Chapter 11: Midnight Terror

AN: It's been a while since the last time I updated any of my stories. Unfortunately school always takes the lion share of my time followed by work. I usually work on these stories in between moments of freedom. Still I wish I had done more. A Daughter's Difference is also being written, so those that are waiting for that story I'll be sure to have it done soon. (Just not sure how soon.)
Under the light of the moon, the seasoned monk cut across the skies of the 439 mountain area. Krillin pushed as hard as he could to rocket at top speed towards the location of Gohan and his children. 'Please Kami; watch over them.'
Krillin turned his head to the right as Yamcha pulled up next to him. He could see the strain as Yamcha pushed harder to keep up with him. Since Yamcha had abandoned most of his training, aside from the occasional spar and work out to keep in shape, he had forgone any intensive training and was currently seeing the results.
"You felt it didn'cha, eh Krillin," Yamcha said as he pushed forward.
Krillin nodded in response. "Yeah… I think everyone felt it, but I think we will be the first to arrive."
The ex-bandit looked around as he asked, "Where's 18?"
"She had to stay behind with Marron," Krillin responded.
"That's too bad," Yamcha replied before laughing as he said, "She would have been a better reinforcement than either one of us."
The monk chuckled. "I'm sure she would, but Gohan has more than enough strong bodyguards. Come on Yamcha, just past this mountain and we'll be over them." Both Z-fighters boosted their speeds as they flew over the mountain and quickly dived down the other side.
Their flight came to a screeching halt as they gazed upon the battlefield. The meadow was being light up by the constant firing of Ki blasts in all directions and the random explosions. They watched as they entire area was being consumed by multiple fights, and yet they couldn't see the enemy. Krillin and Yamcha could hear and see a fight occurring before them, but they couldn't see the foe.
"Krillin…" Yamcha paused trying to form the words. "You're seeing the same thing right?"
The short fighter was about to respond when he heard shifts in the air growing closer to them. His eyes widen when figured out what those sounds were. He turned to warn his friend, but he only turned just in time to see two of Hemli's fighters briefly slow down enough to punch Yamcha out of the sky.
Krillin's breathe hastened as he began to look for any Ki around him and saw the hundred of Ki flying around the entire battlefield; with one squad heading back for him. By the time old friend of Goku tried to prepare himself for the incoming fighters, they were already upon him. The next thing he could feel is his body impacting the cold ground with such a force that small crater formed around him.
He grunted in pain while holding his shoulder. Krillin eventually opened his eyes and immediately wish he hadn't as he could see a giant ball of Ki descending upon him. Krillin threw up his one good arm and closed his eyes, waiting for the death ball to hit him. After a few seconds he opened his eyes to see the twins standing on each side of him, holding the sphere up.
"Am I glad to see you two," Krillin remarked as his good arm returned to hold his hurt shoulder.
Rem turned his head, "I'm just glad we got here on time. Aaah crap, here they come again."
"Rem," the other twin shouted. "I got this, take Krillin and I'll cover you guys." Vasco watched as he brother picked up the injured monk and took off. He could still feel the weight as the ball of Ki pressed even harder on his hands. Still, he persisted and kept the ball up until he felt Hemli's troops were just about to pass him. In one quick movement he blasted out from under the sphere and watched with glee as some of the furry fighters were taken down by the blast and the ensuing explosions. "Hehehehe, take that."
"Vasco! Watch out!" Rem tried to warn his brother, but it was too late as he saw Vasco fall out of the night sky.
"Damn, little shits," Vasco muttered as he got up and started blasting everything in his vicinity. He quickly dashed back to his brother standing by a tree, who was providing cover from the aerial assaults. Together they began to work in unison once again to provide the best cover while at the same time taking down the enemies that got too close.
Their stronghold grew stronger as the bald monk joined in as well. "You should rest," suggested Rem, but the Krillin was not having it.
"I came to help, not to sideline after the first few minutes. Besides, I've had a lot worse than a sore shoulder," laughed Krillin as he briefly remembered some of his less than stellar performance at other notable battles.
