Ok then and welcome back to another installment of my story 'The Legend of the Pirate and Monkey Kings' and so far the reception I'm getting is going well! Much positivity, likes and wants to see in getting in the reviews for this story and I gotta say I'm thoroughly impressed by it. We still have a long way to go for some spicy moments to happen and I now know who I picked for the pairings to be!
Drum roll please!
…
…
…
I'm not saying!
If I were to tell you who it was then where the mystery, and suspense, and build up be? If you guys already know then you would be patiently waiting for the "oh man is this the chapter they get to together!?" Type of mindset and be blue balled the entire time. Instead I'm gonna have you read it of course and let you figure out the bits and pieces of the pairings. I'll sprinkle in the hints and let the girl figure out that they like Goku or luffy or Zoro and so on and then the inevitable confession plot point.
So yeah, plus I want it to be realistic and genuine as possible. We have plenty of story so me hooking them up like around chapter 16 per say and knowing me that's like around towards the end of East blue saga or beginning of reverse mountain and we're forgetting some of the more crucial moments of story building and just only focus on the pairings or something like that.
Instead of like chapter 49 where everyone is acquainted and know each other strengths and weaknesses and know what makes them jovial and pissed. Having real drama and the build up and realization that 'I think I'm in love" type of scenario. All that good stuff.
But yeah other than that thread, I don't think there's anything left. Ok, see ya at the bottom!
The three novice and surprisingly already well known pirates in the East Blue were sprinting away from the Marine Base, Shells Town and into the harbor where their little dingy boat was at. Although the newest member didn't know that. While dashing away with his two new companions, Zoro decides to ask some questions about what he was getting into.
No
Turning his questioning towards his new captain with high spirits, the swordsman asks "so Captain, how many people have you recruited for your crew besides me anyway?" Too which Luffy looks back at his new recruit questionly at him.
"What do you mean?"
Zoro is taken aback by that response. How did he not know his own crew… unless he doesn't have one. Oh boy, what's he gotten himself into. He asked again "You said you were in the middle of gathering your crew for your ship. And if you're gonna be the king of the pirates, then I'd assume you have some members waiting in reserve."
"Nope, just you! Oh, and my brother of course." Luffy answered cheekily towards Zoro, who was dumbfounded by that. 'What have I gotten myself into…' thought Zoro. As the newly formed trio keep sprinting towards the harbor, Zoro asks his vice captain if what Luffy said was true "Hey, vice captain, uh, I'm sorry but what's your name?"
"Oh it's Son D. Goku, but call me Goku for short, guess I should have said that before huh."
"Ok then, Goku, is what the captain says really true? We three are what we amount to an entire pirate crew." Asked Zoro impassively due to his predicament. Who woulda thought a couple of really, really new rookies was able to get and convince the future greatest swordsmen to join these small fry pirates. Although he isn't as damaged physically, his pride and dignity certainly was more.
"What's wrong with that?" Luffy said quizzically "we're a couple of strong guys." Zoro just gawked at the simple answer. While the swordsmen believed in his captain's sentiment, strength alone can only get someone so far. "Ok, but please tell me you have a ship?"
"Of course we do!" Exclaimed the rubber man cheerfully as they were approaching the boat they came in. To say that the green hair swordsmen was… less than stellar about the boat was an understatement. 'Oh my god, I think I'll die just trying to cross towards the next island with these two!' Thought Zoro as a million other thoughts came as well. Goku decides to bring his hand onto Zoro's shoulder and with resounding confidence says "Don't worry about it Zoro, before long we'll have a big ship before you know it. Maybe even a cook along with it cause I'm starving."
"I can't believe that I got suckered by these two as my Captain and vice captain."
"ALRIGHT! OUR FIRST PIRATE CREW IS SETTING SAIL!" Boisterously yelled Luffy as they traveled across the sea of East Blue on their somewhat comfortable fishing boat. The rubber man was standing up pointing towards their next destination where their ship was taking them.
"I get the feeling that some interesting adventures will be waiting for us." Commented the swordsmen as he looks towards his cherry Captain, he looks over where his Vice Captain is sitting peacefully, arms behind his head, and looking up towards the sky. A comment from Luffy brings back the attention of Zoro as he looks at him quizzically, asking "You really seem more than obsessed with this King of the pirates business. Is there some kind of story behind that or any real reason behind it at all?" Asked the newest recruit.
Luffy looks back to Zoro with determination in his eyes that Zoro has never experienced before. While traveling he's met and fought plenty of pirates that thought they were hot shit, like their gods gift to the pirate world. Like there the new Gol D. Roger. However the eyes shown to him were not that of cockiness, arrogance or even bashfulness. These were the confident eyes of someone who knows that their dream will come true. "No reason at all. It's just… I made a promise to someone a while back, someone I swore that I would gather a great and powerful crew, find the world's greatest treasure, and become the King of the Pirates." As Luffy takes off his straw hat and cups it gently "And this straw hat knows the whole story."
"I see…" said Zoro as he smiled at the answer he liked. Just like himself, Luffy knows what it feels like to do everything in your power in order to make your dream come true… your doing it for yourself and someone else. The green hair swordsmen gazes back over to Goku and asks "So what is it with you? What's your dream to be? Do you want to be the King of the Pirates too?"
Goku looks over to Zoro "Me? nothing like that. I have a different dream that I have."
"Well what is it?"
Goku thought well and hard, he knew what it was. It's just...
Well...
In the past
Goku launched himself at his opponent, throwing all his weight into a single punch. His foe easily sidestepped though, and a moment later Goku felt a sharp rap on the back of his head. The blow, combined with his momentum sent him tumbling head over heels.
He landed hard on his back, sending the air rushing out of his lungs. He gasped for breath as his foe stood over him.
"I think that is enough." the man stated, folding his arms behind his back and straightening up.
"But grandpa, I almost had you that time!"
"No you didn't." Gohan chuckled, reaching down to help the boy to his feet. "You're still twenty years too early to think about beating me.If I remember, weren't you and luffy were going to meet again for another playdate."
"Well yeah, but I want to keep going!"
"But I don't. I'm a little too old these days son and I'm hungry." The mention of hunger set Goku's stomach rumbling, causing him to scowl at the older man's grin.
"Fine." the pair set off, moving down the familiar mountain trails. Goku breathed in the mountain air as they walked. He loved it up here, the cool winds blowing through his hair, the birds singing and flying all around unseen, and the way the land stretched out below the mountain, as though he could leap off the various cliffs and land wherever he wanted. It was such a peaceful place.
