Ronnie had dragged Blaster out of her room relatively early in the morning, and the girl could not have been more exhausted. He pulled her down into a large gymnasium, one that was mostly unused, except for the morning workouts for Ronnie and Fridge. He stood next to a line of treadmills, gesturing to them with his thumb.

"This," he started, "This is how we're going to decide which of us is the real winner."

"We're gonna have a treadmill eating contest?" Blaster asked tiredly as she rubbed her eyes, "I think I can beat you in that."

"What!? No, we're not gonna eat the damn treadmills, what's wrong with you!?"

"I dunno, I thought it would be tasty."

"How!? Literally, HOW!?"

"Uh...lots of...uh...circuity things?"

"Are you a robot? Do you eat circuitry?"

"Man, I wish! I would be Super Blaster!"

"...You're not very bright...at all."

"I'm like a shining diamond though!"

"More like a crazy diamond."

"Nah, if I was a crazy diamond, I'd be able to fix anything!"

"Well- hang on a minute, this isn't what this is about!"

Ronnie crossed his arms in frustration as the girl giggled, making references she didn't even know about. He turned around, facing the wall and thinking for a moment.

"Hm...maybe...aha!"

The boy turned around again, pulling out a protein bar from his pocket and holding it in front off the girl's face, causing her to fall into some sort of trance. She tried to reach for it, but he was quick to steal it away again.

"Not yet," he said snarkily, tucking the bar back into his pocket, "You can get this bar after you beat me in a little contest. And if you don't beat me, you don't get it."

"Deal!" she exclaimed, starting to drool in anticipation, "What are we doing?"

"We're running on the treadmills, of course. The first one of us to reach ten miles on this puppy wins the protein bar. Sound good?"

"Uh huh!"

"Now, let's-"

Before the boy could finish his statement, the girl leapt onto the treadmill, turning it on to a speed that he didn't know was possible on one of those machines. Running as if she were faster than the speed of light itself, she managed to clock in ten miles almost immediately, causing the boy's eyes to widen and his jaw to drop. She hopped off of the treadmill, walking happily over to the boy and grabbing the protein bar from him before walking off with it.

"Thanks for the easy breakfast!" she giggled as she left the gym, leaving the boy to his own astounded self.

He slumped down to the floor, looking up at the ceiling while trying to find the words to say about what he had just witnessed. He pondered and thought, but eventually, he could only force out two simple words.

"Hot damn."
