Well well well, look what we have here. So sorry about the long wait but better late then never, right? Oh well, I tried to get this out way sooner but life and work and a not so healthy dose of depression said "Ha! Nope!". This won't be the last you hear from me, I am determined to see this through to the end. Even if that end doesn't come for 20 years. I. Will. Not. Give. Up. On. This. Story! You just have to give me time to write. Anyway, enough about me, please, enjoy this new chapter and Happy Holidays (even though it's technically post holidays at the moment) Enjoy!

Chapter 15: New Allies and a Choice to be Made

Ryler awoke the next morning to the faint sound of a whistle. He knew that could only be one thing. "Poor Pyrrha." he thought to himself. He sat up in his bed and looked at his new room. Due to how tired he was, he didn't have a chance to look around last night. That was pretty much the same case for his new roommates/teammates. The room looked a lot like what was in the show. It was definitely bigger than what he thought. He was currently in the bed on the far left when entering the room. In the bed beside him was Weiss and then Blake and Yang in that order. There was at least three feet of separation between each bed, so they wouldn't have to resort to making bunk beds. But where was the fun in that? He could go out and "buy" some lumber to make proper bunks, he could even help out Ruby in making their beds too. All that was for future Ryler to sort out though, for now he had to get ready for the first day of class.

The moment he sat up in his bed he heard a crash coming from the room across the hall. It seems like things were more exciting for JNPR this time around, or RRVN as they now were known. The crash, and the subsequent apologies coming from Ruby, were pound enough to wake the last three members of his team. Ryler stood up and walked over to the pile of luggage in the corner furthest away from him.

"Well, at lease whoever brought these up didn't just throw them in a random pile. Look Weiss, they even used your stuff as the base of the pyramid." Ryler said as he picked up a navy blue duffle bag and a suitcase to match.

"Yeah, the base, the sides, the tops and there are even enough left over to make a separate gazebo." Yang said as she also got up and made her way over to the stuff corner to get her things.

"It's called being prepared." Weiss said as she started sorting through her stuff.

"Prepared for what? A sudden outbreak of dinner parties? Or in case we get overwhelmed by a large group of charity events?" Yang replied as she also walked toward the pile of luggage.

Ryler returned to his bed with his bag and dug though it making things appear as needed. He pulled out a set of normal clothes for his day. Another change from the original timeline was the day of the initiation. The show had the team start their first day of classes the next morning after initiations. Now, however, Ryler was free for another day. He decided that he wanted to spend the day in the city. He looked back at his now arguing teammates. Weiss and Yang kept trading jabs and non serious insults all while Blake just sat in her bed reading a book.

He noticed that she was looking at him over the top of her book. it was only a short glance every once in a while but he could still tell she was doing it. He thought it was a little weird but maybe it just because he wasn't apart of the current argument going on. Nevertheless, he decided to let it go for now and made his way to the bathroom.

He was halfway through the door when a hand grabbed the door. Yang stopped him from closing the door all the way and even pulled it open with ease.

"Oh no you don't. I have to go first otherwise I'll never be able to wash my hair properly. It takes some time to fully treat these gorgeous locks to the care they deserve." Yand was running a hand through her hair as she said that. Ryler just looked out into the room and saw Weiss and Blake sitting in their respective beds on their scrolling through their... scrolls. Clearly they knew the pain of maintaining long hair.

"Yeah, I would allow you to go but the thing is..." Ryler didn't finish his sentence. Instead, he used his "semblance" to create a bright but brief flash of light to temporarily stun Yang. It worked and Ryler was able to close the door. "... I'm already in here."

Ryler heard Yang cursing outside the bathroom. He turned on the shower but didn't enter under the water, He simply sat on the floor and began to meditate. By focusing his mind, he could expand his senses to super human levels. It was part of the training that Sarah made him do. She said it was to create better awareness of his surroundings. By doing it repeatedly, it would become second nature to him and he'd be able to do it without needing to meditate to activate it. He knew very well that had he took this part of his training seriously, things would have been different.

Ryler cleared his mind and pushed it outward to its limits. At the moment he could hear clearly into the dorm room behind him. The three girls were having a conversation about where they grew up, their favorite activities outside of school, what kind of books, movies, and songs they liked, if they thought Ryler could be trusted... wait.

"I don't want to sound like I think he's a bad guy or anything. But something about him doesn't sit perfectly with me." Blake was the first to steer the topic to him. It made sense since she had been eyeing him before he came in here.

"I think he's a good guy, despite the flashbang he gave me just now."

Thank you Yang, I'll have to apologize for that later.

