Back at Rapunzel's tower, Gothel heard the crashing after Rapunzel grabbed onto the nearest furniture and wondered what happened. She walked over to the stairway and called up to her.
"Rapunzel, what's going on up there?" Gothel asks as she begins to go back up the stairs.
Meanwhile, in her room, Rapunzel is getting over the shock of what she discovered. She was the lost Princess of Corona. They still stood a chance of stopping Pitch. But more importantly...her mother lied to her. About everything.
"Are you alright?" Gothel asks, getting worried after not getting an answer.
Rapunzel leaves her room and moves her curtain out of the doorway and whispers. "I'm the lost princess."
Gothel scoffs as she didn't hear a word that Rapunzel just said. "Please, speak up, Rapunzel. You know how I hate the mumbling."
"I am the lost princess!" Rapunzel speaks up and looks towards Gothel in anger. "Aren't I?"
Gothel looks shocked for a moment, thinking that their plan to use Rapunzel to keep them young and powerful forever might be lost.
"Did I mumble, Mother?" Rapunzel asks in anger as she looked down at Gothel. "Or should I even call you that?"
Gothel stayed silent for a moment before playing it off and scoffing. "Rapunzel, do you even hear yourself?" She then sighs and walks up towards her. "Why would you ask a ridiculous question?"
Rapunzel pushes her out of the way before she got too close. "It was you! It was all you!"
"Everything I did was to protect you," Gothel says, and Rapunzel pushes her out of the way to then make her way down the stairs.
"I've spent my entire life hiding from people who would use me for my power...when I should have been hiding from you!" Rapunzel stated as she realized something. "Come to think of it...you always turn up shortly before and after Pitch comes after us." She then turned back over to Gothel. "You're working for him!"
"Where will you go?" Gothel asked her, knowing there's nobody out there waiting for her anymore. "He won't be there for you."
Rapunzel then became worried for her Jack, thinking she must've done something to him. "What did you do to him?"
"Me?" Gothel asked, acting as if she was innocent in all of this. "Nothing. But he won't be bothering us anymore. None of them will."
"No..." Rapunzel whispered in fear, feeling she might've learned the truth too late.
"Gothel then ran over to soothe her daughter. "Listen to me. All of this is as it should be."
Gothel then went to tap Rapunzel's head when Rapunzel stopped her. "No!" She then looked up in anger at her (fake) mother and knew if there's one thing she learned about herself on this journey, she's not as weak as her mother made her out to be. "You were wrong about the world! You were wrong about me!" That's when a glow started to emulate from Rapunzel's hand and even began to weaken Gothel. "And I will never let you use my hair again!"
Gothel then pulled herself free from Rapunzel's grasp and fell back, looking down to see her hand had grown weaker from the power she was emulating. Rapunzel then started to make her way for the window.
"You want me to be the bad guy?" Gothel asked as darkness started to consume the room.
But that's when a gust of wind blew the wind open and a beam of ice came in and shot Gothel back into the wall. Rapunzel looked back to her mother and over to the window when Jack came flying in and skidded across the floor.
"Whoo! Man, what an entrance!" Jack cheered and turned to see Gothel was the one who set his staff off. "Hey." He said as he looked over to Rapunzel.
"Jack!" Rapunzel cheered as she ran over and hugged him. "How did you find me?"
"Let's just say I got paid a visit from Madame Web," Jack said and gestured to his staff and rummaged through his jacket pocket. "And I believe he belongs to you." He then pulled Pascal and held him out to Rapunzel.
"Pascal!" Rapunzel cheered when they reunited and then saw Gothel was starting to break free. "We gotta go."
"Yeah, come on. The others need us." Jack said as he took her hand and took the two of them out the window before blasting off into the sky. "Let's go!"
"Where are we going?" Rapunzel asked as she held onto Jack.
"Arendelle. To reunite with the others and finally win." Jack stated as they took them to Arendelle as fast as he could.
"How?" Rapunzel asks, wondering how they'll stop Pitch.
"I'll explain when we have everyone together!" Jack promises.
Back in Arendelle, Hiccup had just been looked over by the doctors and patched up as best as they could. They couldn't guarantee what would happen, if he would even survive the night, but did all that they could to save him.
Sitting next to his bed was Raya, Valka, Eret, and Sisu in her dragon form. Seemed the people of Arendelle were open to Sisu as she didn't come here to harm, but to protect her friends.
"What do we do?" Raya wonders as she held her sword close in case any Druun or any of Pitch's other minions come to finish the job.
"Is there anything left that we can do?" Sisu wonders, feeling like this was the end of the line. "There's nothing left."
"I wouldn't say that," Jack said, getting their attention as they jumped and got ready to fight when they saw it was just him coming through the window.
"Jack?" Valka was surprised to see him.
"What are you doing here?" Raya asked, after having the chance to cool down, she was now happy to see he was alright.
"Same as you," Jack said as he smiled and held his hand out the window.