Vasco smirked, "You heard the man, now," he began to float followed by the other two, "let's take them down once and for all." He spearheaded their counterattack against another group of Hemli's warriors heading towards them.
"Hemli…" Ryoko coughed as stood up once again, "we don't have to do this. Please I beg of you, stop this pointless war." The banged-up dark haired warriors struggled to remain standing as he tried for umpteenth time to get the general in front of him to stop the madness.
The small rodent cracked his neck. "You just don't get it do you, Son Ryoko. I'm not your buddy. My men, they are all here to serve a greater purpose; to put an end, once for all, to the threat known as Son Gohan and his wicked offspring," Hemli's snarled.
The eldest child of Gohan shook his head, "Don't you see that Dekaido is just using you and your soldiers. I know that you are not evil, not like his other generals, so why are you side with a maniac like Dekaido."
Hemli barely held back his dry laughter, "You're one to talk about using people. Like you used us?"
"I…I," Ryoko tried to refute his claims, but stayed silent.
The armored rodent's whole demeanor drastically shifted as he reengaged in combat with Ryoko. Due to his small stature and high speed, the rodent general threw a flurry of attacks that combined kicks, sword slashes, and some intermediate punches.
All this happened as Ryoko did his best to block his strike, yet he never returned the favor. Ryoko only defended himself, however Hemli's superior speed would get through his defenses at times earning himself another bruise or cut depending on which attack made contact. "I refuse to fight you Hemli," he repeated once again.
"Then you will die!" Hemli shouted as he and his platoon descended upon Ryoko in fury.
As their onslaught came to a temporary rest, Ryoko rolled back. Slowly he got back on his hands and knees. He spit out the mixture of bile and blood that had accumulated in his mouth, a small trail connected from his orifice to the pool on the ground. A set of boots came into vision and even without looking up he knew they belonged to Hemli. His throat felt dry yet he looked up to the general in front of him. Their eyes met on an even plane, "What do you think…Beski and your son would say if they could se—."
Ryoko didn't even get to finish his sentence as Hemli's red eyes almost glowed with fury. He snarled, "DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK THEIR NAME!" The rodent general backhanded Ryoko as he shouted. "You have no right!"
Small specks of spit flew out of Hemli's mouth as the rage in his heart began to take over. He trembles as he spoke, "It's because of you and your siblings that my family, no…not just my family but my PLANET perished! Because I trusted you!" With one last scream he tackled the still kneeling Ryoko. Once the much larger son of Gohan was on his back, Hemli stood on his chest and recklessly began raining down strike across his face. There was no pattern, no thought, nor finesse in his hits. All Hemli wanted was to bring the son of Gohan the same amount of pain as he felt in his heart at that moment.
The blue-eyed Ryoko did the only thing he could at the moment and repelled him by releasing a large amount of Ki. He gripped his nose and could tell from just touching it that Hemli had fractured it. He sat up and could see a small distance away Hemli getting up with the help of some of his soldiers.
With tears in his eyes, he looked back at the bloodied Ryoko. "I trusted you," he whispered.
Ryoko eyes down casted once again. Even though Hemli's voice barely even registered with those that were helping him up, Ryoko still heard him, due to his Saiyan's superior hearing ability.
He wiped his eyes, trying to save face in front of his platoon, and talked with a small hiccup in his voice, "But that's all going to change. Lord Dekaido informed me of what happens when this Son Gohan perishes. He told all about how when he dies, all version of Son Gohan die and with so includes his offspring. My men and I are here to eradicate the monster known as Son Gohan, and neither you nor anyone else will stand in our way!"
Ryoko cough and immediately regretted it as the pain intensified. "No Hemli, not all Son Gohan are evil, not all of them are like him," he said referring to Son Gohan of Hemli's universe. "Just like not all of his children are as immoral like the neo-Saiyans! Look around and you will see what I mean! All of my siblings here are just trying to protect our father! They are not killing your soldiers, even though your men are out for their blood! The person you're trying to kill, this version of my father, he has been nothing but a good person his whole life! If you kill him, then you will be no better than the neo-Saiyans of your universe."
