Dana and Aaron sat down in a dark room that seemed to be made entirely of metal. There were several seats in the room running along the walls and facing each other, it would be a lie to say they looked comfortable. "So, how do you figure the contestants will handle this one? Last time they encountered these buggers…well, it wasn't the most amazing experience for them." Dana snickered to herself as she watched a video of a challenge from the previous season, showing several contestants getting zapped by unknown assailants.
"I zink zhat zhings vill go okay for some of zhem, but I am a bit vorried about zhe less athletic members of zhe group. Zhey may find zhemselves to be a quick luncheon for zhese robots." Aaron twiddled his thumbs nervously as he looked directly in front of him at a massive, unmarked crate. It was then that a hatch in the back of the room opened up, revealing that the hosts were in some sort of airplane, which was way up in the sky. "Oh, good heavens! Save me, vater!" Aaron got queasy from the sight of the outside and quickly passed out, Dana rolling her eyes at him as a woman approached from the other side of the dropoff zone.
"My, my…I didn't expect him to get that terrified. Isn't he just the cutest?" The woman walked over to Aaron, crouching down next to his unconscious self and pinching his cheek playfully. This woman wasn't quite as tall as Aaron was, but she was taller than the average woman her age…her age at least appearing to be in her mid-thirties. She was quite attractive, and it seemed like she put herself together in a way that accentuated each and every part of her. Her skin was porcelain toned, and her hair was a bright orange color. Her eyes were ocean blue, and they had a lot of life in them. Her hair was cut down rather short on the sides and the back, with the top growing out enough for her to cover the entire right side of her face with it. Her eyebrows were quite interesting, as they seemed to be shaped like arrows, with the pointer part aiming towards her nose. Her outfit spelled business lady, but she still managed to sprinkle some fun into it with her earrings, which looked like dangling, multi-colored kites. She wore a pale red vest, which was buttoned over a white dress tee shirt…which she had put on over a long-sleeved, black dress shirt. She even had a tie for her fancy get up, it was blue. She wore a black mini skirt, which was held up by a brown belt, and she had black leggings on underneath it. Finally, her boots were very dark red, reaching halfway up her calves with white tufts of fur poking out at the tops. "Though, you're quite the adorable munchkin yourself, Little Miss Starshine."
Dana pouted with her lip and crossed her arms, not approving of the compliment. "You can't call me cute, you old coot!" The woman shrugged her shoulders with a teasing smile on her face. "In any case…we've got everything we need for the challenge in this plane, right? I know you said you're excited for this, I just have to make sure that you didn't miss anything in your excitement."
"It's a challenge based on Blortnite…I would never skip any of the details on something that had to do with one of my favorite games. Have you forgotten-" Dana cut the woman off before she could finish her sentence.
"-How much you love video games? No, you've reminded me several times already. I just had to check…and speaking of things that I have to do…" Dana turned to face the camera with a grin on her face, "Last time, on Total Drama: Scrap Island, we had a meager nine contestants left, and each of them was split up in a massive factory which was full of fancy escape rooms! Each room was based on a previous season of the show, even including Haunted Village, the forgotten one! Some contestants showed pretty high skill in these rooms, like Brittany and Caleb, while others struggled…looking at you, Calvin and Mitzy. Heck, Fridge even made it out faster than those two! In the end, Mitzy decided she couldn't bring herself to kill a baby robot, and she failed the challenge. Of course, she delivered the swift fist of justice to Caleb's alliance before she left…who knows if anyone will be on his side now? Find out, right here, on Total Drama: Scrap Island!"
The camera suddenly flew into the sky, being struck by a massive chunk of debris and knocking it back to the ground, only to be picked up by a cute, blue and silver striped robot with one wheel that it used to move.
"Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine," the robot pointed the camera at Theodore at a cafeteria table, pounding down energy drinks like a champ, his eyes twitching from the caffeine while Larida looked concerned for his health.
"You guys are on my mind," at a nearby table, Ronnie was arm wrestling Mitchell, winning easily and slamming him straight through the table, causing Celeste to run over and start screaming at the powerhouse.
"You asked me what I wanted to be and I think the answer's plain to see," the robot wheeled its way out of the cafeteria, showing a junkyard with Vernon scribbling something down in silence and Ivy looking over his shoulder to peek at it, until Blaster popped out of one of the garbage piles, scaring him and making his papers fly off into the sky.
"I wanna be famous!" Vernon ran after his papers, leaving Ivy behind in confusion, eventually passing by Margaret and Daniel as they were making out while surrounded by four intense looking mafia thugs, one who spotted the camera and chased after it.
"I wanna live close to the sun," the robot wheeled away from the mafia goon, passing by Zane and Bunny, the latter who was bugging the boy by holding a mic up to his face, which he tried to shove away.
"So pack your bags, cause I've already won," Fridge carried Caleb on his shoulders across from Aaron, who had Dana on his own shoulders, the two up top slapping at each other as the robot passed by.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day," as the robot continued to roll around, it finally made its way out of the junkyard and to the remnants of Cali-Tokyo, where Buck was attempting to profess his love to Yves, who was all flustered by the gesture.
"I wanna be famous!" Nearby, atop a pile of rubble, Brittany was making fun of Valerie, who let out a sigh and pushed her off the pile and onto the ground.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," near the pile, there were some barrels of toxic waste, which inspired Mitzy, who scribbled something down on a blank sheet while Alice was absolutely appalled by the sight.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" CJ was being chased by a massive and terrifying robot with six legs and two clawed arms, which then noticed the robot with the camera and chased after it, causing it to drop the camera.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" The camera feed cut to the aftermath stage, showing Calvin trying to kiss Max, who, out of embarrassment, belched right in his face.