They watched as he helped Rapunzel step into the room and all jumped for joy to see her back. They all ran over and hugged, cheering to see they have all but one member of the team back.
Eret walked over and was confused about how this was possible. "How...how did you find her?"
"Let's just say Madame Web scrambled with my head," Jack said as he rubbed the front of his forehead. "And I have the headache to prove it." That's when he looked and noticed Elsa was missing. "Hey, where's Elsa?"
Anna was sorry to inform him what he missed when he left and how Elsa had run away. Jack was sorry to hear that after what she did to Hiccup she left, but knew he could find her now. They just needed to get Hiccup back.
That's when the doors opened and Kristoff walked in and saw them all. "I leave the room for five minutes."
"Who's he?" Jack asked, looking to the girls who saved with Hiccup and were here first.
"My boyfriend," Anna explained to him and gestured to the living snowman. "And that's Olaf."
Jack was shocked to see a living snowman and then rolled his eyes, thinking of what Hiccup said about learning to accept it all. "Nothing is normal. I've officially accepted that."
As he was processing the living snowman, Rapunzel was wrapping the wound on Hiccup's hip with her hair. Taking a seat after completing the task, she closed her eyes and got ready to sing. She had no idea if this was even going to work since she never healed something to this extent before, but was more than happy to try.
"Flower, gleam and glow. Let your power shine." She starts singing and the group watches as her hair began glowing from her head and begins to travel throughout her hair. "Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt. Change the fate's design." Rapunzel continued to sing as the glowing hair reached Hiccup's waist. "Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine..."
After she had finished singing, they all watched and were waiting to see if anything had changed. Hiccup still slept there in a comatose-like state when they heard him moan and start to slowly open and close his eyes.
"Ow." Hiccup whispers and raised his hand to his head. "What happened?"
"You're okay!" Rapunzel cheered, happy to see it worked, and jumped up to hug him, immediately wrapping herself around him.
"Whoa!" Hiccup cried, there still being some pain from the area. "Careful there, Rapunzel." That's when realization dawned upon him and he jumped up. "Rapunzel!?"
"Hey, Hiccup." Rapunzel greeted as she just kept holding him, seeing as Hiccup has become like an older brother to her, she was happy he was okay.
"How...how are you here?" Hiccup asked as he hugged her back and noticed Jack was standing there with a smile. Hiccup returned the smile and knew that he was the one who accomplished this. "You saved me. Thanks."
"Hey, my brother needed help." Jack shrugged it off as no big deal to him before walking over and patting him on the shoulder. "Just glad you're okay."
Hiccup then looked around and saw he was, if he had to guess, Arendelle. That's his guess as he's never met the man standing next to the living snowman and remembered that they fit the description from Anna and Elsa's story. That's when he realized someone was still missing.
"Where's Elsa?" Hiccup asked them as that's when Rapunzel finally let him go.
That's when they were all brought up to speed on everything that happened. Jack told everyone about his encounter with Pitch, Madame Web, Rapunzel's light, everything he had discovered. Rapunzel informed them all about her mother and how it turns out she wasn't her real mother, how she is the lost Princess of Corona, and how she is one of Pitch's minions.
That's also when Jack told them about what had happened with his staff and how he was able to locate them all.
"Do you think you can use it to find Elsa?" Anna asked her friend.
"Possibly," Jack said and gestured to his staff. "I don't really control it, but it will lead me to whoever I want it to."
"Okay, so the two of us will go get her." Hiccup said as he walked over to Jack.
"Hiccup, you're still recovering." Valka reminded him.
"Not anymore." Hiccup assured her as he showed off Rapunzel's work and showed there's not even a scratch left. "I'm perfectly healed, ready to stop him."
"Okay, then what about the rest of us?" Anna asked. "Pitch is going to begin his ritual to free himself now he thinks we're out of the way.
"He'd want to go back to where it all began," Sisu informed them all. "He'd have to return to Kumandra."
"Then that's where we'll head." Hiccup promises them. "Once we get Elsa, we'll meet up with the rest of you at the Snugly Duckling. That way we'll have a safe location, surrounded by water, and you'll be able to defend yourselves with Sisu and the gem."
"Sounds like a plan," Raya confirmed. "But what about Pitch?"
"We'll have time to plan our next move at the Duckling." Hiccup assured her as he and Jack headed for the window and got Inferno and his mask ready. "Be careful." He asked of them as he closed his mask.
"Same back at you," Raya said with a smile as they all got onto Sisu.
"Kristoff, Olaf, stay here and warn the people of what's coming," Anna asked of her boyfriend as she climbed on the dragon herself.
"On it," Kristoff promised. "I mean, I only followed half of what's happening, but what I did follow I'll tell them."
"Let's go," Jack told Hiccup as he grabbed ahold of his friend and took to the skies.
As soon as they took off, so did Sisu to get the team a safe distance away so the Druun and Nightmares don't catch them and the other two made their way up the North Mountain to find out where Elsa was.
If only they knew what was waiting for them at the top of that hill. Because their friend had been corrupted...
