"Victor and Gloria entered the Galarian Star Tournament, a Multi-Battle tournament, where they faced some of their strongest adversaries and managed to win it all. Now, it's time for our heroes to continue onward…"

"Dream Takes Flight"

Gloria and Drizzile are exiting the Budew Drop Inn to find Victor holding out a hand, "Okay, Pikachu, Quick Attack! Scorbunny, Ember! Silicobra, Dig!"

"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu runs ahead at a breakneck pace.

"Scor!" Scorbunny jumps up and shoots a series of small fireballs from its mouth.

"Sili," Silicobra jumps and dives into the ground, as Pikachu runs past and the fireballs fly overhead.

"Scor!" Scorbunny jumps up, as Silicobra bursts out of the ground.

"Sili!"

"Hard at work, I see," Gloria walks over to Victor.

"I just want to boost Silicobra's confidence some before we move out," Victor looks over his shoulder, before looking back ahead. "Now, Toxel, Acid! Silicobra, dodge!"

"Toxe!" Toxel shoots globs of acid from its mouth.

"Sili!" Silicobra slithers left to right, dodging the globs of acid.

"Good," Victor says, before looking up. "Okay, Corviknight, come down with Fury Attack!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight, who has been flying overhead, starts to fly straight down at Silicobra.

"Sili," Silicobra looks up.

"Knigh! Knigh!" Corviknight brings its wings to its side and starts to spin around.

"That isn't Fury Attack," Gloria realizes.

"Corviknight's trying to learn Drill Peck!" Victor adds.

"Sili!" Silicobra jumps to the side, as Corviknight spins past it.

"Knigh!" Corviknight stops spinning, spreading out its wings.

"Corviknight, that's awesome you are learning a new move," Victor comes over to his Pokémon.

"Knigh," Corviknight happily responds.

"Sili…" Silicobra sighs.

"Knigh, Knigh," Corviknight pats a wing on Silicobra's back.

"Sili," Silicobra happily says to its friend.

"Scor…" Scorbunny starts to approach Corviknight, when it notices Drizzile walks over.

"Drizz, Drizz," Drizzile gives a thumbs up to Corviknight.

"Scor, Scor…"Scorbunny looks away, upset.

Drizzile notices Scorbunny and tilts its head, "Drizz?"

Shortly later, Victor and Gloria are walking through Motostoke, with Gloria looking at her Rotom Phone.

"If we leave right away on the Corviknight Taxi, we can reach Stow-on-Side before it gets too late," Gloria says, before looking up. "But I wonder if we should just fly to Ballonlea."

Victor rubs the back of his head, "Actually, I want to do some more training before my next Gym match."

Gloria smiles, "That good. I want to see Glimwood Tangle anyway, and it's right between Stow-on-Side and Ballonlea."

"Then it'll settle," Victor starts. "Stow-on-Side it is."

After a few moments, Victor and Gloria approach the Corviknight Taxi stand, but only find the driver standing by himself.

"Hum, excuse me, we want to use the Corviknight Taxi…" Gloria says, before leans to the side a little bit. "But… where your Corviknight."

The driver sighs, "My Corviknight is badly injured and is currently resting at the Pokémon Center."

"We're sorry to hear that, so…" Gloria starts. "Is there another Corviknight Taxi in town that we could possibly use?"

The driver rubs the back of his head, "Unfortunately, every Corviknight in the Motostoke branch of the Corviknight Taxi are injured."

"How could something like that happen?" Victor asks.

"You see, we received an emergency call from a Pokémon Nursery in Bridge Field in the Wild Area for medicine," the driver starts. "But a large Skarmory flock had taken the spot toward the nursery as their territory, and they attacked all Corviknight Taxi that tried to make the delivery, leaving them all too injured to fly."

"Can't you just fly around the Skarmory?" Gloria asks.

The driver slowly shakes his head, "The flock is so large, and the only flyable path to the Nursery is so narrow, there's no way for a Corviknight Taxi to reach, around, above, or below the flock. The only way is through them."

Victor looks down slightly, "The Pokémon Nursery probably needs that medicine…" He then holds up a Poké Ball, before turning and throws it. "Go, Corviknight!"

The Poké Ball opens and shoots out red energy, which forms Corviknight, "Knigh!"

"I recognized that Corviknight…" the driver realizes, before looking at Victor and Gloria. "I thought you kids look familiar. You are the Trainers who left with Rookidee, who dreamed to join the Corviknight Taxi."

Gloria smiles, "Oh yeah, I forgot it had that dream."