The two were soon shoved aside by Capone, who rolled his eyes at them, while Sunny, next to him, waved happily to the camera with a huge smile on her face. Maggie popped up between the two of them, an acoustic guitar around her back, hugging them both tightly and snickering while the camera panned out to show the whole cast sitting in the risers, with the little robot sitting next to Caleb, and Franchesco standing off to the side with a glare fixed on Maggie.
Teddy snored heavily as he was still asleep, though he hadn't realized that he wasn't in his room anymore. He seemed to be seated up with his back against a metal wall…it was honestly shocking that it was comfortable enough for him to sleep there. In any case, his peaceful rest came to a sudden halt when someone's fingers were snapped right in his face. He jolted up, his eyes dashing around to see what was going on. "Huh? What? Where am I?"
"My, my…you're a handsome little thing, aren't you?" The woman that Dana was speaking to before stood before him, and some more investigation revealed that he was in the plane that she was in beforehand. Around him, there sat the other seven contestants, some of them looking pretty peeved just to be pulled into the plane. "Welcome to the battle plane, Theodore…the name's Elizabeth Stonks, but a cutie like you can just call me Ellie." Ellie tapped Teddy's nose with her index finger, causing him to blush bright red, and Valerie, who was sitting next to him, to grit her teeth.
"T-the battle plane? Why are we in a battle plane!? Did I get drafted!? I'm too young to die, please, lady!" Teddy started to hyperventilate until Fridge, who was on the other side of him, slapped him across the face. This knocked him right out of his seat, as the friendly giant wasn't realizing his own strength.
"Oh! Apologies, ReadyTeddy…I just meant to make you snap out of it." Fridge helped the boy off of the floor and put him back in his seat, though the slap did seem to help a wee bit, as the YouTuber was no longer freaking out like before.
Confessional
"With Friendleb becoming my Ex-Friendleb after that sneaky stuff he pulled, I've been kinda lost! I still wanna have friends, but I'm sort of realizing that it's difficult to really communicate with other people like how I did with Ex-Friendleb." Fridge sighed and stared down at the floor before scuffing his shoes. "I don't really wanna talk to Rabbit, either…she's too pushy with her love agenda."
Confessional End
"No one is being drafted…well, you sort of are in a strange way." Ellie giggled to herself before grabbing a remote from her vest pocket and pressing a button on it. This caused a TV screen to light up in the far end of the dropoff room, revealing Dana, who was sitting outside the hotel with a grin on her face. "Little Miss Starshine, you're live."
"Hello, survivors!" Dana clasped her hands together and leaned towards the camera with that grin growing even wider than before. "I realize that this may be a rude awakening to you guys, but we've got a real special challenge coming your way today! One of my associates has offered to assist us with this challenge, since it is heavily based on Blortnite: Battle Royale! She's a total gamer, so it piqued her interest pretty quickly."
"I'm in the top ten players worldwide, I'll have you know." Ellie raised her finger in a matter of fact way, Teddy blushing even more at the realization that he was in the presence of greatness. She glanced over at him and blew him a kiss, causing him to swoon like he was truly in love.
"Teddy, don't let those looks deceive you…she's sixty-five years old." Teddy suddenly snapped up from the ground when Dana mentioned the age, his jaw dropping straight down to the floor in shock. Ellie shrugged her shoulders, still smiling at the boy.
"B-but…I thought you were just a hot mom! You're actually a…hot granny!" Teddy gasped and jumped up into the air, landing in Fridge's arms and clinging to him like a terrified baby. "That's sneaky, lady! How much plastic surgery did you have to go through to maintain those looks!?"
"Mmm…none at all, actually. I guess you could say I won the genetic lottery." Ellie placed her hands on her hips and did a little dance, showing off how good she looked in her age. Teddy looked up to Fridge for advice, but the muscle hunk could only shrug.
Confessional
"I may be okay when it comes to falling for somebody's mom, but for a sixty-five year old granny!? That's…too old! I mean, she doesn't really have any wrinkles or anything…and she's still pretty hot but…" Teddy shook his head violently before slapping himself across the face. "Pull yourself together, Teddy!"
Confessional End
"Ahem. Teddy, if you would stop simping the old bag for a moment so I can get on with my spiel…" Dana glared at the boy through the TV screen, with Ellie shooting a glare back at her. "Sorry! Anyways…for those of you that were around for Mega Mechas, you may recall the security robots that we unleashed on Cali-Tokyo that one time, right?"
"Y-you mean those piece of shit robots that went around zapping all of us because Valoser couldn't stay quiet enough to get them to fuck off?" Caleb chattered his teeth as he remembered the painful shock that the robots delivered when they came in contact with you.
"I think you guys wrongfully eliminated me before that challenge…I guess I am unfamiliar with them." Brittany glared at the other's before realizing that Calvin was the only member of her team that was around for that elimination. "Huh…I didn't think so many of them would've been eliminated already. Guess it just goes to show that I'm better than them."
"I don't know if I would go that far, Agent Gemini!" Calvin got annoyed with Brittany's putting down of her former teammates, but the not-so rich girl only stuck her tongue out at him. The agent fanatic and BroBot, who was seated next to him, rolled their eyes at her.
"You brought that trash can with you on the plane?" Yves glared at BroBot, who was a bit shocked to be called a trash can by her. "Shouldn't he be left back at the hotel away from…'danger?'"
"Agent BroBot goes with me wherever I go! He's my little buddy, and an agent never leaves a fellow agent behind!" Calvin patted the robot on the head, causing it to beep a series of gleeful beeps, which only made Yves narrow her glare even more at it.