"But I do have to agree with you on that. It's like there's something he's hiding but somehow I don't think that it's a bad something." Yang had lost her apology. Ryler didn't know what to make of their words. Then they turned to Weiss to see what she had to say.

"What about you Weiss? You're his partner, did anything strange happen during initiation?" Blake was the one to bring Weiss comepletely into the topic.

"I don't really know, I was actually with your sister, Yang, the entire time. But because of the "first person you make eye contact with" rule, I was partnered with Ryler."

"So he started flying through the air, stopped a White Fang splinter cell, killed an Ursa Major and made a plan to kill a Nevermore based off of a TV show. Anything else we should make clear?" Blake asked, maybe to point out the absurdity of Ryler's first couple of days at Beacon.

There was a slight pause in the conversation as everyone was either thinking about everything said or because no one knew what to say next. Ryler also didn't know what to think about what they had said. He just learned that his team didn't trust him. He understood why but he still didn't like it. He was the leader of the team and if they didn't trust him, they wouldn't be an effective team.

"Why don't we just ask him about everything?"

Ryler sat up straight and turned to look at the door. He heard Weiss' suggestion and he was slightly surprised but also quite happy. Ryler thought about how to proceed next. He stopped listening to their conversation and stood back up. Using his power, He changed into the clothes he took with him and turned off the shower. He walked over to the mirror to look at himself. He took a few moments to fix his hair and to let the girls finish their talk. After a few minutes he took a deep breath and walked out the door.

When he left the bathroom he had the attention of the other members of his team completely. No one spoke. No one moved. No one dared to mention the tension in the room. Ryler decided to take his role as leader and took control of the room.

"Okay, first of all, you three need to talk quieter."

Weiss, Blake and Yang all looked at each other with shocked and embarrased faces. But still, none of them spoke.

"Second, I am going to tell you something that will change everything you know about life, reality and this entire wordl you live in." Ryler waited for them to say something but they were still silent. "I am not from your world."

Team ASTL was walking through Beacon's dorms, more speciffically, they were in the first year's dorms. Ryler had called them and asked them to go to his Team's room. Something about his secret. Terra wasn't sure what he wanted to talk about but she trusted Ryler. She lead her team through the halls of the dorms they once lived in. It was a nice, literal, walk through their memories. Charlotte was a lagging behind everyone. She had gotten into another shouting match with Tetra and was still a little upset with her leader's alter.

Terra turned around and started walking backwards to address everyone. "Remember, we have to keep what we talk about in there a secret, we can't even talk about it with each other, not even if we think no one is listening." Lance just raised an eyebrow at his sister.

"So, if we were, for example, walking through a hallway full of people that could possibly hear what you are saying?" The only thing he got was a look of realisation and a wide grin. "We know all of this already, Ozpin made sure to drill it into our heads over and over. "Silence is your best tool when keeping secrets, use it as often as you can"." As Lance was talking they had arrived at RWBY's door and Terra knocked. Lance had his eyes closed as he continued his small rant. "Really, do you think I'd make a stupid mistake like saying Ryler is an extradimensional alien out loud?"

Lance didn't hear anyone respond, he also a distinct feeling like he was about to be scolded. He opened his eyes and looked into the now open door. The confident smirk he had as he was talking faded as he saw Ryler and his three teammates staring at him. It was then he realized his mistake. He spun around to look at his own team. They all were just standing there face palming at Lance's stupidity.

"Um... just kidding...?" Lance said, hoping that they, however hopelessly, would believe him.

No one did.

There was an awkward silence among the eight of them until Yang broke it.

"We know."

ASTL was shocked to hear that. Ryler had told his team about his secret? A secret that was so important to keep that they were told horrible things would happen if anyone else knew about it. Ryler for his part just told them to come in so he could secure the room. The girls of RWBY moved onto one bed on one side of the room. ASTL moved to the other side of the room but they didn't sit on any of the beds because they thought it would be rude. Well, some of them thought it would be rude.

"So, you spilled the beans, eh numbnuts?" Tetra flopped down onto Yang's bed and kicked off her shoes. One shoe landed near the bathroom door and the other flew across the room and landed at the foot of the bed RWBY sat on. Blake and Yang were stunned at the rudeness and Weiss looked like she was about to rip Tetra's eyes out. Ryler put a stop to everything before it could have a chance to happen. He used his power to pick up the discarded shoes and float them back to Tetra.

"Listen Tetra, now is not the time for you and your shit, give Terra back control or i'll force you into exile in her mind!" Tetra sat up ang glared daggers at him, he just met her gaze until she relented.

