.
"Put him down!" Rapunzel demanded them, shocking everyone that she even had that in her. Including herself. They all then looked over towards Rapunzel. "Okay. We don't know where we are, but I do know that we're trying to save the world and we need him to do that, and so I can finally see the lanterns because I've been dreaming about them my entire life." She stated as she picked up her frying pan. "Find your humanity! Haven't any of you ever had a dream?"
The hook man then picked up the axe from his back and marched over to them, causing Elsa to get defensive and drag Anna behind her and Jack got ready to fight this guy as did Raya as he got up close to Rapunzel. And what came next was the biggest shock in their lives.
"I had a dream once." Hook man said as he tossed the axe over towards a man who was sitting in the corner with an accordion and immediately began playing when the axe slammed above his head.
Hiccup was then placed on a hook and left hanging as he was left to watch everything that was happening.
"I'm malicious, mean and scary." Hook man began to sing, allowing Raya and Jack to cool down and lower their weapons. "My sneer could curdle dairy." He then backed away from Rapunzel and gestured to the ground where there was an outline of a person with an axe impaled into the ground. "And violence wise my hands are not the cleanest." He then walked over to a table across the room where the others decided to follow him. "But despite my evil look and my temper and my hook..." He then tossed the man who was sitting where he was and climbed up to a piano that was hidden before a light shin down on it. "I've always yearned to be a concert pianist."
He then sat down on the piano and began to play pretty well considering he's missing a hand. "Can't you see me on the stage performing Mozart? Tickling the ivories till they gleam." He then did a line across the keys, sending several of them flying and Rapunzel lifted her pan to dodge them. "Yep, I'd rather be called deadly for my killer show tune medley." He then pointed out to the imaginary crowd. "Thank you!" He then went right back to playing. "'Cause way down deep inside I've got a dream!"
"He's got a dream!" The rest of the place began to sing as they bobbed their heads up and down in unison, as Hiccup was just forced to watch everything. "He's got a dream."
"See, I ain't as cruel and vicious as I seem." Hook said as Rapunzel sat down next to him and just avoided a swing of his hand that smacked the other guy in the face accidentally. "Though I do like breaking femurs, you can count me with the dreamers! Like everybody else, I've got a dream!"
Pascal was stuck watching as rats were also bobbing their bodies up and down to the beat.
What nobody knew was that someone was tracking them.
Mother Gothel was following the track into town, Grimmel sent her ahead as to not set off their dragon so that she could find the team and when she came across the Snuggly Duckling and heard the singing, she had a feeling she was in the right place.
"I've got scars and lumps and bruises." The guy who was smacked in the face sang as he got back up. "Plus something there here that oozes." He said as he lifted up his hand and gestured to under his arm. "And let's not even mention my complexion." He stated as he gestured to his face before raising his feet to reveal extra toes. "But despite my extra toes, and my goiter and my nose, I really want to make a love connection." He then pulled out a small flower and handed it to Anna who took it happily.
He then walked off and got into a bowl big enough to hold him and this small elderly man who had an umbrella.
"Can't you see me with a special little lady?" He asked as he used a stick to push them through the room. "Rowing in a rowboat down the stream?" He then took the elderly man and dressed him as Cupid and rising him off the ground from a rope. "Though I'm one disgusting brighter, I'm a lover not s fighter. 'Cause way down deep inside, I've got a dream." He then pushed Cupid and sent him all around the place. "I've got a dream!"
"He's got a dream!"
"I've got a dream!"
"He's got a dream."
"And I know one day romance will reign supreme." He stated as Cupid went past Hiccup who was getting a wedge from hanging around too long while Jack was just laughing and sitting next to him.
"I guess you're not gonna help me down?" Hiccup asked Jack.
"Nope. Enjoying the show." Jack stated, not wanting to miss a beat of this.
"Though my face leaves people screaming, there's a child behind it dreaming." Lover boy said as he hugged Sisu and Rapunzel, both more than happy to accept it.
A bald man with a beard was showing off his skills to Elsa who watched as he turned junk into a beautiful bouquet out of it. "Thor would like to quit and be a florist."
A man with two sideburns was standing over almost what looked like a living room in the corner of the building, fixing a painting of a sad puppy. "Gunther does interior design."
A mime then came up and waved his hands in front of his face towards Hiccup. "Ulf is into mime."
The helmet man then raised a plate of cupcakes in front of Anna who took one. "Attila's cupcakes are sublime."
A man across the room was knitting a sock together. "Bruiser knits," behind him, someone was sticking his back, "Killer sews." And there was a puppet show playing of an alligator chasing a man. "Fang does little puppet shows."
"And Vladimir collects ceramic unicorns." Hook says as the man who Hiccup hit, which started all of this was holding two small unicorns and pecked them together.
All of a sudden, they stopped and surrounded Hiccup again.
"What about you?" Hook asked.
"Me?" Hiccup asked as Jack was next to him and was glad nobody could see him.
"What's your dream?" Dreamer asked as he grabbed Hiccup by the shoulders and let him down.
"No, no, sorry guys. I'm not a singer." Hiccup informed them when everyone aimed their weapons, sadly that also includes Jack and Raya.
Inhaling deeply, Hiccup sees he can't exactly say no anymore.
"I have dreams such as you, yes it's true!" Hiccup said as he danced on the bar, trying not to anger these guys. "Ever since I was little, I've been known to be a little blue. My dreams leave me somewhere warm and sunny. In somewhere far from home, where I can be left alone." He's then grabbed by the men and his limbs pulled. "Surrounded by my friends and buddies!" He's then tossed away and Rapunzel climbs a table.
"I've got a dream!" Rapunzel sings.
"She's got a dream!"
"I've got a dream!" Rapunzel repeats.
"She's got a dream!"
"I just wanna see the floating lanterns gleam!" Rapunzel said as they all cheer and raise their mugs. "And with every passing hour, I'm so glad I left my tower. Like all you lovely folks I've got a dream!"
"She's got a dream! He's got a dream! We've got a dream!" They sing as they pass barrels around as Hiccup was hanging out with Pascal and Sisu. "So our differences ain't really that extreme."
Jack then pulled Hiccup from the wall with his staff and back into the craziness.
"We're one big dream!" The bigger guy then hits the floorboard, causing Hiccup to fly through the air, causing him to land on a barrel and kicked rolling, the same said for Elsa, Anna, and Raya as they tried to keep their balance through the fire they're currently tossing. "Call us brutal, sick, sadistic and grotesquely optimistic. 'Cause way down deep inside we've got a dream."
"I've got a dream." The guys spinning on the chandler above said. "I've got a dream."
"I've got a dream." Attila says as he's dancing.
"I've got a dream! I've got a dream!" They all sang as one went leaping out the window and Hiccup got off his barrel and immediately caught Elsa who was falling off of her own and ended up holding her bridal style as she grabbed onto his neck.
"Yes, way down deep inside I've got a dream!" Rapunzel and the others finished as they let out a cheer and all laughed and the team all dragged to a table and Jack just sat down on top of it.
"So what can we do for you travelers?" Hook guy asked them.
"Actually, we were just looking for directions to Corona." Raya admitted as she fixed her cloak to go around the chair.
"But we will have whatever you'll give us." Anna said, getting sick of traveling food.
"Oh, we have some maps in the back that can help you." Hook offers them happily.
"That'd be great, thanks." Hiccup said, knowing that'll help them get through the forest easily.
Gothel watched everything and then backed away before vanishing into thin air before Jack could turn and just miss her. But he did see there was some shadow fading away.
"What was that?" Jack whispered.