Now, if he could just land a hit on grandpa, life would be perfect.
Gohan glanced up at the sky, the sun was beginning to rise from their morning training. Goku was steadfast in his progression as a martial artist and he couldn't be happier. Apparently the boy had so much potential as a fighter, coming up with these unorthodox tactics on the spot and catching the veteran off guard. He was basically born a genius. While a lot of it could be chalked up to his teachings, Gohan also had to commend Bardock for giving him this opportunity. The boy's genetics and body composition was definitely more well built for fighting. Although giving thanks to a scumbag like him doesn't sit well with Gohan.
"Grandpa, I bet I can beat you back to the house." Said the jovial 8 year old.
"No way!" Goku broke into a run, with Gohan trailing behind with a smile.
The pair blitz downed the trails, leaping over the streams and running down the hills until they reached the shack. There they see an excited Luffy with a cyan sky blue shirt with a lion's head on the front, Beige cargo shorts and sandals to complete his outfit. Luffy, the energetic boy as always, was standing in front of the huts door calling out Goku or Gohan.
Goku put on a burst of speed and leapt, slamming the door open and sailing through, bringing luffy along for the ride through the door as well. The two tumble before finally hitting the other side of the wall. The two look at eachother and just begin laughing out of the blue, as if the action is an everyday thing for them.
"Ha! I win." he declared as Gohan walked in behind him, shutting the door gently.
"Well done." Gohan smiled, glancing at the two hyperactive boys as he checked the two over for any injuries worth attending to immediately. He smiled with relief as its only a couple of scratches. If Garp ever found out that his grandson was badly hurt while on his watch, he might never live long enough to see them grow up, history be damn.
"Grandpa we're fine. See, I'm not hurt." Exclaimed Goku as he repeatedly jumped up and down while waving his arms at the same time.
"Yeah uncle! I'm fine as well!" Exclaimed Luffy as he demonstrates his well-being by running around in the small hut incircles. While Garp was his true and biological grandfather, the predestined King of the Pirates could always go to Gohan whenever the navy vice admiral wasn't around. He was like a second grandfather to him and vice-versa. Gohan enjoyed watching over the two but his old age was getting to him, especially because of his devil fruit.
"Yes, my boy I know now. However I'm getting too old for this, that was the last of my energy and I need to rest. Why don't you play with luffy for a while?" Explained the elderly martial artist towards his sons'.
"Yeah, come on Goku! I hear that Makino was going to make us breakfast today! And that it was something new!"
"Oh wow, really!" Cheered Goku happily at the news of getting to try new food from Makino, by far her cooking is the best, no competition. "Can I go to the village grandpa!"
Gohan chuckled, patting the boy on his head. "I don't see why not Goku, just be careful. It's a full moon tonight. Remember what I've told you."
"Oh yeah… the monster of the mountain." Said Goku sadly of what's to come tonight. Apparently to Gohan, a big and hairy ape like creature comes out to feast on the other animals as to quench its insatiable appetite, easily dwarfing all the other animals. Whether it be mammal, reptile, amphibious or bird, nothing was safe from its jaws.
"Yes." Grandpa started to hum to himself, reciting that little rhyme of his. "Beware, beware, the monster's out there. When the full moon sends out its heavenly light,"
"Close the door and shut out the night." Goku finished, sighing. "But grandpa, if it's so dangerous, why don't you beat it up. I've seen you beat every other monster that lives around here, they can't even touch you. Even the big tiger, bear, and crocodile!"
"This monster is not like the big animals we hunt, Goku. It is best left alone. Now run along and enjoy your breakfast. I'm sure Makino would love to have some company from the two of you."
"How come you get to go outside?" Goku whined, arms crossed. That's the one thing that had always baffled Goku, it didn't matter if Goku got a hundred times stronger in Gohan's eyes. He'd always forbid Goku to venture out on a night of a full moon, Goku asked from time to time why is that but Gohan would just change the subject or say 'it's just too powerful.'
"Because I'm strong enough to escape the monster." Gohan said as he didn't want to discuss the matter any further. "Please Goku I don't want to talk about this anymore. Go down to the village and enjoy your time there, I'll be picking you up around six."
Goku sighed as he and Luffy walked out of the hut and walked down the uneven and gravel road towards the village. It wasn't fair, he was strong. He beat up one of the spiky crocodiles by the lake all by himself just the other day. So why didn't Grandpa think he could handle this monster? Gou's tail started twitching as he frowned to himself. He wasn't sure if this monster was even real. He along with Luffy explored every inch of the mountain and never found a single sign of any mysterious monster.
"I don't get it, why doesn't grandpa trust me with this monster!" Said Goku with a bewildering tone as he braces his arms behind his head. He and Grandpa have trained like crazy so what did this monster possess to even make Gohan scared of it? How big was it? What was this monkey's strength like? Why does it only come out on full moons? So many questions and no answers within the young man's mind.
However Goku's most peculiar feeling towards it was his fascination with the beast. Something inside him just… I don't know… gets his blood boiling. And not in a good way. Whenever a strong opposition is presented, the young grandson of Gohan always challenges it head on without any regards of his life and the possible consequences. Fighting was all he knew, and this was no different. Getting to fight such a strong animal not even his grandpa wants to run into most definitely piques his interest.
Just how close he was to it was certainly ironic to say the least.
"Have you ever seen the giant monkey before luffy?" Asked the upcoming martial artist towards the younger boy just behind him. "Nuh- uh, Makino doesn't let me go out after a certain time every night so I've never heard it." Said the grandson of Garp as he picks his nose slovenly. The two walk over a huge tree root and cast aside a couple of bushes as they trek through the jungle.
"Well do you hear anything big and loud at night sometimes?" Asked again Goku as he tried to find answers to his dilemma.
"Nuh-uh, but some others, like the mayor, heard it once before deep in the jungle while camping." Explained Luffy as he heard about it a couple of times by the adults.
"Really? Mmmm…" the young monkey boy just looks up at the sky with contemplation while the boy next to him whistles merely for their coming day together. Luffy brings Goku out of his stupor by saying "Hey Goku! Look! We're here! It's Foosha!" Hollered Luffy with excitement. Usually it takes a bit to get to Foosha village from where the Son residence is placed but time seemed short since their time was spent talking about the monster of the night. The two bound over towards the village with glee as they sprinted towards Makino's bar, nothing can beat her cooking.