"Fine, I didn't want to watch you all fill each other's gobs with jizz anyway. Hey, loser, get back out here." With that, Terra took back control over her body and began apologizing to everyone. Weiss, Blake and Yang were all thoroughly confused by what had just happened. Ryler just sighed and rubbed his temple. He walked over to his four lieutenants and since Sakura was at the edge of the bed, handed her his scroll. "Just start recording me and any question that comes up, I really don't have the energy to do this twice. Which is telling you something because I literally have endless energy." She didn't ask why and just begand recording once Ryler got in position.

"Now, you all probably want to know more about what I just said, but to make sure everyone is clear, let me say that first part again. I am not from this world. I am basically a god. That most definitely is not something you would ever believe but I assure you that it is true. I am from another world called Earth, yeah yeah my world is called dirt ha ha, I've heard it all before. That's why I always liked calling it Terra." Terra perked up at that as he hadn't told them what his home world was called. "No, not you Terra. Anyway, I was nearly killed in an accident when I was a child but I was saved..."

After what felt like an eternity, everyone was caught up. Four sets of eyes were still wide in disbelief at what they had just learned. Ryler look at the others and asked Sakura to stop the recording. He walked over to her and took back his scroll. Now it was time for his new allies to reboot and try to assure them that everything will be alright. Weiss was the first to recover.

"So, in your world, we're all a part of a show created on what you called the Internet, which is basically your version of our InfoNet. And you know everything about our lives because you have seen a timeline that is years ahead of us now? So you decided to come to our world and save us from this Salem person using your future knowledge and universal super powers?" She asked, still trying to peice her blown mind back together.

"Yeah, pretty much." Was Ryler's simple response.

It seemed like that was all she needed anyway as she her own simple response of, "Okay".

Next to speak was Terra, "So you decided to tell more people without talking to us? I thought the whole reason you made us your go to team was because you would go to us for things like this?"

Ryler opened his mouth to reply but he couldn't think of anything to say. She was right.

"Okay yeah, you're right but in my defense, I was not thinking properly and kinda... forgot about you guys. Sorry," Lance took that opportunity to speak next.

"It is perfectly fine Master, you can tell whomever you want about your secret but please try to keep us in the loop. No one likes to be blindsided."

"I will keep that in mind." Ryler said. Sakura slowly raised her hand to ask a question. Ryler couldn't help but think about how adorable that was, he pointed at her to ask her question.

"Why did you have me record you when you were explaining things earlier?" Sakura was just as shy as ever.

"Well I have been doing that a lot lately and I really don't want to do it every time I bring someone into my inner circle. This way I can just play them the video and take a quick nap or something." Everyone nodded and gave varying answers of agreement at Ryler's reasoning.

Everything was going pretty smooth so far, which meant someone had not fully recovered from his revelations just yet. Yang. He looked at her and saw the state she was in. Sweat covered her face, her breathing was quick and shallow and she had a look that made it seem like she had just witnessed her parents doing the horizontal happy dance. She was definitely about to have the mother of all panic attacks. He made his way over to her and used his power to mimic Ren's semblance to put her mind at ease. He knelt down in front of her, placed his hand on her shoulder and watched as his blue aura flowed over her body. It worked like a charm and she was immediately feeling much more calm about everything.

"Better?" He asked her.

"Yeah, so much better. but keep going just a bit longer. I might freak out as soon as you let go." She punctuated her statement by pulling herself into his chest and held onto him for her sanity's sake. Weiss narrowed her eyes and slightly clenched her fists onto her knees. Ryler was too busy being frozen in place and having his own mini panic attack to notice. Using Ren;s semblance on himself helped bring him back.

"Can you guys scoot over a little, I don't think she's going to let go anytime soon and my knees are starting to go numb.?"

Blake just moved closer to the edge of the bed while Weiss gave a small "hmph' before doing the same. Ryler sat beside Yand and nearly started freaking out again when she placed her head on his shoulder and tightend her grip. Weiss was now visibly shaking and was glaring daggers at the two of them. She decided to do something about it and mover closer to Ryler. Again Ryler was close to losing his composure when he felt someone else wrap themselves around his free arm. He looked to his right but was only met by the back of a head of white hair. Blake had her hand covering her mouth to try and hide her smile at seeing Weiss' red glowing face.

Loking over at ASTL had him even more confused as they all had knowing looks. Charlotte had a smirk on her face, Saki was hiding her smile and blush combo while the twins just gave wide grins and a thumb up each. Ryler didn't know what to make of that so he just moved on.

