An: I still haven't found my writing groove yet, but I can almost feel it a few inches away from my fingertips. The good thing is that I still remember the storyline that I was trying to write, but the number of words in this chapter is far less than any so far. So with this we begin with the Hemli act.

A deafening silence blanketed the forest. There was no motion… no rustling… no breathing for a few seconds, as all of the previous occupants of the house looked at all of the glowing red eyes staring back. There was no part of the surrounding forest that wasn't infested with ominous eyes.

Finally the dead silence was broken by the approaching clanking footsteps and the sounds of the figure brushing past the forest vegetation. With a loud enough voice, the figure spoke, "Well well well, it appears that Lord Dekaido was right after all." The figure broke past the last shrub and stood a few meters away from the group in the center of the clearing.

A look of confusion immediately replaced the shock on some of the faces of Gohan's children. There stood an armor-wearing warrior but what confused them was his small stature. The small furry fighter didn't look like much of a problem, but the armor he wore and the hate-filled red eyes promised all kinds of pain to the people in front of him.

"Lord Dekaido said that even though no cameras had captured you, that you were probably working behind the scenes pulling the strings; like always, isn't that right Son Ryoko?" the small rodent barked.

"Hemli," Ryoko tried to murmur to himself but the other overheard anyways.

Pan, still in her readied position, asked, "You know this guy?"

Ryoko eyes down casted before nodding. He didn't say anything, but it was visible to all the others that he was hurting from just seeing the creature in front of him.

"You know what I'm here for Ryoko! Make it easier on yourself and the others and just hand over your father!" Hemli signaled for his army to approach the campsite. From every direction, the rodent-like creature crept up, while others floated to create a dome around Gohan and his children.

Cerevak turned to the still shocked Fuyu and shoved her. "This is all your fault! If you had been paying attention then they would not have followed you back here! You led them here!"

Rize pulled the tailed Saiyan back and got in between both of them. "That's enough Cerevak. It was nothing more than a simple mistake, one that anyone one of us could have made."

Fuyu slowly stood up and dusted herself off. Her eyes were kept staring at the ground and said nothing to her 'brother.' She gulped many times before finally uttering an almost inaudible "I'm sorry," to her father.

"You should be sorry," Cerevak growled.

"Enough!"Hemli yelled out, tired of being ignored the warriors in front of him. "What is it going to be Ryoko, the easy way or the hard way?"

"You know that I can't do the Hemli," he responded.

"Then… you leave me no choice." He pulled his sword out of its hilt and turned to his army behind him, "Ready!" The power aura emanated from his army as they began to power up for battle. Hemli noticed a small child and an older female in their group, so he took pity on them and shouted, "This is your final warning, if you don't want to participate in this battle, leave now while I still grant you mercy!"

Gohan looked to his mother and brother to his side. He crouched down to battle-ready brother and tapped him on his shoulder. "Goten, I need you to take our mother out of here."

"What?! And leave you guys here, I won't. I'm going to fight by your side big brother," the young Son sibling argued.

"Goten listen to me! I NEED you to take our mother away from here. Go back home where you can protect her. I know that you could probably fight, but I need to make sure that she is alright, and you are the only one I can trust this task to. Please Goten." Gohan gripped his shoulder before embracing him.

Goten struggled against Gohan's embrace, since he didn't want to leave his brother, but he knew what he had to do, and with tears in his eyes he finally succumbed to what may be his last embrace with Gohan.

"I love you," Gohan whispered into his ear, "and I will see you when this is over." Gohan also gave his grief-stricken mother a hug.

"You are your father's son, and I know that you and your children will succeed." Chichi smiled and gave him one kiss on his cheek as Goten came over hauled her away from the battle field. It hurt her to leave her son, but she knew that she was no good to them, and would only serve as a distraction to him. The Son matriarch watched as the enemy parted to allow them passage out of the dome, and Goten rocketed towards their home.

Hemli signaled for the hole in the dome to be covered once again, after those two had left. He turned to Ryoko and the others twirling his sword before springing out his aura and powering up.

Ryoko watched with great dismay as both sides waited for the other to start. With little options he decided to warn his fellow brothers and sisters of the upcoming battle. "Don't underestimate them. They may not appear to have a lot of power, but they make it up with great speed, faster than I have ever seen and great teamwork to combine their power and take down a foe stronger than them.

"Also, I know this is too much to ask, but I'm still asking anyways; please don't kill them. They are not evil, but rather hurt by the decision that I made and are coming after me through my father," The older of the siblings begged.