Confessional
"That annoying robot is a constant reminder of that awful night in the forest…the night that my relationship effectively died. I got its schematics to see if I could shut it off permanently, but there's nothing useful in there. I just wish it would go away already…after what Calvin pulled, he doesn't deserve the friend." Yves crossed her arms and looked away from the camera, clearly furious."
Confessional End
"Well, those security robots are back here for round two, only this round is going to be a bit more fair than the last one!" Dana cleared her throat, ushering Ellie to reach into a crate in the far corner of the room and pass some rifle-like objects out to the contestants. "What you've got there are high-grade shock rifles…a zap from them isn't enough to do more than make a person unconscious, but the second one of those bots gets zapped with it…it'll be lights out!"
"It'll be nice to get some payback on those awful things…" Valerie clenched the rifle tightly in her grasp, her eyes lighting up ever so slightly with excitement. "They're the things that got me eliminated last time around…"
"Your task is pretty simple…you just have to airdrop down to the field and use the rifles to take out as many of the robots as you can. Of course, since this is a battle royale we're talking about, the last man standing will be crowned the winner…and be safe from elimination!" Dana grinned as the crowd gasped, each realizing the stakes at hand. "Everybody else will be able to be voted for tonight, so I highly suggest you try to earn yourself that immunity. Some of you have a pretty big target on your backs."
"I wonder who she might be talking about? Do you have any clue, Caleb?" Bunny glared at the chess player, who elected to ignore her taunting. "Hey, I'm just trying to ensure you're aware of your position here. After all, you were the one that wanted to get rid of all your allies, were you not?"
"A contingency plan doesn't mean I was actively planning to get rid of you, you shit for brains. It simply means that I had a backup in case things weren't going so well for our alliance." Caleb tapped on his forehead, indicating that he was just using his brain, but Bunny quickly zapped him with her rifle, causing him to jitter a bit before fainting.
"Oops…my finger just slipped there." Bunny shrugged her shoulders while Dana, Brittany, and Ellie glared at her, though Fridge was chuckling a bit from seeing Caleb get zapped. He immediately felt bad for this, as he stopped laughing and looked back to the floor with shame in his eyes.
"Of course, you all may not have noticed yet, but you're each equipped with paragliders that you can use to safely jump out the back hatch and land without…well, dying like a scrub." Ellie snickered to herself as she pointed out that each contestant was wearing a backpack of sorts, which none of them had noticed. "We dumped a whole lot of those robots down there, so it really shouldn't surprise you that…well, you're going to be surrounded the entire time."
"What do we do when we're the last one standing?" Brittany raised her eyebrow at the older woman, who directed her attention to Dana.
"When you're the final contestant left among the wreck, you'll simply make your way back to the hotel, where me and Ellie will be waiting for you. Aaron is there as well, but…well, he saw how high up we were earlier and sort of fainted. Whoopsie." Dana shrugged her shoulders before sliding ever so slightly to the side to reveal that Aaron was passed out in front of the hotel's doors. "Any questions? No? Wonderful!"
Confessional
"That…Bunny…is…a…bitch…" Caleb breathed heavily as he tried to recover from the zap that he had been dealt, only for him to jitter even more.
Confessional End
Ellie stood near the hatch to the outside, where each of the contestants, and BroBot, were standing. They all looked down to see how high up they were, some of them gulping out of nervousness. "My, my…are you kids scared? You need to jump out there to get the challenge started…so, with that in mind…go, go, go!" Ellie started shouting at the group to jump, and each of them took turns doing it. Calvin grabbed BroBot when he jumped, holding him tightly in his arms and causing the two of them to sink down to the ground faster than everyone else.
One by one, the remaining contestants opened their paragliders to slow their fall, with Caleb taking the longest amount of time to open his due to him still being stuck in some sort of shock from being zapped by Bunny. The blogger narrowed her eyes at the chess player, making sure to hover near him as he made his descent. "I hope you don't think that zap was the last of my wrath! There's so much more where that came from!"
"You're crazy, lady!" Caleb shouted back at the girl that was near him, only for her to try and fire another shock bolt at him from her rifle. Thanks to the air velocity and wind speeds, the shot missed him, but it still startled him. "Enough with the shooting at me, bitch! We've got an actual challenge to deal with here! Are you gonna spend all your ammo attacking me!?" She fired another bolt at the boy, this one just barely missing his left arm by a hair. "I'll take that as a yes."
"Would you two settle down with the fighting!?" Brittany started hovering near the two of them, glaring at both of them. "Just wait til we touch down on the ground so no one gets killed, at least!"
"As if I'm gonna listen to baby's favorite!" Bunny stuck her tongue out at Brittany, who rolled her eyes back at her. Of course, Fridge had to make his way in on the action, and he started floating towards the other three. "If you wanna defend him and work with him despite what he did, then I'll just have Fridge on my side!"
"Wait, what?" Fridge's eyes went wide as Bunny changed her trajectory to start gliding closer to him. He gasped out of fear and started to use his arms to paddle away from her as fast as he could. "N-no thanks, Rabbit! I think I'm done with all the alliances and things!"
Calvin was the first to make it to the ground, and where he ended up was quite close to the water tower where the contestants had fought Chris and his associates at some time before. The agent fanatic set BroBot down in the grass, detaching his paraglider from his bag and tossing it aside. "Well, Agent BroBot! What should our first move be? We want to outlast the other contestants, so we're gonna have to play this pretty smartly!"
"Beep bo woop beep bop bip zip?" BroBot flailed its arms about, doing several gestures with them while Calvin watched closely. Eventually, the little robot gestured to the top of the water tower, making some sort of climbing gesture with its clamp-like hands.