"Does anyone have any other questions about what I said?" Taking a few seconds to look around told him that either no one had any questions or didn't have any at the time. "I will tell Ruby and her team soon as they are pretty important in this world and I also need to change things with them the most. I want this team to stay on the same course as it is now. I won't interfere with the timeline until I have to. That means I can't tell you anything about the future, no knowing about the future. I will do most of the heavy lifting in the background. Is that clear!"

"Sure"

"Sounds good."

"As you wish Master"

"That's alright with me"

"No"

"Okay, everyone agrees... wait"

Ryler looked to his left as Yang was picking herself off of his shoulder. She looked more in control now than two minutes ago. She had said no to him and he was curious why.

"Why not? I can handle everything just fine, I don't really need help." Ryler let her go and she stood up and took the spot Ryler was in when he told his story.

"I don't want someone to tell me how to live my own life. I am going to do what I want no matter if I was going to do it anyway. If there's a chance to make my life better than it would have been in some doomed timeline then I'm going to do whatever it takes to get the best of everthing. So no, I'm not going to just sit by while that chance is staring me in the tits, seriously, Terra was it, my eyes are up here."

"Yeah they are." Said Tetra as she continued to ogle Yang's fun bags.

"Damn it Tetra!" Said Terra as she looked away, trying desperately to hide her red cheeks.

Yang finished by saying, "I am going to be a part of my own future and there is nothing you can say to stop me."

Yang's empassioned speech gave the other two the boost they needed to join her. Weiss stood and walked over to stand beside Yang.

"Yang is right! All my life I have been told how to live and act by my father, I am not going to roll over this time just because you have beautiful eyes!"

...

Weiss quickly realized what she said and buried her face in her hands. Yang didn't help when she said, "I bet you'd roll over for Ryler" and poked Weiss in the ribs with her elbow.

"Okay, while I'm not as enraptured by your looks as Weiss, I do agree with them both. I want to do all I can to make not only my life, but every faunus' life better!" Yang and a still blushing Weiss looked at Blake when they heard what she'd said. "He most likely already knows, they can keep a secret if they are in this with him and you will probably find out soon anyway." Blake said as she gestured at Ryler, ASTL then her two teammates. She reached up to her head and gently pulled off her bow. No one batted an eye when they saw her cat ears.

"Yeah, we already know." Weiss said. That surprised Ryler as she hadn't known in the show. "It's pretty easy to tell you had cat ears considering we saw them move during initiation. Also you talk in your sleep." Blake looked embarrassed at being told all that.

"If you ever want to talk about that Adam guy you mentioned in your sleep, I'm here for you" Yang said as she walked around Weiss to stand on the other side of Blake, now it was her turn to comfort someone else. Blake just nodded and gave a quiet "thanks" in return.

"And if you want to talk about how and why you joined and left the White Fang, I will be here to listen to your story." Weiss said as she placed her hand on Blake's other shoulder.

Ryler just sat there stunned by their interaction but he was also relieved that he wouldn't have to deal with the "Wings" episode. "If you know, you know" he thought to himself. Wink.

Blake was happy that not only were her secrets finally out in the open but her team didn't hate her for keeping them in the first place. Still, she would have to work on that sleep talking habit.

Now that everyone and everything was going back to normal, well... normal adjacent... Ryler stood back up and made his way over to his team. Seeing each of them happy that they were closer and filled with determination about their choice made his next decision much easier. Seeing the positive outcome that this little change in the timeline brought about also helped. He smiled and said, "You leave me no choice, I have to kill you all."

"WHAT!" Everyone shouted.

"Ow my ears! Don't worry I'm joking! I'll let you guys help as much as you want." Ryler watched them all sigh in relief from knowing that they weren't in immediate danger then thanked him. "But you need to know what happens to you all in the future. Let me tell you, it is not a pleasent thing to know. You will see things you wish you never had, know things you will want to forget and you can't take any of it back. Are you sure you want to do this?"

They each looked at one another as if checking to see if they were all still in agreement. Yang nodded and said, "We're not backing down."

"Okay, this is going to take a few hours to get through, I'll make some snacks for us all." Ryler said. He used his powers to expand the room and create a small cinema for everyone to have a comfortable place to sit. Weiss objected to what he was doing.

"Are we really watching this now? Can't we go have breakfast first? or at least get changed?" She asked as everyone moved into a seat to begin watching the show.

"Sure go ahead, we can wait. We have literally an eternity to see everything anyway." Ryler said. Again he was met by confused stares, even from ASTL. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I made a protective bubble around this room as soon as the door closed. Time is literally frozen outside, check it out for yourself." Ryler pointed out the window which no one had bothered to look out of the entire time. They all looked out and saw a bird frozen in the air mid wing flap. Down below, on a path leading to the rest of the campus, students were just as still as the bird. One student was running witha few others behind him, probably being chased or something. Another pair were stuck mid kiss while sitting on a bench along the concrete path. A third person, a certain mace wielder was clinging to life in the breanches of a tree as a certain demon dog was below. Everything was silent and impossibly still.