"I…I don't care!" shouted Hemli as he picked up his sword again. "Son Gohan and his children ran amok of my universe. They pillaged and destroyed everything in their path, including my planet, but you know that because you helped them! Who's to say, that this version of your father won't turn out like the one of my universe! What if he becomes an even bigger tyrant?! You say that these children of Gohan are more civilized than the neo-Saiyans of my universe, but that bar is so low that your average chimp can be considered more civilized than those warmongering apes!"
"Fine!" Ryoko announced. "Let's make a deal, you and me. I know you and your soldiers are angry with me, and I'm willing to give myself up in exchange for end to this needless battle! I'm willing to surrender my life to you right here, right now, if you call off your soldiers. I don't want neither my father nor siblings to continue suffering because of my past transgression against your people! Would that appease you?" Ryoko waited for an answer but Hemli only stood there.
Finally Hemli raised one hand up and the soldiers next to him stopped in their tracks. Ryoko released the breath he hadn't realized he was holding. He understood the terms of his deal and he was ready to uphold them. He looked up just in time to see with one fluid movement, Hemli pointed at Ryoko and instantly his soldiers rushed the eldest child of Gohan.
Ryoko barely had a moment to realize Hemli's decision before he was attack both from behind and in front of him. "Why…?"
Hemli reached down and pulled the grounded Ryoko up by his hair until they were at eye level. "I told you; I trusted you once before, even though every advisor I had thought it was a bad idea, and I paid for that trust with something I can never get back. I will not make that mistake again. Tonight Son Gohan will die!" Hemli formed a ball of Ki with his available hand and shot it at pointblank.
"Daddy, come on," Chika shouted as she grabbed Gohan's hand and led him away from the center of the battlefield.
Gohan's eyes darted back and forth as he tried his best to follow the movement of Hemli's fighters. He allowed Chika to pull him along but during this time he pleaded, "Wait Chika, we can't just run away!"
The young lady in the Chinese dress abruptly stopped and turned to speak with her father directly. "We have too daddy. These creatures are after you and will stop at nothing until you're dead. I know you want to help daddy, I know it's in your blood to stand and fight, but if we lose you," she slightly chocked as she said the last part. In a small voice she finished her sentence, "if we lose you, there will be no way to bring you back and we will die as well."
The son of Goku balled up his fist as he mulled what she said. He knew she was right; he knew that the most logical thing to do was to get away from this battle. He knew what were the consequences of dying as a prime outside of the prime universe yet Gohan detested leaving. These were his children, his family, which he was abandoning in the battlefield. Internally he was split about what course of action he should take, on one hand the safest option both for himself and the lives of his children were for him to leave the battlefield, but on the other hand every fiber in his body begged to aid his children in battle.
"We have to go," Chika pulled on his arm but Gohan didn't move. "Dad…?" she pulled once again, Gohan remained firm. "Please daddy, I don't want to lose you again," Chika mumbled.
Gohan's eyes widen for a second, but he didn't have a chance to ask what she meant when Chika was blasted from behind by a group of Hemli's fighters. The force of blast pushed her into him and he quickly wrapped his arm around her to keep her in place. With the real threat once again at the forefront of his mind, he quickly got back into warrior mode and began scanning and shooting any of the small warriors that got too close.
A quick glance down at the girl in his arms and he could tell that she was going to be okay. The detonation of the Ki ball disoriented Chika, due to the fact that she had lowered her guard at the moment that she was talking to her father. Gohan swiftly took off into the air flew in a random direction to give the young girl time to get her bearings.
His attempts to outrace the legion of fast fighters following him proved to be even more difficult than he had anticipated. Aside from the fact that they had the clear advantage of more speed, Gohan constantly had to course correct his direction when he sensed an aerial blockade ahead. He zipped across the dark sky yet as he looked around him he could see the rodent fighters were flying parallel to him, essentially cutting off any more change to his path.