"Aha!" Calvin snapped his fingers, finally getting what the robot was trying to tell him. "You're saying we should take a vantage point, like the top of the water tower, and use it to avoid the security robots when they start chasing us down! That's a great idea, buddy!" The boy patted his robo-friend on the head, but the sweet bonding moment was cut short when the noise of several security robots flickered up. They both looked around to see a mob of the things starting towards them. "Guess we don't have as much time as I thought! Let's hurry up and climb up there!"
"Beep bip zoop!" BroBot nodded in agreement while Calvin started running towards the water tower, shock rifle still in hand. The secret agent strapped the rifle to his back so he could start climbing the ladder to get up there, while BroBot looked up to see just how massive the climb was for a little thing, such as itself. "Beep boop bop…"
"Come on up here, buddy! I don't want you getting lost in the mob and mistaken for one of those goons!" BroBot took a quick look around to see that the robots were closing in on them pretty quickly. It let out a mechanized sigh before starting its climb to the top of the tower, but after just a few of the rungs of the ladder, it was already growing phenomenally tired.
Confessional
"Bip zip vwoop bip boop!" BroBot flailed its arms around and started making a bunch of gestures, though it was a bit hard to understand. The general gist of the gestures seemed to be asking why Calvin couldn't have just carried it to the top of the tower instead of making it climb on its own.
"The last thing I want to happen is for Agent BroBot to get himself injured in that sea of security bots down there! Sure, the climb may be a bit of a struggle for him, but I believe he can do it! He's one of the best agents I've ever worked with, after all!" Calvin held a proud thumbs up to the camera with a grin on his face.
Confessional End
Teddy was one of the next contestants to land on the ground, with Fridge not landing very far from him. The two boys glanced between each other before taking notice of where it was that they had landed, identifying it to be the middle of the massive desert that encompassed most of the island. "Man, we got such a crappy dropoff zone! There isn't even any good loot around here!" The YouTuber sighed as he reached for his shock rifle, only to realize that it wasn't with him at all. "What the!? Where'd my gun go!?"
"Your gun…?" Fridge tapped his chin in thought before the lightbulb finally flickered on in his brain. "Ah! Well, you were doing some cool poses with it while you were still in the plane…I think you were taking pictures of yourself or something like that. When they told us to jump, you put your gun on the seat instead of your phone!"
Teddy looked down in his hand to see that he was indeed holding his phone instead of the shock rifle that Ellie had given him. He slapped the phone against his face in disbelief, hardly noticing that the security robots were starting to come towards him and the hulklike boy beside him. "Uh…Freddy? I think we should probably start running or something."
"Huh?" Teddy looked around to see the robots on their way, his eyes widening while he screamed at the top of his lungs. "Run for your lives, everyman for himself!" He started running as fast as he could, while Fridge took aim at one of the robots with his shock rifle. As he pulled the trigger, the shock bolt flew from the barrel, but something strange seemed to happen with it. Rather than fly in the direction that it was aimed, it suddenly shifted directions midair and chased after Teddy. It struck him right in the middle of his back, and he was knocked down to the sand, completely unconscious.
"Man, Freddy, I didn't know you were a magnet man or anything cool like that!" Fridge chuckled to himself before running over to the boy and bending down to pick him up. What was odd was that Teddy was incredibly heavy. Fridge tried his hardest to pick him up, but it just wasn't working like it should've. "Urk! You've really been eating your greens, Freddy!" The buff boy kept trying to pick the YouTuber up off of the ground, but it seemed to be of no use. He hardly realized that there were more security robots closing in on their position, and before he knew it, one of them grabbed him by the calf, delivering a shock to him that knocked him out cold.
Confessional
"Ugh…that didn't really make any sense, what was up with that gun? Fridge didn't even shoot at me, but the shock got me anyways? This battle royale is seriously rigged against me…they knew I would've creamed everyone else if I actually got a fair chance!" Teddy crossed his arms and rolled his eyes at the camera. A close look at his hair revealed that there seemed to be a faint yellow glow to it. Probably just the aftereffect of being shocked by the rifle.
Confessional End
Yves took her turn landing, although where she landed was a bit distant from the rest of the group. It was right in front of the forest…the forest that she hated oh so much from that horrible night before. She sneered as she looked at it, but shook her head and turned away from it to look off into the distance. There weren't any security robots in sight, at least that were around her, but that wasn't what was on her mind anyways. "I don't know where he landed, but I'm gonna find out soon enough…"
The dancer held tightly onto her shock rifle, starting to walk back towards the hotel with a glare fixed on her face. Each time she came across a security robot, she fired a shock bolt through its head, causing it to explode and leak oil everywhere. She didn't even flinch with each robot she fired at, but her glare did seem to get a bit more intense each time she fired a shot.
Back near the docks, the same ones that the contestants first arrived on the island on so long ago, Brittany and Caleb were landing. Brittany was quick to pull her paraglider off of her back, dropping it on the dock and looking around to see if any of the robots were around. Luckily, there weren't any, and she smiled a small smirk. "Ha! Guess we landed in a pretty good spot, didn't we, Caleb?" The not-so-rich girl kept on looking ahead, but when she got no response from the boy, she turned to look back. "Caleb?"
Caleb seated himself at the end of the dock, staring out towards the ocean as he sat there. He didn't have much of an expression on his face, just a dull stare that was cast out towards the horizon. Brittany walked up to the boy out of curiosity and knelt down next to him. "What's the matter with you? What, Bunny's shot has got you yearning for some deep thought or something like that?" She giggled at her own joke, but Caleb didn't even make a face.
"What's wrong is that I lost." The chess player refused to look at his ally as he spoke. His voice wasn't as confident as it typically was, either. Brittany paused for a moment before letting out a loud spurt of laughter.