Luffy noticed something just around the corner of eye, something that wasn't there before. It's hard not to remember a giant galleon ship in the harbor before leaving. This ship appears to be a large vessel and has an extravagant amount of detailed decorations. Notably the ship's figurehead appears to be a head of a dragon, but more detailed and fierce looking. The vessel carries a bunch of palm trees on board. It also boasts a lot of sails than it really needs. It must have appeared after he was gone to get his brother, or at least how grandpa says it.
Not that he found it a problem, Luffy was taken in by Garp after he was born so if he has any other blood related siblings that he doesn't know then why didn't grandpa take them as well is a mystery but he suspects it's because he's an only child. So having Goku is certainly better than having no brother.
As the two continued down the dried earth path leading towards Makino's bar they could see a crowd formed at the entrance. They could see old mayor Woop Slap in the back delegating to one other member citizens of the village about this… dilemma. Woop Slap has a cleft chin, wears oval glasses, and has a mustache and a beard. During his younger days, his facial hair is medium-amounted and black, but currently they have grown long enough to become a thick mustache and a goatee, as well as turning grayish-white. He wears simple clothes and a hat that changes with his appearance, but they are similar to each other and wields a walking cane from old age. The mayor sees Luffy and Goku running over and shouts for them trying to get their attention.
"Luffy! Goku! Come over here boys!" To which the boys listen and go over to Woop Slap.
"Hey old man, what's going on inside the bar?" Asked Luffy curiously, it seems half the village is actually up, maybe more, and checking out what's going on inside.
"How many times do I have to tell you I'm not old! I'm just ageing is all!" Said the mayor quite annoyed by the comment of his wrinkled self.
"But you are old." Commented Luffy again about the indisputable fact. Woop Slap just sighed as Luffy's blunt personality wins again. Roar of laughter and cheering erupted inside the bar which confused the boys. Why would someone or a group of people drink this early in the day? It's their life they guess.
"Boys be careful, a group of pirates came here early and are in the bar. We're trying to assess the situati-"
"DID YOU SAY PIRATES!" Yelled Luffy with stars in his eyes. Without a moment's hesitation he bolted through the outside crowd and went into Makino's bar like a kid in a candy. And quite literally a kid. Busting through the double doors between him and his lifelong dream, Luffy sees an assortment of different kinds of people. From an overly cheery pudgy man in green and white shirt that clearly doesn't fit him, another in a corner smoking a cigarette and his large musket rifle by his side, and even a guy with blonde dreads and his many glass mugs that are now empty around him.
There was one however that did caught the attention of the future king of the pirates. At the counter talking to Makino is a tall, well-built, tan-complexioned, guy about in his middle to late 20's with distinctly red crimson hair. On his face resides a secondary trademark: a triple set of parallel, linear scars that pass vertically, at an angle over his left eye. The guy's outfit includes a sweeping long, sleeveless black cape with a high collar and under it a simple, white shirt half-buttoned up, exposing the middle of his chest and upper abs. Additionally, He is also wearing pants cut below the knee, collected halfway up the shin. Finally, his footwear consists of simple brown sandals, their soles gray-studded.
To say that Luffy was impressed was by no means an understatement. He giddy kid was even more excited that such a crew came over to HIS village of all places. The atmosphere suddenly shifted from them having a good time to staring down the pipsqueak that entered, all was having this deadpan look towards the toddler that strolled in. Even the guy with red hair turned to face Luffy.
Goku and Woop Slap entered the bar after Luffy but the two are also stared down by the band of pirates who occupied the bar. Woop Slap was petrified by the sight of them, if looks could kill, there's would be a massacre. Goku stood still as the mayor, however for different reasons. Up until this point, pirates were never discussed such as appearance or behavior other than uncle Garp telling his stories on the sea or Luffy mentioning how his dream is to be a pirate one day, but nothing how this scene played out. The monkey boy stood there confused on how to react.
"Hey what's this? Who invited the circus over."
"Hey pops. Get your kids and leave if you know what's good for ya."
While everyone seemed annoyed that the villagers came in, there was one in the crew who was frazzled by one of them. The guy with red hair was certainly caught off guard by the sight of one his old crew members kid here in the East. 'What the hell? Well I'll be dammed, he looks exactly like Bardock. The same hair and monkey tail. It's hard not to know where he came from. Guess East Blue is safer than we thought.' The man stood up from his stool and walked over to the three and staring at the son of Bardock "Hey kid" said the man walking over, looking at Goku "By any chance, could you give me the name of your father." Said the man as he is now a couple feet away from the trio.
"My dad? I've never met my dad before, I was raised by grandpa on mt. Pazoo." Explained Goku looking up to see stern yet compassionate eyes of the red head.
"I see… well I think it's better if you didn't know of him just yet." Said the red hair man as he shows a toothy grin towards Goku. Goku smiles back showing his own smile that Bardock would never be seen on his face. "By the way, I'm Shanks, Red Hair Shanks. And let's just say I knew your father for a bit of time. Gotta say, you are the spinning image of him."
"Really? Grandpa would always avoid questions of my parents for whatever reason." Said Goku to the newly aforementioned Shanks. The topic of his parents was never something he cared about since grandpa Gohan, Luffy, and Garp was all he needed, but maybe at least a name would be comforting. From time to time, he would always think of 'who were his parents' and 'why did they leave him' since his curious little kid mindset wanders for his abandonment.
"Say kid, what's your name anyway? And you keep mentioning grandpa? Is he your blood related grandpa?" Asked Shanks to Goku.
"Oh, yeah, my name is Goku, Son D. Goku! My grandpa's name is Son Gohan!" Said the monkey boy as his brown tail swivels from side to side. Meeting a new friend is always a good time. 'Gohan! Why would you bring him here knowing that then Bardock? Well whatever the case is, I'm sure you know more than me. I owe you a favor, and I'll do anything to protect your son.' Mentally said Shanks with the resolve of making the promise fulfilled.
"HEY PAY ATTENTION TO ME!" Hollered Luffy to everyone within the bar, baring a knife in his left hand. "My name is Monkey D. Luffy! And one day, I'm going to be a great pirate!" He proclaimed to everyone in the bar, some the villagers even heard from outside which made them smile as they heard it before a hundred times.
The trio of Woop Slap, Goku, and Shanks look at Luffy confusingly as to what he's doing. In the eyes of Shanks though, the runt gots some pair on him to say it in front of him. "Oh yeah? And how are you going to do that." said one of the many pirates in the room, to Shanks dismay, he might not like the idea of where this will go.