The sweat rapidly slid off his forehead as he tried to come up with a plan. Some of those warriors began to break formation and come towards their prey, but Gohan was able repulse them away with a small expulsion of a Ki shield. It was momentarily but did the trick to keep them away.
His flight came to a screeching halt when he realized the trap he fell into. Ahead he saw hundred of Hemli's warriors floating in his path. The others that were chasing him quickly sealed any chance for him to fly back the way he came from. Within seconds he was completely surrounded. Some of the furry warriors began to faintly glow, but they did not appear to be condensing any Ki, so Gohan decided to put that bit of information away and focused on those that were preparing to attack.
In a rash move, Gohan decided to fly straight through the blockade, but as he was just about to impact with them, he felt as if he crashed against a glass door and was immediately repelled back. He held his nose as he questioned, "What the HIFL…?"
Most of Hemli's warriors chuckled at the demi-Saiyan's misfortune. One decided to speak up above the choruses of laughter, "I see you realized your predicament and one of our special abilities. We have placed a shield around you and so long as my brethren continue to hold; this shield around you is an inescapable prison."
It was at that moment that he realized what those glowing warriors were doing. However for Gohan to break the shield, he would have to take out those warriors that were glowing. The problem is that they were on the other side of the glass container so Gohan couldn't directly attack them. With little recourse, and Chika finally floating on her own, Gohan decided to proceed with his father's favorite technique. The hope was that Ki-based attack would be able to penetrate through his prison. "KAME—"
"Daddy, what's going on?" shaking Chika asked as she saw all of Hemli's fighters surrounding them.
A blue light emanated from within Gohan's cupped hand, the bright light illuminated the vast meadow. The red-eyed creatures stood defiantly in the face of Gohan's concentrated Ki. Not a single one moved from their respective position.
Gohan quickly brought Chika up to speed on what she had missed in the last five minutes before continuing the next part of the incantation. "HAME—"
Over the roar of his technique, Gohan shouted at the enemies, "Release us at once or I will fire!"
The laughter returned to some of the small furry fighters. The jeers of many began to rain down as they shouted for Gohan to just try. Their unbreakable confidence proved to be unsettling as Gohan felt that there was something amiss about this situation. 'Either they can't sense Ki and don't realize what will happen or they do know and have something else planned for my attack. What do I do' he weighted his options. All around he could see many of his children were engaged in battles across the open field. Yet the one thing he noticed was that most of his children were rooted to their respective spot as Hemli's warriors weren't even allowing them much space to move freely.
With no other alternatives Gohan decided to release his attack on the shield in front of him; always wary of any counterattack they could send at him. "HA!" The immense blue beam shot out of his hands and within seconds impacted the now visible screen. For all its power, the Kamehameha wasn't making any dent into the barrier. Instead the shield pulsated from the point of impact around the entire sphere. Chika noticed that those furry fighters that were glowing began curl up as they strained to keep the barrier up. Even some that had been laughing up until a few seconds ago began to look at gritting brethren with some worry.
"That's it daddy! Keep it up!" the girl in the Chinese dress encouraged her father. She also quickly brought her hands together and shot her own attack to aid her father's.
Just as the shield began to show signs of fatigue and spider-like cracks, the barrier completely healed up to its pristine conditions. Gohan and Chika's grin evaporated as they looked all around. One by one, the demi-Saiyans watched as more and more of Hemli's warriors began to glow until almost of the furry fighters around them were glowing. Those that began to glow immediately jerked as felt the onslaught that Saiyans were providing through their combine blasts.
"Alright Chika hit them with all you got," shouted the dark-haired boy as he channeled as much Ki as possible; Chika following suit immediately. "HA!"
This exchanged continued yet neither side was willing to give up. Slowly Gohan and Chika noticed that their combine discharge was growing smaller, until the Saiyans were left panting in the center of their prison. Gohan decided that the only logical thing was to take it to the next level. He had forgone his Saiyan transformation out of respect for Ryoko's plea to not kill these enemies; he knew that it would be harder to keep his power in check in his transformed state against these significantly weaker opponents. However the only way to break this shield was the power of the Super Saiyan.