"WHAT?! Are you kidding me, how do you expect us to win then?" Cerevak exclaimed.

Ryoko licked his dry lips as he responded, "You can knock them out. You don't have to kill them. Trust me, whatever you do, DON'T KILL OR MAIM THEM."

"Fine," Pan finally spoke. She didn't understand Ryoko's insistence to keep this enemy safe, but he knew more than he was telling them, so for now she was going to accept his terms. She only hoped the other would follow through.

Just as her eyes were turning back to Hemli previous position, she felt a strong amount of gust, before seeing that the leader of the enemies had crossed the distance between his original place and in front of Ryoko before she could blink.

Hemli wasted little time and slashed the unprepared Ryoko across his face. This was all he needed to do before his army followed his lead and began rushing the others.

Gohan's children couldn't comprehend what they were seeing, or rather what they couldn't see. Ryoko had warned them that they were fast, but nothing prepared them for what was happening in front of them. They could barely keep up as the thousands of warriors zooming by them. Every time anyone of them tried to arm a defense, Hemli's fighters would move around their defense and reward them with another punch or Ki-blast.

"Spread out," Ryoko yelled as he clutched the cut Hemli gave him. "I want two protecting our father at any moment!" Any other orders were cut off as Hemli planted his feet to the back of Ryoko's head making him fall forward to the ground.

Ryoko began picking up his head when he felt a piece of sharp metal under his chin lifting his head.

"How rude of me, I didn't even say hello. Well let me change that; hello Ryoko it's been a long time since you and I talked. Why I would say that the last time we talked was when you doomed my planet, my family." He formed a ball of Ki in his available hand and launched it straight at his face.

Ryoko winced as the ball exploded. The cut immediately being charred up and blood stopped flowing out of the opening.

The twins stood back to back trying to follow the path of the fast moving foes. Their eyes darted from one side to the other as they heard the whistles of the flying opponents around them. "Vasco, can you get a lock on them?" Rem questioned as he threw a punch but hit nothing.

"Try to follow their Ki," Vasco suggested. The auburn haired followed one of Hemli's fighters until he was close enough and threw a quick jab as he passed him. The small rodent flew uncontrollably until he hit a tree nearby. "Got one!"

This only served to infuriate the swarm around them. Rem turned to smile at his brother's achievement, but his lack of attention came back to bite him as he felt his face impacted by strong force before disappearing. Before he could react to the first hit, a rain of fists flew at him from all directions. His body shuddered from one side to the other as he forced himself to remain standing as he endured the never ending pain.

With almost no conviction, he kept trying to swing his arms in the hopes to catch one of his attackers with some luck, but this was not to be as look up in time to see a group of twenty soldiers hovering a small distance away from him. They held their arms out, each holding a ball of Ki, and with a single scream they launched their combine might to form an even bigger ball of Ki racing towards Rem. The auburn haired twin had barely enough time to put his forearms in front of his face before being dragged a few meters away by the exploding ball.

Vasco ran after his brother where he laid in a small crater. His pupils darted back and forth as he held his brother close with one hand and kept shooting at the swarm above them to keep them at bay.

The twins weren't the only ones struggling with these high velocity foes. Rize and Pan had also decided to team-up as they worked in unison to at least keep them from overwhelming them. Pan hopped using Rize's shoulder to deliver a kick to rodent that was preparing to blast the back of the tall child of Gohan. "Pan!" shouted Rize as extended one hand above him, and Pan quickly interlocked her fingers as she placed in his much larger palm. She braced herself for what he was about to do. The maroon-haired fighter closed his hand around hers and began to swing her like a bat against Hemli's soldiers.

After a numerous amounts of revolutions, Rize place the young girl back on the ground. She rubbed her eyes as she staggered in place to keep upright. "I'm telling you Rize; that move has to be worst idea I've ever seen," Pan commented as she tried to keep her dinner from coming back up.

"You may say that, little one, but you can not deny that it is a technique that our foes have ever seen before. In fact, it made a few stop in their track to watch your voyage, and I made sure to make them pay for their dearly mistake," announced Rize with a confident grin. He made to watch over his motion-sicken sister from the feral creatures that were slowly coming back to surround them.

Pan shook her head one last time before resuming her fighter's stance. "Yeah, well, I'm not doing that again," Pan declared.

The Ice-jin glazed-eyed watched what was happening around her but did nothing as she stood in the middle of the battlefield. Her mind raced with thought like, 'this is all my fault' and 'I put my father at risk'. She could see as her father fighting off the armored enemies. Chika stood by his side doing her best keep up, but she could see that they were slowly being overrun.