"Yeah, I forgot…" Victor says, before looking up at Corviknight, and then back to the driver. "We could fly the medicine to the Nursery."

"You can?" The driver asks, before placing a hand to his chin. "I'm not too sure about letting rookies do the job…" He then looks up at Corviknight. "But I can tell just by looking at Corviknight, that it's both fast and strong… Okay, I'll let you do it."

"We won't let you down," Victor says, with Gloria nodding her head.

"Knigh!" Corviknight calls out.

"Glad to hear it," the driver says. "But before you set out, there are some things I need to go over with you."

As the driver starts to talk with Victor and Corviknight, Gloria looks over to the side to see a little girl waving her over.

Gloria walks over to the girl, "Hi, may I help you with something?"

The girl gives a small bow, "My name is Paula. And I want to know if you're going to Ballonlea anytime soon."

"I actually am," Gloria answers, before Paula holds up an envelope to her.

"Can you deliver this letter to a boy I like, named Frank?" Paula asks.

Gloria takes the worn and faded envelope, "This looks so old, but why…?"

Gloria looks ahead to see Paula is gone, before quickly looking left to right, "What? Where…"

"Hey, Gloria!"

Gloria turns to see Victor waving at her, with Corviknight standing next to him, "We're ready to go."

"Right, on my way," Gloria starts to walk over, placing the envelope into her bag.

Victor and Gloria are in the cab, as Corviknight carries them through the sky.

Gloria looks out the side of the cab, "I love walking around, seeing everything up close, but this is just incredible. Right…?" Gloria turns to see Victor is looking ahead, with his eyes lowered. "Victor, are you okay?"

"I actually did forget about Corviknight's dream, when it was a Rookidee," Victor starts. "And now I'm afraid, afraid that Corviknight will leave to join the Corviknight Taxi…"

"Victor…" Gloria starts to reach out to him.

"Knigh!"

Victor and Gloria look ahead to see the Skarmory flock far in front of them.

"It's them, the Skarmory flock," Victor realizes.

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon, The pointed feathers of these Pokémon are sharper than swords. Skarmory and Corviknight fight viciously over territory."

"Well, that prophetic," Gloria says, as Victor lowers his Rotom Phone.

"Okay, let's do this," Victor holds up two Poké Balls, which opens up and shoots out red energy, forming Scorbunny and Pikachu.

"Scor!"

"Pika Pi!"

Victor stands up, holding onto the cab, "Skarmory, please listen. We are trying to deliver some medicine. So please, let us pass!"

"Skar!" a couple of the Skarmory fly ahead, as their wings are glowing.

"So much for diplomacy," Gloria says.

"Scorbunny, Ember! Pikachu, Thunder Shock!" Victor calls out. "Keep them away from the cab and Corviknight!"

"Scor!" Scorbunny starts shooting a series of small fireballs from its mouth.

"Pika Pi! Chu!" Pikachu shoots out a blast of electricity.

"Skar!" The Skarmory fly in opposite directions, dodging the attacks.

"Scor!" Scorbunny shoots small fireballs at a Skarmory, who flaps its wings and fly above the attack.

"Pika!" Pikachu shoots a blast of electricity, as a Skarmory flies to the side to dodge.

"Pika Pi!" Pikachu starts to climb up the side of the cab and jumps onto Corviknight's back, before shooting another blast of electricity. "Pika! Chu!"

Three Skarmory fly in different directions, dodging the attack.

Gloria looks around, "Electric and Fire type attacks work well on Steel and Flying types, but it doesn't matter if they don't hit."

"Scor!" Scorbunny shoots small fireballs, before noticing Gloria holding up a Poké Ball.

"Perhaps I should send out Drizzile, Water types aren't too affective, but Water Pulse could keep them back as a long distance attack."

"Scor," Scorbunny says, before looking ahead. "Scor!" Scorbunny jumps out of the cab.

"What? Scorbunny?!" Victor realizes.

"Scor!" Scorbunny lands on a Skarmory's back, before opening its mouth which gives off a small heat glow. "Scor!"

"Skar!"

Suddenly, another Skarmory flies by, with its wings glowing silver, and hits Scorbunny, knocking it off the first Skarmory.

"Scor!" Scorbunny spins in the air, before starting to spin around and kicks, when another Skarmory slams its glowing wing against Scorbunny, knocking it out of the air. "Scor!"

"Scorbunny!" Victor calls out, as Scorbunny is falling.

Gloria throws a Poké Ball, "Orbeetle, catch Scorbunny!"

