A while ago...

After Pitch had picked up the corrupted Elsa, he had brought her to the mountain where 300 years ago, he was cast out before he could rule the world.

Now to be free to unleash his full power and conquer the world, he needs the help of his new friends. Corrupting Elsa was just an insurance card so that they wouldn't come to attack. But he also knew that with her by his side, they'd be rushing to save her. Except that would also mean facing her, and them not wanting to harm her gives him an edge.

"The time is approaching!" Gothel cried as the skies were continuing to darken. "We must be prepared."

"Yes..." Pitch agreed, but also knew of the others would need to be distracted. If this were to succeed, he needs to buy more time. "But the others...we need them held back." He then looked over to Drago. "Go to Berk...cause some trouble, stir something up so they'll come running."

Drago grunted, smiling at the idea and walking off to do his part of the plan.

"I wondered why you kept him around," Grimmel commented.

"All of us were necessary with a part to play in the plan. Drago was meant to keep them busy while he gave us an army while I was weakened." Pitch said as they stood in a circle leading to a hole in the roof of the mountain. "But now he's outlived his purpose." He then looked towards Gothel. "Start it..."

Gothel understood as she raised her hands, purple lights immolating from her hands as the rest of them started to rise. That was followed by them being trapped by the circle and Pitch starting to rise.

Gothel then saw Pitch was being weakened of his chains and beginning to become free as he raised on a cloud of dust and into the skies.

"You..." Pitch called out to Elsa, getting her attention. "Go make sure we are not disturbed."

"Yes, sir," Elsa said as she strolled off to start the storm.

Gothel then started to continue and used the opposite spell that was once used to capture Pitch. "Wither and decay, end this destiny. Break these earthly chains. And set the spirit free... The spirit free..."

Pitch felt his powers returning every second as he looked up to see the skies ripping open to allow him to wall the realm of mortals. No longer will he have to be believed in to be seen. He can rule the world.

Back to the present, the team was trying to see through the snow Elsa was blasting them with and trying to reach her. But the more they pushed, but the more energy that she blasted back at them.

"Pitch knew we wouldn't harm her!" Hiccup realizes. "He wanted to turn us on one another so we wouldn't stand to stop him!"

"We got that!" Jack cried, Hiccup now repeating what they already know.

"So how do we get closer?" Raya asked.

Hiccup was thinking of it and came up with an idea he was gonna regret. He looked upward and noticed that the stand Elsa was on stood over a giant pile of fresh powder snow.

"Toothless, plasma blast!" Hiccup called to his dragon as he pointed to the foundation.

Toothless looked to where he was pointing and fired in the direction. Once the blast made an impact, Elsa was forced to stop firing ice when she realized what they had done and ran to save herself. But all she did was delay the inevitable as she fell and landed in the powdery snow.

"Everyone, to the skies!" Hiccup cried as they all got on Toothless and Sisu before taking off.

"What's the plan now?" Rapunzel asked Hiccup.

"That depends on one thing." Hiccup tells her.

"What's that?" Anna wonders.

"One of you two know how to fly Toothless?" Hiccup asks them, getting confused looks from all of them.

When Elsa climbed out of the snow, she saw the two dragons coming toward her and blasted mist at them. Jack got ahead of them all and blocked the attack with his own blast of mist to shield them.

"Come on, that the best you got?" Raya asked as she looked down at Elsa. "Did turning evil cause you to lose your aim!?"

Elsa groaned in anger as she blasted another one towards Toothless, who dodged the blast and showed off the saddle to her. That's when she noticed that it wasn't Hiccup who was flying him.

"What?" Elsa asked as she watched Anna flying Toothless, Rapunzel holding onto her from behind. "Where is he?!"

Hiccup then came up behind her before reaching and grabbing Elsa's hand. That caused the two to gasp and their eyes to instantly shut on them.

When Hiccup opened his eyes, he found himself back inside the darker version of her ice castle, surrounded by a blizzard of snow swarming around him. He started to look around and wondered where Elsa was and listened for her voice.

