Ivy hadn't really had a pleasant first few days on the island, all things considered. She was constantly being glared at, avoided at every corner, and she couldn't shake the feeling that some of the contestants were talking about her behind her back. She felt as if she had no place walking through the halls of the hotel, and she found herself walking miserably back to the staff office, opening the door and meandering her way over to a chair in the corner, slouching down in it and letting out a massive sigh. Aaron, who happened to be in the very same room, looked over at her with confusion plastered on his face.

"Er...Miss Ivy?" he called over to her from his desk, a slight worry to his tone, "Is everyzing alright? You seem to be a little down in ze dumps."

"Huh?" the assistant suddenly shot up, as if she was completely zoned out and unaware of what was going on around her, "Oh, uh, yeah! Everything is A-Okay! I'm just living my best life out here in trashland!"

"Trash...land?"

"You know, a play on scrap island. Ah, whatever, I'm doing fine, so don't you worry a bit about me!"

"...Zat sounds like you are a liar. Vat is ze matter?"

"I told you, I'm fine!"

Aaron narrowed his eyes at the girl, looking at her with a fierce look that nobody had seen in him before. With a long, drawn out sigh, he stood from his desk, slowly walking on over to the chairs and sitting himself down in the one next to her. She sweat nervously as he looked her up and down.

"I don't know about Miss Dana, but I for one don't like lying. It is not a good zing to do ven you are trying to make new friends, Miss Ivy."

"But I'm good, honest to god! I'm just a little worried that everybody here hates me, is all?"

"Aha! So you are not fine, you lying little liar pants!"

"Alright, alright, you caught me. I don't get it! I just got here, and nobody even wants to talk to me! I mean, come on, people! What do you want from me?"

"Sometimes people just take time to open up to ozers, I'm sure you've met people before zat didn't want to be friends right away, ja?"

"I guess so...but this feels like everyone is going against me here, it's a little more than just people being shy..."

"Just give zem some time, zey vill surely open up to you after a little while!"

"If you say so..."

"Vy don't you try giving zem some lemonade or somezing? Maybe zat vill make zem feel a little more comfortable around you."

"Lemonade, eh? I mean, I could try that, but who even likes lemonade? It's...kinda yucky."

"It can't hurt to try."

"Alright, I'll give it a shot," the girl rose from her seat, walking back over to the door before turning to face Aaron with a smile on her face, "Thanks, Mister Mayer, you're a cool boss!"

"Ah, just call me Aaron...Mister Mayer is my vater."

"Heh, alright, Aaron."

With that, Ivy left the room once again, with Aaron feeling a warm feeling, the kind that one would get from knowing they helped make someone's day better than it was before.