"Or, beet!" Orbeetle appears from red energy and flies down, before grabbing onto Scorbunny and then flies back up.

"Scor…" Scorbunny sighs.

"Or, beet," Orbeetle flies up to the cab.

"Thank you, Orbeetle," Victor takes Scorbunny from Orbeetle.

"Scor," Scorbunny blushes.

"Or, beet," Orbeetle happily says.

"Okay, Orbeetle, it's our turn," Gloria says, before holding out a hand. "Use Psybeam!"

"Or, beet," Orbeetle says, before flying away from the cab. "Or, beet!" Orbeetle shoots a ray from its head, with several of the Skarmory scattering before they could get hit.

"Or, beet!" Orbeetle continues to fire rays as the Skarmory keeps on dodging the attacks.

"The Skarmory are too fast for Orbeetle," Gloria says, as Pikachu continues to shoot electricity from on top Corviknight.

"Skar! Skar!"

A Skarmory flies past Orbeetle, hitting it with its glowing wing, before another Skarmory flies past, hitting Orbeetle with its glowing silver wing. And then another, then another with a glowing wing.

"Orbeetle, defend with Reflect!" Gloria calls out.

"Or, beet," yellow energy starts to gather in front of Orbeetle, before a Skarmory hits it with a glowing silver wing. "Or!" Another Skarmory hits with a glowing wing. "Beet!"

"Skar!" A Skarmory hits Orbeetle with a glowing silver wing.

"Or, beet…" Orbeetle is knocked through the air, before turning into red energy and flies back into Gloria's Poké Ball.

Gloria looks at her Poké Ball, "It's okay, Orbeetle, you tried your best."

Victor looks up at Pikachu, who continues to shoot blasts of electricity, barely keeping the Skarmory away from Corviknight and the cab.

"Pika! ...Chu! Pika!"

Victor looks at Scorbunny in his hands, before looking ahead, as a large part of the Skarmory flock remains in the distance, as the cab isn't moving an inch.

"We are getting no closer to the Nursery…" Victor says, as Scorbunny looks up at him. "But with its speed and power, Corviknight is the only one who can fight off Skarmory, but it can't while carrying everyone…"

"Scor?"

Victor looks back up, "Pikachu, return to the cab."

"Pika?" Pikachu looks down, before jumping off Corviknight and onto the cab and then climbing into the cab.

Victor holds up two Poké Balls, "Return, both of you."

Scorbunny and Pikachu turn into red energy and fly into their Poké Balls.

Victor looks up, "Corviknight, fly as high as you can, then drop us!"

"Knigh?!"

"What?!" Gloria calls out.

Victor looks to Gloria, "With Corviknight's speed, it could drop us, defeat the Skarmory, and catch us before it's too late."

"Maybe, but…" Gloria says.

"Knigh…" Corviknight looks down at the cab.

Victor holds onto the side of the cab, looking up, "It's okay, Corviknight. I trust you."

"Knigh," Corviknight nods its head. "Knigh!"

Corviknight flies straight up, carrying the cab with it, as the Skarmory watch them.

Victor and Gloria lower themselves in the cab, holding onto their bags and the cab.

"We're ready, whenever you are," Victor says.

Corviknight finishes taking the cab as high as it could, before releasing a large sigh, and then lets go of the cab.

"Knigh!" Corviknight flies down past the cab, as it in freefall, toward the gathered Skarmory.

"Skar! Skar!"

Several of the Skarmory fly up at Corviknight, either with their wings glowing or glowing silver, hitting Corviknight, as it tries to counter with its own glowing silver wings, but fails.

"Knigh! Knigh!"

The cab continues in freefall.

"Skar! Skar!"

Another group of Skarmory fly toward Corviknight.

"Knigh! Knigh!" Corviknight flies ahead, as fast as it could, before starting to spin around, blowing past the Skarmory. "Knigh!"

Corviknight continues to spin, blowing through the flock of Skarmory, as the cab continues its freefall.

"Skar! Skar!" all the Skarmory start to fly away.

"Knigh!" Corviknight stops spinning, before starting to fly down toward the falling cab.

The cab continues its freefall.

"Knigh! Knigh!" Corviknight spins around rapidly, building up speed, as it starts to reach the cab.

Corviknight stops spinning, grabs the top of the cab, and pulls it ahead, before the cab could hit the top of some trees.

Victor and Gloria are knocked back a little inside the cab.

"Knigh! Knigh!"

Victor, still on the floor of the cab, looks up, "We're okay, Corviknight. I know you will be able to catch us."

"Knigh," Corviknight happily responds.