"That's a great joke, Caleb! 'I lost!' Ha! You and I both know you would never admit defeat!" Brittany literally slapped her knee in the midst of her laughter before stopping once she saw that he still wasn't chuckling or laughing in the slightest. Her expression went sour, seeing him like this was unusual for her and she really didn't like it. "Okay, you can't actually be serious about this, right? Just because those two aren't on your side anymore doesn't mean that you lost."
"It's not them voting for me that I'm worried about. Mitzy was only trying to split up the alliance to weaken my game power. Haven't you realized that I've been in almost every single bottom two every single time our team lost a challenge? Not just then, but in the merge as well? My safety was only guaranteed before because I had the power of four people behind my vote…and even then, it was a close call. I don't have that barrier anymore. So again, I say…" Caleb stood up from the dock and dusted his knees off. "I lost."
Brittany stared silently at Caleb as he looked down at her for once. She pulled herself back up to her feet, returning the height difference between the two of them to normal. "It's just a matter of time now." Caleb started walking towards the island from the dock, stopping and crumbling down to his knees as soon as he touched the dirt. He slammed his fist down on the ground in a fit of rage. "I was so fucking close to winning, too!"
As he started throwing his tantrum, a swarm of security robots popped up in the distance. They started heading towards the two, and Brittany realized that they were sealed off from running anywhere because of where they landed. "U-uh…Caleb?" Brittany grabbed for her rifle and started firing shock blasts towards the crowd of robots, taking out a few of them in the process. "Caleb, I don't think now is a good time to be throwing this fit!"
"Goddammit! Dammit all to hell!" Caleb got up from the ground, grabbing his rifle and starting to fire blasts faster than the eye could see. With each blast, a robot was effectively destroyed, and oil splashed around in the air. The boy let out a massive scream of rage and annoyance as he started walking towards the oncoming robots and mowing them down like a one man army. Brittany was shocked to see him like this, just completely disregarding everything that was happening around him. Once the robots that were around him had been vanquished, he stopped firing his gun. Brittany could hear him breathing heavily while he dropped his gun to the ground. He looked back at her with that dull look still on his face. "So…me and you are just gonna have to power through the rest of the challenges so we can make the finale together."
Confessional
"Caleb's so weird…he just said he already lost because of the votes, but he even has a plan for that. I mean, the plan is to just go completely bonkers and crush the challenges, but he seems like he knows what he's doing." Brittany rubbed the back of her head, blushing ever so slightly before glaring at the camera. "Don't you even start with the weird thoughts, it was just kinda cool to see him acting all badass, that's all."
Caleb sat down with a chess board in his lap. On the side opposite of him, there were six pieces, each of them being the specialty pieces rather than pawns. Interestingly enough, the king and the queen weren't even on the board on that side. On his own side, there were only the king and the queen. "Royalty always ends up fearing the commoners just because of sheer numbers alone. But without anyone to dictate the moves of the commoners, they get sloppy. Go on you shitheads…just try to beat me. They'll stay on the attack so long that…'' Caleb grabbed the queen piece on his side and used it to knock the other six pieces off of the board. "...They won't even realize that they've cost themselves the game. But if I slip up…" He flicked the king off the board with his finger.
Confessional End
Bunny was the final contestant to land, and it was in the middle of the junkyard that they had visited a few times. She looked around to see Valerie sitting on top of one of the scraphills. The miserable girl was only loosely holding her gun and looking towards the entrance of the junkyard, waiting to see if any robots were going to try to make their way inside of the area. "Valerie…figures I would get stuck with the one member of this cast that I've got no interest in. Bleh."
Bunny sighed and shook her head as she started walking towards the scraphill, looking up at Valerie the entire time. It didn't seem like the girl had noticed her presence yet, and she could only shake her head while she stared up at her. As she looked towards the girl, she noticed that she had something shiny sticking out of one of her pockets. Bunny narrowed her eyes at the shiny object, but it was quickly obscured when Valerie stood up from where she was sitting. "What are you doing down there…?"
"Ah! Me? Well…I'm conducting research for my blog!" Valerie didn't seem too convinced with Bunny's answer, but the two of them shared enough of a mutual disinterest with each other that it didn't really matter too much. "And you! What are you doing all the way at the top of that garbage hill?"
"Well, considering I'm nothing but a big pile of garbage, I figured it would be fitting for me to just chill up here with the rest of my people." Valerie sighed and plopped herself back down on the pile, though the shiny object was still hidden from view. Bunny was annoyed with this, but she obviously couldn't say anything about it.
"Oh, come one now, you're not a pile of garbage! Sure, your style is trash, but you look…not terrible…most of the time." Bunny fumbled her way through not calling Valerie ugly as she started climbing to the top of the hill, though this started to make the girl up top panic. She kept quiet, but she really didn't want to have anyone get too close to her. "You know, maybe it would be cool if we were friends. I mean, I could help you not think you're so terrible, and you can, oh, I don't know…help me vote Caleb out of the game."
"Help me…?" Valerie paused for a moment before laughing ever so slightly. The tone of her laugh was quite the creepy one, as Bunny had never heard her laugh before this. "I don't know about that…so many people have told me they would help me in the past and they gave up on me pretty quickly." Bunny frowned at Valerie's opposition to the alliance. "By the way, I'd hurry up to the top if you don't wanna get zapped. Here they come now." The blogger looked behind herself to see that some of the security robots were coming in through the entrance, and she started climbing faster than before.

"I don't care for Bunny's offer of an alliance…I'm well aware of how Bunny treats her allies and her friends. Besides, what do I gain from helping her eliminate Caleb? Nothing, that's what." Valerie flipped her double vote idol in her hand while she stared at it closely, not even looking at the camera.