"Yeah, I can do that, and so much more. Like this!" Ryler said as he made a buffet appear in the room. There was eggs, bacon, sausage links, home made hash browns, bacon, a variety of fruits, cereals and sauces, bacon, pancakes, waffles, and did I mention bacon! The room was filled with growling bellies and drooling faces, and one smug smirk.

"Oh yeah, I'm so going to marry you." Yang said when she saw the spread. Weiss wasn't happy about that joke but managed to keep from saying anything. Everyone began loading up their plates with their foods of choice. Weiss had a bowl of oatmeal with a side of strawberries, Blake had some waffles with a bit of syrup, Yang had steak and eggs with toast, Terra had a full english breakfast, Lance had a simple sandwich of bacon, eggs, lettuce and tomatoes (a variation of a BLT he called a BELT, genius), Charlotte had a bowl of fruits (a breakfast fit for a princess), Sakura had a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon with toast.

Once they all had their choice of food, Ryler made the buffet disapprear. Now they were gathered at the theater, everyone still happily eating and enjoying each other's company. Blake and Yang were chatting with Terra and Lance. Weiss was beside Charlotte talking about their families. Saki was off to the side by herself. She was quiet and had barely touched her food. Ryler waked over to her and took a seat beside her.

"Hey there Saki. How are you doing with all of this?" Ryler asked her.

Sakura jumped a little in her seat and turn her attention from her plate of food to Ryler. She shifted in her seat, clearly she was feeling unconfortable. Ryler tried to make her feel better so he used his power to change Ren's semblance a little. He made himself literally radiate Ren's semblance ever so slightly. Ryler was a little surprised, a feeling he had been having a lot recently, when he saw that she was still feeling uncomfortable. He increased the effect of his current power but still she was shifting nervously in her seat.

"That won't work for me." Sakura told him. Ryler immediately stopped trying to calm her with his power. That caught him off guard and he asked, "What do you mean?"

"My semblance is not like other peoples'. I can't control it like you can, it just happens. If my Semblance turns on, no one can use their Semblance near me. The range is random, sometimes it's short range, like now, or it can affect a space as big as a classroom. The only reason you can still use your power is because you are so strong. But still, nothing can affect me when it happens. I'm actually kinda surprised you can't affect me." Ryler listened to everything she had to say. He too was surprised that she had such a powerful Semblance.

"Okay, then let's just talk. Tell me how you are feeling, I want to help everyone since I'm the main reason you guys are in this situation." Ryler gently placed a hand on her shoulder to show her he genuinely wanted to help. It seemed to work as she stopped shifting around and visibly relaxed.

"Well..." she began. "I was just thinking about how everything has changed. I was just trying to become a Huntress so I can go home to help protect my village. But now, I'm involved in something no one had ever thought was possible. It's all just a lot to take in..." She hesitated and took a breath. "After hearing everything about your past again, I don't think I can help you, I think I want to leave but I don't want to let you down after you trusted me with your secret. I don't really know what to do now."

Ryler sat in his theater seat. He took in all he had heard, Saki was troubled by her role in his inner circle. Anyone would feel the way she currently is now, it really was a lot to take in. He knew he had to do something, this was someone who was really struggling. There was one thing he thought that he could try, one thing that was incredibly risky and could possibly cause more problems, one thing he needed everyone to be in agreement on to do, one thing that can't be decided on at this moment. He needed to think on all of this.

"I understand, I will have to think on what you've just told me. Right now, I guess all I can say is to not worry about it too much, if you can't handle things on your own, just rely on your team and now, new friends." Sakura looked around the room and saw her team and the other three members of RWBY. They were talking to each other and getting along. Ryler saw her smile at everyone becoming closer due to their shared positions.

Ryler stood back up and left Sakura. He walked down to the front of the small theater and got everyone's attention. He cleared his throat before beginning his short speech. "Okay, before we start, I just want to ask if anyone want's to back out now, like I said before, you can't unknow what you now know." He felt a little off saying that, he really didn't want to lie to his friends.

No one, not even Sakura, who he thought he saw had a more determined look on her face, stopped him or asked to leave. It was time to start the show.

Ryler dimmed the lights in the room and started the show.

"Legends, stories scattered through time. Man kind has grown quite fond of recounting the expoilts of heroes and villains, forgetting so easily that we are remnants, by products of a forgotten past..."