Victor and Gloria stand back up, with Gloria noticing the Skarmory are flying away, "Look, the Skarmory are leaving." She looks over to Victor. "I guess they realized it wasn't worth keeping on battling."

"Guess so," Victor says, before looking back up. "Alright, Corviknight, let's continue onward."

"Knigh!" Corviknight responds, before starting to fly the cab ahead.

Outside the Pokémon Nursery in the Bridge Field, a woman, with a large brown bag in her hands, bows slightly in front of Victor and Gloria.

"Thanks again, for delivering this medicine," the woman says, as she straightens up. "This will help a lot of sick Pokémon."

"Don't mention it, we're glad we arrive in time," Victor says.

The woman smiles, before she turns away and approaches the Nursery.

Gloria looks to Victor, "We really did a great job."

"Yeah," Victor says, before he turns and sees Corviknight on top of the cab. "...And I realized what I must do…"

Back in Motostoke, the Corviknight Taxi driver stands next to the cab and in front of Victor, Gloria, and Corviknight.

"Thanks a lot for your help," the driver says. "I'm sure it was trying."

"I wouldn't say that," Gloria rubs the back of her head

Victor turns to look up at Corviknight.

Victor throws a Poké Ball, "Go, Poké Ball!"

"Rooki!" the Poké Ball bounces off Rookidee's head, as it stretches out its wings, before Rookidee turns into red energy flies into the opening Poké Ball, which closes, lands on the ground, shakes three times, then stops with small starts flying off the center button.

Victor picks up the Poké Ball and holds it up, "Alright, I caught Rookidee!"

One by one, Scorbunny, Rookidee, Sobble, and Dottler are given a spoonful of Curry.

"So…" Victor holds back a spoon. "Do you like it?"

"Scor! Scor!" Scorbunny happily jumps into the air.

"Deeeeeee!" Rookidee sings as it flaps its wings.

"Now, Rookidee, use Fury Attack!" Victor calls out.

"Dee!" still dive bombing, Rookidee's beak glows as it forces it forward.

"Gossifleur, quick, counter with Rapid Spin!" Milo instructs.

"Dee!" Rookidee is forced back before flying back ahead, strikes at the spinning Gossifleur, as the two Pokémon move around each other, striking at their opponent, either with a beak or spinning attack.

"Dee! Dee!" Rookiedee tries to pick itself up as the sandstorm beats down on it, before managing to raise its head with tears in its eyes. "Dee!"

Rookidee's body starts to glow, as it gets up and gets bigger. It spreads its wings, as the glow finally ends, "Squir!"

Corvisquire flaps its wings and takes off, through the sandstorm, motioning left and right as it approaches Victor, "Squir!"

Victor hugs Corvisquire, "Thank you, Corvisquire."

"Squir," Corviesquire smiles.

Corvisquire smiles, then spreads out its wings, "Squir!"

Suddenly, Corvisquire's body glows, as it gets larger, and then the glowing ceases, "Knigh!"

"Now, Corviknight!" Victor holds his arm to the side then holds out a hand. "G-Max Wind Rage!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight, within inches of Gengar, starts flapping its wings, blowing a massive cyclone at Gengar.

"Gar!" Gengar's arms are blown away, before its entire body is blown backward, shrinking and reforming as a normal size Gengar, as it continues to be blown backward and slams into the Max Barrier. "Gar!"

Victor breathes in, before approaching his Pokémon, "Corviknight… I know you had always dreamed of joining the Corviknight Taxi…" Victor lowers his head, hiding his face. "And I want you to follow your dream…"

"Knigh!" Corviknight quickly interrupts.

Victor looks up, with small tears in his eyes, "Corviknight?"

"I think I understand," the driver steps forward.

"You do?" Gloria asks, as Victor brushes the tears out of his eyes.

"This job has taught me to learn to understand a Corviknight's heart," the driver explains. "It might be happy that it finally flew for Corviknight Taxi, but it now has a new dream."

"What's its new dream?" Victor asks.

"Don't you know?" the driver asks him.

Victor looks at Corviknight, locking eyes with it, "Your new dream… is to enter the Galar League with me, is it?"

"Knigh!" Corviknight happily says.

Victor hugs Corviknight, who places a wing on his back, "I'm happy to share a dream with you."

Gloria and the driver watch the pair, happily.

"Dreams can change and evolve over time, as Corviknight demonstrated. It now dreams of battling alongside its friends in the Galar League, a dream that Victor and all his Pokémon share. Can our heroes realize their dreams?"