Confessional End
Caleb kept breathing heavily like before, standing as tall as he could among the robot corpses that he had made. Brittany slowly walked over to where he was, jumping up in fear when one of the robots jolted towards her from the ground, though Caleb was quick to fire another shock bolt at it, taking it out for good this time. "T-thanks…sorry, I guess I got a little distracted by…whatever that was."
"Just try not to get yourself zapped…we've just gotta outlast the other six, that can't be too hard." Caleb let out a deep breath and cracked his neck before starting to walk more towards the center of the island. "In fact, knowing how Fridge is…I'm pretty sure he's probably gotten himself out of the challenge already. So that's…only five others. We just-"
As Caleb spoke, he suddenly heard a thunderbolt crackling behind him. He and Brittany both turned to see that there was an odd sort of circle around the island. Outside the circle, there seemed to be a thunderstorm with heavy rain pouring down. It was then that the speakers around the island suddenly kicked on out of nowhere. "Oh, I think we forgot to mention something pretty important! There's a storm around the island, a nasty thing really. It's gonna enclose on a random location that we chose, this time around it was the watertower. If you happen to end up in the storm, something will activate in your gun and zap you, just like the security robots would. If I were you guys, I'd start heading towards that tower!" Dana's voice cut out, leaving Brittany and Caleb to exchange a glance of shared worry before they started heading towards the watertower.
Meanwhile, back in the scrapyard, Bunny was still trying to climb to the top of the hill that Valerie was standing on. The depressed girl was just standing there, looking over her rifle while occasionally glancing down at the robot swarm that was chasing Bunny up the hill. "Gee, Bunny…I think you should probably start going a little faster if you don't want those robots to start zapping you and all that."
"Well, it would certainly help if you would shoot a couple of them before I got up there! You know, if they get me, they'll just keep going until they get you, right?" Bunny glared at Valerie while she was climbing, though the girl at the top of the hill didn't seem to care too much about this. She shrugged her shoulders and fired one shock bolt down at one of the robots, successfully piercing its chassis and knocking it down to the ground. "Great! Now just keep doing that until I get up there!"
"I don't know about that…that sounds like a good way for me to waste my ammo. What happens if you don't make it anyways and then they start coming after me and I've got no ammo to get them off of my tail." Valerie sat down and let her rifle rest in her lap while she smiled down at Bunny, only aggravating the blogger even more than before.
"Well, it doesn't matter if you fire at them then or not! Just saying that there will be less of them to try and run away from if you start taking them out now! You're at the top of the hill, you don't have much of an escape route from there!" Bunny tried to grab at part of the hill to pull herself up, but it was unsteady, and she slipped further down, even closer to the robots than before.
"I don't have an escape route from here? Oh, I totally do…you wanna see?" Valerie smiled as she stood back up and backed away so that Bunny couldn't see her anymore. Suddenly, she started running to the end of the hilltop, leaping off and revealing that she still had her paraglider handy. She glided from the hilltop to the entrance of the scrapyard, where all the robots had left to chase after Bunny. The blogger was shocked when she saw Valerie land, completely unscathed. "Listen, I would love to hang around and try to help you out there, but I don't really wanna get zapped by any of those robots, you know?"
"Oh, you are such a-" Bunny tried to shout back at Valerie, but it was no use, as one of the security robots tapped her ankle and zapped her unconscious. She tumbled all the way to the bottom of the hill, landing safely on top of a mattress, luckily. Valerie snickered to herself as she saw the blogger land, turning around to walk away from the scene, only to notice that she had somehow become surrounded by the robots while she was watching Bunny's demise.
"...Oh, crud." Valerie groaned right before the robots collapsed in on her, zapping her and knocking her out, just like they had done to Bunny. With that, there were four contestants down and out for the count, with only Yves, Caleb, Calvin, and Brittany remaining.
Confessional
"I can't believe that Valerie just let me get zapped by those robots like that…you'd think someone as pathetic as she is would want as many friends as she could get. Sorry, not sorry." Bunny crossed her arms and turned her chin up and away from the camera, showing how annoyed she was with Valerie.
"That's what I get for not focusing on the challenge…stupid, Valerie, stupid." Valerie slammed her head against the confessional wall in a repeating motion.

Yves heard Dana's announcement, naturally this made her head towards the watertower with her rifle still in hand. By pure luck, she had landed in one of the areas that really wasn't swarmed with robots, so the path that she was taking was pretty much clear from danger. As she got closer and closer to the tower, she noticed something strange happening in the distance. It was unmistakable what it was, that being Caleb and Brittany, the two of them mowing down more of the robots that were chasing after them. "...Guess they picked a bad landing spot."
Yves rolled her eyes, continuing to walk down her chosen path while the two contestants fought off the robot swarm. Caleb was a good deal ahead of Brittany, while she was struggling to run as fast as him while she tried to fire at the robots. "C-Caleb! How are we supposed to outrun these robots when they keep popping up out of nowhere!? I think that storm is getting closer, too!" A robot got really close to the girl, trying to grab her leg with its hand, but she shot it down quick enough to avoid being shocked by the thing. "And I think I'm about to run out of ammo!"
"Just keep running, we gotta make it to that water tower to see who else is still in the challenge!" Caleb gritted his teeth as he blasted a robot through its core, destroying it completely. He glanced over his shoulder, his eyes widening as he saw that Brittany had tons of the robots around her at this point. "Brittany, look out!" The chess player started firing shock bolts back into the crowd of robots, taking out as many as he could to help Brittany outrun them, but it was no use, as one of them managed to zap her on her leg. She jolted around a bit before falling to the ground, but it seemed like she wasn't knocked completely unconscious.