Gohan was about to initiate his transformation when he noticed the state of the small fighters. They were glowing, but the intensity of their glow was almost blinded him.
"You see…" Gohan could hear someone speak from above. It was the same voice as the one that had initially told them about their predicament. "This special shield has many uses. It traps our foes within and no amount of brute force is capable of breaking the barrier. However, my favorite aspect about this shield is what is about to happen." Gohan could hear the devious laughter.
Gohan couldn't see the fighter that was speaking; only hear him due to the intensity of their glow. "What do you mean?!"
"Hehehehe… what I mean is that your attack has charged my friends, and they want to give it back!" he screamed. In an instant all of red-eyed enemies discharged back into the shield; which formed beams from all over the edges of the shield towards the center, where the Saiyans stood.
Gohan eyes grew as large a dinner plates as he watched his own Ki being fired upon him and his daughter. The young man barely had time to try as he may to protect Chika from the incoming blasts by drawing her towards him and forming a Ki shield around them. Due to the fact that they had expelled so much of their energies in their previous attack, Gohan's shield began to shrink so Gohan choose to prioritize Chika's survival. The dark-haired teen let out an agonizing howl as the blast began to shred into his back.
Chika cries for her father fell on deaf ears over the sound of Gohan's midnight cry.
After what seemed like an eternity for Chika, the blast died down but the damage was done. Almost of Hemli's warriors dropped like flies after releasing all that energy and with their fall came the disintegrations of the shield. Chika and her father fell to the cold ground below with the exhausted bodies of their enemies all around them. Chika soft sobs was the only sound emanating from that area.
The Ice-jin had done everything in her power to knock her opponent out rather than simply killing them. This was a practice that she was not used to. Growing up it was a lesson she first learned from her parents but only truly understood it once she on the battlefield; the lesson was keeping your opponents alive would only end in misery for her.
***Flashback***
A young Fuyu sat in the middle of the room as she awaited the arrival of her mother. Her father was currently on a mission, so her mother had taken it upon herself to begin her formal training. To say the young white-haired demi Ice-jin was ecstatic would be a great understatement. Finally she would be able to accompany her parents during their mission and wouldn't have to stay behind, so she fidgeted as she watched the doorway for any sign of her mother.
"Mother!" she shouted as she watched the female Ice-jin enter the room. Fuyu watched as a genuine smile spread across her mother's lips; a smile she reserved only when they were together as a family in private."I thought you said we were starting as early as possible," Fuyu pouted.
Her mother, Glacel, snorted before responding, "I had other matters to attend to, given that your father is off-world at the moment."As one leader of the new Planet Trade Organization, Glacel and her husband Gohan had taken her family's crime syndicate by force and reformed it to a force for good. Well, as good as one would expect from a former galactic empire. They retained the name for the impact the name had on the people of the universe. After all, their new objective is to become a galactic police force-of-sorts and stop the very people they use to be like.
Of course there was dissent between the old forces that used to work for King Cold and his sons and the new army that was amassing behind Glacel and Gohan. With Glacel's family no longer living, these deserters were dealt with swiftly leaving only those that could envision the new status quo for the new PTO.
Fuyu admired the very ground her parents walked on, as she could see the tremendous effort it took them to reach the pinnacles of their goals. As such she couldn't wait until she completed her training and begin her own fight in the name of her parents.
Glacel beckoned for her daughter to stand before her. After stretching, Glacel walked through a few fighting techniques she acquired from her family as well as some that Gohan had taught her. All the while, the Ice-jin empress talked to her daughter about the many politics behind their actions, the history they shared with the former PTO and her deceased family, but the most important lessons were about how to deal with an enemy force.
"Remember Fuyu, never, under any circumstance, underestimate your foe," Glacel recalled as she delivered a sweeping kick to her ill-prepared daughter. Fuyu didn't have time to mount a defense.
