I just don't own Merlin, but if I did, the ending sure would have been very different.
P.S. I will be posting once a week on the weekends. Sorry about the delay this week.
In The Line Of Duty
Chapter 2
Merlin was decidedly very irritated. The tight ropes encircling his wrists may not seem as wicked as the metal restraints on the Knights' and the King's hands but it sure as hell was doing a lot more damage. There were already red welts appearing on his sensitive skin from the vicious rubbing of the infernal rope's coarse fibre.
They were locked up in a dark, damp and very smelly cell that barely had any room for the seven of them. Especially the heavy and clunky armors of the knights. The cell was made out of stone with cuffs and chains emerging from the three walls. Metal bars lined the only way out. And to top it all off, Arthur and Lancelot were both sprawled out cold with identical bumps on their head and their hands bound with the same rope as Merlin's.
Percival was sat leaning against one of the corners to conserve space while Gwaine lay knocked out taking up one side of the walls. Lancelot and Arthur lay perpendicular to him. Leon and Elyan also took up one side of the walls, sitting up shoulder to shoulder. Merlin stayed hunched beside the last wall, cradling Arthur's head in his lap, thinking how their journey to this moment had started.

They had been at a steady gallop for over half the morning. All the while, the knights had kept up a steady stream of banter.
"I thought there would be some sword skill training before we did anything else today." Percival started.
"But it's also been a long time since we've had any fun like a hunt." Leon added.
"I was thinking I'd go visit that lovely lady I met at the tavern yesterday, but you totally ruined it with this bore of a trip, princess." Gwaine quipped with playful accusation.
"You can always just go back and search for her at the boring tavern, Gwaine, but you can always be sure that a hunt will be anything but boring." Arthur defended.
"I'm certain the tavern is anything but boring when Gwaine is around. He always manages to rally the strange folks into all kinds of fights." Merlin piped up.
"That I do, mate! It's just a part of my lucky charm to find trouble where ever I go."
"Well, let's pray we don't find any on our way ahead. I'd hate for a long-awaited hunting trip to be ruined by such trouble." Elyan said.

Merlin straightened suddenly and looked to his right just as a groan escaped Lancelot's mouth followed by dry coughing. Finally!