"That…hurt…" Brittany groaned, starting to crawl towards Caleb while he kept shooting back at the robots in question. Yves took notice of the two of them again as she kept walking towards the watertower, though it was clear that she didn't care about their predicament. She walked until she reached a small hill that was completely covered in grass. From there, she realized that she could see the watertower, and, of course, Calvin, who was standing on top of it. She took a deep breath before crouching down on the hill and watching the boy closely, seeing that there were security robots surrounding the tower.
Meanwhile, Caleb had just finished dealing with the robots that were attacking Brittany, and the two had a moment of brief respite where he was able to check on her. He knelt down to her, a worried expression on his face. "Are you gonna be okay?" It was odd for Caleb to be worried or concerned for the well being of anything else, but Brittany was far too woozy to really mention that.
"I don't think I can keep heading towards the tower…why don't you just go and win the challenge on your own?" Brittany was able to force a light smile onto her face, but Caleb clearly wasn't having it. He grabbed her by the arms, hoisting her up so that she was clinging onto his back. "You're not gonna be able to outrun the storm if you're carrying me, you know that, right?" The chess player didn't answer the girl as he started slowly trudging towards the watertower, determined as ever. "Seriously…you need to win this challenge, right?"
"I'm not going to leave the one person on my side behind." Caleb spoke his words through his heavy breathing, continuing to press on despite the immense weight that Brittany was on his shoulders. "My family was always telling me I needed to realize when things were my fault so I can take dumbass responsibility or whatever the fuck they said. Well, I'm doing that now. You're my last ally, and I'm done treating my allies like pawns. We're the king and queen, the second one of us falls, the other falls. If I'm winning, I'm winning with you."
"That's really sweet of you to say that and all, but we can't win together if none of us win to begin with." Brittany groaned while she looked behind the two of them to see the storm drawing closer and closer. "Caleb…the storm is getting real close real fast. You have to drop me to get to the end."
"Fat fucking chance of that happening!" Caleb had his snarky tone back to his voice, but it was still obvious that he was acting out of actual concern for Brittany rather than his own security. "I'm not gonna leave you to get zapped in that storm, and that's final! So, suck it up and let me carry you to the watertower with me!"
"Alright, I'll stop telling you to drop me. We're going to both get shocked though, you know that, right?" Caleb didn't respond to Brittany's question, and the girl let out a slight chuckle in response. "Figures…you really are a stubborn ass. No wonder we make such a great team." Caleb kept pressing on ahead, but it was no use. At this point, the storm had caught up to them, and the second it did, the two were zapped by it, and knocked completely unconscious.
Confessional
"Man…Caleb sure does things really weirdly. I mean, it's nice to see him trying to be a bigger person and realizing his mistakes and all that. Heh, who would've ever thought that he could grow as a person?" Brittany looked pale from the several shocks that she had endured, but she still had that smile forced onto her face. "Who needs Fridge or Bunny? The two of them never made for good allies, anyways."
"It'll take a miracle for the others not to vote me out of the game tonight, so I'll just have to hope that some spontaneous shit happens and distracts everyone from voting for me." Caleb crossed his arms, bags forming under his eyes from the shock he took earlier.
Confessional End
Calvin stood on top of the water tower, firing blasts from his shock rifle down at the crowd of security robots that were starting to surround the tower. BroBot was still struggling to climb to the top of the tower, pulling itself up slowly but surely. It made staggered beeping noises as it climbed, eventually grasping the top of the tower and pulling itself up to stand behind Calvin. It hunched over, almost as if it was having a hard time breathing after that exertion of effort. The secret agent kept on firing at the mob below. "These rascals are quite the handful! They should've given you a rifle, too, Agent BroBot!"
"Beep beep bo woop…" BroBot still had its staggered beeping going on, eventually looking up from the platform below it and "sighing." It saw something far off in the distance, but it was mainly indiscernible from the rest of the clutter on the ground. Its eyes swiveled around in its cranium, trying to zoom in on the thing that caught its attention, and suddenly, a shot fired off. It wasn't a shot from Calvin's rifle, no. It was from someone else's. BroBot slowly looked down at itself, noticing that there was now a crater in its trashcan-like chest. "Boo…woop…"
Calvin grinned as he noticed that he had successfully beat the crowd of oncoming robots, only for his grin to disappear when he heard a massive thud behind him. He turned around to see that BroBot wasn't there anymore, though there was some oil splashed on the roof of the tower. "Agent BroBot? Where'd you go?" The agent fanatic peeked over the side of the tower, seeing that BroBot had crashed into the dirt below. His face lost all its liveliness as he saw his partner lying there on the ground, and he jumped down from the tower, landing right next to him. "Agent!"
Calvin scurried over to the fallen bot, taking its clamp hand in his own hand, his eyes widening as they saw the hold in its chest. "Agent BroBot, you're…you're hurt!" The secret agent lover started panicking, looking around at the fallen security bots frantically. "I-I got this! I'll get some parts from these guys and fix you right up! Just sit tight!" The boy got up and ran over to the wreck, dragging one of the security bots over to BroBot with him. "I can just…I'll do a little…"
"Beep beep…" BroBot's noises were growing fainter and fainter by each second, causing Calvin to look over with tears in his eyes. The robot looked up to his partner with its dimming eyes, but it seemed to smile with what little energy it had left. "Beep boop…woop bee boooooo…" And, just like that, its eyes shut off, no more light emanating from its body. Calvin was absolutely shocked to see this…he didn't even know what to say.
"Calvin, are you alright?" Yves rushed up behind the boy, placing her hand on his shoulder while breathing heavily, like she ran all the way over from somewhere far away. "I saw that robot behind you on the tower and took my shot…couldn't have you getting attacked from behind like that."