"BY DOING THIS!"
And the six year old Luffy digs the knife from his hand into his left eye.
After an hour of cleaning up the mess that Luffy made with his… act of badassness? He got stitched up pretty well by Makino. Turns out the knife only went in an inch thick, just below his left eye. Not deep enough to cause any serious and long term damage but enough to leave a scar. He scared the trio shitless by the stunt and even made the mayor faint. After the whole ordeal, they went back to drinking, eating and having a great time. A young Luffy and a young Goku were sitting on a stool next to the pirate with Shanks.
"It didn't hurt a bit!" Luffy bragged to anyone who would listen.
"Liar!" the pirate with the straw hat snapped. "Don't do anything so stupid again!"
"I'm not afraid of pain!" Luffy said. "Take me with you on your next voyage! I wanna be a pirate too!"
"Yeah!" shouted the young spikey haired boy. "I wanna be a pirate too and see the world!"
"Dahahaha! You two can't handle being pirates!" Laughed Shanks at the boys proposal.
I'm a strong fighter! Goku and I have been training a lot and my punch is as strong as a pistol!" Goku nodded in agreement as he was the first one to receive Luffy's punches.
"A pistol?" Shanks repeated. "Is that so?" He didn't really seem too interested.
"What kind of a tone is that!" Luffy demanded.
"Calm down, Luffy," one of the pirates called out. "Let's just have a good time!"
"Yeah, pirates always have a good time," added Lucky Roux, a fat pirate wearing goggles and green and white striped clothing. He almost always appeared to be eating large hunk of meat. "The sea is vast and there's lots of islands to explore."
"And best of all, pirates have freedom!" another pirate chimed in.
"Wow!" Luffy and Goku both exclaimed as they listened to the pirates.
"You guys, stop giving them dumb ideas!" Shanks scolded his crew.
"But it's true!" a pirate protested.
"Captain, let's take these lads with us just this once," Lucky Roux suggested.
"Aye!" another pirate agreed.
"Yeah!" Luffy and Goku cheered as they jumped off of their stools.
"Alright," Shanks relented, "but two of you will have to stay behind." That right there, had got 'em.
"Haha, sorry lads, you both have been beached," the pirates laughed before turning away. "Let's drink!"
"I thought you guys were on my side!" Luffy and Goku both whined.
"You guys are just too young," Shanks said. "Maybe in about ten years, I'll give you two a chance."
"Really?" Goku asked, believing the red haired pirate's remarks while Luffy, on the other hand, felt differently about the situation.
"Darn it Shanks!" Luffy snapped. "I'm telling you I'm not a little kid!"
"Don't get upset," said Shanks in an attempt to calm Luffy. "Here, have some juice!"
Luffy took the glass and quickly downed it, causing Shanks to burst out laughing. "Dahahahaha! See!" Shanks laughed. "A real pirate would never drink juice!"
"That was a dirty trick!" Luffy yelled.
"Yeah!" Goku added, though he was a little confused since he didn't understand the joke.
"Luffy… Goku," came the voice of a pirate with long black hair tied back in a ponytail, as he lit up a cigarette. This pirate's name was Benn Beckman and he was Shanks' First Mate. "Shanks is just trying to do what's best for everyone."
"How do you figure?" asked Luffy as both he and Goku turned to the First Mate.
"The safety of the entire crew rests on his shoulders," Beckman explained. "Being a pirate isn't all fun and games you know. A pirate's life is hard and very dangerous. Do you understand? He doesn't purposely tease your ambitions of being a pirate because he knows first hand of what it's like going out to sea."
"I don't believe it!" Luffy snapped. "Shanks just likes to make me look like an idiot!"
This type of atmosphere went on for the whole day, and days after that. Soon the days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months turned into one year. However there was a day that shook Goku's entire world asunder.
Sometime after Shanks arrival
The dawn of a new day was slowly arising for the Son family on Mt. Pazoo. The morning birds chirping on a perched tree nearby their hut, the orange and blue mingled throughout the sky, and the sun's rays were peering into Goku's side of his room. The light hitting his eyes, announcing to him that it's time to wake up. Usually he would be up early but today was his off day. When training one's body, both the training aspect and resting aspect are both important.
Goku groggily gets up from his futon and rolls it up and puts it away. It was about ten in the morning, give or take, since it takes longer for the sunlight to reach out towards their hut on the mountain. He gets fitted into his blue Gi, red wristbands, and black shoes and heads out to see Luffy, Shanks, and all the other Red Hair Pirates!
The grandson of Gohan sped through the forest in between his hut and Foosha village. Usually Luffy would pick him up, so where was he today? Probably got too hung up hanging out with Shanks again. Ever since Shanks came, he's always wanted to hang out with him and Luffy. Trying to know their lives , who they're related too, etc.
Goku reached the village to everyone in central square "Hmmm? I wonder what's going on? There's no parade or celebration today." He tries to Find Luffy but couldn't see him, until he reaches the center where everyone is crowding to see a sight he'd never expect.
Luffy was clinging onto Shanks torso for dear life.
Only one arm to be found on Shanks.
Something happened when he wasn't here, something big. Goku hurry's over to brother to find out what happened. A million thoughts raced through his 8 year old mind. Where was Shanks missing arm? Why was Luffy crying? What's going on?
"Shanks! Luffy!" Screamed Goku running over to the two. The captain of the Red Hair Pirates sees Goku coming and sets Luffy down so he can be with his brother. Luffy also runs to Goku and tackles him to the ground, balling his eyes out on Goku's Gi. "Hey Luffy what happened? Why are you crying?"
"H-Hi-Higuma kidnapped me and th-threw me into the o-ocean knowing I c-can't swim!" Cried Luffy as showed his puffy red eyes to Goku "Shanks saved m-me but look at-at him! He's lost h-his arm! HIS ARM!" The red head came over, knelt down, and consoled the traumatized kid as best he could. Wrapping his one good right arm around Luffy and telling it'll be alright.
"Luffy, like I said before, it's just an arm. It's no big deal. I've got another one right here, I'm just glad you're alright." Said the red head so compassionately and smoothly that it did calm him down, but just a little. This went for about another minute or two before Shanks had to let go so that he could get the medical attention and treatment that he needed. cauterizing the wound, adding antibiotics, painkillers, and any other treatment to be applied that the village doctor could do.