"...conceal...don't feel..."

It was quiet, almost above a whisper, but it was her voice.

"Elsa?!" Hiccup called out for her through the snow to try and get her attention. "Elsa, I'm here!"

Not getting anything but the same words on repeat, Hiccup decides to travel through the snow and try and find her through the snow. He then noticed a cluster of darkness in the corner as he ran over and saw it was her.

"Elsa!" Hiccup cried as he came over and grabbed her.

"H... Hiccup?" Elsa asked when she looked up and noticed him. "You...you can't be here."

"But I am." Hiccup said as he reached out to grab her. But then she flinched and didn't allow him to touch her.

"Don't. I don't want to hurt you again." Elsa stated, not allowing him to help her.

"You didn't hurt me." Hiccup promises her. "They forced you to hurt us."

"I always hurt people," Elsa whispered and Hiccup heard giggling around them.

He turned and noticed that there was a memory in the snow showing when Anna had her accident. The one that caused them to be separated growing up. Pitch was using her fears to keep her trapped in this nightmare so he can corrupt her.

"Elsa, you would never hurt us on purpose." Hiccup assured her they knew her well enough.

"But I did!" Elsa cried as she got up and let the storm take her. "I hurt my sister, I hurt...you...I hurt everyone I love."

Hiccup then looked at her in shock after hearing that she loves him. "You...love me?"

"Yes!" Elsa admitted, tearing up at the reminder. "But we can't be together. I'm too dangerous! A freak, a murderer...a monster..." She then looked at Hiccup again with tears. "So, please...leave me alone before you get hurt again..."

The storm blocked Hiccup and Elsa off from one another and Elsa saw he left her. Like everyone always does. She was destined to be alone.

But that's when a hand came from the snow and grabbed her hand before she could realize what was happening. When she looked up, a tear falling down her cheek, she saw him stare at her with sorrow.

"I'm not Anna. And you're not a monster." Hiccup stated as he reached for her cheek and wiped the tear away. "Please. I want the woman I love back. Because I love you."

He then leaned in and kissed her, automatically getting Elsa to respond to the kiss, and the storm started to fade and left them in the open.

That's when Hiccup was tossed out of the dream and saw that Dark Elsa was still there and angered at what he's done. She started to get ready to end him when her head started to hurt. She grunted and started to shake, getting the attention of everyone else as they came over and watched her fight it off.

"No...I won't let you hurt them!" Elsa declared as she absorbed the snow that she unleashed.

When it cleared, Elsa was back to normal in her normal form and got them all to look shocked. She looked and saw even her outfit had changed back into the ice dress that she started with before changing into more casual clothes later on in Corona.

"Elsa?" Hiccup asked as he approached her.

"Hiccup." Elsa sighed in relief as she ran over and this time, she pulled him in for a kiss for real this time.

That left the rest of them shocked at the sight and just let them have a moment. But their moment was cut short when they heard the storm get worse and notice there was an entire swarm of dust.

"Pitch is almost free," Sisu warns them.

"We have to act now." Hiccup said as he and Elsa broke off.

"What's the plan?" Rapunzel asks.

"Separate them first." Sisu gave some advice. "Once Pitch is free, he can grant them power. Separate them, they'll be weakened. The further they are, the weaker they become."

"I'll handle Grimmel's Deathgrippers." Hiccup said as he looked at Sisu. "We could use some help."

"Sure." Sisu agreed.

"I'll keep Pitch occupied." Jack offered to them, knowing he can hold him back.

"Me, Elsa, Rapunzel, and Anna will make our way up to the cave and hold them off." Raya offered to them.

"As good as a plan as any." Hiccup guessed. But then he had a thought and grabbed Inferno, passing it to Anna. "You're gonna need that."

Anna squealed and held the sword out, trying to learn how it works. "Thanks."

"Let's save the world, team!" Jack declared as they all separated to do their jobs.

The final battle has only just begun...