Calvin turned his head around and looked up at Yves, his eyes showing an utter lack of emotion at this point. "You…did that…?"
"Well, yeah, I-" Yves was suddenly cut off by Calvin blasting her with his own shock rifle, which zapped her and knocked her unconscious. The secret agent had no expression on his face whatsoever, it was complete emptiness.
Back by the hotel, Ellie was sitting outside with Dana, each of them waiting for the final contestant to come back from the fields of battle. "It's taking them quite a good amount of time…how long has it only been Calvin and Yves?" Ellie looked down at her phone, sighing as she saw how much time had past. "My, my…these contestants are a bunch of noobs."
"Hang on a minute, I think I see someone in the distance!" Dana raised her arm to point at a figure that was quite a ways away. A closer inspection of the figure revealed that they were holding something rather bulky in their arms, though the host and her guest weren't sure what it was yet. Once the figure came closer to them, they saw that it was indeed Calvin…who was holding BroBot in his arms. "Calvin? What happened?"
"...We lost a good agent today, that's what happened. A damn good agent…" A single tear dropped from Calvin's eye, landing on BroBot and causing the bot to zap him from the water touching its shot circuits.
Confessional
"Agent BroBot never did anything to harm anyone…all he ever did was wheel himself around to join me on the field. Nothing in the world could've warranted what Yves did today…" Calvin glanced down at his hand at a picture of him and BroBot standing together. His eyes were still dull and emotionless, he wasn't sure how he was supposed to feel. "...Not a damn thing."
Confessional End
Ellie and Dana had collected up the contestants, bringing them along to the Colosseum of Shame, despite the fact that a good bunch of them were still quite groggy from being zapped by security bots earlier on. Calvin leaned against the back wall of the colosseum, his head tilted down so that he could stare at the ground and be left alone to his thoughts. Teddy slumped over, using Fridge's arm as a headrest, while the macho man himself was leaning forward in his seat, drool dripping from his open mouth while he was still knocked out. Yves was quite wobbly where she was sitting, and every few seconds she would jolt like she was being zapped all over again. Brittany sighed as Caleb rested his aching head in her lap, trying her best to keep sitting up…despite the fact that she felt too weak to do so. Bunny was still knocked out entirely, with Valerie cradling her like a baby, being too groggy to realize what she was doing.
"Well, well…despite the atrocious happenings that occurred during today's challenge, Calvin managed to pull through and claim victory." Ellie held up a bag of rations in her hand, "For that, he is guaranteed safe from elimination this time around." The gaming grandma tossed the bag to the secret agent lover, though he simply stepped to the side and let it crash against the wall.
"I think I'm good…I'm not very hungry right now." Calvin refused to look up from the ground, still thinking to himself about what happened to his partner.
"I understand…" Dana felt sorry for the boy, knowing just how much he loved that robot. "Because of Calvin's safety, the rest of you are on the chopping block for elimination, but after what happened, the votes seem to have lined up quite…one-sidedly. We'll continue to call names out and pass out rations…once your name is called, you're declared safe…but for the survivor that doesn't hear their name called, well, let's just say that they're a survivor no more. They'll be leaving the island via the Trampoline of Losers…and we will be down to our final seven contestants." The host grabbed the next two bags of rations, "Teddy, Fridge…you two are safe."
"Oh…woo…hoo…let's go…Teddy Bear…Nation…" Teddy slowly raised his arm to catch the bag of rations that was flying towards him, but he was a bit too slow, and it hit him in the face and knocked him flat to the dirt below. Fridge's mouth was still wide open, and his bag of rations conveniently landed right in it.
"Also safe for the night…" Ellie grabbed the next two bags of rations, jiggling them around in a taunting manner before tossing them out to two contestants. "There is Valerie and Bunny."
"Oh…you hear that Bunny? We made it…we really made it…" Valerie slightly smiled as she caught her own bag of rations before accidentally dropping Bunny on the ground. The second bag of rations kept flying, and as Teddy got up from the ground, it hit him in the head and knocked him right back down.
"And for the last of you that's safe before our bottom two…we have Brittany." Dana passed out the second to last bag of rations, which landed in Brittany's hair, though the faux-rich girl didn't seem to have the energy to move them. This just left Caleb and Yves in the bottom two, the dancer still jolting occasionally from the shock while the chess player snored like a toddler during nap time. Ellie stepped forward with the final bag of rations in her hand.
"My, my…one of you two was just a bit more worthy of the noob title than the other tonight. Caleb, your mistreatment of your own former allies has led you to fall into our bottom two tonight…though this was to be expected. Yves, friendly fire is never to be tolerated in a game like this…it was only fair that Calvin got a shot back at you for that." Ellie shook her head at the two of them while waving the rations around in a taunting manner. "This final bag of rations goes to…"

"...Caleb." Ellie passed out the final bag, which landed right in Brittany's lap. Caleb didn't wake up, he seemed to just grab the bag and snuggle with it like a pillow while sucking on his own thumb. "Yves, you did a foolish thing today. This is an expected result of such a blunder."
"Fine, whatever." Yves stood from her seat, jolting up from shock shortly after, but still pressing on towards the Trampoline of Losers. She glanced back over her shoulder at the rest of the group, a disgusted look on her face. "You know, we shouldn't be so sympathetic to the boy that knew Jay was on this island, but who am I to say anything? You'll get yours, Calvin…you'll get yours." With those ominous words leaving her mouth, the dancer jumped forth, jolting again in the air before landing on the trampoline and bouncing away in the sky. The other conscious contestants glanced at Calvin, or at least where he was, in question, but the boy was missing from the area. All that remained in that spot was the tears that he had cried on the dirt.