Although he is still shaken by the experience, Luffy was calmer than before and stopped wailing. After treating Shanks the best the doctor could, he then checks over Luffy for any internal damage from being in the ocean due to the nature of devil fruits. Thankfully enough, nothing life threatening to either patient.
"Hey boy's, I'm gonna take it easy today and rest up, but my crew will be more than happy to hang out with you. Isn't that right guys?"
"Yeah!"
Goku and Luffy looked at eachother then turned to shanks with worried eyes. Shanks always has a face with such bravado and confidence but the boy's didn't want him to put on an act for them.
"Hey don't look at me like that! So what if I have a missing arm, you think some shrimpy sea king will take me down!" Shouted shanks to the two of them.
"N-no but it-"
"Look I'm fine Luffy, honest. I'll live so don't worry about it. I'll live to see another tomorrow. But for now I need some sleep, ok?"
"Ok Shanks. I won't bug ya about it anymore."
Hours had passed and it was around six in the afternoon, and that meant that Gohan would pick Goku up from the village. Tonight was the night of a full moon so that's why the old martial artist would get him, so that the monster of the night doesn't get him.
"Hey… Goku… can you stay the night?" Asked Luffy hesitantly and quietly to his older brother.
"Sure thing, but hopefully grandpa can let me stay." Said the monkey boy with a smile.
Gohan walked into Makino's bar with his arms at his side carrying some groceries. He looks around and spots the two boys at the counter and begins walking over. "Hello there boys, is everything going good today?" Gohan didn't know what happened this morning, he's completely ignorant to it all.
"Oh hey grandpa, it's fine. Grandpa can I ask you a favor?"
"Well what is it Goku? It better not be another carrot cake before dinner, you get all gassy and stink up the hut."
"No it's not that!" Goku's cheeks were red with embarrassment. Makino and Luffy convulsed with laughter about Goku's late night tendencies.
"Well what is it my son?"
"Can I spend the night here?" Asked Goku. Maybe this one time Gohan can let him stay for this exception.
"I'm sorry but not tonight Goku, it's the full moon and the monster of the night is out there. Tomorrow should be fine, how about it?" Although his reasoning seemed sensible and straightforward, Goku didn't like that answer, he needs to change his grandfather's mind.
"Please grandpa, let me stay the night! I swear I'll be good!"
"That isn't the problem Goku, come on we're not talking about this here" said Gohan as he tried to grab ahold of Goku's arm but his grandson resisted and let go "Goku stop it and let's go, you can sleep over tomorrow."
"But why not tonight, besides the monster doesn't ever show up here so it should be fine!"
"I don't need to explain myself here Goku, please just understand that it's dangerous being here for you."
"But why! Is there even a monster like you said? I've asked people about it and none of them believe it, so why should I? They said it's a fairy tail and your just trying to scare me!"
"I'm trying to protect you Goku!"
"I don't need your protection! You'll never be my real dad!"
Goku sprinted out of the village as fast as his legs could carry him and into the wilderness, not really caring where he was going, so long as he's far enough away from Gohan. Why can't he spend the night over at luffy's baffled the growing kid. Sleepovers were a regular occurrence.
Before long Goku ran into the base of a tree trunk and fell on his ass, although most trees gave in and fell when met with a speeding Goku except the older ones but the trees down the base of the mountain are newer. Goku looks up only to realize that the tree he hit was the Giant tree of the forest. Going over a hundred feet tall and decorated with branches the size of fishing boats.
The boy stands back up and dust himself off the dirt any other foliage on him. It was pretty cloudy out, so it was kind of hard to see very far, plus being under the Giant tree didn't help either. Goku focused, trying to see if he could hear anything out of the ordinary being out here. Crickets chirping, the occasional night time birdsong, the hoot of an owl but nothing unusual. Just normal mountain sounds. Suddenly the clouds parted, flooding the area with moonlight. Goku grinned at the sudden bright light.
And looked up.
Gohan scoured the entity of Mt. Pazoo looking for Goku, checking all of their usual training spots, locations of their fishing spots, under foliage and cave entrances before night had struck. But he was too late. Then he froze as a sudden roar shook the mountain. The martial artist gazed in horror towards the source of the roar.
"Goku."
Gohan blitzed back towards the Giant tree in between Mt. Corvo andPazoo, snarling at his own stupidity. He knew this. He shook his head again. There was no point worrying about that now, he needed to deal with Goku before he destroyed the mountain. Gohan steeled himself as the shack came into view.
The giant hairy monkey that towered against the skyline, shaking the Earth with each stop it took. Goku was beating his chest as he roared his fury to the heavens. Gohan sighed, and closed his eyes.
This was going to be difficult.
The roaring stopped. The Giant monkey had spotted him and fallen silent, regarding the old man with a quizzical look. For a moment Gohan hopes soared, If Goku recognized him… then maybe…
But it wasn't to be. The monster's eyes began to burn with rage and it threw itself at him, its renewed roars splitting the night sky. Gohan leapt into the air and ran up the monster's arm. Goku was far too big for any normal methods. But it was not hopeless. Everything had a weak point. He dodged around the groping hand and reached the monkey's shoulder.
The martial artist launched himself at the monstrous face, channeled his ki into his fist, and slammed it into the beast's lower jaw. The punch created a shockwave that shook the other smaller trees for miles around, causing the beast's head to snap to the side. Gohan landed lightly on his feet and eyed the monster. Goku was swaying drunkenly.
It didn't matter how big you were, if your head jerked hard enough, the brain would rock within the skull.
The monkey shook its head a few more times and snapped its eyes back to him, looking angrier than ever. Gohan sighed, Goku had always possessed a hard head. He leapt aside as the monster lunged desperately trying to grab onto the nimbler martial artist, sending chunks of the mountainside flying into the air with every miss.
The few other hits Gohan had been able to get in had been shaken off, and Goku was being more wary, not letting the martial artist get anywhere near his head. It was just too much, Gohan couldn't let Goku rampage any longer.
There was only one option left.
When Goku lunged once more Gohan leapt aside, causing Goku to stumble. Gohan lunged and slammed into the monkey's leg causing it to trip to the ground. Goku fell heavily roaring with rage all the way. The martial artist stepped backwards and put his hands together, tightening his focus.
And reading his devil fruit...
"Ka."
Goku roared once more, his rage soaring to even greater heights.
"Me."
The monkey forced itself to its feet, turning to squash the little fighter that was infuriating it so.
"Ha."
Light began to gather in the martial artists hands, the monkey stopped, mesmerized at the familiar light.
"Me."