Glacel helped her daughter to stand before returning to her fighting stance and continued their spar. Glacel's lecture occurring at the same time so as to not waste any more time with a separate time for lectures. "Because it is those that we see as weak that could prove to be our greatest threat. They know they can't win, they know that their struggles are futile, so they are more likely to reach extreme measure to assure their victory, even if that mean killing themselves in the process."
"On that note," Fuyu's mother continued as her punch was deflected by the young girl in front of her. "It is most unwise to pardon your opponents life after they have attempted to take yours."
"Huh—?" her momentarily distraction allowed her mother to capitalize on her mistake. The young girl wiped her mouth as she questioned her mother, "Why? I thought the new PTO was supposed to protect life, how can we say that when we are willing to kill?"
"We do protect life," Glacel countered, "but when an enemy has attempted to kill you, it is very unlikely that they will ever stop trying to take you out. To allow our enemies to live another day is to allow them just another chance for them to strike and possible next time you may not be so lucky. Trust me honey, it is easier to take them out before they have a chance to execute us later on."
This single lesson proved to be quite difficult to understand. Even after she completed her training and was on mission with her father, she wondered if she had the guts to kill her opponent. As she looked at her hand, it slightly terrorized her to imagine the blood of her enemy on them. Fuyu would eventually have to face her fears. She had just hopped it had been later down the line.
As their battle drew to a close; Fuyu stood a few meters away from her downed opponent. He struggled to stand and continue their battle but didn't have the strength and lay back down. The Ice-jin had been separated from her father momentarily, and in that time had to engage in combat with this alien.
Fuyu concentrated a ball of Ki in her palm and held her arm up in the direction of the alien. She licked her dry lips as tried to get herself to release the beam and erase her opponent from existence. 'He attempted to kill me. I have to do this. It's what my parents have told me.'
However as much as she tried, in the end she could not find it in herself to kill her downed enemy. Her hand returned to her side as she reabsorbed her ki. "Give up!" she yelled to the man ahead. "Give up this fight and I'll let you leave!"
The alien looked at her with a perplexed expression. "I don't want to kill you, so if you promise me that you will leave and never return, then I will have mercy upon your soul!"Fuyu bargained.
The alien stood up and used his sword to keep himself vertical. He nodded and accepted her conditions. Fuyu released the breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "Okay then," Fuyu gripped her shoulder as she slowly turned around and walked away. What she failed to notice was the crooked smile the man gave her as she turned around. The Ice-jin felt a rush of air hit and barely managed to turn her head to see her opponent had violated their agreement. He was in the air with both hands on the hilt as he was about to drive the sharp-edge through her.
Before the steel could reach her, the alien was disintegrated before her very eyes. A blue beam completely encompassed him and by the time the beam disappeared so had the male alien. Her eyes locked on to the source of the beam to find her father, Gohan.
The spandex was partially ripped and his armor showed he had been fighting since the moment they had arrived. His cape was filled with hundred of holes. Gohan's cold steel-like eyes bore into his daughter as he reprimanded her, "That is why you don't pardon the life of your enemy!"
***Flashback End***
After that event, things changed for the young Fuyu. It still took her some time but eventually she grew to understand that killing was just another part of the battle. The years of fighting made her resolve grow stronger in favor of her parent's way of thinking, so today she no longer viewed killing with the same repulsion she once had. For this reason it became harder for her to accept Ryoko's plead for mercy on these small fighters.
Her mind struggled to settle on whether or not to listen to Ryoko's pleas or should she do what her parents always taught her. To spare their lives or risk making things worse and follow her personal way.
As another wave of the lightning fast fighters past her, Fuyu barely had enough speed to grab one by the ankle. This had been their way of fighting since the beginning; they would all rush at the same time and attack her from all directions. Her fists would fly through the air, but they had the velocity to dodge the extension of her arms and resume their flurry. Eventually they would all scatter leaving her with barely enough time to take deep breath. Any exposed skinned ached from the constants harm, yet she pressed on towards where her father was surrounded.