She clenched her fists in anger at her own slipup. Fuyu kept internally beating herself up over the fact that if only she had been a little more careful she would have noticed if someone had been following her. She was a great leader of her own squadron and would have punished severely if any of her underlings had made such a huge oversight. Her eyes closed tightly as she bowed her head in shame.

It was only a moment that she held that position before she felt someone backhand her. Fuyu's head went in the direction of the slap as she raised a hand to the affected area. Slowly her eyes turned back to meet with the furious eyes of the tailed Cerevak.

"Wake up you waste of space!" he bellowed. "This is no time for your stupid catnap! Do you not see the giant mess you made?! If you say that you're sorry and that you're different from the other Ice-jins, then get you act together and clean up your mess!" Small bits of spit flew out of Cerevak's mouth as he ranted.

Fuyu said nothing and for a second Cerevak was tempted to slap her again for good measures, but after a couple of blinks from the part-Ice-jin and she nodded her head. The tailed-Saiyan watched as she slowly picked up speed and began to fight off the swarm that was overcoming Gohan and Chika.

"This changes nothing," Cerevak muttered to himself. 'She is a liability to our father. I'm now one hundred percent sure of that.' He flew back into the fray as more and more of Hemli's soldiers were being knocked out, but they just had too many number to pull off a successful offense.

An: The battle has begun, but what is the story behind Hemli and Ryoko. I want to hear what your theories on what Ryoko could have done to make them turn to the dark side. Don't worry the other Z-fighters are also aware of the situation that is happening at the campsite and are on their way to help them, but until they arrive, Gohan's children will have to do what they can to protect their father.

Dear Smithback,

To them, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain, even if they die in the process. You'll see more when I get into their backstory, but we have already seen some glimpses at what happened in Hemli's Universe and what type of Gohan existed there.

The war has only begun and who knows just what these suicidal warriors are capable of doing for their cause. Death is not off the table. ;)

Dear nancy103,

Hemli's nest is one of the few enemies that I really hated turning them into villains as I can see the making of great heroes, but circumstances sometimes get in the way of those plans. As they say, even the greatest of heroes can be corrupted with only one bad day, and Hemli's bad day was something he could never recover from.

Dear Ashcrow Knight,

Originally I was going to do exactly that. Just have the origins as a bunch of bullet-points at the end of the chapter, but there are characters like Rize, Ryoko, Cerevak, Fuyu, and a few others, that their backstory is so extensive that I couldn't condense it into bullet-points. Especially since most have strong personal philosophies that bullet-points would do no justice to their character. I do try to introduce the parts of their backstory that is important to the overall story within the actual chapters so a reader isn't forced to have to read the Origins chapter, but it is much more beneficial if someone wants to take the time to actually read their history but not necessary.

Thank you for your input though. If you have any other suggestion or if your interested in a certain character that I haven't gotten to, please feel free to contact me and I can supply you with the information that you want. :)

Dear Kitsunelover300,

Dekaido's backstory and Ryoko's are intertwine, so it will be a while before we get to their backstory. However I will say that you are on the right path and yet not completely right. I'm impressed that you have guessed so much of my story, which makes me think I'm not being as coy as I thought I was.

I think Goten of Earth 2 (Rem and Vasco's world) is very reminiscent of the Mirai Trunks. This Goten grew up in a time and place that was very different from the usual timeline. This Goten grew up in a world where they were known protectors and from an early age he had to learn what it means to take that responsibility.

Ohhhh you can't even imagine how much I wanted to bring Mirai Trunks into this story as one of Gohan's children. In one of my earliest drafts of this story, he was a big part of the story and even played mediator for some of the initial clashes between the children. However eventually I saw that he would not be serving much of a purpose outside of bringing him for the sake of nostalgia. I was so disappointed because I also saw that the reason that the other children were called would not work with Trunks, because essentially Ryoko used his blood to look for others that shared partially his blood, and Trunks doesn't have a strain of Gohan's blood. However I might just bring him in, I just need to figure out how and when. (That is if I remember, but I'm sure you can remind me if I forget.)

I have not forgotten about Buu. Babidi will be in the story, but we will see how much destruction Buu can make with two very strong factions fighting at the moment. I'm sure neither one will stay cross-armed about the situation.

Thank you so much as always.

Dear Smithback,

Sad chapter but one that had to happen. Videl needs to learn about this quickly or she will die trying to fight someone that is clearly stronger than her.

Thanks for always reviewing.