Gohan paused, looking up at the transfixed monkey. This would kill Goku. He knew it would, but it had to be done. Goku was dangerous when he was like this, he could level the entire Goa kingdom with ease. But… he was just standing there looking for all the world like he did whenever he was shown a new fighting technique.
Goku, his son, was watching in wonder, as his grandfather prepared to kill him.
"…No."
Gohan closed his eyes. As the light began to fade from his hands, he couldn't finish it, he just couldn't. The monster stirred, the spell of the light broken.
The monster struck.
Goku groaned, opening his eyes to see a dark Gray coated sky and rumbling thunder. This situation wasn't the best, waking up outside to see a desolate sky, feeling a little drizzle beating down. He got to his feet and stretched, his body felt so tired for some reason, especially his jaw. He looked around.
"Woah! What happened here?" he was sitting naked in the bottom of a crater. He crawled up the side and pulled himself over the edge, groaning as he moved. He was surrounded by a swathe of destruction, broken trees, shattered rocks and pulverized animals were scattered everywhere.
"What the heck happened last night?" Goku asked, scratching his head. He remembered going outside, trying to spot the full moon monster…
The monster.
It must have attacked him; it was the only thing that made sense. But… where was grandpa? Goku looked around, he could see a trail of destruction cutting back across the mountains towards…
The Giant tree...
Goku was off like a bullet, jumping crater, broken trees, and ravines as he hurried back home. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that the tree was intact, despite the concentrated amount of destruction around it. But… where was grandpa?
Goku stumbled over a scrap of cloth. He picked it up for closer inspection and froze… the symbol. This was part of Grandpa's gi! It was ragged and torn, but he'd recognize it anywhere. Goku tried to push down an unsettling feeling as he searched for the rest.
Grandpa was fine. He had to be. He probably met the monster, but he would be able to handle it. If he couldn't, why would he be willing to go out on the full moon nights? Goku began to move faster, desperately searching each of the craters.
He froze. At the bottom of one of them, he could see an unmoving body inside with intense battle damage that an animal could produce. The top half of his clothes were gone, nothing but a frail body laced with multiple lacerations a few inches deep, deep bruises, and even an indent on his right arm, looking all sunken and flat like. Dried Blood and dirt covered the individual all over from every opening it could come out of. And this was all Goku could see at first glance. He didn't want to think about all the other wounds inflicted on the individual… mainly because the individual was none other than his...
"GRANDPA!"
Goku slides down the crater to get a closer look at his grandfather, the sight wasn't getting any better. His heart sunk and tears started welling up, threatening to break through and start crying. He didn't want this for him. He didn't want any of this for his grandfather.
Why?
Why him?
He doesn't deserve this? He doesn't deserve any of this! So why, why are they doing this to him. How could they do this to him. Gohan has been nothing but a kind and gentle soul who only wanted to help him. Gohan took care of him and raised him like his own child. He loves nature and would always help him in need, always willing to go that extra mile.
So why?
Why is life so unfair?
"GRANDPA PLEASE DON'T DIE, DON'T LEAVE ME!" Pleaded Goku as he tightly hugged his grandfather's body. Smothering him with his tears.
"G-Goku… is that you…" it was weak, but at least he's alive. Goku looked into Gohan's eyes but they were shut. That was ok, so long as he's still alive. That's all that was important to Goku. "Grandpa…" said Goku hoarsely but tried to stay upbeat and positive. Although his eyes were still closed, he put a hand on Goku's cheek and slowly caressed him as his life was slowly fading out.
"Listen… my son…"
"Hey grandpa don't speak. I'll get you back to the village and doctor Koby can fix you up and-"
"Goku… my time is almost up… I've been living this long because of my devil fruit…" explained the dying old man in Goku's arms, everytime Gohan spoke his voice would get raspier and harder to hear. Even in death, Gohan still tried to comfort him in any way he can.
"Listen… I want… I want you to live and enjoy your life. Merrily and to the fullest. Move well, learn well, eat well, play well, and rest well. Because no matter what… I'll always be watching over you. My only regret is… to not be a better father to you…" that was the breaking point for Goku, those last uttered words were replaying like a broken record on repeat.
'You'll never be my real dad!'
God why did he say those words. Tears kept flowing out of him at his stupid and regrettful moments that those were the words he said to his grandfather before he died. Not a 'I love you' or 'thanks grandpa' but those god damn words he said is how Goku will remember it.
"I'm grateful to you Goku… you gave this old man a thing or two to learn about… I was there for you at the beginning," then Gohan's hand drops from Goku's cheek and onto the soiled, bloody ground "it's too bad I don't get to see how it ends…"
A droplet of water could be felt on Goku's left shoulder, a second later another droplet touched the top of his dirty spiked hair "Grandpa… hey grandpa," then a rain shower came and bombarded the two "wake up… come on, please wake up… grandpa… grandpa… GRANDPA!"
On that fateful day, master Son Gohan; a father, a teacher, a friend passed away.
Goku tied the scrap of Gohan's clothing around a maroon bo-staff decorated with Chinese designs imprinted in the bo-staff. It belonged to Gohan and would be used during their training sessions so he brought it back along with his other belongings and brought it to his gravesite. He didn't really know what else to do. He couldn't bear to move what was left of his grandpa, so he just filled in the hole with dirt.
Goku pressed his head against the bo-staff that belonged to his grandfather, marking the grave of the world's greatest martial artist while the depressing scene of rain still going. No one knows about what happened. Luffy, uncle Garp, Shanks, Makino, mayor Woop Slap, nobody. How can Goku face them and say Gohan is dead? He solemnly walked back to where their hut after bringing his special items and praying. He walked in and to the now one man home.
It didn't even feel like a home now without Gohan, instead it felt like a shell of its former self. "Well, time to get to work." Said the defeated eight year old as he began tidying up the place. Cleaning and drying out the wet spots from the carpet, picking up the tea set that was laid out yesterday, and sweeping up anything else that needs to be done. Goku tried to put away his grandfather tea set on the shelf but it was a little too high for him so he tipped on his toes for extra height. The result was he got the tea set up there but a couple items were knocked over and hit him. One of the items was a green little metal lunch box that Goku hadn't noticed before.
He opens it and sees an assortment of items such as a picture of him as a baby, probably when he was first adopted. He had a pacifier in his mouth and wrapped in a white and light blue blanket, being held by Gohan and uncle Garp next to him. The picture brought a wave of mixed emotions of depression, rage, and guilt.