A ragged pant escaped her purple lips as she gripped the small fighter by the head and held him at arm's length. Her nails began to dig into his skull as the diminutive fighter futilely struggled against her crushing strength. She contemplated ending his life, to provide him with the same pain, he and his companions, had dished on to her, but in the end with her eyes half closed she landed a devastating blow to the small creature's abdominal area. His arms landed motionless to his sides. Fuyu allowed the knocked out fighter fall ungraciously to cold ground; to be added to line of soldiers she had left unconscious. No later had this happened when the soldiers returned once again and began their new campaign against her.
'I should just end their miserable lives,' Fuyu considered as she took another step forwards from a blast she received from behind. 'But…' a soft sigh escaped her lips, 'I've screwed up enough today. They asked me not to kill them, so…I should listen, right?' Angry at herself for allowing this to happen, Fuyu unconsciously released a Ki shield.
Fortunately, she released this energy just as a squad of Hemli's soldiers were about to attack. With her attention back on the battlefield, Fuyu noticed the dazed fighters in front of her. Wasting little time she pushed all her energy to speed up and made sure all of them were left out cold.
A smile nearly graced her feature as saw the number of fighters unconscious around her. The fact that she couldn't sense Ki or have a scouter on-hand had left her blind to her enemies' attacks. She had to rely on all her other sense to get a hold of just one soldier at a time, so the fact that she was able to leave so many of them grounded at the same time gave her a great sense of triumph.
That euphoria evaporated instantly when she noticed a bright glow behind her followed by a stomach-churning outcry. It came from the same directions where her father was surrounded and for a moment she felt her heart stop.
A completely deafness to the world took effect as she rushed in any way possible to the location of her father. Her vision tunneled towards the scattered bodies in the distance. No matter how fast she was going, she felt that the distance between them remained the same and an eternity kept her from see him, from seeing if he was alright.
Finally her feet came to a stop a few meters away from her crying sister. In the center of the scattered bodies of the knocked out soldiers of Hemli, Fuyu could see her father laid motionless on the ground. She could see her sister Chika speaking and shaking him, but her ears couldn't register what she was saying.
She felt as if a knot was forming in her throat. "No…" she whispered as she couldn't see his chest rising. 'It's my fault…it's my fault…' Fuyu for the first time in her life felt as if something was prickling at the edges of her eyes. One hand raised and touched the affected area, as she removed her hand she could see a liquid unfamiliar to her.
Her body began to shake. Her mind kept playing in repeat the voice of Cerevak as he screamed that she was responsible for Hemli finding them. Fuyu's nails began to dig into her palm and blood slowly seeped down to ground below.
"Also, I know this is too much to ask, but I'm still asking anyways; please don't kill them. They are not evil, but rather hurt by the decision that I made and are coming after me through my father," The older of the siblings begged.
'He said they weren't evil…that we should spare them… but look at what that got us!' Fuyu internally shouted. The voice of her mother and father echoed telling her that sparing an enemy was foolish and that only pain would come from such a practice.
'You…led them…here,' the voice of Cerevak returned once again. Fuyu gripped her head as the voices shouted at her to do something, telling her that she was responsible, and the image of her possibly dead father made something within her snap.
The ground began to shake as Fuyu released a hellish howl to the dark sky above. A white violent aura surrounded her as her body began to transform from the Ice-jin's second form to something that looked like the third from with a much smaller cranium and her white hair elongating.
That wasn't the only physical change; as the tips of her white hair began to lift into the air and flash gold. The aura grew wilder as it too changed to a gold color and within seconds there stood the Saiyan-Icejin-human-hybrid in her transformed state.
Her piercing blue eyes watched as some of the soldiers were rushing to finish off her father. Fuyu bared her fangs and lowly snarled, "No mercy."
AN: So Fuyu appears to have reached her limit, but the question is whether it's just her or will the others follow in her footsteps. Let me know what you guys think.
