Elsa was brought back to another cell, this time with dragon proof walls so her powers won't work. Looking out the small window she had, she wondered how Rapunzel was doing.
"Hiccup, where are you?" Elsa whispered, hoping he was on his way.
She then felt dust swirling and saw Pitch return. "I hope my companions have been treating you well."
"Of course, I love being held against my will, being kept prisoner, and having chains bound to me." Elsa stated as she gestured to everything and waited her hands to show what she means.
"Of course you understand we need to take some precautions." Pitch stated. "I know how dangerous you are.'
"The five-hundred-year-old monster is afraid of a little snow?" Elsa asked.
"Oh, no, I'm referring to how far you'll go." Pitch stated as he started to circle Elsa, almost like a shark circling its prey.
"You don't know anything about me." Elsa stated.
"I don't know everything, but I do know the most important thing." Pitch stated, walking into the shadows for Elsa to start looking around for him. "I know what you're afraid of."
"I'm not afraid of you!" Elsa stated as she tried to find him.
"It's not me." Pitch said as he came out of the shadows and scared Elsa a little. "You're afraid you'll never learn why you were made this way. Why you were given such a terrible curse." He then disappeared and left Elsa in the darkness. "And most of all, you're afraid you'll hurt those you care about again..."
Elsa then started to see he actually did know what scared her and didn't notice there was black sand making its way up her spine, sending chills. Which is a new feeling for her, to the point she thinks it's just a chill and nothing else. Not knowing that his sand was slowly manipulating her mind.
Jack, Raya, Sisu, Anna, Hiccup, Toothless, and Valka soared over the ocean on her dragon, whilst the entire flock of dragons from Valka's sanctuary were occupying the air behind them.
Raya glanced at them, and then looked back in front of her. "Is this weird to anyone else?"
"A little, yeah." Anna admitted.
"Hey, I-I thought we were going to eat!" Hiccup called out to Valka; not sure he was following what was happening.
Valka only chuckled and knew they would be confused. "Oh, we are!"
Cloudjumper spun back around to face Toothless and Windshear, and the two dragons froze where they were in the air, their wings beating to keep them airborne.
For a moment, they waited for something to happened, but noticed nothing.
And then, there was a gurgling and a bubbling sound coming from the water below them, and they all looked down to watch in amazement as the Bewilderbeast rose up out of it.
Water splashed in all directions, and they were glad to be high enough in the air to not get drenched. Then, the Alpha opened his mouth, and blew a million of hundreds of fish into the air.
The team couldn't help but look around and gasp at the sight.
Thousands upon thousands of silver, shiny fish rained down around them, and their expression must have been pretty hilarious, because Valka laughed at the sight of the younglings.
Toothless looked up to his rider and Hiccup nodded at the dragon. Afterwards, the Night Fury shot through the sky, gobbling as much fish as possible.
Toothless dives towards the surface of the ocean, skim the water, and come back with a mouthful of fish so big, it was enough to feed probably three of them.
Sisu stood there as one of them hit her in the face and she seemed a little disgusted at first. "Ugh. They really eat these?" She then shrugged and took a bite for herself and had to admit it was pretty good. "Hm. Gotta admit, not bad." She then looked up to the people on her back and held her hand out that held a few more fish. "Want some?"
"I...I'll wait until after everyone else eats. I like to cook mine." Raya assured her.
"Same." Anna added on.
"I don't need to eat." Jack said as he was dodging the dragons that flew around to eat.
"And from Dragon Island," Hiccup began, gesturing to the map he had unfolded on a snowy glacier they had landed on, "I found this archipelago…" he looked up in confusion, and watched as Valka drew a replica of Hiccup's map in the snow ahead of them.
Now it seems they knew where Hiccup's artistic talents came from.
"Wow," Anna breathed before she could stop herself.
"There," Valka said as she stepped back and ruffled Hiccup's hair.
"Looks like we learned the origin of your artistic side." Raya complimented.
"Not gonna lie, I suspected Stoick might be a artist." Jack commented jokingly.
Then, Toothless raced past them, a large icicle caught between his teeth. He dragged it through the snow, creating an odd spiral of lines and swirls. The dragon looked so pleased with himself it was almost hilarious.
The team and Valka only chuckled as they watched as Cloudjumper was unimpressed by everything he was currently seeing. Meanwhile Sisu just watched and was at least trying to muffle her laughter.
It went from almost hilarious to just plain hilarious when the Night Fury tried to let go of the icicle and it was stuck to his tongue as if glued there.
That was the point where the team couldn't control themselves and just laughed at the sight.
Later on, Hiccup and Valka were hovering in an updraft, smiling away as the wind blew their hair across their faces. The others watched from the sidelines as more dragons jumped off the sides of cliffs, spread their wings, and got caught in the updraft as well.
Valka then hopped off Cloudjumper's back and onto another dragons. She continued jumping gracefully from one dragon to another, almost as if she had done this a dozen times. She walked across Toothless' wingspan, ruffled Hiccup's hair, and then slid off the dragon's back.
Before anyone had the chance to freak out, Cloudjumper caught her and she glided next to Hiccup, breathing deeply.
"Oh...when I'm up here, I don't even feel the cold," Valka said, almost dreamily. "I just feel…"
"Free," Hiccup finished her thought, knowing exactly what she's talking about. He's been on his own for so long, he had no idea how it feels to be with others who understand him, his friends understand his background, and Valka seems to understand him emotionally.