There was a scroll inside as well, apparently it was all the six forms of Rokushiki and the practices to better his practices. Gohan really planned ahead for him, huh.
Goku saw a note at the bottom of the picture, he picked it up and unfolded it and read the contents inside.
Hello there Goku.
If you're reading this then you must already know that I have passed on and into the next world. I know it's a troubling time for you but just know that you will be loved and always watched over. When I first laid my eyes on you, you were hated by the world for simply being born.
But I saw something else.
I saw a lone and defenseless baby needing a home, someone to love and cherish that baby. With all their being, life, and soul and guide them to the right path.
I've watched you grow and got stronger, learn discipline, and care for your younger brother, Luffy. You came so far in your progress of becoming a martial artist. I have no doubt that in time you will be a great and powerful martial artist, maybe even a Grand Martial Lord. I've always wanted such a title not because of the fame but to prove the world that my practice is the best. It's selfish but that was before I even had Sengoku.
Within a weeks time of my death, go back to my sight and there should be a fruit. It's blue and
Before my final run.
Do me a favor.
Close your eyes, just close your eyes and you will see all the memories that you have of me. Just sit and relax and you will find I'm really still there inside your mind. Don't cry for me now I'm gone for I am in the land up above. There is no pain, there is no fear. So dry away those silent tears. Don't think of me in the dark and old for here I am, no longer old. I'm in that place that's filled with love, known to you as your heart.
Goku couldn't take it and wept as he read the last few lines "I swear Grandpa." Goku whispered, tears sprinkling the ground beneath. "I'll keep training until I'm the strongest there ever was! I'll make your dream my dream as well and make it a reality!"
Back in the present
Goku was brought out from his trip down memory lane after what felt like reliving it, reminiscing on all the good and dreadfully going through the bad. He gazes back at their newest companion and says "Just like my brother, I two made a promise to someone very important to me. I will make his dream my dream as well, and make it a reality for the both of us."
"Is that so" calmly said Zoro "So what is your dream to be or do?" Asked the swordsmen respectfully.
"I plan on becoming the next Grand Martial Lord!" Proudly stated the first mate as both he and the captain looked at eachother and acknowledged that whatever happens, they both will accomplish their dreams.
"You know, I gotta say I had my doubts at first about you two and being a pirate. But now after hearing what both your dreams are, I will be there and support you with every fiber of my being. You two have my undying loyalty as a swordsman, Captains." Explained Zoro to Luffy and Goku who were positively happy about his declaration. Looks like the crew is starting to take shape in the right direction and soon they'll get even more people. The three band of Pirates were drifting along in their little boat in comfortable silence. But the silence was eventually broken by Luffy.
"I'm starving!" Luffy complained.
"It's funny that you have absolutely no navigation skills," Zoro commented nonchalantly.
"Why?" asked Luffy. "Drifting has worked pretty well for me and Goku so far. What about you? Aren't you supposed to be the terror of the seas?!"
"I don't recall ever calling myself that," said Zoro, annoyed by the remark that people labeled him. It's not his fault for wanting to be the best swordsman in the world "like I said, people will talk what they want but they don't know me or my struggles. Besides, I followed a pirate that I was after out to sea, but I couldn't find my way back home. So I made the best that I could and went after the pirates that were in the area. Had to get some money somehow…"
"So you got lost?" questioned Luffy.
"SHUT UP!" Zoro said snappingly by the remark. "YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO PUT IT LIKE THAT!"
"Anyway, what kind of pirate doesn't know how to navigate? We've got to find a Navigator as soon as possible," The green hair swordsman stated.
"Yeah," Goku agreed, "and a cook, and a musician…"
"THOSE CAN WAIT!" Zoro exclaimed. At that moment, Zoro started to wonder what he'd gotten himself into when he agreed to join up with such a simple-minded captain and vacuum-eating first mate. At least they're not boring.
"I'm starving." It was now Goku's turn to complain. It was silent as they all thought about what they had to do since there was no more food on the ship. He looked up towards the sky and broke the silence when he suddenly asked, "Is that a bird?"
"Yeah! Look at that turkey!" exclaimed Luffy as he stared up at the pink bird flying above them, "It looks pretty big. LET'S EAT IT!"
"Huh? How?" Zoro wondered.
"I'll catch it," Luffy offered as he grabbed the sides of the boat and then walked backwards, his hands stayed where they were while his arms stretched.
"Wait Luffy," Goku interrupted. "That's not a good idea. It looks a little too far for you to use your Rocket move. You might miss that giant turkey and end up in the water."
"But I'm hungry!" Luffy complained.
"And so are we but I have a better idea, I can use that move, remember." Said Goku as he stands and stretches out his muscles for whatever plan he has. Luffy instantly recognized what his first mate was talking about and got excited. "Oh man I totally forgot about moon walk. Hurry and go get the bird, I'm starving!"
"Hehe, one turkey coming right up!" As the monkey tailed teen jumped up as high as he can. Zoro was lost in the conversation but Luffy kept smiling the entire time. When it looked like Goku was about to descend, he surprised Zoro and apparently jumped again on what seemed like the air itself, and then again he did the same trick getting closer elevated to the bird. Zoro was completely caught by surprise and gawked at Goku's seemingly effortless feat of flying.
"Hey! How the hell can he do that! Since when can he fly!" Questioned the swordsman towards his captain about this new development. "Huh? Flying? He's not flying, he's jumping off the air." Answered Luffy nonchalantly like it's an everyday occurrence.
"THAT STILL DOESN'T HELP ME UNDERSTAND IT!" Yelled Zoro at his captain, showcasing shark anime teeth. Then Luffy tried to best explain fromwhat Goku told him.
"Ok then let me see. Hmmm… it's like this. The Geppo technique allows the user to actually jump off the air itself, allowing them to stay in the air for much longer than usual. Users who can use this technique effectively can cross great distances without ever touching the ground, or set themselves up for swift, aerial attacks." Explained Luffy to Zoro as best he remembered. Zoro just looked shocked again. His Captain sounded smart and his Vice Captain can jump off air.
Goku finally reached to the top and was in front of the bird's line of direction. He locked on to and prepared to catch the bird. As it got closer, he realized that it looks bigger up close… really big… really fucking big. The bird was about the size of a house, with pink feathering and a bright yellow beak. Goku tried to duck out of the way but was to late, the bird opened its maw of a beak and snatched Goku by his monkey tail. Goku loses all his energy and becomes tired very fast as he and bird fly off.
"Guys… a little help…!" Goku called out weakly as the giant bird flew off with him still clutched in its beak.
"COME BACK YOU GIANT TURKEY!" Luffy hollered after the bird as he grabbed the oars and started rowing the boat after it. "I WANNA EAT YOU! …and rescue Goku."
"RESCUING YOUR FIRST MATE IS AN AFTERTHOUGHT?!" Zoro yelled. "What the hell were you thinking?!"
"It doesn't matter now, just start rowing!" Screamed Luffy back, trying to follow his first mate and first mate snatcher.
A while away, on Orange Island was a deserted town called Orange Town. Docked at sea was a carnival themed pirate ship, which probably explained why the village was empty. Well… empty except for a certain eighteen year old orange-haired girl was running away as fast as she could. She was holding a rolled up piece of paper in her hand that appeared to be some sort of chart or map. This girl was wearing a white and blue striped short-sleeved shirt and a short yellow skirt. On her feet was a pair of high-heeled sandals.
"Stop! You can't run from us!" came a loud shout of a group of three large but strange looking pirates that were chasing after the girl. "Thief! Give us back that chart!"
'I finally have it,' the girl said to herself as she ran off as fast as she could. 'The chart of the Grand Line.'
"Damn!" cursed one of the pirates chasing her. "If we don't get that chart back, we're dead! If Buggy finds out what happened, he's gonna kill us!"
On top of a pub near the harbor, was a tent that housed two mysterious figures that were hidden in the darkness. "Captain Buggy, there's an unknown object flying in the air!" A pirate reported. "What should we do?"
"Use the cannon and shoot it down," said Captain Buggy. His dark and mysterious figure was hidden and looked on with interest.
The orange haired girl was still running from the three pirates when a cannon was fired and struck an object flying and the three pirates stared in shock as something or someone fell from the sky and crashed harshly into the ground, creating a cloud of smoke and dust.
"Ow," came a calm voice in the cloud of smoke and dust. "Why the hell did they shoot me?" The smoke cleared and revealed Goku, slowly getting back up to his feet almost completely unscathed.
"Hey, who are you guys?"
Okay then ladies and gentlemen and I know what you're thinking and 'where have I been?' Well the holidays got the better of me and I hope you've had a fantastic Christmas, Hanukkah, new year's, whatever you celebrate. I hope It was a great experience and I hope 2021 is treating you well so far.
This chapter was mostly Goku centric and the reason for that is because we've already reviewed through Luffy's past in regards to his dream multiple times and instead I wanted to go through the perspective of Goku and see how he ended up the way he did. No matter what I think Gohan had to die in order for him to truly accomplish what his grandfather couldn't and Goku to never find the killer (although he did it, just never remembered) will set him on that path.
It will be discussed again and I'm having some debate as to when to bring the great ape back but it will for sure come back as a major plot point.
With that out of the way, I bet you're wondering on the developments of my new upcoming project and 'Fused guardian of fairy tail' and they will be coming out soon, actually that's why I've also been for that little period, while I did have a blast with my friends and family, on the side when I can would also be working on that so please forgive me for the late update.
And with that being said my latest project which I don't know the name for yet would be a future Gohan going to a different world, with the majority picking the One Punch Man universe so I'm really excited about that! I have a general idea how to go about it and I'll get the first chapter out soon.
With that being Said
I want your guys' help in thinking of a good name for my story! In the reviews of either this story or my other one go ahead and leave names and I'll go ahead and pick that name and mention it within my pilot chapter! I love interacting with my fans and getting you involved as well, I hope I'm doing a good job in communicating like this but if not then tell me!
Speaking of the reviews, let's see what you guys have to say!
pls keep it up: hey I'm back again with another update! Sorry you had to wait so long but hopefully I delivered this chapter!
Mighty ranger 1: ok then a lot to unpack here, to be honest long ones like these are amazing to me and love to see this much effort for my story so thanks brother.
I can certainly see why Nami x Goku and the pairings will come in time but I don't want to make it a plot point until later. Mainly why this pairing hasn't been done is because stories left it as a hiatus but it just take a while for me since I have just my phone to work with. Please be patient with me!
Robin and Luffy seem interesting like opposites attract sort of thing but I'll also keep luffy's pairings a secret as well, however I will say this much. Robins pairing will be with Ace so I can't wait to get to that part! Which means I revealed a spoiler… aww shit it's too bad I can't change it or not post that part XD.
Dbz fan: oh yes another one of these long posts, I love the feedback and interactions so please post like this as much as possible. Thanks brother for the feedback
Ok so while I do plan on making ultra instinct and Kaio-Ken a staple in Goku's arsenal, I do have an idea on where to put at least the first Super Saiyan transformation, but that's a topic for a different review. However if you've seen Salad Saiyan video on what if Goku and Raditz are twins then by like part 8 or 9 he talks Goku having Super Saiyan then going straight to 4 while skipping 2 and 3 in the process. And that got me thinking and… let's just say I love a good kaiju battle.
I love the depiction of ultra instinct and it's serious glare, oh man I can't wait to write it out!
I totally got you on Goku being this teacher chapter for the crew but most certainly I think the 'monster quadruplets' (Goku, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji) will benefit it the most. But the others will learn a thing or two so don't worry there.
Devinwaynexxxxx: yeah I have an idea as to where to put the Super Saiyan transformation but the thing is I'd probably have to nerf it as the multiplier is so high that nothing except the top tier can contend so that problem there. But I can probably introduce it still, maybe even the 4th form as well but… let's just say I love kaiju battles. As for the cell saga stuff that might not happen but I can introduce the villains in devil fruit form say like a Zoan type. Hopefully that'll be enough.
Sesshoru: I hear ya on that pairing but I wanna try a different kind of pairing if that's fine, and goes for both the brothers.
Dperson3569: yeah I like the cyan and orange combo that Goku has at the end of Z so I thought 'why not start with that.' Of course I can't leave out that iconic orange Gi so I'll introduce it later, but it'll appear. Right now at age 18, He's as tall as his original height in Z as an adult which is like 5'9 I believe so he's two inches taller than luffy I believe and I'll make him taller as the story continues. Thanks for the compliment and have an amazing day as well!
Gokusaiyagod: hey thanks for the compliment and I've already picked the pairings, just gotta read to find out.
Oh man I still have so much more to say but I think I'll end it here. Got any questions? Ask in the reviews and I'll answer in the next chapter. And with that, bye guys!