Valka smiled at nom, and Hiccup smiled back without a flinch. "This is what it is to be a dragon, Hiccup.'
Hiccup smirked at his mom and got an idea. "It's all well and good to call yourself a dragon," he said, yanking his leg forward so that Toothless' tail fin was locked, "but can you fly?"
On the last word, he leapt to his feet and ran, jumping off Toothless in one quick movement.
"Hiccup!" Valka gasped, as did the team, no idea what he's doing.
Before the two could have a full-blown panic attack, Hiccup spread the wings to his flight suit, the wind catching him, and then, he was flying, gliding smoothly across the sky with Toothless right behind him.
Jack looked shocked and had no idea what to say. "Where have you been keeping that this whole time?!" He called out to the gliding one-legged Dragon Rider.
Valka's posture then started relaxing, her once terrified expression replaced with one of awe. They stayed alongside him and watched as he glides through the sky
But that's when Hiccup spun around and saw a glacier coming towards him. "Uh-oh!"
Toothless was quick to catch up. He must have been expecting something to go wrong, because he was able to wrap Hiccup in his wings and barrel through the mound of snow, hitting the ground.
"Why do I have the feeling he's done this before?" Anna asked and looked to Raya who had a shocked expression.
"I've never seen this before." Raya confessed.
Valka and her dragon around the same time Hiccup jumped out of a pile of snow, cheering. "Ha! Woo-hoo!" he exclaimed. "Man, almost!" he said, turning back to face the Night Fury. "We just about had it that time."
Toothless sneezed, and then glared back at his rider. He swung his tail at Hiccup's legs, tripping the man just as Hiccup finally regained his footing. Hiccup fell flat on his back in the snow, as they all ran towards him, laughing.
As soon as he was standing again, Valka examined Hiccup's flight suit, smiling in awe. "Oh, incredible."
"Well," Hiccup said, "You're not so bad yourself." He compliments his mother.
Valka moved her hand up to his cheek, and she hesitated just a moment before cupping his face in her hand. Hiccup leaned against her palm, letting out a small sign in contentment.
"All this time, you took after me," Valka said, her smile only growing as she dusted the snow off. Then, it faded as soon as it came. "And...where was I?" she murmured, sounding as though she were scolding herself. "I'm so sorry, Hiccup," she said, looking back up at her son. "Can we start over? Will you give me another chance?"
Her face said it all, like she was begging for forgiveness, and Hiccup was more than willing to give it to her.
"I-I can teach you all I've learned, you and your friends, all that I've learned these past twenty years." Valka promised as she walked over to Toothless. "Like..."
She then pressed two of her fingers against Toothless' neck and massaged it in slow circles. Hidden tailfins appeared across Toothless' back, splitting them in two and giving him twice the number he would usually have.
"Whoa," Hiccup breathed.
"Now you can make those tight turns." Valka assured him.
Toothless looked beyond happy, and he flapped his back fins excitedly. He seemed beyond thrilled by this new discovery, cooed in excitement and bounded around Hiccup in circles before finally pressing his head against his rider's hand.
"Did you know about this?" Hiccup asked as Toothless flapped his new fins once again, his tongue hanging out of his mouth, his teeth sheathed.
Valka chuckled. "Every dragon has its secrets," she said, taking a step towards him again, "and I'll show them all to you."
Toothless, still excited by their new discovery, bounded around the snow and then burrowed beneath it. A lump of snow moved around, and Toothless popped back up right next to Cloudjumper, snow collecting on Cloudjumper's head.
The Stormcutter turned his head, dumping the snow right back onto Toothless. Toothless shook it off and showed off his new fins to Cloudjumper, who looked unimpressed.
Valka put one of her hands on Hiccup's shoulder. "We'll unlock every mystery, find every last species, together! As mother and son. This gift we share...it bonds us." She looked directly into Hiccup's eyes. "This is who you are, son," she said. "Who we are. We will change the world for all dragons! We will make it a better, safer place!"
Hiccup laughed excitedly. "Yeah! I mean...That sounds...amazing!"
Valka closed the gap between them and hugged her son tightly. Hiccup hesitated just a moment, but then, he wrapped his arms back around his mother and buried his face against her shoulder.
The team watched and smiled at Hiccup; happy he was reunited with a family member that actually cared for him after everything.
But that's when Hiccup looked at Anna and recognized her face of sorrow and worry. Remembering the biggest thing that has to be fixed before this, Hiccup broke off from his mother.
"But...there's something we need to do first." Hiccup told her regretfully.
"And what's that?" Valka wondered.
"We need to rescue our friends." Hiccup said and looked to Jack and Anna, knowing they needed to save Elsa and Rapunzel. "They've been taken prisoner...by Drago and Pitch Black."
Valka seemed to be familiar with the names and looked to the others and saw these people were important and needed to be saved. Looking up and seeing the sun was setting, she knew it would be a good time to sneak in unexpected. "I know where they might be being held. We leave at nightfall."
Hiccup smiled and looked to his friends, and they all seemed to be on the same side. Raid the base of the most dangerous people in the universe, who have teamed up to take these specific people down.
But luckily they now have a element of surprise with Valka on their side, maybe they'll be able to pull it off. And stop Pitch once and for all.
Maybe they won't need what's in the box Web gave them, considering they can't get Corona's help opening it.
